I enjoy pokemon RPs as much as the next person, but there are times when you have a story/idea that you can not put to pokemon. This is one of them.

An old healer sat in front of a cottage's fireplace. Behind her sat a young boy. The crone's eyes gazed into the flames as if lost. "It used to be a wonderful world, filled with trees and the songs of birds. It is all the the past now. How could we have been so blind?" Her voice was full of sorrow.

Sixty years ago the world of Avermyth was blossoming. Humans had become great users of magicks, transforming and controlling the aspects of their home to become an Eden paradise for both them and other creatures. Absorbed in their power, man saw the Gods they had once worshiped as unnecessary. They waged war.

It is unknown of what truly happened to the Gods, only that they had vanished from the realm of Avermyth; leaving the world to the humans. However, it was quickly made obvious that the magicks man held great pride in had disappeared. Realizing their folly, the people of Avermyth prayed and begged for the Gods to return. But they never did....

Now the once green land, lacking the protection and blessings of both the Gods and the greater magicks, began to die. Given freedom, the world could not control its storms and earthquakes. Droughts and floods happened at random.

The world is now a desert, save for few places that have either not died off yet or hold a special item. Perhaps it was a last blessing from the Gods, but rainbow crystals have been found to bring life back to this world. They have come to be known as Basilisk EyEs, based on the legend that a basilisk can turn items and living beings into stone, but also turn stone into items or the living.

EyEs are devided up by size. Medium EyEs can support a wide area, allowing nature to occur normally and at a natural rate; side-effects may occur to those closest to it. Small EyEs do not give off a lot of energy and can be carried around on a daily basis, but they have become an item greatly sought after by the rich. Small EyEs can heal wounds or cure illnesses a healer could not, but it takes a lot of energy out of the user. Small EyEs also can only support a little land, a mansion often holding two to three to keep it safe.

Large EyEs are, naturally, the strongest. They can support the same amount of land, if not a little more, as a medium EyE; however, any race that could use magick in the past, other than humans, is able to under the Large EyE's protection. Unicorns can heal wounds, purify water, and cure poisons. Fairies can aid nature. Some trees may even hold a dryad. But with all this power comes the greatest risk. Those who come too close to a large EyE often mutate, even die. Still, to many it is worth the risk.

EyE... it means blessing... and life.

Okay now! Here's the deal. Humans were the most common race, but not the only race. However, weird things have been happening to animals who get close to a Basilisk EyE, so you can also be an animal. Nothing too exotic, but it can be a mixed breed like a bird and fox or something. I am allowing 2-3 "special" people, but what that means will be PMed to them if I confirm. If you ask me to be "special" but do not reply to how you will be special...then I choose. The surprises will happen after awhile in game and will be based on how the person plays >3....Also another 2-3 can be "very special", but to do so would cause me to be a lot stricter on you.

Skill/talent means "what can your character do?" This includes flying(no non-winged fliers please ^.^), stealth, swordsmanship, etc.

This is fantasy with a bit of current things, like some school classes. Nothing that involves a lot of technology, please.
Note again: Only three or so players can be special. Later in game I may allow others to become special. What special means is a secret only to those who I PM back after confirming until it is revealed in game.... You can't choose to not be special one I've PMed you D<


Last note: I am strict as I try to be like a DM for a table RP. As such I do not like godmodding, using skills you have not trained in in game or do not have listed, or fastforwarding. The RP will go at its own pace, and not because you want to get something overwith and move on. In short, this is for serious roleplayers.

For the very special people, I'm not sure if I should do it by PM RPing( roleplaying through PMs) to keep it secret. Or do so on the RP thread and make the other players aware of it...I've had bad experiences with players trying to act on knowledge they knew, but the character did not know. I'm probably making this sound more complicated then most would like, but if you have any questions PM me ^.^

Maybe you could RP a clear version to the very special people, but post an extremely vague version in the actual rp. Unless that would take too much time...

Anyway, is there a limit on how many characters you may have? I only want the two, but, sorry if this is annoying, I won't post either until I know.

At most three character. That would give people the ability to have a normal, special, and very special characters, or just three normals.

Also in my normal, annoying fashion I will have ONE and at this time ONLY ONE character, but there will not be a submited form for them. But I might also take control of an NPC if needed....Like I said, I want to be a DM XD

Description: A jet black cat, with grassy green eyes. Sight as good as an eagles (ha) It's wings are small, but allow short times of movement, these wings however are pearl white.
Skill/talent: Can speak in the human tongue.

Back-story(optional): Was an easy going creature, lived an easy life. Catching prey when it was hungry, there was water in the stream that was clean. Then came the day and the days and weeks to follow that everything went wrong. Prey became less and thinner. The water that flowed was dark and murky. The world was dying. He went on a journey to see if there was anything better elsewhere. Along his travels he crossed what appeared to be a bright and colorful stone. Blinded he turned away and fell unconcious. When he awoke he was lying in a tree. Unsure if he climbed up here he looked around and saw that this was not where he originally was. He also felt off. He looked around for the cause and noticed wings nestled against his black fur. He attempted to open them up but they only detached from his body a little bit. 'It will take time' he thought to himself. He practiced everyday and was eventually able to fly for a good hundred meters before having to land. He could only fly every thirty minutes or so he found. Time was one thing hard also. Clouds were dark in the sky. He would try to glimpse the sun for time. Or he would just try counting in other ways.

Yeah...but at the rate people are signing up I might have to give it maybe three or so days and remake this RP... that way the first one is like on the third page or something...
