I opened two booster packs the other day and got some good pulls but no Lv.Xs. So I looked on youtube and saw Lv.Xs came in special packs.
Im confused!! -------------------- My Card (click to show ) |

Level X cards are randomly placed in packs. There is no certain way to get one other than luck. (through packs, that is)
There are tins out there that come with a level X card in them, so that's the closest thing to a guaranteed level X as you can get. -------------------- |

It is possible, but extremely rare. The chance of getting one in a pack is 1 in 36. The 36 is the number of packs, of course.

Yes you can - got one a couple of days ago - the 1 in 36 chance though means that even if you have a booster box full, there's still no guarantee (my brother went through a whole box worth of Secret Wonders boosters and got none. Some nice holofoils but no lv.x's)
The lv.x in the tins though are generally promo ones and not the same as what's in the regular boosters. Hope you have better luck with the next pack! (oops, didn't see how old the original post was when I added to the convo) |

I feel your pain. It took me forever to find a LV. X and I still only have one. You are not going to find one in the first two packs you open.
Now I would like to ask you, what is a "special pack"? Also, the only difference between a promo LV. X and a regular is the artwork. -------------------- |

You are not going to find one in the first two packs you open. I did! Well, at least in the first two packs I've opened in over a decade. Call it beginner's luck. Not that I can actually play it or anything, since I don't have a base card for that particular pokémon. :< It's nice and shiny and pretty, though. -------------------- |

Yeah, you can get LvX Pokémon in booster packs. You need to be very lucky to be able to get them.
That's how I was able to get my first LvX card, Lucario LvX~ -------------------- |
