I started with squirtle!

I start with Squirtle, but once or twice I've gone with Charmander. I've never been a fan of Bulbasaur - or any grass type, tbh.

I think I started with bulbasaur but I restarted that so many times I've had them all so I'm not certain.

I started with Squrtle for FireRed and Charmander for LeafGreen (
 advantages!) But I mostly use Fire Red anyway.

I chose Bulbasaur. I actually played through several times in both FR and LG, but after giving each starter a chance, I found out that I enjoyed Bulbasaur the most. Actually, these two games are what started my love for the Grass starter in the first place.
I feel the most comfortable with Bulbasaur/Venusaur because of Leech Seed, Sludge Bomb, and Razor Leaf. I can take out some difficult enemies rather quickly with the combination of Leech Seed's draining and the Poison effect in a combo. This is the only Generation in which I absolutely love all three starters and know how to handle them all well, though. -------------------- |
