Lugia Hype

In Uprising, how you perform within your faction is very important, as it can bring benefits to RPers. This rank structure may be confusing, so I have prepared a rank structure list in order of superiority from lowest to highest rank. Team Magma and Aqua share the same structure, although the Rebellion utilizes a fairly different one. Note that each faction's highest rank has a name next to it, and is an unobtainable rank that is only occupied by NPCs. Also, the EXP amount next to ranks is how much total EXP you need in order to reach the rank.

Team Magma
Recruit - 0 EXP
Grunt - 150 EXP
Grunt II - 400 EXP
Elite - 600 EXP
Elite II - 850 EXP
Officer - 1250 EXP
High Commander Tyson

Team Aqua
Recruit - 0 EXP
Grunt - 150 EXP
Grunt II - 400 EXP
Elite - 600 EXP
Elite II - 850 EXP
Officer - 1250 EXP
High Commander Lucy

The Rebellion
Initiate - 0 EXP
Agent - 150 EXP
Agent II - 400 EXP
Veteran - 600 EXP
Veteran II - 850 EXP
Infiltration Expert - 1250 EXP
Elder Boscorelli

About Ranks:
When you first join a faction, you are automatically in the lowest caste (Either Recruit or Initiate, depending on chosen faction). After successfully completing missions, your status in your respective faction will improve. If you have completed several missions, you will be eligible for a promotion.

What Affects Promotion:
Completed Missions: This is the major factor that will determine whether or not you will be ready to advance in rank. The actual number of completed missions does not affect whether or not you may be promoted. Rather, the difficulty of the total amount of completed missions will affect promotion. For example, if you have completed numerous easy missions, you will be eligible for a rank promotion. Or, if you have completed a few difficult missions, you will be eligible for promotion. However, if you have accepted difficult missions and you have completed them with incredible ease, you will not improve your chances of promotion as they normally would be improved. Try to make things difficult for your character, not every mission will be a flawless victory. There are defeats, and there are obstacles. Be sure to take these things into account for when the RP is graded.

What Each Rank Does (Team Magma and Aqua):
Recruit: As a Recruit, you will perform very simplistic missions. You lack the access to secure locations that higher ranks might have. It is rare for Recruits to be assigned solo missions. Not many Recruits are in a squad, since it is difficult to teach numerous Recruits in a single squad. Expect to be outranked.

Grunt/Grunt II: As a Grunt, you shall become a useful asset to your team, or an effective solo operative. You have slightly improved access to secure locations, and you are able to receive improved equipment compared to Recruit gear. Solo missions may be offered at these ranks.

Elite/Elite II: As an Elite, you are incredibly useful alone or amongst a squad. The amount of Elites per squad is significantly lower compared to the amount of Grunts per squad, and is roughly equal to the amount of Recruits in each squad. Elites gain access to improved equipment and gain different uniforms from the standard-issue gear. Access to secure areas is gained.

Officer: Officers are responsible for commanding squads of operatives. When accepting difficult missions, Officers tend to select more advanced missions, as they are more skilled than traditional operatives. Only one Officer exists in each squad, although some squads may have two or more depending on the difficulty of the mission. Officers wear special uniforms and utilize Elite-level equipment. Officers also gain access to secure locations that basic Grunts, and even Elites may not have access to.

High Commander: The High Commanders lead operations within the city. Due to the complexity of the overall operation, they remain in contact with their superiors for advice. There is only one High Commander per faction, and this rank is not obtainable in a short period of time. The current High Commanders have been with their respective faction for years, and have served in countless missions. High Commanders have access to anywhere they please, and wear different uniforms compared to other ranks. Player characters cannot achieve this rank.

What Each Rank Does (The Rebellion):
Initiate: Initiates are the lowest rank within The Rebellion. Initiates are given simplistic missions, and due to the secrecy of The Rebellion, function in small groups at most. Initiates require assistance in some tasks due to inexperience, and are rarely assigned difficult undercover missions.

Agent/Agent II: Agents are the most basic of Rebel operatives. Agents tend to work alone, or in small groups. Agents are capable of taking missions that are slightly more difficult, and may require stealth or other tactics. Agents should avoid giving out real names unless conversing with other Rebel operatives.

Veteran/Veteran II: The more experienced Agents become Veterans after being granted a promotion. Once this rank is attained, a special badge decorated with the Rebellion's emblem is given. Veterans prefer working alone or at most, in pairs with trusted friends. These seasoned operatives perform difficult tasks, and know what they are doing out in the field.

Infiltration Expert: These Experts are very knowledgeable of Rebel practices, and normally plan out their own missions with great care. Experts tend to wear metal rings with the Rebellion emblem on them, as a symbol of skill. Infiltration Experts also volunteer to lead small groups of operatives in difficult missions.

Obtained Gear and Bonuses Upon Promotion:
These bonuses are obtained upon promotion, or in the case of the lowest ranks, entry into the group. For the basic and advanced equipment, you can come up with things that you want to obtain, so long as they match their category. Nightvision goggles are too advanced for the basic category, for example.
Magma:
Recruit: Recruit uniform, Team Magma ID Card, walkie-talkie.

Grunt: Grunt uniform, Lv 1 Access Card, basic equipment (Be creative with these, some examples are fingerless gloves for improved grip, short bungie cord to be used for ziplining via wrapping the cord around the rope you are going down)

Elite: Elite uniform, Lv 2 Access Card, advanced equipment (Examples are nightvision or infrared goggles, kneepads, steel-toed or lightweight boots, etc.)

Officer: Officer uniform, Lv 3 Access Card, Ability to command a currently-existing squad, or create one from scratch.
