According to this and some other sites, the Hobbit will be a trilogy.

At first I thought it was going to be a single movie, but then I heard about this.

Any thoughts about this or the movie itself?

I think it could work, but I fear that the movies will be padded out like hell.

I don't really know but I'd like to see Sauron when he's still 'human' *he's actually one of the Maiar*

My body...
is made out of swords.
Iron is my blood
and glass is my heart.

I have overcome countless battlefields undefeated.
Not once have I retreated,
Nor once have I been understood.
Always alone....
On the hill of swords...
intoxicated by victory...

Thus, this life has no meaning...
This body...surely was...
Made out of blades.

I heard it would be in two parts? Either way, Cumberbatch and Freeman are both fantastic actors.

I've heard the whole trilogy thing also. My brother looks things up about it randomly. Doesn't make it true necessarily. -shrugs-

I'm not sure if that's going to be a good thing. Though I hope so. I'm kind of worried about what they might 'add'.

A trilogy of the hobbit? it already has so little content. Maybe they'll add stuff from "The Silmarillon" although i wouldn't know how, 'cause I'm reading it and it's sooo complicated. Anyway i'm praying they don't screw up.

I believe it will be made into two movies:

The Hobbit: And Unexpected Journey to be released this year
&
The Hobbit: There And Back Again to be released 2013.

But I agree, I loved Freeman and Cumberbatch in Sherlock, and I know they will do a good job of The Hobbit, I loved LOTR!
