Global PokédeX Plus Forums _ News and Updates _ GPX+ Mobile! [Pokechests]

Update #1: Mobile Achievements page is online!

Update #2: Your skin selection on the main site (other than random, sorta) will carry over to the Mobile site now. There isn't a skin selector yet, however.

Update #3: I've done a bit of an overhaul on the PC page, so it should hopefully be a lot easier to use. I've also lifted any sort of requirement to beta-test the site... that being said, keep in mind that many features are still missing or incomplete, and moreover, the only officially supported platforms at this point in time are Android 2.0+ and iOS 4.0+, so if you are using neither of these operating systems, it's entirely possible that certain features don't work properly. If you visit the mobile site from your mobile device, but end up redirected to the main site, you're probably using some niche device that it doesn't recognize by default as valid... go to http://gpxplus.net/agent *ON YOUR PHONE/MOBILE DEVICE* (apparently this wasn't clear...) if this happens, post the User Agent string here, and I'll fix it up for you, yup yup.

Update #4: *Some* items may now be used... namely, Repel, Sweet Honey, Fossils, Summons, Dowsing MCHN, Discount Coupon and Odd Incense. They can either be activated in your inventory or from any page using the item activation dialogue, which has an icon in the header (the suitcase one). Regardless of where you activate the item from, once you do, you'll automagically be redirected to the relevant page... Lab for summons, Shop for Discount Coupon, and so on, yup yup.

Update #5: The "Move to PC" options has been slightly tweaked to allow you to move Pokemon anywhere, not just your PC... for this change (and as a general note, for pretty well any update ever to take full effect for you), you'll need to make sure you manually reload the entire page (not just pressing the reload icon in the corner to reload that specific section, or anything), yup yup.

Update #6: The Mobile Dex is online... I need to come up with a better way to handle selecting which Pokemon to view, but other than that, it's pretty well done, yup yup.

Update #7: I've added the ability to, rather than having select all the Pokemon in your party (Mobile Walker) to release/hatch, the ability to do so with just one button press. Also, I've added a section to the PC, wherein you can manage all the Pokemon in there at once, the same way you would your Party Pokemon, yup yup.

Update #8: I've added in the ability for Heart Scales and Flame Orbs to be used... rather than a separate option, like on the main site, if you have any in your possession, you'll automatically be able to release/hatch an otherwise ineligible Pokemon normally, though using the item, however it will notify you when doing so will use one of those items, yup yup.

Update #9: I've made some tweaks to the site as for it to better make use of the larger displays on tablet devices. These tweaks work best on iPads running iOS5, though any supported browser should be fine. I've added another screenshot down below showing the tweaks.

Update #10: I've finished the help page; I've also added in Trinkets and Battle Tower, though the former is non-functional, and the latter only permits Pokemon to be withdrawn from it. Poke Hunt entries can also now be submitted on the mobile site, and I'll be trying to get a Poke Hunt page up by the end of this hunt. I've also made the main site start redirecting to the mobile one automagically for mobile devices, though if you prefer to disable this redirection, there's a link on the main page to do so, yup yup.

Update #11: I've made some improvements to how the site runs when an iOS users adds it to their home screen; there's a new, high-res icon that'll look a lot more crisp on retina iPhones and iPads (compare: http://i.imgur.com/Xdimn.png), as well as much nicer-looking, new splash screen and a few other minor tweaks. If you're an iOS user, for the best experience, it is recommended you use the "Add to Home Screen" option to run the site in a standalone browser; if you were already doing this, it's recommended you delete your bookmark and readd it. In addition to this, I've also made the Poke Hunt page operational, and (finally) added the ability to find items and Exploration items, though not chests et al. yet... though they should hopefully be soon, yup yup.

Update #12: The mobile accessory shop is now online. For all pages on which the "Pokemon options" select box displays (Party, Mobile Walker, PC, Battle Tower, and now Daycare as well), I've added an option for moving all Pokemon at once, as it is on the main site. I've also reordered the Daycare page, putting eggs on top so you don't need to scroll down to reach them. I've added a new footer bar (which will http://c.jslater.ca/1Q472Z0m3X001T3o3R3F if you're on a supported device), which will be used to display the Pokemon options select, as well as different sections on certain pages (Shelter, Shop, as well as Battle Tower, Trinkets and Shine Recorder when they're online). Finally, I've made some performance improvements for iOS users who have saved the site to their home screen, yup yup.

Update #13: I had wanted to finish this up sooner so it'd be available before the start of the Site-wide shiny race this month, but all the same, the Shine Recorder is now available on the mobile site, yup yup!

Update #14: The Prize Shop is now usable, as are Vouchers, yup yup.

Update #15: I've redone the Stats page to make it more usable and revamped the Pokedex as well. When you're adopting a Pokemon or Egg in the Shelter, the box confirming if you want to do so will now tell you what it is, yup yup.

Update #16: Sprites, and alt sprites unlocked are now displayed in the Pokedex. I've also added a option to load more Pokemon once you finish a batch in the Berry Feeder, yup yup.

Update #17: Pass Powers are now usable. I've made some graphical tweaks, and made some improvements so the site should work better in Opera and Firefox mobile, yup yup.

Update #18: Pokechests can now be opened (but other Trinket-related features are still unavailable), yup yup.

This has been under development on and off for quite a while now, and at this point, it's ready for a public beta: GPX+ Mobile, a mobile-optimized version of the website!

The mobile version of the site presently targets devices with iOS or Android exclusively - it theoretically should work fine on other devices, but users of both these two platforms (specifically iOS, due to some minor quirks in Android's browser) will have the best experience... and I have no way, at present, to test on anything else, so there's no way of telling if something doesn't work properly or not.

Although the site is being released to the public now, it's not entirely complete, there are a few features that are still missing - namely, the ability to view and unlock Achievements, your Pokedex, a Help page, and your Journal, as well as the ability to use most items (Repel, Summons, Fossils, Shine Recorder, etc.), but the majority of the site is usable.

There's also a new way to raise your Pokemon and eggs available presently, exclusively through the mobile site - the Mobile Walker. You can deposit up to three Pokemon or Eggs in the Mobile Walker at a time, and then activate your Mobile Walker once per hour, upon which they'll gain steps or experience points based on how far you've traveled since the previous activation.

Since this is just a public beta, it won't be initially available to all users - only users on devices with iOS or Android, who have been registered for 120 days or more will have access initially, though once it's been tested, and more work has been done, it'll be available to everybody.

To access the site, visit http://m.gpxplus.net/ on your mobile device (though after the final release, http://gpxplus.net/ will redirect to the mobile site automagically).

And finally, for the users who aren't able to use this at present, here are a few screen shots as well:

Be sure to report any bugs or issues, and to make any suggestions in the appropriate forums. Also, please tag the topic titles for all GPX Mobile-related threads with [mobile] so that it's easy to distinguish them from threads about the main site, yup yup!

Real life... physically, how far you've traveled, yup yup.

SEXY. I love you so much now.

Posted by: Lord Canti Nov 16 2010, 08:24 PM

At times like this I wish I had some kind of phone with wireless capabilities.

The M walker sound sexy and beneficial.

Posted by: Kazz Nov 16 2010, 08:25 PM

*goes to add it to my springboard*

Woot. Funny, I was just thinking about this today while on the site during my break between classes.

EDIT:

Ok I'm trying it out and this is just plain awesome. Great work BB.

Posted by: G1zStar Nov 16 2010, 08:26 PM

so for those who disabled that option in the mobile browser that asks if you want to let sites know your location basically don't get the same bonus as people who are all over the place?

Posted by: Mreow Nov 16 2010, 08:27 PM

You, sir (Big Bidoof that is), are a genious! Loving it, will definately start GPX'ing on the go from now on!

Yeah, if it can't obtain your location, it'll just throw an error message, yup yup.

Posted by: Silverwing Nov 16 2010, 08:32 PM

How far you have traveled as in total distance or the distance between your starting point and ending point?

Posted by: Big Bidoof Nov 16 2010, 08:33 PM

Distance between the starting point and the ending point, yup yup.

Posted by: G1zStar Nov 16 2010, 08:35 PM

stats in party do not line up in my Samsung Vibrant in portrait mode (vertical) but they do in landscape (horizontal).

Posted by: Katniss Nov 16 2010, 08:35 PM

This is epic! I've just been using regular gpx on my iPod touch recently, but now I can make it even faster? Yay!!! thank you gpxplus for making this!

One question: Does it let you find items for explorations and stuff like that?

Posted by: MegaMaster Nov 16 2010, 08:36 PM

This is so cool. I need to have this. Good job on the sexy work bro.

Posted by: m190049 Nov 16 2010, 08:36 PM

Is it wrong to say that it looks smother and sexier than the actual website?
Because it does. By a lot. ...WANT.

Nope. I just tried. haven't tested my Wii, sence I'm grounded from it. pinch.gif

Posted by: Icicle Nov 16 2010, 08:38 PM

Hm. I wish I had a fancy smartphone like one of them Droids or iPhones..

Though.. makes me want an iPod Touch a bit more than I already did.. hmm..

Posted by: Little Glass Vial Nov 16 2010, 08:38 PM

Wow, sweeeet. I've been waiting for-ev-er for this. One complaint though.

GPX Mobile -> Not aloud

hahaha, it's allowed.

Posted by: AmyL Nov 16 2010, 08:38 PM

Love the shelter and being able to click pokemon on my phone!

It did lock up on me when I tried to hatch a pokemon though.

Some things are a bit slower on the mobile site over using the regular site on my phone.

Posted by: richkid50000 Nov 16 2010, 08:39 PM

And Big Bidoof wins the prize for best mobile site ever. im just admiring all the features of it on my itouch. amazing. clicking(more like tapping) is sweet.

Posted by: Solace Nov 16 2010, 08:41 PM

Been wondering when this was going to come out. Hooray for Project M thrust.gif
Now if only I could use it sad.gif
Then again, mabye I could get something for Christmas that could use it...

Posted by: Shaon Nov 16 2010, 08:42 PM

This looks completely awesome, but unfortunately I seem to be unable to use it.

This is what shows up when I log in:

HTC Droid Eris using Dolphin HD Browser (and a custom Android 2.2 ROM, if that has any impact).

edit: Ugh, I've really only been registered 114 days? I'm not quite understanding the days restriction in the first place. :|

Posted by: Caladrius Nov 16 2010, 08:43 PM

This makes me actually kind of grateful my mobile is as low tech as it gets - so I´m not even getting tempted to compulsively check my pixel eggies everywhere I go... ALL THE TIME. Good lord. o3o.gif

The new walker function is really neat though... Do want.

Posted by: G1zStar Nov 16 2010, 08:43 PM

So so far I've found a few annoyances: (These are all on the Samsung Vibrant)
Stats do not line up in portait mode
You cannot move in the pc boxes after moving it for the first time
The pokemon icons in the pc look terrible (this was like that in the normal site too so idk if its just my phone but I do know that it also looked terrible before on the main website when I used a mytouch3g)
When I choose the option move to mobile walker from the party I have to touch the screen again for the confirmation pop-up to appear. (might also happen with the other options idk)

Posted by: Piratice Nov 16 2010, 08:44 PM

Don't have those phones so it doesn't matter to me, but sweet job! happy.gif

Looks quite nice on the Touch. I bought a 1G last month for just over a hundred bucks. Don't need a fancy schmancy 4G. Depends on what you like though.

@ BB:

I get an error upon trying to hatch an egg for some reason.

"There was an error processing your request. Please try again shortly!"

Posted by: Retrospect Nov 16 2010, 08:47 PM

Awesome! Glad to finally see public beta. I'll have to see if my Zune HD can pick it up. <3

@ Shaon: I'm guessing your account isn't old enough by a couple days. I'll have to add it up.
Edit: Yeah, looks like you won't be eligible until the 21st of this month. Just 5 more days.

Posted by: JelloJolteon2000 Nov 16 2010, 08:48 PM

Haha, I think I was just reconnected to my soul for when Thanksgiving weekend rolls around; my brother's Droid beware!

Posted by: DynamicAction Nov 16 2010, 08:50 PM

Mother of science, what will they come up with next?

I'll be checking this on my DSi, what I think a pretty common device, later tonight. That is, if I can find the damn thing.

Posted by: EnchantingOpheliac Nov 16 2010, 08:55 PM

Oh this is awesome! I'll test it tomorrow during history class :P

Posted by: Pimpburger Nov 16 2010, 08:55 PM

Oh I don't care about 4G or any of that crap. If I got a cheap iPod Touch that ran the site smoothly I'd be happy as a clam xD;

Posted by: Robert Conley Nov 16 2010, 08:58 PM

Posted by: Mebukijika Nov 16 2010, 08:58 PM

I would think this was really awesome if I had a cell phone. noes.gif

Still, good job - I'm sure a lot of people will benefit greatly from this. happy.gif

Posted by: Scooples Nov 16 2010, 08:59 PM

Oh, niiice. grin.gif *stares at screenshots* Looks pretty sweet! And the Mobile Walker is made of win. o_o I won't be able to use this (I barely use my phone for anything, let alone going on the internet), but it's an awesome update indeed. nod.gif

It does I'm using mine right now.(iOS means ipod operating system or something like that...)

Anyway, I reaaaaaally like this. I will use it a lot. grin.gif I especially love how fast the interactions go, it's no mass clicking but it's definitely helpful, at least for pal pad stuff.

Thank you BB!!

Definitely going to have to get an iPod touch just for this then, unfortunately I'm unemployed.

Posted by: AmyL Nov 16 2010, 09:08 PM

Have tried it on my vibrant and my touch and clicking eggs and pokemon are faster on my touch.
Only downside to the touch is it only works when you are somewhere that has internet, unlike my vibrant that is always connected.

Posted by: Kaldra Nov 16 2010, 09:19 PM

only a few words here. . .

EPIC WIN!

Posted by: Flamewire Nov 16 2010, 09:21 PM

I love this. Brilliant.

Posted by: The Cure Nov 16 2010, 09:22 PM

I have been waiting for this day. ALL PRAISE BIDOOOOOOOOF! Now I can sit in bed and do clicks. Score!

Posted by: Flamewire Nov 16 2010, 09:29 PM

Found what may be a glitch. I'm using ipod touch with iOS4.

When I go to the PC, if I tap on a Pokemon, the normal scroll thing appears (move to ... vs seeker, party, etc) but if I tap out of there, I can't get tap another Pokemon and get the scroll thing to appear again without going to another page and coming back.

Posted by: Mamanator Nov 16 2010, 09:32 PM

Seeing as how I'm a bit techno challenged, I thought I'd try connecting with my mobile device. At this time, I guess I'm not using iOS or Android-based devices as, after my log in attempt, it told me access was denied.

Ah well. I can wait. 'Sides, I can, in a pinch, access the regular GPX site on my mobile Sprint phone when I haven't had access by other means. It'll be nice, though, to view the new pages as it looks nicer and more legible / friendly.

Good job!

And yes, I've verified that I can, still, access basic GPX on my phone so.. no love lost there. Just no special features (yet). It's still ok. I'm still patient.

Using the Droid2, having problems logging in. Typed in username and password, hit log in and it acts like it's loading, but doesn't actually go anywhere. The URL changes to '#main' at the end, but I'm still at the log in page, with my info typed in.

Anyone else with this problem?

I won't lie, I'm disappointed that this was Project M. I never use my mobile phone, so I have no use for this. I was hoping that Project M would be something useful to everyone...

However, I'm certain that this was no easy task, and while it's not useful for me personally, I realise it will help many other users.

Good job, Big Bidoof, both in making this a reality and actually thinking of it in the first place.

But next time you start a secret project make it something I can enjoy, plzkthxbai

Touch any part of the screen and a confirmation pop-up should appear.

Okay some how I managed to get teh deoxys egg into the mobile walker, sure I am not going anywhere but just wanting to get used to this. Now I am trying to hatch my WV egg (yes I am on laptop, but again testing this out). I can't seem to get the touch any part of screen to bring up the hatch option. I selected hatch the egg. I touch the pop-out with the egg options on it but nothing happens. Touch anywhere outside of that pop-out and it just goes back to my party with nothing changed.

Hatching eggs seems to be better by using the party options, but the via method of a single target I am having problems with nothing happening.

Why? You can just put a direct link onto the 'desktop'. It actually has a nice little icon, too, from what I've seen. I haven't ever used an iPhone, but I'm sure it has a similar concept for bookmarking.

Wasting a bunch of time and money developing an app just to likely have it denied by Apple is not really a reasonable option at this point.

Posted by: AmyL Nov 16 2010, 11:04 PM

I am loving playing on my mobile devices but I have one suggestion, the buttons need to be spaced a little further apart. In the lab the view more eggs link needs to be a bit further away from the top egg in the list and in the berry feeder the choices need to be further apart from each other.

Posted by: Teeheedaruma Nov 16 2010, 11:06 PM

There's one thing that sorta bothers me...

When i open pokemon it seems like it only opens 1 or 2 pokemon/eggs from the same person. It would sorta stink if I really wasn't clicking people's whole parties. ( considering how annoying 1 clickers are )

^^ This. Imo it essentially is an app.

Icon looks like this on the ipod touch/iphone (well, not exactly like that since I have a certain skin applied but err yea). All you have to do is send it to your homepage (first page of the springboard).

I'm also having troubles with the pc; I can't move anything from the PC to my party. It doesn't show an error, it just doesn't move.

On the very positive side, the site is amazingly quick on my slightly sluggish wireless internet connection (I use an iPod touch, not an iPhone). QUOTE(wyrdash @ Nov 17 2010, 03:36 AM) *

[Correct me if I'm wrong] That happens if you are tapping the screen too quickly and hit the "interact" button twice for a pokemon.. it invalidates the whole set of 25, so you have to make sure to tap each button only once. And what do you mean by "the users recycle"? I guess that'd happen if the clicks didn't go through (like when you get the error for clicking too quickly).

Also, would it be possible to de-randomize the clicking a little? I feel terrible one/two/three-clicking the people when I use the "click people who are online" option. Also maybe separate the "people who have interacted with my pokemon" into clicks that I have returned and clicks that I haven't returned? That'd be because I'm reclicking much MUCH more than I used to, and I'd really rather just return interactions and click new people than click the same people over and over.

I'm sure the days registered limit is to prevent new members that got into the swing of clicking fairly quickly from over running the beta. It will be avalable for everyone (and be allowed to be used with other devices most likely) soon enough, it's still being worked on. So please just calm down and wait.

I've been on the mobile version since this morning (since I'm gone or in the car most of the day).

I can't seem to Prime the Mobile Walker? It can't find me at least. xD;

I do really like the berry feeder though. I was using the non-mobile sight before, and you couldn't interact with anything, so it's pretty neat ♥

So first I was all 8D, but then I was all >8[ cause apparently the Palm Pre's don't use iOS , dammit). And gpx is one of my few uses for my phone lol. Ah well, I can wait, should be epic cat.gif

That's because Palms use webOS. iOS is the operating system for Apple Products. nod.gif

I tried on the Zune HD to see if I could sneak onto it, but I couldn't. I figured I wouldn't be able to since it's a Windows device, but it was worth a shot.
*waits impatiently for public release* 8D

Just wanted to thank Retrospect for explaining the techno end of things for those of us not hip to the language. Knowing that you're (GPX) working on making it available to a broader market after the beta testing is stilling my impatience big time. And, as I said before, it isn't like the Palm Pre can't access GPX anyway as it can. I'm just looking forward to a better viewing angle once this mobile site becomes available to one and all (with mobile access, of course).

I'm real anxious to try out this new walker I'm reading / hearing about. It sounds awesome. I hope these tests go well and the release will be before.... the end of the year? ... the winter holidays? ... the turkey is cut? ... whenever you are ready to release, Big Bidoof. Yip, yap, yup. grin.gif

Beyond WebKit-powered devices (iOS, Android, WebOS, BB OS 6, and maybe others?), it's likely a no... something like 90% of mobile web traffic is comprised by these platforms, and beyond WebKit-based mobile browsers, standards support is all over the map, so it really won't be a priority to focus on other devices. Anything with a modern-enough web browser should work fine I'd imagine though, yup yup.

Posted by: Erzsebet Bathory Nov 17 2010, 10:50 PM

Personally, I kinda prefer the Berry Feeder. It's slower, but it's also more fun, sort of.

Posted by: Steakhouse Nov 17 2010, 11:21 PM

The mobile walker is a super useful feature for busy people such as myself. I really like the ability to put eggs in them....I took a few eggs from the lab to test but in the future I'm going to put in more high maturity ones happy.gif Maybe a bunch of Munchlax eggs so I can finally unlock playing hard to get!

Question: do interactions via the berry feeder count for the regular Pokewalker?

Posted by: kariohki Nov 17 2010, 11:50 PM

Just a bit of a nitpick, on the screen that appears when you're not permitted to see the site, the top banner should read "not allowed" instead of "not aloud"

Other than that, I can't wait to try out the mobile walker cat.gif

Posted by: SagaDavid Nov 18 2010, 01:52 AM

Thanks BB for quickly fixing some bugs.
Here's another, minor one: eggs hatched on the mobile site don't show up in the stats (but the pokemon obtained count goes up for new eggs taken).

The one thing I still worry about a bit, is the randomness of the Berry Feeder. Now it's almost impossible to feed full parties. I hope everyone who gets one-clicked from the Berry Feeder, will click back, because then its easy to click them more from the feeder.

Posted by: G1zStar Nov 18 2010, 03:46 AM

Anyways the thing is awesome but there WILL be a shitload of bugs (especially on older phones. I updated my phone from 2.1 to 2.2 software and it fixed a lot of bugs so imagine now if you try to use an older phone.)

Posted by: Airborne Nov 18 2010, 07:51 AM

Great idea! Just tried it out and love it so far. I'm a bit puzzled by how I'm supposed to scroll between PC boxes though, it only show th first two for me :/

Also I have a question. If you put a pokemon into the gpx mobile via cellphone, will it be possible to take it back via computer in case you lose your phone or run out of batteries? Or will it be automatically returned to you once the hour is up?

EDIT: Actually this has proven to a bit of a problem.. I entered a pokemon in the VS seeker via phone, and took it out bu the computer acts like it's still in there. I can enter a pokemon n the seeker via phone right now but not through the compouter which is a problem because I can't slide the boxes. Is this a known bug or do I just hav funny settings or something? :P It might have been stated earlier but... 11 pages man...

You'd have to look online or in your phone manual to see how to turn location on (or whatever your phone calls it). It's the same thing that navigational apps use, if that helps you.

I had the same thing happen to me, once yesterday, once today. In both cases, on the normal site I could not enter anything in the seeker, but on the mobile site I could. Luckily, on my phone sliding the pc boxes works (although it often registers a click on a pokemon as well). But even if the boxes don't slide, put something in the seeker from your first box, or from your party, and it will probably make your seeker accessible again.

Somethjng else: a few small suggestions:
On some screens, links are so close together that it is difficult to click the right one. In the lab, the link to refresh and show more eggs, is so close above the topmost egg. And the links for various categories on the berry feeder page are also a bit difficult (especially to select pal pad users, the other ones have a longer name and then you can click the end of the line, but I have miss-clicked a couple of times when I wanted to click pal pad. or perhaps my fingers aren't sufficiently delicate for this app.

I'm getting this sometimes too. Very annoying, as the 25 you click don't get submitted.

I also have a problem with the VS. Seeker. I put a Pokemon in there from the computer, then took it out on my iPod, but the image/ text showing it's ready to be taken out still shows up until I put something in on the iPod. I also can't seem to put something in the Training round on the mobile.

BB just closed the topic I opened about this in the bugs section. And indeed, bug is fixed, all the eggs you hatch now, show up in stats.

Also, I see the layout of some links was changed to buttons (like index page, start page of berry feeder). nice! much easier to click the right one! the mobile site is getting better all the time!

Just thought I'd let you know.

Couple more things:

Achievements page is inaccessible.
No settings page.
Berries are automatically switched to random? (Had them fixed on normal GPX)

Dunno if this is a glitch on my end or yours, but the mobile walker can't detect my location. I have an iPod Touch (and that's about as much as I know. :P)

Also, today there were buttons added to the top of the party page next to the options list that say "submit" and "cancel". When I select an option, it doesn't load like it used to, and if I select an option and then hit submit, it does nothing. I used to be able to hatch all of my eggs in my party at once, but now it seems broken and I have to go egg by egg (not a big deal, but it seems like an error).

Otherwise, really awesome. :P

Just another way to keep me addicted to GPX... bucktooth.gif

Since this is just a public beta, it won't be initially available to all users - only users on devices with iOS or Android, who have been registered for 120 days or more will have access initially, though once it's been tested, and more work has been done, it'll be available to everybody.

That's actually intentional, yup yup.

EEk suddenly the site became REALLY slow!
Did something happen, or is it my internet connection?

My bet's on your internet connection? What exactly do you mean, yup yup?

Ok, I don't know if this has been asked, but if I use the mobile site, will I have to log back in when I get back home? It's not really a problem, but I do sort of hate having to log in on a site that offers a "remember me" option so you don't have to log in every time you visit the site.

Nope, not at all, yup yup.
