I have a Bronzong card that says:
*picture of Bronzor* STAGE 1 Evolves from Piplup. I also have a Whiscash that says it evolves from a Meowth. This post has been edited by Ozzy: Nov 5 2009, 07:54 PM -------------------- |

I don't have any mistake cards, but it's possible that you have fake cards. Typos and mistakes supposedly happen a lot on fakes.

I got a Darkrai card form a friend, who told me it was fake (and was giving it to me BECAUSE it was fake.)
Apparently, the card art is incorrect for the attacks, but it otherwise looks real. -------------------- |

I can't say that I've been fooled by a fake card, but I will admit that I do own a fake card, which is simply one of the bootleg Base set Mewtwos.
Someone else had it and was trying to get rid of it honestly, I knew it was a fake at the time, but I decided to take it anyways since I liked how it looked. I still have it, it look EXACTLY like the normal base-set Mewtwo cards (Same attacks, same health, etc), just not shiny, and in part of the picture there's some goldish swirls on them. Which that difference is basically why I took a bit of a liking to it as well. |

I own a LOT of fake cards, even though they're fake, I like buying them at an Asian supermarket for about a dollar each. lol
A dollar for a booster pack, about 3 for a box of about 4 or 5 packs. |

I never got fooled by these, but an old friend of mine had this one Charizard card. When I took a look at it, it said that Charmander was the second stage and the text was weirdo. I told the guy it was a fake. I was surprised he didn't notice it.

I've never been fooled by fake cards, but I got a fake card deck for my first cards. XD
How do I know it was fake? Loads of the poke cards were random thought up names, such as Vulpix was called "Sixtails". XD -------------------- ayy

When I was younger I used to buy so many pokemon cards from this cheap shop, I probably spent so much money on it and when I went to a tournament to check I the games there and they told me that they were all fake , that was so much of my video game money!

There are legit cards that have mistakes too. For example, Dark Vileplume (from an old Team Rocket expansion) got the weakness right on the foil version, but wrong on the Non foil. Wizards of the Coast (the company that did the card game at the time) chose not to correct the mistake, and you could legally use either at a tournament.
There's other errors that popped up from time to time, and some of them can be worth something. The first Ancient mew cards in Japan had Nintendo misspelled, and the price for the error card was as high as $250 (don't bother looking at your card, the ones given out at the movie are corrected). -------------------- |
