Sinnoh Dream Team

I only have Blue, Time, and Sky and honestly Sky is my favorite with all the additional quality of life items and places they added, plus new stories that weren't in Time. The story and characters great as well.

As much as this wouldn't come as a shock for most, I would say that the Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky were the best of the Mystery Dungeon games. I've tried all of these entries to my knowledge and that might of influenced my choice. Red/Blue Rescue Team were some solid first entries into the side series and while I haven't played Rescue Team DX for the Switch - I have heard some really good things about it as it brought back Mega Evolutions as well as some Pokemon that evolve from those of the first three generations. While I've only tried Red Rescue Team via emulation (shame shame, I know...), I do recall trying a bit of the demo for the game through a game store that is now long defunct. I would still like to find a copy of Blue Rescue Team this time around if possible - or maybe get lucky and get a Switch and a copy of Rescue Team DX. Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky really improved the way the games worked aside from just adding Sinnoh Pokemon into the batch. Only have Sky and while I've played T/D/S on emulation, I didn't get much further than Drowsee. Gates to Infinity was okay. The only plus I can say about it is the "annoying" belly system - for a good portion of the game at least... Big complaint was the lack of Pokemon outside of the Unova Generation (Aside from the Eevee family - and the lack of Sawk and Throh). Super was - a bit underwhelming. This was the only game of the franchise that I got close to when it was new. Brought back the belly mechanic again, but also added the push mechanic (where you could push team mates - what was the point of that again?). Never got around to finishing that or Gates to Infinity.

Explorers of Sky had a deep story that really tugged the heartstrings. It kept me wanting to play and see what happens next. While I've yet to get far enough to get my starting duo evolved, I still enjoy playing it on occasion. Rescue Team's story was just as engaging and while it lacked a good portion of the features the future entries brought in, it's second favorite. Gates to Infinity didn't keep me in long but the paradise feature was interesting and I'm a sucker for customization mechanics. Super dropped the ball big time with the lack of giving nicknames to new members aside from the starting duo...
