Few of you were here for this old one but this was probably one of my favorite personal creations.

I loved the idea but it never saw light. I'm really in the mood for a Pokemon roleplay, even though most people I RPed with back in my Moderating days are gone now. So i figured I'd revive this one and see if anyone gains interest.

Now for the fun stuff.

You couldn't believe your eyes when that special letter came in the mail. Marked with the Trainer Mountain sigil, you knew it was special. Turns out that they were having a tournament, and YOU were invited! Obviously they saw something in you as a battler. Inside the envelope was your invitation letter, which also served as your ticket to both the island where the mountain was located and the ticket to the tournament; your cabin assignment and key for the cabin; and a schedule of events for the tournament.

Quickly you packed your things and headed out to the nearest shipyard. You gathered a team of your six best Pokemon. This wasn't the Gym Leader, or even the Pokemon League challenge. This was the best. You were part of the creme de la creme of the Pokemon world. And now was your chance to prove it.

The Trainer Mountain challenge consists of an initial tournament of the 50 trainers invited. Each trainer will be in a set number of battles to determine their skill. The best ten will be given a chance to climb Trainer Mountain and battle the Lords and each other. Only one person can battle the Trainer King, who is the leader of the Lords and considered the best trainer in the world.

The island itself is located between the waters of all four regions. It is generally a tropical island and is a popular vacation spot. It is a medium-sized island, with the mountain itself being on the eastern side of the island. The northern and western sides of the island are the ports, where boats from all four regions dock and let off passengers. The southern side of the island is the resort area, for vacationers. Most of these people are extremely wealthy. The trainers themselves who challenge the Trainer Mountain Challenge reside at the foot of the mountain. In this large city, there are three Pokemon Centers that are always busy, two Pokemon Marts, and five small stadiums where the pre-mountain tournament battles are held. These stadiums are capable of changing their environment within six hours, and each stadium always has a different battling environment. In the center of the city is where the trainers reside. They live in small, two-bedroom cabins that contain a kitchen, large sitting area, and a full bathroom. There are about 75 of these cabins, numbered beginning with 1000. Each trainer has received their cabin assignment and key before coming to the island.

The mountain itself is massive, standing at about 20,000 feet high. At the snowy peak resides powerful Ice Pokemon. Trainers who are lucky enough to climb the mountain will begin at the base and enter the cave there. They will climb the inside of the mountain, battling each other and the Lords of Trainer Mountain. The Lords appear in order from first to last, with the Trainer King at the top.

-All forum rules apply here.
-Proper spelling/grammar is a must. I recommend a word processor before posting.
-You're only allowed one character.
-Control of other characters is not allowed. The only exception is in conversation when two characters are talking. Remember it must adhere to that character's personality. Also, you may RP a character to another location if you are headed elsewhere.
-Profiles must be adhered to. Your quiet, reserved character isn't going to be chatting everyone up.
-No Pokemon will be caught. What you have is what you have. There's no wild Pokemon on the island or mountain.
-You are not the Jesus Christ of Pokemon. You will not OHKO every opponent and you will not win every battle. Your Pokemon will also not dodge everything that comes their way. They will get hurt, and they will faint.
-Also, this is not the Anime. Pikachu will not defeat Rhydon by Thunderbolting the horn, and it will not lose to Magikarp either.
-I request that all player-player battles are done via IRC/IM/PM so as not to clutter the topic up. If this is not possible that is fine.
-Only one of you needs to post a player-player battle if it's done via IRC/IM/PM.
-All posts must be at least five sentences long and have some structure to them. The only exception to this rule is during battles where you may only be able to post a few sentences in order to wait for the other trainer.
-The Lords of Trainer Mountain, as they are known, will not be battled until later in the roleplay, after the initial tournament. Nobody will be battling them until the mountain climb begins.
-You're a good trainer. You've probably beaten at least one Pokemon League and you've taken many Gym Leader challenges. So don't stumble on the island and win everything.
-There is a three-strike policy. If you break the rules of the roleplay three times, you will be banned from the roleplay and your character will no longer be involved.

There's a lot of rules but it's for the good of the RP. I only want people that know what they're doing here.

The roleplay will start when I feel we have enough people. I'm not sure how many people I want to enter, but I will close sign-ups when I feel there are enough people. I'm leaning towards ten right now so that we all can climb the mountain in the end. I may allow more. Just be warned, if you're not in the ten, you're probably done when the mountain saga begins. Also, I will determine the match-ups via Random Number Generator. Losing one match does not count you out (besides, the best ten are going in, so obviously I want ten people doing this thing).

I'd like to note that the Lords will have overall stronger Pokemon than RPers. They are not overpowered but their teams do not follow the leveling rules.

Name: Christopher Crestworth (nicknames include "Chris" and "Crest")
Age: 25

Appearance: Chris stands somewhat taller than most, at six feet and three inches tall. He is of athletic build and weighs in at 197 pounds. He has long arms and long fingers. He has short, jet-black hair that is always spiked with gel. He has cool green eyes and a nose reminiscent of a Roman leader (slightly crooked). As the Trainer King, Chris always looks to make sure people know who he is, and also he shows that he is sophisticated with a modern flair with his dress. His outfit he wears as Trainer King is a black suit jacket with a green dress shirt and loosened black tie. For pants he wears straight jeans with rich black shoes.
Personality: Despite his status, Chris is quite humble. He is someone who works for everything he has, and never stops working just because he's achieved his goals. He believes in the good in everyone and will work to make sure others do the right thing. In that sense he can be a bit self-righteous but many people see him as a role model not only for Pokemon training but also a way to live. He is smarter than most and is very rational and thinks things over thoroughly. Sometimes, however, he overthinks situations. He enjoys swimming with his Water Pokemon and practicing martial arts.

History: Chris comes from a middle-class family with no real definition. He was born the third of five children, three girls and two boys. In school, Chris was a good student and a decent sports player. Overall, he grew up as an "Average Joe". His parents had both trained Pokemon when they were younger but never managed to achieve much, a few gym badges at most. Chris' older sister, Alissa, won all eight badges in the Hoenn region and challenged the Pokemon League there but lost. His older brother Daniel took a different route and trained his Pokemon as a Coordinator. Chris, when he turned twelve, decided to follow in his sister's footsteps and be a Pokemon trainer. He set out to defeat the Johto Gym Challenge. His first Pokemon he captured was the elusive Abra, with only one Pokeball throw. This Abra quickly became his closest friend and number one companion. It took him only half a year to defeat the Gym Challenge in Johto, and then he traveled to Kanto to defeat that Gym Challenge in another six months. By age thirteen he had won two Gym Challenges and was taking on a Pokemon League challenge. Chris felt accomplished--he finally found something he excelled at. Many people had now taken notice of this "Average Joe" who was secretly a Pokemon prodigy. On his first try he came close to defeating the Kanto/Johto Pokemon League, losing in the final battle to Lance, the champion. Lance, however, saw the potential in Chris, and knew he would defeat him one day. Chris then traveled to Hoenn and won all of the badges. Once again, people had taken notice of Chris, and his fame slowly spread throughout the world. He traveled to the Pokemon League and defeated them with ease, winning his first Pokemon League Championship at age fifteen. By age sixteen he had defeated the Sinnoh gyms and Pokemon League and was one of the few two-time champions in the world. It was this time that his team became legendary, and young, aspiring trainers all set out to raise a team like Chris'. After becoming the champion of two Pokemon Leagues, Chris returned to his home region and challenged the Pokemon League again. In the last battle with his old rival Lance, Chris' Alakazam defeated Lance's Dragonite with a well-timed Psychic attack, securing his place in history as one of the select few to win all three Pokemon League championships. He was offered a tenure as the Kanto/Johto champion, which he spent three years as, during which nobody won the challenge. Realizing that people may not challenge the league anymore because the champion was considered unbeatable, Chris retired the position to Lance and traveled the world. By the age of twenty, he encountered a small but abandoned island in the waters between the four regions. Realizing his chance to make something good with his fame, Chris quickly scoped the island and found it perfect for his own league. He founded the Trainer Mountain Challenge, which allowed trainers to challenge those who were considered the "best". He sent agents out among the four regions to scout for potential challengers--usually people who had received great honors with their Pokemon. He only wanted the best of the best to be there, and every year he would send the now-famous manila envelopes with the Trainer Mountain sigil. His original Trainer Mountain team included the three champions and himself, but the conflicts soon arose between their league and the mountain, and so Chris recruited other champion trainers and began his league. Every year a new tournament was held to see if anyone could defeat the Lords--nobody has succeeded. Will this year be the year?

Pokemon Team: Chris is the best of the best. His team is, arguably, the team everyone wants to have in the Pokemon world. He has trained many Pokemon in his time, but these six are his strongest. The star is his Alakazam, which was his first Pokemon and won him his third Pokemon League championship.

Appearance: Jonathan is very tall and very muscular. He stands at six feet and eight inches tall and weighs in at around 280 pounds, all of which is muscle. His shoulders are very broad and he has large hands and feet. His light brown hair is short and marine-cut, and is always kept neat. He has very tanned skin, which contrasts the paleness of his blue eyes. Light brown hair covers his wide chest, arms, and legs. His personal clothing style reflects his muscles--wifebeaters and jeans are the norm for him, but when he is appearing as one of the Lords of Trainer Mountain, he "dresses up" in a polo shirt and jeans.
Personality: It is clear from one look at Jonathan that he attracts many female admirers. He plays to this often, and is seen as a womanizer to many. His personality is also defined by his seeming luck--he can achieve his goals without choosing the "correct" path to them. He lives without fear. He is a daredevil and does anything that can get his adrenaline pumping. Jonathan is short-tempered at times, however.

History: Jonathan grew up in the secluded but busy Lavaridge Town. His parents ran a spa over one of the town's many hot springs and Jonathan provided customer service to the guests. Every day he would swim in the springs with the guests, and that built his muscle. Eventually he lifted weights in addition to swimming to build the body he has now. By age sixteen Jonathan was only four inches from his current height and was the star of the local football and basketball teams. Pokemon wasn't part of his life for a while--he had been around them, guests usually brought their Pokemon with them, but he wasn't planning to be a Pokemon trainer. All of that changed in his senior year of high school when he began dating a young, fire-tempered girl named Flannery. She was a few years younger than him, and his massive size made him tower over her, but the pair were in love. Upon her graduation, she received a note from her grandfather telling her that he was planning to retire as a Gym Leader and he wanted her to take his place. Flannery, being a novice trainer, immediately set out on a journey to become worthy of her grandfather's gym. Jonathan decided at this time that he would wait for her, mostly because he was planning to marry her when she returned. A year later, Flannery returned with a new team of Fire Pokemon and a resolve to run her grandfather's gym--but she was different. Over the past year she and Jonathan kept in contact but she usually was busy with her Pokemon. Jonathan figured she was busy with her training and he would brush it off. When she returned, their relationship resumed, but when he proposed, she rejected it, finding her love to be Pokemon. Enraged, Jonathan left to journey around the world and be a Pokemon trainer. In a span of three years, he won the Gym Leader challenges of Kanto and Johto, and was almost complete with the Hoenn league. Seven badges in hand, he marched into Lavaridge Town to challenge his love. The battle was held on the top of Mt. Chimney with the whole town watching. It lasted well over two hours, and both competitors were down to their last Pokemon. Jonathan demanded Flannery why she left him, saying that he still loved her. She could not answer, except with a small tear streaming down her face. Jonathan allowed Flannery to win, and left the next day for parts unknown with a note to her saying he always loved her and will always love her, and that when she was ready, he would return. The next time he surfaced, he was twenty-seven and the fourth Lord of Trainer Mountain, having received an invitation to join the ranks of the Lords from Chris Crestworth, the Trainer King the year prior.

Pokemon Team: Jonathan has caught many Pokemon in his time, but these six have become his strongest. Their battle style reflects his life's credo to live with no fear. These Pokemon hit hard and can take hits.

Appearance: Morgana is an alluring young woman with flowing auburn-colored hair and mystifying dark brown eyes. On her lips sets bright red lipstick, which stands out in comparison to her fair skin. She stands at five feet six inches tall and weighs around 135 pounds. She has long and thin legs and her curves are very smooth and flowing. Her preferred clothing style involves the latest fashions, which usually involves a short-sleeved shirt, a pair of open-toed shoes, and a miniskirt. As a Lord, she wears semi-formal outfits, like cocktail dresses in bright colors to reflect her personality.
Personality: Morgana has always been the social butterfly. She's friendly and warm to everyone, and everybody knows everything about her. She is an open and honest person and is very likeable, even if she talks too much at times. Morgana is also ambitious to achieve the best for herself, and works overall to support herself, but she's also willing to help those in need. This ambition does not reflect narcissism. In fact, Morgana is generous with her time, and uses her fame to assist the less fortunate.

History: Morgana is a distant cousin of the Kanto/Johto Pokemon League champion, Lance. Her parents raised Pokemon in their day, and raised Morgana and her sister with compassion and love. At the age of ten Morgana began to train Pokemon. She found that she liked a lot of Pokemon and devoted her life to catching as many as she could. She had two Pokemon she stuck with throughout, a Squirtle and a Gastly. These two battled with her and helped her catch many Pokemon. After two years Morgana learned about the Gym Leader and Pokemon League challenges and set out to take them. Her first challenge was the Gym Leaders of Sinnoh. By age fourteen she defeated all of those Gym Leaders and challenged the Sinnoh Pokemon League, winning on her first try. At this point her team had evolved some, and her trusted Squirtle and Gastly were now a powerful combination of Blastoise and Gengar. Over the next six years she was an on/off battler who eventually won the rest of the Gym Badges in the remaining three regions. Her next step was challenging another Pokemon League. She narrowly defeated the Hoenn Pokemon League at age 21. After becoming the champion, she received a call from Christopher Crestworth, the Trainer King.
"I have a proposition for you..."
By the end of the week she packed her things, said farewell to her family, and boarded the ship to the island. Although she was the last of the current Lords to join, she proved powerful enough to take her position as the third Lord.

Pokemon Team: Morgana's team is a team that focuses on Special Attacks over Physical ones. She also favors status effects. Her two strongest Pokemon, Blastoise and Gengar, work well as a team and Morgana regularly prefers Double Battles, however, in the tournament she will battle one-on-one.

Appearance: Charlotte is held within a petite frame, standing at five feet and three inches and weighing in the early 120's. She has short blonde hair that is kept perfectly straight at all times. She has dark brown eyes and has an average skin tone that is usually darker come summertime. She has long and slender legs and arms that always appear to glow. She usually wears heels to make her appear a few inches taller. Charlotte's clothing is characterized by elegance and glamour. She frequently wears long, flowing gowns that follow the curves of her enchanting body. She is also quite busty.
Personality: Charlotte is a fabulous person, no doubt. The elegance her clothes exude reflects back on her equally elegant persona. Charlotte has perfect manners and posture, and is easily an example for all. She tends to look for others' approval over her own, which leads to her being insecure at times. This elegance and grace Charlotte uses rubs many the wrong way, and people see her as a narcissist. Her music background and prior fame tend to amplify this rumor, but Charlotte is not narcissistic. She is not the most humble of people, though. Her love is music and everything about it.

History: Charlotte was born to a family of musicians. Her father was the conductor for the Hoenn orchestra, which was composed of the best instrumentalists in the region. They traveled the world frequently, leaving Charlotte alone with her mother and three sisters most of Charlotte's childhood. Her mother was one of the most famous opera singers of her time, and her eldest sister was following in the same path. To put it bluntly, Charlotte and her family were very wealthy. Pokemon battling was out of the question. Everybody in the Marcelles family spent three hours a day on voice lessons, two hours practicing on the piano, and the rest of the day they would listen to music, write music, or see a performance involving music. Music was her life. Charlotte was trained as a mezzo-soprano with a very powerful belt, so powerful that she spent two years of her life (ages twenty and twenty-one) touring the world as Elphaba in the musical Wicked. Before this time, when she was ten, her mother suddenly became very depressed. Charlotte and her sisters learned that their father had been seeing another woman, his first chair violinist, and she had become pregnant. Charlotte's father left the family to be with his lover, and her mother hung herself the next year, leaving the four Marcelles girls on their own. Katie, the eldest, who was singing in the Hearthome City Opera, left to take care of the family and became a motherly figure to the young Charlotte. When she returned home, she gave Charlotte and her sisters a Pokemon she had obtained. Charlotte received a small Budew. Her teenage life was spent singing with her sisters in a four-part harmony group called Les Reines de Chanson, French for The Queens of Song (Charlotte and everyone in her family spoke fluent French, German, Italian, and English). At age eighteen, Charlotte took a sabbatical from music and began to catch Pokemon for companions. Her Budew which she received at age eleven had fully evolved into a beautiful and powerful Roserade. By the beginning of her tour in Wicked, Charlotte had caught three other Pokemon: a Caterpie (which quickly evolved into a Butterfree), a Staryu, and an Elekid. When she was twenty-two, she left the company to return home, only to discover her sisters had begun a world tour without her. Heartbroken, Charlotte began taking the Gym Leader Challenge, starting with her home region of Hoenn, easily earning the league's eight badges. She then set off to the region of Sinnoh and defeated the Gym Leader and Pokemon League Challenges in less than a year. By this time she had added two more Pokemon to her powerful team, a Vespiquen and a Pidgeot. With her six Pokemon she crushed the Johto and Kanto Gym Challenges and was on her way to defeat their Pokemon League. The day before the challenge arose, Charlotte received a call from home. Her sisters had been killed in a fire at the theatre they were performing in. Charlotte dropped out of the challenge and returned to Sootpolis, where she was faced with a three-year depression. At age twenty-six she sought therapy for her problem and beat her depression with a new resolve to succeed in her family's memory. Two years later, at twenty-eight, Charlotte was on vacation when she met Christopher Crestworth. He offered her an invitation to become one of the Lords of Trainer Mountain. Charlotte immediately accepted, knowing at that moment her goal has been fulfilled.

Pokemon Team: Charlotte's team is very well-balanced and each Pokemon has strengths that cover another team member's weaknesses.

Name: William Augusta

Appearance: William towers over the average person, standing at six and a half feet tall. He is quite muscular but is not a bodybuilder. His weight is average in proportion to his height, and he weighs around 240 pounds. His hair is of medium length and is light blonde, almost golden in the summer. He has dark emerald colored eyes, and he has light-colored skin. He also has a small bit of facial hair on his chin. He is not very hairy, and there are only light traces of hair on the rest of his body. His clothes are very simple; a graphic t-shirt and jeans will almost always suffice for William. He hates to dress up, and in formal attire wears a suit jacket with black pants and a dress shirt, no tie.
Personality: William likes everything simple. He wasn't the brightest child growing up, and always liked it the way it was easiest. He usually takes the easiest route to solving a problem, which usually is the most direct route. His diction is simple and he dislikes flowery language. William is a firm believer in the value of friendship, and is very open with everybody. He is also very open to trying new things, as long as they are easy to learn. He has a slew of hobbies and interests, but he loves to play sports, especially basketball and baseball, and he also enjoys playing cards, even though he usually doesn't win.

History: William was an only child, born to the curator of the Pewter City Museum and his wife, who was once a world-famous Coordinator. They lived in an apartment above the museum that was built for them, and had all of the modern facets of a home. William's father hoped that his son would, one day, run the museum; however, William showed little signs of academic progress by his first years in school. He could read and write, and do mathematics on the basic level, but his father was hoping for an academic genius. Frustrated, he cut himself off from the boy, delving himself deep in his work. William's mother, in the attempt to reconcile their relationship, gave William his first Pokemon: a young Mime Jr. that was bred from her Mr. Mime and her Jynx. She taught William the basics of Coordinating, and entered him and his Pokemon in an entry-level contest when he was eight. Although he lost by a narrow margin, William and his Mime Jr. had become close companions. When his father learned that William had lost the contest, he was furious. Even if it was a small margin, his father believed that his son was a dunce. For his eleventh birthday, William received another Pokemon, a Magby. The next day, his father threw the young William out of the house, claiming that he couldn't return until he proved that he was good at something. Despite the protests of his mother, William agreed to the journey. He started in his hometown, challenging the gym leader, Brock, who was also a frequent visitor to the museum. When Brock had learned of William's story, he offered to give the boy the badge so that he could show his father, but William refused and was determined to battle. He fought bravely but lost in his first actual battle. Brock agreed to help the boy and gave him much advice in battling. With his help, William became very well-suited at catching Pokemon. He spent a long year training with Brock, learning everything he knew, in order to one day defeat him. That day came when William was twelve, and he re-challenged the gym, this time easily defeating his friend. Badge in hand, William left his hometown for the first time and traveled across Kanto, challenging the rest of the region's gym leaders. He eventually defeated the seven other gyms and returned home to show his father, only to arrive to a burned-down museum. He learned from one of his neighbors that his father went insane and burned down the museum. His mother fled the city and was never seen again. His father was committed to an asylum and stayed there the rest of his life. When he learned this, William showed no emotion. His only goal was to continue what he had started. He hopped on the next ferry to the region of Hoenn and challenged its gyms, winning them with relative ease. His next goal was to defeat the Sinnoh challenge, and then hopefully enter a Pokemon League challenge. He defeated the Sinnoh challenge when he was sixteen, and later returned to Hoenn to challenge the Pokemon League. By nineteen he had won all four Gym Leader challenges, the Kanto/Johto Pokemon League, and the Hoenn Pokemon League. Instead of heading immediately for the Sinnoh Pokemon League, he spent three years just traveling the world, in the hopes of experiencing a new outlook on life. While traveling in the jungle, he experienced a deep spiritual change that led him to forsake the past events that had always pained him. He returned to Sinnoh for the Pokemon League challenge and narrowly defeated the champion, Cynthia. He became one of the world's only three-time champions. Just as he was about to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, William was approached by a young man with a small envelope. Opening the envelope, William realized his potential was endless, and that his father had been wrong. He was a winner. And now, he could prove it.

Pokemon Team: William's team is a well-timed mix of Physical and Special attacks, and his Pokemon are also excellent at status effects. His Mr. Mime leads the pack with a healthy mix of moves.

Name: Kazik Zaniewski
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Hometown: Hearthrome City, Sinnoh

Appearance: ((No trainer sprite, but a picture should work fine, right?))
Kazik stands at five foot nine with a thin frame. His hair is a rather bright shade of Butterscotch Blond, while his eyes are a deep blue. Kazik’s skin is rather pale, and will start to burn if he is out in the sun for too long.

For a reason, Kazik tries to fit in with the fashion sense of the time. Now, in winter, he wears a black turtle neck sweater. Over that is a light olive green jacket, also with a turtle neck collar. The sleeves go over his hands, thus, from the wrist to the end, the sleeves are silted. It has silver buttons, along with several straps. Two go across his stomach, almost always buckled, with another two to go around the waist area, but never buckled. Thought it ends just shy of the thighs, some could see that there was once more to it, for from there are several coat tails, starting from the left, then behind and then stopping at the right of the coat. On his hands is pair of fingerless black gloves, stopping at the wrists. These allow Kazik’s long, thin fingers to be out in the air, better to play instruments, like the flute, better.

The next piece of the outfit starts with a pair of black leather-like pants. Down the side of the sides of both pant legs are a silver floral-like pattern. Like the sleeves, about halfway between the knees and ankles, there is a slight in the pant legs. Unlike the sleeves, these have zippers on them, though mostly they are just left open. Around the waist, there is a black belt with a single silver buckle. For footwear, Kazik wears a pair of black combat boots. The ties are white, going up in a criss-cross pattern.

Mostly, one can see Kazik with a deep brown messenger bag. Other than a few healing items for his Pokemon, Kazik carries only a few other items. Those items include a sketchbook, several pencils and pens, a sharpener for the pencils, some sort of paper back novel and a simple gray cloth. Among these items, tucked away carefully, it a hard, black case, one with only one thing in it – a Flute. This case is small; being it only has the Flute and a few backup pieces. The Flute itself is made of a metal, colored as dark silver.

Personality:
Kazik, in short, is a timid, shy person. He isn’t one to talk much, mostly only talking to himself or once asked something. And, given with that, Kazik is an obedient young man. It is rare to see him go against direction. But, sometimes, Kazik wishes he would have the courage to do so. Sometimes, he wouldn’t even agree with what he is told, but simply hold his tongue and go on with it.

Kazik always seems tense, even more when around many people, such as a crowd. He hates crowds, really, and enjoys solitude. This is why the only was to seem him relax is when Kazik is with himself or only a few other people. But, Kazik likes to be with himself, not in the company of others. Because of this, Kazik is mostly only a hard shell – most people don’t see what he thinks about them and all on the inside.

When attention is shifted to him, thought, Kazik will freeze up. He never liked the attention being put on him, making him stressed. And, with stress, Kazik will end up stuttering, unable to say what he’s supposed to say.

To release any stress, Kazik will either play an instrument, mostly the Flute due to lack of others, or draw. Those, other than reading, are his hobbies. What Kazik draws the most is either scenery or people. Sometimes, Kazik would use his hobby for music to earn some money, playing in the streets and such.

When in a tough situation, Kazik is prone to panicking, and, well, will. But, whatever friends he may have, Kazik will try to protect. Trust is hard to earned, but once it is earned, you can be sure that Kazik will try everything to help you. That trust is not easily shaken either.

History:
Several years before Kazik’s birth, there was two trainers – Charlotte and Rachita. The two, at first, took on the gym leader challenge of Sinnoh, separate. But, in the end, both switched over to becoming Coordinators. Both had made it into the Grand Festival. That was where the two had met, where romance had sprung. Even if neither of the two won the Grand Festival, they were happy with just finding each other.

Several years after that meeting, they had married, and had decided on staying in Hearthrome City. Two years after, their son was born. At that time, Rachita hoped that Kazik would grow up to be a Coordinator, just like his parents. That is why Rachita had brought Kazik along with him when he went to the Contest Hall, starting at the age of six.

As for school terms, Kazik was home schooled by his Mother, as well as taught how to play the Flute by her. Kazik didn’t have many friends, being taught at home and hardly ever talking with the other kids in the neighborhood. Really, he just stayed inside, doing whatever he found to do. Mostly it was reading, drawing, or practicing the Flute.

When he was nine, Kazik received a Vulpix, which was given the name Ruby. This Vulpix was an offspring of his Mother’s Ninetails, the same fox Pokemon that brought Charlotte all of her ribbons. Though, a year later, when Kazik was able to go after all the ribbons, he decided against it. Thus, Kazik stayed behind while most of the other neighborhood kids went off all across the Sinnoh region.

After two year, training with Ruby, Kazik felt that he was ready to go after his goal, one set before long ago. So, with Ruby at his side, Kazik had left to become a Coordinator. It took a little over three to even do so, and Kazik almost didn’t make it into the Grand Festival. If the last contest hadn’t been won, then, surely, Kazik wouldn’t have made it in.

He was able to make it past the Preliminary Stage, and most of the Final Stage. But, the last match was very, very close. Kazik and his opponent were neck and neck in it. At the end, only one Pokemon remained for each, both in a bad condition. The last move was Power Gem, from Kazik’s Vespiquen, and Flash Fire, from the opponent’s Arcanine. Once the smoke from the attacks cleared away, it appeared that both Pokemon had fallen. Thus, it was all up to the points. Sadly, Kazik didn’t win, but had came very close to doing so – there was only a few points in the difference of his’ and the opponent’s scores.

Returning home, Kazik tried to decide on what to do next with him life. When returning from the Festival, Kazik was already fourteen, almost fifteen. There had to be something else, something fit…And, that was where the Gym Leader Challenge came in. Kazik tried his hardest to train his team – they were fit more for contests than gyms.

For a little over a year, and now sixteen, Kazik set off to try and make his way up the ranks as a trainer. For the first few battles, it was hard, especially for the gyms. This time, it took longer for the gyms, and for his Pokemon to adjust from the beauty to brutality of battles. About three and a quarter years it took just to make it to the Elite Four. And, even then, Kazik had troubles.

In total, it took four tries to actually get to the champion. Twice he lost to Bertha, the second Elite Four member, a third lost was due to Lucian, the fourth Elite Four member, and finally the last lost was to Cynthia, the Champion. But, on the fifth try, Kazik had finally won. Ever so happy he was.

After that, for five years, Kazik had happily traveled around two other regions, Hoenn and Kanto, participating in the Contests there. Sometimes, if ever, he would battle a few gym leaders, but never went on to challenge the Elite Four. Kazik had made the Grand Festival in both regions, but had only won the Ribbon Cup in the Hoenn region – Kanto, like before, Kazik had lost in the Final Stage. Around the time he had traveled to Hoenn, another addition to the team was made – an Altaria named Rachita, after his Father, who had gotten him into contests and the like.

Coming home after all those years, Kazik was greeted by a simple manila envelope, one with a familiar mark on it. Where had he seen this before? Hastily opening it up, Kazik was both filled with surprise and pure joy. Trainer Mountain, out of all places! Kazik remember all the stories he had heard of this place, where only the best of the best where accepted to go into. And yet, here it was, right in his hands!

Almost tripping over him, Kazik hastily ran upstairs to pack. This was his time, his time to shine.
