I got one on Platinum yesterday.
 I'm excited about the event it triggers in HG and SS.

I wasn't originally going to get it, but when I preordered SoulSilver I saw it was still available, so I figured why not? I will definitely be getting the Jirachi event, though.

I got one on pokemon pearl, and forgot about platinum... regretting forgeting it now cus it's so cute!!! Anyone know what the evolutions look like?

Urf, I hate gamestop events. That's the reason I wont prob be able to get the Pichu. Tho, I've got friends in the US who have been going dowloading them daily, so they might lend me one.

Nope. Don't know anywhere here in England that does the events... and even if there are places that do the events, they don't advertise them at all T_T

Managed to grab 2 Shiny Pichus with my Diamond and Platinum, it wouldn't let my HeartGold take it for some reason...
Got into a convo with the GS girl over Pokemon and she mentioned that she didn't know about the event on the first day and when she said there was no pichu event to a boy he started he left, starting to cry... and heres the catch, she said he was 17 --------------------     |

Jirachi event? i keep hearing about it but personally I've heard nothing about it til i was reading these posts. Seems like i have some research to do!!! Also i imagine the evolutions look the same. the pichu came with an everstone(mine did), so i'm assuming that the idea is to keep the cute self sacrificing little dude the way it is. maybe one day i'll teach my pichu how to not hurt itself.

The 'fuss' is that the Shiny Pichu gives you something special in HG/SS.

I walked 3 miles, mostly uphill, to get my Pikachu-Colored Pichu! I got two of them too.
@Zero Gravity: The event was only for the american releases of the DS pokemon games, that's why your HG wasn't allowed to get it. @Metalnat: I'm not sure, but I'm fairly sure the event it activates in HG/SS won't activate if you evolve it, so wait til you do that before evolving it. =P Another thing is these Pichu's know special moves they wouldn't usually know, Volt Tackle being one of them. --------------------   |
