A friend I know online is offering to sell me off one of her older games. I can choose between Fire-Red or Sapphire since those are the two she has spare of.
The last game I played was yellow back on my GB Color, so I'm not really sure which direction to go in. Over all I'm looking for a game that is both entertaining and will take me a while to get through. I have a few questions that would sort of influence which I'd want: How are the graphics? How involved is the game play? How much is there to explore/unlock/side quests? How difficult is the game over all? How diverse are the pokemon/regions? How is the overall functionality of the game? (any major suckage or glitches/ known problems with the soft/hardware) Since neither of the games have wifi involvment I'm not to worried about the player sharing aspect since no one else I know IRL would be playing/swaping with me. So I'd love some advice! I'm Relying on you GPX! -------------------- |

How are the graphics?
They're both good since they're made for GBA. How involved is the game play? Same concept, battling other pokemon and collecting gym badges. How much is there to explore/unlock/side quests? For Sapphire, not much to explore other than for getting the Eon Pokemon (Latias) and the Regi Trio, getting those is like a puzzle. For FireRed, after the Elite 4, you go to this special place so you can catch Johto Pokemon. How difficult is the game over all? About the same, FireRed is easier due to the extra features like this Trainer TV that teaches you basics of the game for total noobies. How diverse are the pokemon/regions? FireRed is not that different from the Original Blue and Red ragions, with some Gold/Silver Pokemon thrown in. Sapphire, however, it's quite diverse in Pokemon and the places, I'd recommend that. How is the overall functionality of the game? Pokemon games are just about the same concept, get a starter, get all the badges, complete Pokedex, etc. No glitches I've seen since I got hte game years ago.
