Does anyone even play this game?
Has anyone even heard of it? I love it so much. I was just wondering if other people did too. -------------------- |

To be honest, Harvest Moon is one of the most boring games I've played. I've tried multiple times to get into it but I just can't. :/
I guess it's just not for me. -------------------- |

Hey, everyone has their own likes. I like it since I can marry the people in the game
And I get to have cute animals. |

I find it weird that I don't like it since I like Animal Crossing and they're both... well, life simulation games of some sort.

I agree, I find it tedious after you've finished the plotlines or get married. Then there's nothing to do but start over.

I liked the first one on the SNES and Friends of Mineral Town. Haven't really felt like buying any of the other ones though, all of the handheld ones after FoMT seem to look like FoMT with minor changes.

I never liked the first ones, but I got into it when my brother got the Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life for Gamecube.

I love the HM series, but they do get tedious fast. It's always interesting to see what they'll try and do to add new elements to the games.

I'm a rather big fan of the Harvest Moon series, having played/owned most games of the series. They're fun, but to concur with above statements, they do become tedious. I tend to play one for awhile, then go back to one I had already beaten. That way, I'm given myself enough time to forgot part of what happens.
What's your favorite game in the series? -------------------- |

Usually after I have a kid, I don't have the patience to watch it grow up )XD
But my favorites are the DS ones (Grand Bazaar and Tale of Two Towns definately) |

I've played/owned most of them myself. Sadly my ToTT disappeared, and I never got to completion with it. I wish I still had it, it's loads of fun.
Currently playing Sunshine Islands, just haven't had much motivation to play many games that much. They can get tedious at points, but overall I can't fully stop playing them. -------------------- Stuffs. (click to show ) |

I love Harvest Moon!
The first one I ever played was Harvest Moon: Back To Nature (so much nostalgia ; ~ ; ) Other HMs I've played were ToT and AWL. Is anyone planning on getting Land of Beginning (for the 3DS)? |

Is anyone planning on getting Land of Beginning (for the 3DS)? This guy that works at GameStop asked me if I wanted to pre-order anything, and I said no. He said, "Well, I'm just gonna tell you what you can pre-order in case you change your mind." "Well, okay, but you're not going to get me." "Yes I will." "Nope." "You watch. I will." So he went off saying anything and everything I could pre-order at the moment. Just Dance Disney, Animal Crossing, etc. and I kept saying "Nope, you're not going to get me." Then he said Harvest Moon. I slapped my hand on the counter and I said "Dang it! Ya beat meh! Put me down for it!" -------------------- |

I loved the Harvest Moon series! It has such charmingly cute graphics, in my opinion. C:
I've played most of them, and I'm still playing through Animal Parade on the Wii. -------------------- D - O - G - A - R - S, DOGARS! Stuff (click to show ) Credits (click to show ) |

In most of my HM games, I like to use cheats, but I challenged myself to not use them, and it's pretty hard )XD It also stinks when you give someone a gift, and they hate it, so you try something else, and they hate that one more XD
But before I start any HM game, I see what guys I can marry )XD |

harvest moon ds is one of my many addictions. the rune factory games are pretty good too. I like the Rune Factory games because they have major plotlines that extend through the whole game. (Not that others don't, it's just that the Rune Factory ones seem a bit more...thrilling...and exciting. It's not restoring a frikin island or valley. [like EVERY. OTHER. GAME.]) And you can fight monsters. It's a farming/adventure game and it's fantastic. I also looove the quest system. That way you aren't running around day after day just watering your crops and brushing your animals. You actually get to do something a little different, if not productive. -------------------- |
