According to this and some other sites, the Hobbit will be a trilogy.
At first I thought it was going to be a single movie, but then I heard about this. Any thoughts about this or the movie itself? -------------------- ayy

I heard it would be in two parts? Either way, Cumberbatch and Freeman are both fantastic actors.

A trilogy of the hobbit? it already has so little content. Maybe they'll add stuff from "The Silmarillon" although i wouldn't know how, 'cause I'm reading it and it's sooo complicated. Anyway i'm praying they don't screw up.

But I agree, I loved Freeman and Cumberbatch in Sherlock, and I know they will do a good job of The Hobbit, I loved LOTR!
