With the Mega Ring now available and with us receivin a free Mega Stone just for the GPX 5th anniversary, I think it's safe to say that Gen 6 will be here before we know it!

Which Mega Stone did you receive after you purchased the Mega Ring?

I got a Manectite so I used it on my shiny Manectric that I got three years ago:

I've got Absolite, too
My only Absol is not yet ready to evolve, though.

I have started a shiny Absol hunt today, and am planing to mega-evolve at least 1-2 from every hatch-batch (maybe more later, after I get the shiny) and release them.

Wow, Mega Garchomp looks positively wicked! That one and Mega Ampharos are my favourites so far (the Charizard(ite) X I have isn't bad either.)

I've been releasing some Charizard Xs (but very slowly because I'm using them to work on my "trained to level 100 stat"). :P

I wouldn't have picked it as my first Mega Stone to have, but I'm not complaining.
Once I finish up one of my other shiny hunts, I'll re-hunt Bulbasaur.

Now that Halloween's arrived and we all got a shiny new Mega Stone, time for me to revive this topic. So,

Which Mega Stone did you receive today?
I got a Gyaradosite, and I was going to evolve one of the shiny ones I got from the SWSH a year ago, but it needs to be a specific weather to evolve it. Oh well. At least we were finally able to get some more, and it appears the other XY Megas were added too!

Also got a bit of a question about what kinds of Mega Stones there'll be. I know right now there's most if not all the Kalos Mega Stones out there, but were any from ORAS implemented, or at least in the works? Also I'm assuming that Hoopa and Volcanion will be implemented once they are officially revealed?

Hate to break it to you, but as of now there isn't any way to get Mega Stones. The only way to get one was to be active during the two days they were given out.

Not necessarily. Without it, you can't Mega Evolve anything at all. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you're even able to receive Mega Stones (which seem to only obtained from the Admins as a prize/bonus at this stage) unless you possess a Mega Ring.

My second Mega Stone is a Blazikenite. I evolved my Shiny Blaziken straight away and released a box of Megas soon after.

The only Mega Stone I have gotten so far is Charizardite X though I haven't evolved my Charizard yet.


I wonder when we might see the 20 new Mega Evolutions that are in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire be added to GPX and should there be Mega Evolutions for Novelty Pokemon too? (e.g. Mega Dracowymsy, Mega Pokii, Mega Bidofo, etc)

I finally caught a thunderstorm on GPX! Just released a little more than half a box of mega gyarados and one mega blaziken @:53.

Don't forget there is a 15 minute delay, so they should be in there anytime after :08.

Now that it has almost been a year since the Mega were added, I figure I should add a little mini-topic to this thread:

Which Mega Stones have you received so far? Do you have any shiny Megas?
I got seven of them so far. Chronologically, I have gotten a Manectite, Gyaradosite, Mawilite, Banettite, Garchompite, Abomasite and Mewtwonite Y. I got shinies of most of them, Mewtwo obviously being the exception.

I got all seven that were released as of today. In chronological order, Blazikenite, Tyranitarite, Pinsirite, Heracronite, Alakazite, Gyradosite, and Absolite.
Out of all of them, I only had Tyranitar and Absol shiny. I still need a Dusk Stone to get shiny Mega Absol, though.

Don't know chronologically but my mega stones are Ampharosite, Blazikenite, Gengarite, Houndoominite, Mewtwonite X, and Venusaurite.

Still haven't used a single one though. I am hunting for a shiny of each though and will probably use it first on them, need to add Torchic to my shiny hunts though since I got that today.

And sorry if it's been asked before, but I was wondering why the BST for Megas was 480 instead of 600 or higher like other final evolutions. I wanted to use Mega Mawile in the Battle Tower but it was... underwhelming and I just found out why.

You know what's more messed up? The second/third wave of megas have the exact same stats as their GPX non-mega forms. I've been asking for some consistency...either give them all in game stats or all 600, not both.
