so a few people mailed me on the 24th of december as i was the first person ever to break the 1,000,000 activity score mark ^^

so basically there are a few actions that increase your activity score and a lot that don't :p

BEFORE the 24th the formula was:
Activity score=improper*1+proper*16+(shelterEgg+released+shelterpokemon+purchases)*45+lab
gg*75+Hatch*80+Evolved*170

which is kinda long so i'll break it down to component that do or do not add to the activity score (numbers indicate how many activity points get granted for that action):

1 Improper
16 Proper
45 Egg shelter
45 Release
45 Pkmn Shelter

170 Evolve (stone)

notes:
- it says evolve (stone) cause i used a stone for the test
- proper means a proper berry interaction and improper is either feeding a wrong berry or interacting with an egg
- underground means that you get a pokemon back from the underground

the interesting (and exploitable) part of this formula was the Purchase part, your activity score would be increased by 45 points when you buy one or more items (more items don't give you more activity points though) from either the main shop or the backroom. this action requires you to put your mouse on the "purchase" link and then click, enter, enter and repeat.

this gave me 18K activity score per 5 minutes which is why i could acquire such a high score of 1 million.

then someone changed the coding so every item purchased would give you 25 activity points so buying 100 items in one go gave you 2,500 activity now instead of the 45 it gave before. that's why some people were able to get scores even higher than mine within minutes.

Now it seems the formula has been changed again and while i haven't done enough testing to tell you exactly this is what i've found so far: (FEEL FREE TO TELL IF YOU FIND OUT ANYTHING NEW )

as you see there is something wonky going on with buying items in my tests, i probably made a mistake somewhere but as i'm low on pure i don't really wanna test this atm

Evolution is still 170. I don't think it makes a difference whether or not an item is used.

I'm sorry I don't have any input to add, But I just wanted to say thank you for making this! It's very interesting to know what each action results in. Does activity score have any relativity outside of the Secret Santa event? Such as finding chests, or getting pokeboxes ect?

and shelter grabs are increased by correct berry feeding, which in turn increases activity but activity doesnt increase shelter grabs:)

I thought it was more grabs for every 10000 activity score?

it's about every 100-150 correct berry feeds when i kinda tested (which is only 1600-2400 activity score)

I believe it's more grabs the more interactions you do, and proper interactions count for a lot more.

ty for all the data, added it (it was pretty much the same as the old stats though, i guess they just changed the shopping part)

and tested the VS seeker which i never use, won 13k and got 0 activity points

Actually you get an extra 5 grabs based on activity score not Proper Berries. Something like 5-10k can't remember which, but it seemed to be 5k on a normal day.

Not sure about the items, though. I just had a go at buying a few.

1 Hard Stone gave me 5 Points (as did 1 Metal Powder) I don't think point differences matter.
2 Items gave me 10
3 Gave me 15
4 Gave me 20 and so on.

Think it's just x*5 x being the amount of items etc :P

No. It's number of Shelter Passes * floor(((some number * interactions) + (some number * proper interactions))/some number) that get added, yup yup.

I really don't know where you get that shelter grabs for activity score idea from, when Big Bidoof has been kind enough to let us know exactly how the extra grabs work, apart from the hidden numbers.

Did anyone check if you get activity score for pass orbs? I think it would be a good idea to check after reset, as that is when pass orbs are awarded.
