Charmander was my favorite because it looks badass as a Charizard in Red version. Seriously, that sprite is awesome. Anyway, for my team:

Blastroise is my favorite, it was my first pokemon so it has a special place in my heart

I always started off with Charmander, because I thought it was cute

Charmander is my favorite. I always chose Charmander, regardless of how people said it was the hardest or whatever. When I was little I had so many Charizard stuffed animals and t-shirts. I was obsessed.
Bulbasaur is my second favorite because it's cute. Squirtle is cute too and all, but I never really cared much for it. -------------------- |

Bulbasaur was my starter in both blue and red the first times i played it, becasue i just ... like it. Though i can't for the life of me remember what my team was bar venasaur, but i think nidoqueen was in it.

Personally I loved using Bulbasaur back in the day, having him and Pikachu made my fight with Misty easy. Good way to blaze through the game. Sure I also liked Charmander as well, Squirtle ranks low on my list of Kanto Starters for some reason, I rarely used it for some reason. Pikachu was good for what it was worth. Personally I wished back then I could start with an Eevee instead of Pikachu, but oh well. At least my wish was granted in a way thanks to Gale of Darkness.

I always thought Charmander was fantastic. It was my first pokemon ever, so I easily pick it over anything else. However, Bulbasaur and Squirtle are just so damn cute XD

Charmander! Gotta love the little guy.
My favorite party was from Yellow, and it was Charizard, Blastoise, Venasaur, Nidoking, Pidgeot, and Rapidash. My favorite of the orignal (and the best) starters is squtile. I choose the water starter in every game except in the 2nd gen where i choose cindequil.

I pick Bulbasaur. I like Squirtle and Bulbasaur the same so I couldn't decide, but I picked Bulbasaur because my friend likes Bulbasaur.

I liked Bulbasaur, though my decision was based on the colour of my cartridge. (I had Green, my favourite colour.) :P I think I liked Squirtle the best when I first got Green but chose Bulbasaur anyway... Now I like Bulbasaur. :}
