Kinda like "Grind your gears" except things that are directly your fault!

I summoned three legendaries then used the two legendary vouchers. Without the multipliers, they are taking forever to hatch, and I also started 12 Days of Christmas. I now have to wait forever for an open slot in my party to move on to the next task, and I feel dumb

What about everyone else? What have YOU done that, in hindsight, wasn't very smart?

My first shiny here was a Sableye which I didn't like the colors of so I released it. That bothered me after awhile so I hunted for another one to replace it which I got last year. I don't mind the colors now either, heh.

A few years ago, I was going to release some Pokemon and I was scrolling back up the page to the Release button, I must've accidentally clicked on a shiny Swellow and I released it. I was upset about it at first but I was soon able to find another one. I also accidentally released a Fossil Lileep back when fossils were still new as well as a Makuhita I was saving for the badge achievements.

So for the longest time (probably something like a year and a half), I was wondering why I couldn't find any Flaming Zorua eggs in the Shelter. I was shiny hunting one and had a couple in the Daycare, but I also wanted to be able to grab some Shelter eggs to help that out. Well... no eggs showed up. Ever.

I was aware of the "you can't have more than two novelties of the same kind" thing. I checked my PC several times to make sure that I didn't have another one hiding in there.

Well... turns out I was searching for a Flaming Zoroark... and not a Flaming Zorua. I had an extra Flaming Zorua sitting around somewhere, preventing me from grabbing their eggs.

I... felt really stupid.

I actually lost a good few summons because I forgot about 3 novelty/legendary eggs per party thing... repeatedly.

Oh, and I got the new Fossils mixed up so I waited for ages... to buy the wrong one. Then I had to wait again for the right one to be back in stock...


Most of the things that I wrote in "Grinding my gears" would probably fit here...

I used a summoning item, got the egg. Used a 2nd summoning item and got the egg. Used a 3rd one and got the egg. Used a 4th, 5th and 6th summoning item (One at a time, used the next summoning item once I lost the previous egg), and didn't understand why the fudge I couldn't find the eggs

I remember distinctly there was a Pass Power active one day, I think it was Summon Power, so I decided to try to get some Lab summons. Before I did, though, I activated some other Power without realizing that it overrode the Summon Power, then proceeded to go into the Lab, summon an egg, and miss it entirely. And then proceed to do it again.

Was supposed to hatch my spike-eared pichu egg prematurely using flame orb, instead clicked release and didn't even read the warning and just released the egg.... lucky it wasn't shiny, otherwise I'd kick myself

Well, one day somebody was releasing loads of novelties into the Safari. At the time I didn't realise there was an achievement for just casually picking them up, and just passed it over. Now I have to wait until somebody else gets a similar idea, while slowly searching.

They mostly happen when there's over 420 breeds in there.

Today I summoned two legendaries without having any clue as to what to look for in their egg descriptions. As a result, I missed both of them. I should have at least figured out which Pokemon a Green Orb summoned.

I guess pretty much when I accidentally released Lucca (a shiny Lucario I got when trying for the Playing Hard to Get achievement). I didn't even notice for some days. Fortunately I hatched another 2 shinies and the second was female again.

Summoning a Rayquaza while I had three other Legendary/Novelty-eggs in my party. Luckily it wasn't shiny...
And I released my shiny Aerodactyl. Still have no idea how that happened. It just did.

I forgot to open GPX+ as a private window.

So about 30,000 interactions later, firefox crashes. Turns out that having to record so many pages into browsing history is a bit much for this browser to handle.

Its very annoying when I do several thousand interactions in a row and then realize i can hear my computer constantly writing all that to memory.

Accidentally releasing a ready-to-hatch Palkia Egg while on the mobile site one day. I mean, I was able to get another, but that dampened my mood.

And now I accidentally released an entire Box of Pokemon I was planning to keep, including a previous SWSH prize. I really should start labeling my Boxes.

Looking for a Pokemon in the Shelter for a Badge achievement. I ended up refreshing over a Shiny Roserade. I mean, I found it about 5 or so refreshes later, but then I got ninja'd for it. I slammed my head on the desk for a good 20 minutes afterward.

For some unknown reason I thought I would be able to change pikachus back and forth between the different cosplay box forms and back to normal form, like you can with the different vivillon flags. So I dressed up my shiny pikachu as a doctor to get the dex info.

What I wouldn't give for a devolution item...

Ran out of Shelter grabs, then started an Exploration..And of course I needed to pick up a few Pokemon from the Shelter for one of the tasks. :/

Argh. I just wanted more Heart Sweets.. (The icon that said Sweets+ was currently active was there, but I guess it wasn't actually active for some reason, because they're all gone now.)




OH LOOK A NEW THING BECAUSE I'M A DUMB: Thought Bonsly was part Grass-type. Took my decently-IVed Carnivine out of the Poke Hunt in order to put Bonsly in, realized too late that Bonsly was pure Rock. Can't put Carnivine back in. I have literally nothing for the Hunt now.

I've refreshed over Legendary Pokemon in the Shelter and Lab on multiple occasions. I nearly released a Shiny Bulbasaur from my party because I was in such a rush to get ditto because there was a flux of them in the lab one night, mind you this was back long before there was any explorations and the site still had the old layout where you had to open each Pokemon in a different tab. Luckily I didn't release it because the egg was premature, thank the heavens, and it hatched shiny. But I've even refreshed over Legends in the lab that I've summoned myself so I knew to expect them.
