Awesome, I definitely didn't see this coming
I got a fighting memory from the voucher

The thought of GPX maybe not lasting another year makes me sad, so I hope it hits its 10th anniversary next year.

I'm gonna use the plier to work on some ongoing shiny hunts, hopefully I get lucky

This is fantastic, and I'm not quite sure how I missed it yesterday. These are all amazing things that you've been doing, and it's crazy to think I just squeaked in to joining the site before the first anniversary... I joined 8 years ago as of a few days ago. That's crazy to think of!

Even though the site has been stagnant, it's been at a good place with many features to enjoy! Thank you for all of your efforts to the site!

My heart stopped a little bit when I checked GPX and found "nine years of memories."

The visualization of that is incredibly sweet and I think it was a very nice touch for the Valentines and birthday celebration.

Thank you for everything you have contributed to this site and the community. We feel the love you have for this site, even if you can no longer commit the time to it like before. Hopefully you feel the love we have for this site as well in return!

Looking forward to my own nine year anniversary with GPX this April happy.gif

I've been here since June 2010.
That's eight years in June, it's crazy!

I love thinking back, because this site's just been here in various stages of my life.
It's always been something to turn to for relaxation in stressful situations and I appreciate that so much.
I love the fact that I'm able to contribute to this site, and hope to continue doing this for as long as possible.

Thank you site, for being here!

I guess I am also one of the oldies writing here, seems that on May 11 it is going to be my 9 years as a GPX+ member. happy.gif Well, not counting the three-ish years I have been absolutely inactive.

Either way, this website is and has been a relaxing, fun activity and I enjoy every minute spent here. I enjoy the surprise of hatching a shiny, the thrill of starting a new shiny hunt, the rush of site-wide events... The list could go on and on (excluding battling, I somehow cannot get through it grin.gif ).

A sincere thank you to the staff and everyone who participated in creating and maintaining this wonderful website. I really, really hope the 10th anniversary is going to happen, and I am sure I will still be here for it. Happy 9th anniversary GPX+!

Wow, I never realized I joined so early on in the site! (April 26th is my 9-year anniversary.) Thank you to all of the mods, admin, and members for making my time here on the site so much fun!

Oh wow, the poke hunt prizes sound awesome! It'll be a great incentive to regularly participate.

I hit my 9th year anniversary in April. Hard to believe the site has been around that long, honestly. Maybe I'll finish my dex sometime in the next 9 years. tongue.gif

It'll be my 11-year anniversary here come June! Due to the original GTSPlus having launched in 2007. wink.gif

I'm glad you are all happy with the Memories!

I'm happy with these Memories, but my God, it's gonna take forever to get a enough Shiny Type Null for them.

I'll hit my 9th anniversary on here in about 4 months.
Fun fact I saw something about GPX before, but I wanted to wait until it launched before signing up
Me being me, I forgot about about it until months after then still signed up.
In hindsight I'm both glad and not that I signed up after launch.
I didn't have to go through the first crashes, but I also missed out on community things that I would have probably enjoyed.

Ahhh! I'm so happy to still be a part of this wonderful community and website. While I know GPX+ won't be around forever, the years it's brought me of just overall idle enjoyment have brought so many positives. Happy (although belated) anniversary GPX. <3

I missed the event but wanted to add to this thread. I joined gtsplus before gpx+ was even in beta and made some really great friends, some that I still talk to and keep track of a bit over a decade later. It was amazing to watch the site grow the way it did, it was really unique to this little subsection of the internet. I even remember when eggs first bstarted showing up in the mods signatures and most of the normies on the forum like me had no idea wtf was going on at first haha.

I'm really glad to see it's still around in some fashion, and I make a visit at least monthly with some sporadic days full of activity here and there and I probably will until the site goes away. Thanks for the memories, gpx+ crew!

Hi.

I also wasn't here when this thread was made, but wanted to make a sentimental post too.

I joined GTS/GPX in May 2009. Elsewhere online, I saw people with eggs in their signatures, and that's how I discovered this place. I've had fluctuating activity throughout the years. Sometimes I was super active every day for a long period of time, and sometimes I got burned out and was dormant for weeks or months, popping in occasionally to see what's new and how everyone is doing.

There's a lot to do on GPX. I've been here for 9 years and still haven't filled out the Pokedex, collected all the trinkets, or gotten all the achievements (although a few of them are beyond the time and/or energy I'm willing to commit to). I also love how friendly and easygoing the community is. Unless I missed it due to being inactive, there's pretty much no drama here at all. There used to be some in earlier times, but it was still much less than many other places on the Internet.

The site's changed a lot over the years, and I think it's always been for the better. Interacting is a lot faster and more convenient than it was back when I joined. Before the current layout that lets you open hundreds of eggs and Pokemon instantly, and before that when people made mass clicking guides, I used to open one egg/Pokemon at a time from a party and interact with it.

I know that the GTS forum predates GPX by at least two years (from what I've seen, GTS+ was made in 2007?). I don't really know much about those early days before GPX, and maybe there are some interesting stories that'll never get told. In most communities I've been in, I seem to join at least a generation after a major change takes place and the site is already a few years rich with history, some of which can be found by searching or is recounted by the veterans, and perhaps some that's been removed after an update to the site, never to be brought up again. All I really know is that if I'm remembering right GTS is/was affiliated with a Fire Emblem site and many of the early users were members of that site as well.

I've definitely had some fun times here, even if I'm rarely on nowadays. I don't know if it'll be anytime soon, but maybe one day I'll be active again. I hope this place continues to last a long time.
