Rules

• Regular forum rules still apply here. Basically don't double post. Don't ask for clicks every time you fill your party. Unless it gets out of hand*, I'm okay with you linking to an exploration Pokemon who needs a specific berry.
  
  *out of hand meaning I don't want to see Pokémon being linked just for leveling or if they need drinks for happiness. These kinds of interactions can be handled just fine by being in your parties and signatures.
  
  
• Do not post your shinies here, there's a http://forums.gtsplus.net/index.php?showtopic=5491 for that. Discussing them is OK though! Just make sure you add content to your post.
  
  
• Make sure your post contains worthwhile content. If you're posting an exploration Pokémon to be fed berries then be sure to add other content to your post. Same with discussing shinies. Find people to reply to or start a discussion yourself! Your post must, with the shiny portion and berry feeding hypothetically removed*, not read as if you're talking to yourself. To clarify, your post should not be an out-loud thought to yourself, and should contain more general discussion than just information on your current shiny luck.
  
  *if you were to read your post, skipping over any mention of shinies, the post should still sound like a good post.
  
  If any posts are found breaking this rule then they will be instantly deleted and handed a 10% warn.
  
  
• Do not post your GPX+ gear grinders in this thread either. There's also a http://forums.gtsplus.net/index.php?showtopic=49472 for that. This is mostly for raging at staff or site events that you don't like.

Monthly Raffle

Nominations are now gone, and I'm using post count to determine how many entries you have into the raffle. The first 19 posts you have will count as one entry, and every ten after that will count as an extra. Think of it as the first number of your post count is how many entries you have. To see what your post count is, click on the number of replies any certain thread has. Nothing else on the site will influence the amount of entries you receive, so if you'd like a chance to win, then post here frequently!

The raffle is what chooses who gets to choose what's in next month's egg distribution. There are no other site advantages other than that, and even then the whole site gets a chance at that Pokémon that you chose!

How to get an egg from this event

• You must keep at least one slot open in your party.
• You MUST have logged in sometime on GPX+ in the last two weeks.
• You can not be in the restricted group.

IMPORTANT EVENT NOTES

1. No, you do NOT have to be online at the time I am sending out eggs.
2. These eggs do NOT show up in the Lab for the event. They are sent out randomly.
3. There is ONE set shiny for each Pokémon, but every other egg has a regular chance of being shiny.
4. If you obtain ONE of the eggs from this event, you will NOT be able to obtain another one from this same event. This means if you get an egg on day 1 of this event, you can't get an event egg from any other day during this event. By the way, abandoning an event egg does nothing. So if you get one you might as well keep it and be happy.
5. If we find any accounts being made just to get eggs from the event then they will be immediately banned along with your main.
6. If you were a winner of the raffle, your chosen Pokémon will be spawned into your party on the day of the event. It won't be forced shiny, but there's always a small chance just like any other egg! This will not count as an event egg and you can still receive one from the event.
7. There is no guarantee that you'll receive an egg.
8. Eggs chosen will not be available to pick from again for 3 months. If x egg was in the January egg distribution, then it can not be chosen again until April.
9. The event runs at 4 p.m. server time.

Event dates and what's being handed out

• June 2nd: Tapu Koko - Winner: Telethia Plume - 200 eggs
• June 3rd: Xerneas - Winner: Eponadis - 200 eggs
• June 4th: Fossil Archen - Winner: PokeNOM NOM NOM - 200 eggs
• June 5th: Terrakion - 200 eggs
• June 6th: A guardian deity of the Alola region. Its energy source is the ocean's currents. ~ Tapu Fini ~ 200 eggs

I'll just go for the 6th. Fini is my favorite of the Tapus after Koko, who I already have. I'd like a shiny Koko but as there isn't another way to get one, I'll wait and let people who want/need one to have that.

So I suspect we'll see Nebby soon given the item from the SWSH
Edit: Both flutes are in the prize shop? Well I bought the Sun one so I have it. I prefer the lion over the bat.

Can't wait to see how to get Cosmog! I got the Moon Flute from the SWSH and bought the Sun Flute from the prize shop.

I'm torn. Of course I want the mystery mon since that's another dex entry out of the way, but Xerneas was my second choice for the raffle, and I'd love to try for a shiny.

Pinch, punch, first of the month! But, wow, June.. Year's passing by pretty quick. I guess I'll hold out for the 6th if I can remember...

I managed to get six shinies from the SWSH but unfortunately I had a two-fer so one of them didn't count.. so that's sort of bittersweet. hehe.

And E3 is coming up, too! So that's going to be interesting this month.

Well I know which one I'll be going for.

Then there's Cosmog coming!! I won the Moon Flute and bought the Sun Flute. I couldn't even find it at first though.

Hard to believe it's June already. I'm hoping to get a lot of things done over the summer.

As for the explorations, I'm doing Mewtwo and maybe Darkrai later on, but now I'm kind of stuck on one of the tasks. Oh well.

Anyway, all that aside. Definitely going to be going for that ~~mystery~~ on the 6th, since I have everything else and it won't really be any skin off my back to miss them; then as far as monthly explos I gotta go for Mew and Mewtwo- Mew because I love that shade of blue for shinies, and Mewtwo because, well, it's Mewtwo, come on. (and I also have fond memories of writing a thing around that explo's plot line but that's beside the point)

Picked up a moon flute from the shop since I ended up with a sun flute in my bag. as soon as i am able i want to begin collecting cosmogs because honestly why wouldn't you it's adorable. I was actually kind of disappointed to learn that you could only get one two cosmogs per game because, well. I love them and I want all of them. little space floofs.

Nice choices for this month. Now I just need to remember to lock my party until the last day and hope I get lucky. May try to break my clicking record (not necessarily today). Won't be for the highest achievement as that requires way more effort than I can give right now but it'd be nice to get some of my stats back up in rank.

I got the Sun Flute for hatching Shiny Alolan Grimer ^^ I tried to go for a second shiny (Alolan Vulpix), but no joy, so I bought the Moon Flute xD

I'm also thinking I should buy extras, because they're fancy... And I have to admit that I'm SUPER glad they're not Summon Items themselves...the summon system here scares me so much

As for the Egg Dist...I'm torn, I need Tapu Koko still, but I want the new mystery one! Honestly, I might just leave my party open every day except Fossil Archen...

aaaayyyy i ended up with a sun flute for the shiny alolatales. first swsh i've won in months. i was able to buy the moon flute and i caNNOT WAIT FOR MY SMOL FLOOF COSMOG. i'm so pumped y'all.

i'll be tryin' for tapu koko, and if not then i'll aim for the ~mystery mon~. probably won't be doing any explorations tho.

Aha! I did it though - I finished Master Commuter (Holy moly, did 900+ battles in nine days). but it's done. I have finished all the achievements.

Juuune ugh. this month and the following month fills me with stress. My boss will be out for two weeks and then my co-worker for three. That leaves us shorthanded in the service department - my department! Ugh, it's gonna be a nightmare.

So June is here and will bring the missing Xerneas entry to my pokedex. I hope a lot of other people will be happy to get one too.
Somehow I got a "last minute" Shiny Alola Sandshrew yesterday which is cool. Also I bought the second flute from the store to have both ready whenever Cosmog is available.
I think with the explorations I'll be going for Darkrai and Mew.

I didn't get a shiny in time, so I had to buy both flutes. Fortunately, they're cheap and I had more than enough points.

I somehow didn't post at all in last month's thread... I guess I just didn't feel like it; also my pc died a couple weeks ago and, while I'm now using my parents laptop as a replacement, that didn't help my mood

(On the bright side, I can now play Touken Ranbu without lag. Ha.)

I bought both flutes and will eventually continue trying for my alolan grimer. Right now concentrating on hawlucha back from September's shiny hunt.

I am going for jirachi and mew two explorations this month. I am definately going to try for xerneas and then maybe keep my party open for the other ones in case I don't get xerneas

Hatched a sh. Alolan Grimer last minute yesterday 😂😂😂😂 so relieved my cute bb girl hatched. I love Grimer so much so I'd be bummed if I failed esp because I don't wanna buy two flutes lol

And then I hatched a sh. Alolan Vulpix later on. OK why couldn't I have had that back when I first started the swsh. Making me sweat for my right to Nebby.

Not sure if I can handle an exploration, maybe one, I don't know for what. Probably go for the easiest one whatever that one is 😒

Definitely try to go for the Mystery this month but knowing me I'll forget aGAIN.

I'll also probably forget to post in this chat in two weeks as it happens every month @_@

I am in no way surprised that, half of the year having passed, it is half way through the year. June is a regular occurrence, after all. I'm just happy it's summer

Yep, I started playing in January after I found out about Sengo Muramasa... didn't get him the first time, but when they re-released him I got him on the first day of the event

As for the anime, I binge watched Hanamaru in early March, and I'm really looking forward to Katsugeki. Kane-san looks so good in ufotable's artstyle hnnnnng

I was happily surprised with how many prize points I got from the SWSH -- time for a shopping spree!

Hopefully this month I'll be able to work on some of the old shiny hunts clogging up my shine recorder (some of which I've put off for YEARS lol). As far as explorations go, I'll probably go for Deep Desires and and Deep in the Laboratory -- if I can get past this particular step in my current exploration...

Crossing my fingers for either Tapu Koko or the intriguing ~mystery egg~! I always seem to forget to leave a slot open though, so hopefully this month goes better than the others haha

I don't usually do the monthly explorations unless it is something I am missing for my dex. Will try for tomorrow's and the last egg distribution and see how it goes. I did fail to et a shiny for the SWSH, so I went ahead and bought one of each flutes right away. Well, one more shiny hunt to join the list of pending ones.

What if Cosmog was another event banner (not sure what they are technically called) Pokemon, like Hoopa, but instead the egg came from a bag.

I got a Moon Flute, so I went ahead and purchased a Sun Flute from the Prize Shop. Now, I won't be missing out on either legend. So glad that this SWSH was good to me.

I'm still working on Oricorio (almost 1000 eggs!) as well as a bunch of other non-SWSH stuff in my Shine Recorder. Ugh. I wanna clear it out already. Usually I start up a new hunt once I finish one, but sometimes, I like to completely clear out the entire Recorder and start a bunch of new hunts. Does anyone else do that, too?

@ Running: Idaknow. Banner Cosmog would be good for me. I've found at least eight Banner Hoopa. {Kept one and released the others.} And seven have been picked up. So, I would guess that those seven released are the only ones I HAVE released, since it's Hoopa, and would likely have been grabbed from the Shelter, but ...

Anyways, did Darkrai first due to less tasks, including one I can take advantage of mobile walker with (possibly). But 3k interactions at the start is really hammering me down these weeknights. Hopefully tomorrow will be a massive help!

Welp.. I'll Be Trying to Get Tapu Koko,Xerneas,Terrakion and That Mystery Egg Which I already Know.. It's been a long Haitus for me but just got Back intime for the May SWSH and Happily got 2/3 Shinies.. Lucked out on A. Grimer

And Huzzah I got the Moon FLute which is the same as the Game I got! but also Bought the Sun Flute///

Oh man, Cosmog's here? Was the existing egg Cypress'd, or did it come from the lab? I wonder if it's going to be one of the site event pokemon, like Hoopa.

It's only a guess, but judging from the 'Obtained from' in the egg's description, it looks like it comes from the same method as Hoopa/Manaphy/Missingno. So I'd keep a slot open, just in case.

Edit: I was about to complain about how hard it is to get Corruption Orbs and why can't there be an exploration that has one as the reward, when I realized that there is one and I just forgot about it.

Derp.

I do miss the days when there would always be like sixty of them in the Backroom, though. Those were nice.

Heh, I understand that. I think, if I ever got chosen for the raffle, I'd pick Primal Dialga - unless I had the ability to pick some legend I don't have, which is a slim list. (Right now, I think that's Xerneas, Cosmog, and Tapu Fini. Normal Arceus doesn't count, for obvious reasons.) It's not hard to obtain, true, but this hunt has gone on forever. And I've hatched less than half as many Primal Dialgas as you have Fossil Archens, so that's a double ouch.

Come to think of it, I don't think we have, either. I haven't always been active, granted, but I don't recall it happening.

I'm keeping my party open for the distribution today, so maybe I'll get lucky enough to get a Cosmog. If I don't get the Tapu Koko I'm going to lock my party until the last day. I wish there were other options for the Tapu's but I'll be patient(or as patient as I can be).

Welp the Cosmog I saw is from the Shelter which was Grabbed by Vilawolf .. Apparently it was Given by Zerxer/

Please let not Cosmog be the same as Hoopa since the only thing that Popped for me from this way is always Korechu or the Chest...Still didnt get the Oldman and Hoopa Event..

I got my second Korechu header event of the day, I wish it was Cosmog instead, assuming its a header event. I can't wait for someone to get one and post how they got it. That empty Solgaleo dex entry is begging to be filled.

I'm definitely going with Solgaleo first because I like it a whole lot more than Lunala. It's why I made Pokemon Sun my main Pokemon game.

Good to know that it's a header event, now I just need to get one. I'll keep my party open for now and I'll lock myself with random Pokemon later. I'll need to keep it full until the last Pokemon for the distribution.

T-minus 11 more days until I graduate. This is really, really weird to think about.

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days has been most of what I've been doing. My friend hooked me on the series and bought me a copy of this, so it's all I've been playing aside from Overwatch as per usual.

Going to need all four family members eventually (which might take a while), but I'm going for Lunala first. The moon motif is just so pretty. Of course, the youngest one will be named Nebby (because what else?)

Now all I have to do is wait. And wait...and wait...and clog my party until the Tapu Fini distribution. I hope I get lucky again...

In real-life news: My guy friend, who I've been hanging out with a lot lately, went with me to a graduation party and then invited me to go to dinner with his family. It was wonderful. They're loud, fun, and friendly and they tease each other a lot, and they always made me feel welcome.

We went for a walk around town and into a bookstore, and when it was just us, alone...

...he asked me...if I wanted to be his girlfriend...?

Egg ones don't appear if you have a full party, but item ones do, so you'd need a slot free in your party to be able to see it! It won't leave if you fill your party too, so there's no worry there! (The only time it'll go is if a new header event occurs or if you say no to it)

I managed to get a shiny Alolan Sandshrew and Alolan Grimer during the SWSH. Hatched about 400 Alolan Vulpix eggs but didn't get that one in time. Still satisfied. I think I'll go for Mewtwo and Darkrai during this month's explorations.
As to Cosmog and header events, I haven't seen one since I came back to GPX+ besides Korechu. I remember before I left you only got one chance to click the Missingno./Manaphy trigger and if you clicked on something else it disappeared; are Hoopa (and presumably Cosmog) the same, or are they like Korechu where they stay for a while?
Also, how do header events work with the Berry Feeder? Do they just not have a chance to spawn since there's no header information, or will they appear despite none of the other header information appearing?

Work closes today for quite a few hours. Going to be doing the tours today. Azriel gets to see the robots at momma's work today

Hatched a pichu and a gligar in pokemon go yesterday. I think I'll try heading to a different area today to see what I can find. It's mostly the same stuff over here although I really need more magikarp to show up.

With this information of eggs not appearing when your party is full.... Do header things happen on mobile?? I'm usually in mobile gpx and usually having a full party so now I'm paranoid I doubt it tbh since mobile features are a bit lacking ( not like I mind tbh I don't think I'd have much time for battling anyway ha ha )

Might just have to bite the bullet and sit around bored on the computer if I want my nebby cries

I'll probably go with lunala first if I do get one. I got the moon flute from the event ( even tho I bought a sun one ) and prefer bats to lions tbh.

What's weird is that I'd probably buy Pokemon ssun before moon because I prefer sun lycanroc lmaoo

...I don't think this is the first time I noticed this, but is there a reason that the Tapu eggs don't glow while hatching like other legendaries? I mean, some legendaries have different sequences, but the Tapus seem to hatch like normal eggs.

I use both mobile and pc-primarily use mobile for mobile walker (doesn't work on computer for some reason), and when at work (45 minutes=hatching eggs and jumping from level 1 to 48). Hoping I can get three Cosmog (one for each evo and one to stay). Will name them after all 3 in-game names I've used (and yes, one of them is Nebby.)

You can try accessing the site in desktop mode on your phone. It acts pretty much like if you are on a PC, except for the berry feeder, as it won't work on mobile devices. I've gotten a few headers this way. I'd think this might be a better way to go about Cosmog than potentially hurting yourself going up the stairs.

I'm 98% sure they are clickable. I remember dismissing Pranksters and Shady Salesmen this way.

Just tried something with a friend; seems like the items you can't click on in mobile are coded differently than the rest of the clickable items. Could be wrong, but when you hover over honey in the shelter and sky gifts the cursor stays the same while summoning items in the lab and in the bag change into a hand as with all other clickable things on the site.

Just keep a party slot open and you have a chance to get an egg from the distribution! The distribution occurs at 4pm server time, and if you look at the second post of this thread, you can see what pokemon are being given out on what days !

As Synx mentioned, I've now removed this limitation. Header events (for getting a special egg) now appear with a full party. Just make sure you don't click on it while your party is full or you may lose it.


They won't appear at all while using the Berry Feeder.


You can access the full desktop site on your mobile device by either using the Share icon in the browser and tapping the "Request Desktop Site" option, or by going directly to https://gpx.plus/mob/1 to tell the site you want to use the non-mobile version.


Header events, such as Sky Gift, should work when using the normal/desktop site through a mobile device. You may have to tap it twice because the way mobile browsers tend to work is tapping them once when there's a hover event (such as a tooltip) will just trigger the hover event. A second tap is necessary to trigger the click event.


I was going to mention I updated the vouchers but it seems y'all figured it out already! The Legend Voucher Plus that's restricted to summonables has also been updated to include Cosmog since it's a header event and that voucher already includes Manaphy and Hoopa.


Some of you may have noticed I also cleaned up the timeline text on the right side of Pokémon info pages, specifically the "Obtained" and "Egg laid" information for eggs obtained through events. Eggs obtained before yesterday won't have the updated information, but the timeline might still appear better cleaned up.


Off to see Wonder Woman soon. I'm excited because of all the very positive things I've heard about it so far.

I've had a Legendary voucher lying around FOREVER and I just haven't gotten to using it because I've been so busy with my Arceus hunting.

I've got enough Prize Points to buy more vouchers, too. I just haven't been doing it. Arceus Hunting. Yeah, it can be distracting. And then there's the giveaway - not that I'm not buried in the 400 clicks for my Dedenne.

So yeah, we could use a few new explorations for those Alohan eggs - but then I'd have used my voucher over nothing..

I can buy a voucher..... but is anything new on it besides Cosmog? Like is Fini on it? Just in case I don't get her on the 6th.
I'll wait until I get a Cosmog header event before buying one for Lunala. I don't want to jinx it appearing by buying one first.... though my ranking sure took a hit due to not owning Cosmog/Cosmoem and the lot. But rank doesn't really bother me outside of GTA Online lol

I got myself a Fossil Archen today, so no chance for Mystery on the last day. But then again, I intentionally left my Party open for a chance to get anything. Maybe this one will be shiny to match my normal Archen? {Well, Archeops now, since I evolved it.} Yeah. Right. Like THAT'S going to happen.

Well of course Cosmog and Tapu Lele are on the voucher, I used the one I had a while back . I don't have enough Prize Points to buy a voucher either, guess I'll wait until Cosmog shows up as a header event. (Got ANOTHER Korechu, that's the 3rd in 24 hours.)

Work was aggravating today, I had 4 people want balloon orders for 12 when the store doesn't even OPEN until 12. I had people in the parking lot for 15+ minutes waiting for the doors to open. To make matters worse, the people who WANTED balloons for 12 didn't even show up until nearly 1pm . I'm so glad that I'm off tomorrow.

I finished up on my Minior evolutions this morning. That carves another seven pokemon off my list quite speedily. I can get to thinking about other things - like the Arceus Eggs.

And I'm still prepping to use up my tickets and summoning items, but I don't want to do them during an Arceus Exploration.

It's going to be 2-3 more months before Lele can be distributed again(if someone chooses it), Cosmog is a header event so you might be able to get that sooner.
Just depends on what you prefer I guess.

Well I got my 5th Korechu egg in 2 days. I really do not need any more Korechu, I already have two shiny ones. I don't know if it is the most common header event to get or what, but this is nuts. I haven't had this much luck with Korechu eggs since it first released. I just want to get the header for Cosmog once, I just want my Solgaleo .

So, I've completed all the achievements and the Arceus explorations. I have 37 trinkets left to go before completing that as well. Trying to get all the accessories I still don't have - which is only 8 left.

After this, all I'll have left to do is shiny hunt and finish off the alola dex as they get released of course.

HMMM kinda running outta stuff to do xD I keep hoping more achievements might get released.

In other news! I've been watching a lot of movies lately. Recently watched The Black Cauldron for the first time - ehhh, wasn't very good in my opinion. Which I know it's all part of the 'dark age' but most of those movies during that timeframe I ended up really enjoying.

Also watched Cars 2, which was surprisingly better then I was expecting. Kinda got me hyped for Cars 3 xDDD And Madgascar 3 too was pretty cute (I had a lot of sequels to catch up on aha)

Still on my list to watch is the Ice Age and Shrek sequels.

I sold five or six of the minior items before they got released, so need to get a few XD Sadly no eggs from raffle yet, so I'll lock my party today and hope for tomorrow's. I've been catching up to those "kid's" movies sequels as well. Not really impressed by Ice Age ones, but the Planes movies were better than expected.

I saw the Black Cauldron ages ago and it was...interesting, to say the least. I'd like to see it again with fresh eyes and a different mind set.

I watched Captain Underpants in theaters yesterday.

It was absolutely incredible. Felt like being a kid again. I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard, either. Also, the animation is top notch. One of Dreamworks' best movies in years.

I can't wait for the Pokemon Direct, but please please please please dear Arceus please don't let them say that D/P remakes are for Switch only. Please?

I honestly, truly, don't believe this short direct will be something Switch related. With so little currently on the Switch I think they would save those big sorts of reveals for E3, which is next week. I mean I could be wrong, but it just. It really feels weird they would do such a big announcement so close to E3.

That said PLEASE DPPt ON THE 3DS. It's so expensive to get those games used, if I'm gonna pay 30+ bucks for a DS game, I'd rather just buy a 3DS version, that would be on the SuMo engine (even if it would play like crap on my 2DS).

I had to make an edit to say. The first header event I got, since it was changed that you can get them with a full party. Was the Old Man. The Old. Freaking. Man. I could scream. I mean. Whenever they announce a Pokemon centric Direct, I'm always hoping for a new "Shadow Pokemon" game. I know it's just wistful thinking though.
The Pokemon Company hasn't request Genius Sonority to develop a console game since 2006. They're doing quite well in the mobile market with Pokemon Shuffle and Denpa Men RPG Free, so it's unlikely it'll happen...

I've noticed that too -- I always come across Korechu eggs! To me, it seems that chests are becoming much less common than they used to be. I spotted a black chest on my header the other day and almost forgot they existed.

I didn't get the Tapu Koko egg I'd hoped for on Friday, but I'm crossing my fingers for tomorrow's egg distribution!

Another Korechu to add to my collection, why couldn't I get this luck with my Zergoose shiny hunt XD. They've bred the 8th shiny Zangoose a few days ago. I switched them back from my Jangmo-o pair now that they are readily available in the Shelter. I'm going to hope they give me a shiny Zergoose soon, or I'll have a few choice words for it.

I'm not getting TOO excited about the Direct tomorrow, no need to hype myself up. I just don't see hyping myself up for disappointment. I wouldn't mind if Sinnoh remakes are announced, as they were one of my favorite gens, but a continuation of Sun/Moon I wouldn't mind either. We'll wait and see what they announce tomorrow, I'll actually be able to catch it before work.

I'd love GSC on the VC. Right now, those are the ONLY main games that can't get Pokemon into Sun/Moon via transferring.

I really hope Eclipse, or DP remakes are announced though..... for the 3DS. No Switch exclutivity..... I don't wanna have to pay money to be able to trade Pokemon or grab events, that is stupid. I'm not paying for that nintendo membership

I feel like if we get a second Sun/Moon game it would be on the Switch, since it would likely have A LOT of new content. Where as a Sinnoh remake would be on the 3DS because it would easily reuse the Sun/Moon engine and is an existing story. My logic might not make sense, it does in my head lol.

Also re: a Switch Pokemon game, it's gonna suck with the subscription service but $20USD/yr is SUPER reasonable (compared to what Sony/Microsoft charge). Just, unfortunately servers cost a lot of money and I can see why companies are doing this. Games get more exposure, more people wanna play, servers crash. And you need money to get better ones and upkeep them.

Okay, that's fine - but they need to actually start developing games with server multiplayer, not peer-to-peer multiplayer. That is, they need to start actually using servers.
Someone mentioned the that there was a Stars leak - I believe that's referring to the Eurogamer leak? It's very old, but it did leak the Switch and got a lot of info on that correct, so it's at least worth considering.

Servers do and don't cost a lot. Initial payment cover of hardware, setup, creating the software- yes but with subs that pays off fast and after that, all that's left is maintenance and pure profit to spend on other projects.

@Cyclone: That would cost a lot of money since Nintendo would have to a) look at hardware to compete with Sony/MS b) redo the way they're doing the software c) invest in the types of servers that MMOs/MS/Sony/ect uses. d) may actually be aiming for what you're wanting- considering the profit from subscription can and may cover that in the next couple years.

I didn't watch the Nintendo Direct, but from what I know about it, it seems... decently exciting.

My awesome lady is coming to visit me today, and obviously, I'm excited over that. Looking forward to nearly 10 days of fun with her. <3 I just need to get some last-minute stuff done around here (including an oil change for the car to get it ready for a little road trip we're taking), and then we'll be good to go.

Right now, I just saw a summoning item on my inventory that I really don't know where I got it... maybe on the underground? I really don't know, and I don't know which pokemon it summons, the description doesn't really help me... %D

Are people hyped about the new season of Doctor Who? Bill seems to be a nice character, more sympathic than Clara to be honest... I really didn't like this Mary Sue. x)

Oh yeah quick question: I don't remember how to use a repel, do I have to summon my egg first and then use the repel? It's been like 5 years I didn't use one so I'm a bit rusty %)

Egg is pretty, though the description weirds me out. It's an egg. How can you tell that it's judging you, as opposed to just drooling out water at random intervals? (And where does the water come from?)

I miss the days of simpler egg descriptions. Eggs are eggs, they don't need an excess of personality.

Well no luck for me this month, like I suspected. I'm not overly bothered by it because I knew I'd have a slim chance to get an egg with my party closed all week. Congrats to everyone who got Tapu Fini. I just wish I was one of them *shrugs*. If only there was another way to get prize points other than Poke Hunts, Scavenger Hunts and SWSH. I need to get another 474 Prize Points to get enough vouchers for the Tapus and Cosmog.

I'm so excited for Gold and Silver to come out on the virtual console in September. I just wish they released Crystal alongside it, as it was the best game out of the set. I'm just happy that I can finally play the game on a console over other methods.

Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon look pretty sweet too. If Solgaleo didn't look like a Zoid before it sure as heck does now. I'm not 100% sure which game I'll get, I'll probably still go with Ultra Sun just because of Solgaleo.

Heh. The idea of having excess prize points is a strange and alien thing.

I also wish there were more options for prize points. I could do Diamond Division, but it's just too much for too little return. I'd need to win ten times to earn enough prize points to get a summoning item; assuming 50/50 win loss ratio, that's five million points. I only have around three million, give or take. If you wanted to get a legend voucher plus... that's about fifty million.

Dedenne's almost done! Eesh, this thing's been in my party for a solid week now.

They'll probably release Pokemon Crystal on the Virtual Console eventually. I'll still be buying Silver just so I can replay the old games again. I sold my Gold/Silver/Crystal games after my Crystal save corrupted(I lost my first shiny ever, a Poliwag, as well as a shiny Suicune ). Pokemon Crystal is definitely the best of the set, Suicune is one of my favorite legendaries and having it as the 'mascot' was great.

Now that the distribution is done, I can finally start the Mew exploration. This little fella needs some Sweet Pecha berries:

This threw me off tonight. I summoned an egg, found the species I had summoned, and looked at the egg's page, where it said, "Egg summoned." Since it didn't have my name beside it, I thought I had inadvertently stolen someone else's summon, as that is how it used to be with your personal summons giving your name and Legends that you didn't summon appearing as "Egg summoned." So, I went back to the Lab and refreshed for another couple of minutes. No sign of the summon, so I went BACK to the egg's page and saw it had been summoned a minute before I found it. After that, I checked my Stat page and saw that my Summoned stat, the Summoned Successfully stat, and the Summoned Unsuccessfully stat all matched.

tl:dr - I got my own Summon, but thought I hadn't because of a lack of name.

I was very surprised that I got Fini, I wasn't expecting to get an egg at all based on my previous luck! I'm keeping my eyes peeled for a Cosmog egg too, but it seems like the header is giving me everything but a Cosmog. I'm not complaining though, finding a chest is always a nice surprise.

Hopefully I'll be able to crank out some explorations this month. Working on That Burning Desire!! right now -- If you could help me by feeding this guy an Aspear berry, I would really appreciate the help!

I'm holding out hope that they do release it eventually. They did make a point to say "revised graphics" or something to that effect with G/S, so maybe the animated sprites makes that harder?? That said, I'm gonna buy both versions, any interest I can show them I have for old games on the VC I will give them!

...I too lost my Crystal file to a battery death. Had my first event on that. A Shiny Blastoise (...I think it was already a Blastoise, been many years) that I got from the Pokemon Center in NYC, when it was still a Pokemon Center!

Also I need a little advice:
I was struck a few days ago that I want to like recollect the shinies I have collected, kinda start a fresh page with raising hatched shinies and other pokemon the way I want to now (like a way to motivate myself back into hunting and hatching) because im absolutely in love with the community here. I just have put a lot of time and effort into my old shinies and I don't want to release them. Anyone have any advice?

This wouldn't work for ALL of the generations, but maybe keep them (at least some) and use different sprites? Like say for a Charizard either have the new or the old one have an older sprite compared to the other one? That way they are very much a different Pokemon, with its own personality? I couldn't even fathom the thought of dumping any of my shinies intentionally, unless it's a 100% duplicate I can't do anything with (like the multiple Ralts I got looking for a male), and even then I use the exchanges as a way to get rid of them.

I wanna like restart my collecting and like collect shinies i only want to collect, not because they're needed for the living dex (i tried to collect) but to have enjoyment, and I want it to seem like I never had any of the shinies I do now yet it would break my heart releasing the, you catch me?

Yeah, I can see the logic behind that. I have a few like that. Example, I got a shiny Eevee that was female, that I leveled in my party and love her. But then Gen 6 stuff came out, and I toyed with evolving her into a Sylveon.. and did so. But I felt empty doing it because she was already level 100.

Unfortunately, I can't offer another suggestion . Hopefully someone else can offer something. You can know in releasing them, if you chose to, there would likely be new users that would cherish them as though they hatched and leveled them on their own at least? It's certainly a situation that stinks, because I have been there before. Though it was just the though of releasing some random stuff just to have more room for shinies/legendaries.

That's a tough call honestly. I'd personally hate to let anything go because of the hard work. Regardless if leveled with the walker or not. I personally collect shinies for personal reasons- either cause I really like them or I weirdly associate it with a certain memory of sorts. On the other hand totally know what you mean by wanting shinies that matter to you.

Yah, I really would hate to let them go. It's because a good portion of my shinies are like safari grabs or just plain random and like they're shiny so of course I would keep them but I rather like get shinies I actually want yanno? It's because over the past few years I've had the goal of a living shiny dex and like... ugh its so contradicting. And I feel I'd hate to release tons because there goes progress but at the same time, i don't know what to do and what I would do. It's crazy lol.

Seriously. Though, admittedly in my case. I am really bad at saving. I go "Oh I don't wanna wait an hour to hatch this" and buy a few Flame Orbs. Or I buy a few Sweet Honey because I don't wanna look for stuff in the shelter (also why I don't have Pass Orbs, all of those went to Hunt Power...). I really need to save up to get the legendaries I'm missing ;o;/

For now though, I work on getting a Ditto egg for this five year hunt I've been on. I'm super bad about doing this exploration each month. It's not even hard!!

You can find a random Mega Stone you have yet to obtain on the ground like regular items, on the first day of a Plus power (known as a 'Mega Plus day'). You can find more info on Plus power https://gpx.plus/plus.

With flame orbs I do lots of resource management to nullify their use for the most part unless it's a swsh where I'll do a random lab grab if nothing's in the shelter which is rare these days. As to honey, yes I totally get that haha. After so many honey +'s in a row I accidentally burned through my personal once the plus days went away.

I do wish the 'summoned by' info hadn't been removed, because I can't be sure if I got my own summon or if I took someone else's that happened to be summoned at the same minute as mine. It's not super important, though.

Got my first full-party header event! Old man, not a wormhole, but I'm still grateful for his appearance. And I'm almost done with this DOTW, just 20k more clicks.

Also, I saw someone with a shiny Cosmog! I couldn't tell it apart from a regular one, but wow, what awesome luck.

I only use Sweet Honey if I'm having trouble finding my shiny hunt and I have 5-6 open slots. The reason I never have Prize Points is because I'm always buying Adamant Orbs. Sometimes I'll pick up a Corruption Orb if I'm really desperate (if I have excess summoning items and can't buy them, usually), but I prefer to poach those from the backroom. I remember that way, way back, Wymsy had considered implementing summoning items as shop purchasables for 50k points each instead of the header event she eventually went with. At the time, 50k was a hefty amount, and the prize shop didn't exist... but heh, heck if that doesn't sound appealing right now.

EDIT - And also? Earlier today, I got myself one Shard closer to completing another Arceus Plate. Hatched a shiny Spearow, so I now have 4 Sky Shards. Which means I now have to get only 5 more shards to complete my Plate collection. Then, I can go after some more Arceus explorations, since I've only done one to date.

I'm really patient with looking for eggs, mostly cause I try and have hunts that the eggs stick out. I never bought honey with prize points, or really anything else apart from the prizes I don't get in swshs.
I might buy candy though, whenever I go back to novelty hunting. I'm just going to breed Jangmo-o a bit longer

I am out of ideas for who to hunt though. I'm hunting Chikorita STILL to have all shiny Johto starters, and I started one for Pom-Pom Oricorio cause that was the only one I didn't get in the SWSH
I really want to save slots for Rockruff and all the other Alola Pokemon not here though(All are Pokemon I love funnily enough)
But sometimes it is hard to find Chikorita and Pom-Pom, and I can't decide else who to hunt.

That's what I did to obtain those PC boxes
Was a lot easier doing scavenger hunts to score enough points than to sit around clicking all day.
I think I bought only one with actual points, mainly because I wanted to up my 'points spent in a day' stat

I left him alone waiting for him to change to some other header event (preferably the wormhole one so I can get another Nebby), though I wasn't really expecting that to happen because last time I tried that I got bored of waiting and just dismissed the event.

The monthly ones rotate, Ditto will still be there when you get around to it, if you look at it that way. Though, the Ditto one is a fairly fast exploration.

On the other hand, are the animated sprites (XYORASSM sprites) possibly being considered into GPX? I love those sprites dearly and to have them as a sprite option would be uber fantastic.

I can't stand campy, only caught a few episodes so that I would have some of the experience with none of the 'kill me now please' and my face is forever marred with wrinkles cause I'm cringing so hard irritation that goes with it. I had an ex that was a Star Trek nut- well, he's an ex for a reason. There's a guy a few hours away where I'm at who makes fiberglass bodies for the super fans of the 60's Batman series to turn their cars into the batmobile, ect.

Looking at the years I've been around Pokemon is a more mind boggling experience than the anniversary on this site honestly speaking. I'm old enough to have a kid that's about 10+ years old playing Pokemon...We're not even that far off from Pokemon being a quarter century old as a franchise just to put things in perspective.

I had this thought last year with the 20th anniversary with Pokemon... and I felt SO OLD. I remember getting the VHS (...feel old typing that out...) that was promoting it and then BEGGING my parents for both games. And my dad coming home with both, but only letting me have one, and I chose Red because the "dragon is cool." Man, I really did think I'd "get over" Pokemon, and here I am 28 years old where I freaked out over the Ultra Sun and Moon annoucement, then promptly screamed with excitement because of G/S on the VC.

Got back from the con yesterday evening
Had a really fun time and got some merch for a nice price.

On my way back I asked a local toy store when they're getting Switches back in store, they said next week Tuesday.
I hope that's countrywide but it probably is. Would be weird if they wouldn't all get stock the same day.

Since I got so much leftover from the con I may as well just buy a new game with it.

Really weird how old Pokemon is tho huh. Gaming is always so weird because there's so many advancements in my lifetime. When I was born maybe like Zelda II was the newest Zelda title and now look how crazy good the series looks now! And it isn't even like Nintendo is all "zomg super realistic graphics ermagherd." Unfortunately I feel like this also means that games aren't taken as seriously as they could but wow. Glad I have witnessed all that Pokemon has to offer so far.

It's not just gaming either- it's technology too haha. I'm part of the Cusper Generation (80's)- born and grew up partially in a time where we used regular landline telephones, rolodexes, word processors, pay phones, mail was still sent by post/parcel, using the card catalog to look for books, ect. We're living in an age of franchising like none other frankly speaking- we have games that pretty much span into 3 generations at this point and comic books have come to the mainstream. Revenge of the nerds indeed heh. It's great, but at the same time makes me feel ancient. Blegh.

Honestly I'd wait until Production 1.5 or 2 is produced from personal experience and having talked to techs a ton when I was there for the holiday work years ago. Production 1 tends to have issues with hardware/software compatibility since it's new and not all the kinks have been worked out. It'll work of course, but you could get a good batch that'll last a lifetime or you could get a real dud. Production Run 2 is more consistent overall. We're not that far away from Fall honestly- that's when most of the Production 1's will be phased out hardware wise and replaced by Production 1.5/2 runs...plus during Black Friday they run special editions with games for a cheap price. So if you wait now you could get a Production 1.5 console with a cool special edition case on it versus just a regular one.

Unfortunately, because of my current situation I'm likely not getting it any time soon ANYWAY (I am just an impatient little baby), but because I do not have a car I 100% have to rely on online deal/stock and those are next to impossible to come by during the Holiday season, especially Black Friday :/

I understand the need to wait a bit for first run stuff to be phased out, though I have personally never had an issue with first run consoles. not saying they're aren't issues with them, of course! Just I am apparently SUPER lucky with my console/handheld buying.

@Icicle: I've had pretty decent success with 1st runs myself with the exception of the Xbox360 which is why I don't have an Xbox. My original PS2 Fat is still alive and kicking though it's in my younger brother's possession. Happened to get the 1st half they produced which apparently was the best production run for that version and the 2nd half was utter shite.

Eesh, no car that sucks :/ I don't care much for them personally but they are useful. (I also hate beyond hate distracted drives on the road these days, 2 weeks ago witnessed a car accident in front of me cause some dumb lady was on her smart phone and smashed her SUV into a Jeep.) If you can find a ride, retail bundle honestly is the best bang for the buck from experience. @_@; Idk why online isn't as good, probably forced incentive to make people shop at said stores, but I guess it works. I'm a stingy scrooge with money. You'll see me haggle over grocery prices if it means I come out on top. Could always check in on the Black Friday leaks and Cyber Monday leaks that come out around August or so depending how well people get a hold just to have that knowledge on the backburner heh.

It honestly just sucks because we live in the middle nowhere (no sidewalks for the most part, no streetlights, 5 miles to the nearest grocery stores and no public transit. Uber/Lyft is lowest $10 to the nearest Walmart one way and about $30+ one way to any other worthwhile store). And all of our friends work pretty much all the time.

We had our launch 3DS until the New 3DS XL came out, only got rid of it because we needed cash at the time. And before moving in with my husband in 2008 I had all my launch consoles from when I was a kid (all Nintendo starting at SNES and my PS2).

Over here we don't have Black Friday nor do we get cool designs or anything
I'm not sure what batch we're on atm, I think on 5 because the EU Splatoon bundle is listed as batch 6.
(My country is really inconsistent with Switches... still. There's stock for 3 days then poof stock gone, 4-5 weeks of waiting till new stock gets brought in.)

When I opened my gpx tab I saw I had a message so immediately I panicked and thought I had gotten a warning for my post earlier about the E3 Nintendo thing but luckily it was something else instead!


I thought it would be my 7th this year so I must've miscounted somewhere down the line.

Really nice timing too because around the time the E3 announcement was made, I was busy ordering a Switch xD
Couldn't wait for the Splatoon bundle.

So yay nice thing to celebrate my anniv with.

Eesh, living in the sticks does suck. Been there before, no fun whatsoever. Don't miss it period. Then again where I'm at is pretty pathetic. It calls itself a city but public transportation is nonexistent and the infrastructure can't handle all the influx of people moving to this area due to lower cost of living. Could TLDR my grievances but will save it lol.

You'd still be production 1. The Switch only came out this spring. Newer hardware changes, even slight on the production line tends to kick in Fall/Winter just in time to get a new production cycle going for spring to maintain the current retail pricing. Black Friday in the States is an excuse to get rid of old stock and make profits on items that were way marked up anyhow in time for the new Spring lineup of electronics. (Going from as high as 40% mark up to a more reasonable 10-15%) The life cycle of hardware and electronics production is roughly about every 6 months or so, which is why we have our pricing schemes the way they are. Full retail at the start of the year and discounts at the end of the year. Production 2 of a console is where companies tend to see their most profits on their hardware cause pricing for materials have come down and manufacturing has become more steady.

I don't know how to feel though
it seems more like Fire Emblem at this point and I liked the original's character designs

New Metroids sound great, new Kirby and Yoshi look fantastic. Can't wait for Mario Odyssey and Superstar Saga remake.
Nintendo destroyed the competition this E3.

Saw the Nintendo Treehouse doing some of the Master Trials DLC for BotW and I just. I can't wait until the 30th. Give me some stuff to do on my second gameplay file (power up the Master Sword, maybe make it a bit easier to get the materials I need for finishing outfits). Though, I'll be so tempted to make a third profile on the Wii U to play on Master Mode...

Though for that I'd want to be able to get a capture card to stream that. Me playing just normal for BotW can get some amusing commentary from me, could only imagine me doing it on Master Mode. Considering I'd want to rush the castle first thing for some good items, or rush Lynels early for good weapons as well...

Got to get some pokemon go in today. The event is really helping the leveling up. Quite a few cyndaquils and houndours spawn by my apartment. Switched squirtle out to cyndaquil for my buddy so I can get a typholsion.

Making a vegan roast tonight from my favorite recipe book. It's not really working as it's supposed to. There's too much liquid in the recipe and it fell apart in the pot. Still going to eat it. It smells amazing.

I forgot the event is going on right now. My house is this like, dead zone for spawns. Stuff will spawn around my neighborhood, though a bit infrequently. But not anywhere near my physical house. And in Florida in all this stormy weather we've been having, plus the heat.. ain't going out to look for stuff. Even the like mile/mile and a half round trip to the Pokestops up the road isn't worth it...
