Since we're constantly changing, tweaking, and adding things, this thread will serve to easily inform you guys of what's going on in Uprising.

First bit of news! PANE's new Level Modifier system has been implemented into Uprising! As with PANE, this new system is being tested, so based on feedback and experience with it, we'll determine if it's fine or not. The new modifier can be found in the http://forums.gtsplus.net/index.php?s=&showtopic=5888&view=findpost&p=94512.
This new modifier affects every Pokemon as of today. If you have an evolved Pokemon, please change its levels in the http://forums.gtsplus.net/index.php?s=&showtopic=16535&view=findpost&p=392032.

With Letan's http://forums.gtsplus.net/index.php?showtopic=22763&st=0&p=582582&#entry582582 for a while, I have volunteered to keep Uprising going. For those of you that fear change, don't. This story is excellent and basically is running itself very smoothly. The only thing I will be doing different than Letan is wringing my hands in fearful anticipation of somehow messing up. Another change is that the mod staff of Uprising and PANE will be the same.
I would like, if you are so inclined, for each person to PM me and tell me that they are still active in Uprising. No other explanation is needed, I just want to get a feel for who is still involved.
I will be announcing two new mods as soon as I get confirmation of them.
Any questions, feel free to PM me.

Feel free to add your characters! Any information outside of your own characters (ie: shops, areas, important places, Factional NPCs) must be approved by a mod.

Those of you in PANE know how this works. All you have to do is edit your Progress Tracking post with the phrase "Rebel Scum" http://forums.gtsplus.net/index.php?s=&showtopic=16535&view=findpost&p=768299. This is to keep tabs on who's around so we can create an accurate census and clean up the Progress Track thread/Profile page.
If you don't do this, you run the risk of having your post/profile archived. You have until June 15 to do this. Don't wait that long; do it NOW!
NOTE: You can go ahead and get rid of the "Alive and Well" sentence.
Most anti-Rebellion post ever :P

Clean up complete! We actually didn't go down in population at all. Here's the current faction numbers:
Faction:
Magma: 4
Aqua: 9
Rebellion: 11
Civilian: 5
Magma didn't change at all, but Aqua is quickly gaining on the Rebellion. The mods will likely discuss whether to keep the cap or not.
You can compare the numbers yourself in the census thread on the Rules board.
Fun activity: Two characters have the same last name. Can you find them?

Quick announcement: the cap on the Rebellion has been lifted. Let's hope we don't get 20 more Rebels from out of the blue :P.

Due to server problems, anything that was posted today has been wiped out. If you want to attempt to recover any posts, you might be able to go through your history cache and find it (I've had some luck with that technique).

I have sad news... My laptop died today. T.T
As such, it is to be noted that getting on this site will be a might bit more difficult than usual. Although I will still be online and roaming around whenever possible, time may be cut a bit and, until I can either get my laptop fixed or get a new one, it would be best if all inquiries and the like be limited to the asking of Living Arrow, Master Houndoom, or 2gamers (who could contact me if the question, for whatever reason, required my opinion, expressly, though I have my doubts on that).
... until later, then. I'll send you all invitations to my laptop's funeral.

I ran out of time to do something fancy for you guys. Sorry 
To make a long story short, Magma tried to smuggle in a load of Unova pokemon for their exclusive use. Aqua and the Rebellion found out and attempted to highjack the boat carrying this special cargo. Needless to say, a massive fight broke out, causing the boat to run aground outside the city. All of the Unova pokemon escaped. There may be a mass RP based on this event in the future, if I ever get the time and motivation to organize it.
Conclusion: All Unova Pokemon are available for capture! Starter and Pseudo legend lists updated!

In the manner of 2gamers' unerring genius, I am taking a census of all current members and factions. In order to make this census accurate, I need to know what members are currently active. Here's what you have to do:
1. Go to your Progress Tracking post and type in the keyword at the top of your post. The keyword this time is… "Forget the fat lady, you're obsessed with the fat lady!"
2. That’s it! It’s that easy!
You have until midnight on July 19th to edit your profile accordingly. On July 20th, I will pick up my claymore and slay all the

Ladies and gentlemen, we have added two new mods to the Uprising Staff. Protoman and Amissa have agreed to help us out, and will be doing so effective immediately.
Feel free to ask them any questions or seek any mod-duties from them. Umbrae Calamitas and I are also available if needed. Specifically, for now, they do not have the ability to move, delete, or unhide posts, so those kinds of requests need to be sent to UC and I. We are working on getting them those abilities.
Please welcome them with open arms!

Hello, ladies and gentlemen. I am here, quite obviously, to make an announcement.
Listed on the Specialist Classes page are the classes that characters are able to choose from once they become an Elite and are strong and practiced enough to use adequately (in character, mind). We, as mods, plan to make a list under each Class of specializations - areas of expertise that a character may either specialize in, or use for a particular RP or Arc.
I would like to make a note that these are NOT more Classes. These are Specializes, and you may choose them if you wish, use them frequently, rarely, or not at all.
What I am offering here is a chance for you to make suggestions, comments, or complaints about the idea, that will all be taken into account if and before the list goes up.

The Great Purge has been completed. All profiles and Progress Tracking posts that did not submit the keyword by the 19th have been moved to their respective archives. A new census is now available in the Rules and Information section.
If your character's profile or progress tracking thread has been moved by mistake, please contact an Uprising Mod (Master Houndoom, Umbrae Calamitas, Protoman, Amissa).

Egg Moves
Ladies and Gentlemen, after careful deliberation, it has been decided that Egg Moves will be allowed from the very beginning of a pokemon's life as your partner. This means you will not have to wait until your pokemon reaches a certain level to use an egg move; they will be able to use it from the start. Obviously, the strength of it depends on the pokemon's level. We trust you all to have discretion.

I would like to point out some things:
1) This ONLY applies to Egg Moves, moves your pokemon specifically get through breeding. TMs are still restricted by level.
2) If your level 3 riolu has the egg move Earthquake, and goes up against a level 25 that knows Dig, EVEN if that riolu used Earthquake while the raichu was underground, the most that is expected to happen is that the raichu comes up a little sore (and possibly pissed). We will, however, accept that the shock of the move might cause the raichu to surface early or miss.
3) This is only for Uprising. PANE's rules are not affected by this.

I have some bad news I need to share.
Master Houndoom, who was a good friend of both mine and Living Arrow's outside of RP, passed away the weekend before last due to health problems.
Arrow and I are handling things concerning the RPs that Master Houndoom played in, and discussing the alterations with the mods, as needed.
I apologize for the delay in posting up about this, but I had needed time to make sure some things were finished before I made an announcement.
If there is anything anyone needs, feel free to message me.
