I saw my very first random shiny in Crystal, a shiny Tangela. However, I decided to switch to a random weaker Pokemon (Cubone) I had with me to damage it a bit. However, that was a very bad idea, as it decided to run away. I decided to restart my game anyway to try to get a shiny Pichu from the Odd Egg. I havent got one yet, but I have gotten a few shiny Igglybuffs, shiny Elekid, and maybe a fewothers that havent been Tyrouge, Magby, or Pichu, which are the the 3 I'm wanting most. (Really, I'll settle for either of the 3 at this point. T_T)

i swear, instead of hearing the usual damage noise, i heard the thing mario says when he gets damaged in super mario 64 ds

i cant activate the pomeg glitch ( i do it exactly as ive seen but nothing happens) or the tweaking glitch in platinum i even used pokesav to make an pomeg glitch ready pokemon but the glitch doesnt work

Whenever I think of RBY Glitches, Missingno comes to mind above all else. I can blame GameFAQs for that! =P

I've actually never heard of the L4 Glitch. I may try it out if I'm willing to risk hurting my cartridge! (Or whatever)

I have a slight problem with my Emerald game. For some reason unknown, my game won't count the progression of daily events. My internal battery is NOT out, or at least the game displays no message saying it is. It started right after a successful cloning, so maybe that has something to do with it. I don't have a gen 4 game yet, but I'd like to know if I'll still be able to pal park more than once in my game's lifetime, so can anyone tell me if the 24 hour waiting period counts for the 4th gen or the 3rd gen or both?

Sounds like you have the berry glitch, though I thought it was only in Ruby and Sapphire. I've heard that connecting to Colosseum can fix it.

It shouldn't have any effect on your Pal Parking, as the 4th gen games calculate the time, I assume.

R/B/Y can never be "screwed" due to Missingno. and 'M. They only mess up the Hall of Fame.

Anyway, let's talk about Missingno./'M. I also know quite a few other Gen 1 glitches (MissingnoXpert FTW!) so I will also discuss those. Putting it all in spoilers so this post won't be a mile long.

Both of these Pokémon give you 128 copies of the item found in the sixth slot of your inventory. For example, if you place your one Master Ball in the sixth slot, you will have 129. It will be displayed as a glitch symbol (or sometimes a blank space) and then a 9. This is when the game cannot handle three digits and simply places a random symbol there instead. Also, if you switch another item there and catch Missingno, you will receive 128 of that item as well.

Missingno. and 'M are, as most people know, found on the Cinnabar coast after talking to the Old Man in Viridian City. But why?

It seems that this is because of a quirk in the programming. When you fly from Viridian to Cinnabar and surf on the coast (which is technically classified as land tiles inside the town as well as water tiles), the game realizes that there are no Pokemon that can be found, but it has to make you find a Pokemon while surfing. It then uses whatever data possible. The data that is used is your name. Bulbapedia has a whole page dedicated to this "Old Man Glitch," the glitch being entitled thus because Missingno. and 'M are not the only Pokémon/Trainers that can be found there. I believe MissingnoXpert found a Mewtwo at level 245 from it, as well as Champion Blue with creepy, if not awesome, slowed-down music of the normal Champion theme.

You may always find 'M at the coast, because of supposed extra letters at the end of your name, which allow 'M to appear.

In this game, Missingno. is found via a variation of the Ditto Trick. You essentially do a long-range trainer glitch (if you don't know what that is, see MissingnoXpert's LGPY episode 1), fly to anywhere and battle a trainer, battle a Ditto, get it to transform into a Pokémon with one of several Special stats (e.g. 69), fly to a city near the route where the long-range trainer you would have battled is located and enter the aforementioned route. Ta-da! Your start menu pops open. Close it, and you have a CHANCE of battling Missingno.! Your game will most likely crash, like MissingnoXpert's game did a total of 13 TIMES! That is far more crashes than you will normally experience. You may also hear Missingno.'s true cry, which extends approximately twelve minutes and is, in my opinion, amazing.

This glitch is a glitch associated with five glitch trainers that you may find in Pokémon Yellow. When you encounter one, all but the 3rd and 6th Pokémon in your party will turn to Bulbasaurs. All the moves in your party will be compiled into one list, and all of them except the 3rd, 6th, 9th, 12th, 15th, 18th, 21st and 24th will be turned to Explosion. The reason for this is that the hexadecimal these trainers all occupy is that of Explosion, Bulbasaur and Z. Why it turns all but the 3rd, 6th, 9th etc letters/moves/Pokemon into Z/Explosion/Bulbasaur, I have no idea.

This glitch is epic. It comes with the glitch Pokémon TM55 (Q), which learns the move (the move is actually a blank space) at level 8. If you use it in battle, it will turn the moves into glitch symbols and say "There is no PP left for this move!" until you spam different moves. This can have multiple effects, the most common being the "TM Trainer" effect:

When this effect is triggered, the opposing Pokemon will turn a gold-ish color and will have a HUGE health bar. The text box will say this, excluding many glitch symbols:

"TM Trainer is frozen solid!"

"TM Trainer TM55 is hurt by the burn!"

The burn will then proceed to kill most opposing Pokemon, or at least nearly kill them. I have absolutely no idea why this happens.

Another effect it can have is the evolution effect:

The Evolution Effect is essentially where many Pokemon in your party - from 1 to 20 - evolve at once. You almost never have any of these Pokemon in your party. In fact, in some occasions, a gold Kangaskhan will evolve into a regular-colored Kangaskhan.

After the battle, you will have poisoned Pokemon in your party. You can do anything you wish from this point onward, but DO NOT SAVE. It will screw your savefile over and most likely delete it. Also, if you open your party, the game will crash. This happens because when you use the Super Glitch move, the game gives you absurd amounts of Pokemon. If you attempt to view your party, you will have too many for the game to handle, and the game will crash.

Another neat little trick involving the Super Glitch is this:

This trick is a fun trick to do in Lavender Town. Use the Super Glitch near, but not in, Pokémon Tower. Head up to the floor with the purified, protected zone. Walk into it. The Channeler next to it will have tears coming out of their eyes and their dress and random glitch symbols will appear in a text box, along with multiple random sounds. Once they are done playing, the map will be screwed, with invisible obstacles and fake obstacles that you can walk through. One Channeler that you can talk to in this area will reveal the true map to you and say "2 ERROR." In this way, it is similar to the 0 Error glitch.

A renowned glitch, Glitch City is amusing at best. To see the effects:

1. Enter the Safari Zone.
2. Exit immediately.
3. When you are asked whether you wish to leave early or not, say no and enter again.
4. Save the game immediately.
5. Reset your game.
6. Leave the Safari Zone. You will be asked whether you wish to enter the Safari Zone. Hax. Say no, and keep walking.
7. Fly to one of many routes, but not the cities.
8. Walk around until the PA calls you.
9. Leave the Safari Zone.

You should now be seeing a random assortment of tiles from places on the route you had been in before the PA called you. You may also see numbers and glitch symbols. This is derp. If you walk too far out from where you enter Glitch City, the game will crash. To leave Glitch City, just fly to any place you can fly to.

Well, I would post more (such as the famed Mew Glitch, walk-through-walls glitch and the renowned Level 100 Before Brock glitch) but I'm out of time. I hope this post has been informative!
