Well, I somehow stupidly goofed just a few minutes ago cause swear I didn’t have my SWSH Lechonk that I evolved and got in only 22 eggs clicked while quick releasing from my party since I have no room for new Pokémon, but should’ve had it locked down, anyway. Dunno if I am unable to adopt it back from the Shelter immediately after release or if someone else could adopt it then release it, I still wouldn’t be able to get it back. Even if it’d take hours of hunting to find it possibly… anyone know or can help me out? Pretty please… this was only the 7th base form species I got shiny (12th total) and wish I hadn’t freaked up so freaking bad. ;( Though I doubt even if I could reclaim it, I’d get my recorded shiny hunt stats back on it… or worse, if I keep being active on this site, will get credit for having completed the SWSH when I got rid of the Pokémon that was my intended hunt. I don’t even know if I can get multiple rewards for multiple hunts during this time… and this was a personal record to date, which netted me 2 achievements hadn’t gotten yet.

I dunno how long it takes for released Pokémon to show up in the Shelter, if not right away as I would imagine or if the site’s rules forbid you from readopting a Pokémon you chose to throw away immediately or ever again. Been feverishly checking the Shelter ever since I did it, I honestly did not expect to make such a stupid mistake, desperate for someone to help me out here… though it’s almost enough to make me leave this site and never come back, only came back 3 weeks ago today after almost 13 years since I’d forgotten about this and somehow happened to remember it out of the blue.

(Well, someone beat me to adopting my shiny, but dunno if I could still get an answer to some of my questions here.)

Well, if you are 100% sure about that without showing me something else (like another thread on the topic, if I don’t try to search for one, haven’t done so yet), not that I don’t believe you but always like to be certain… though you’ve been here about as long as I have, but certainly longer than me and played more than me since I said took a 12-13 year break until 3 weeks ago and this makes me wanna say “piss off” to the site again, even if it was on my own freaking doing and could’ve been avoided. I know it was locked at first, but unlocked it to move it for others to get in the party and then screwed up on my second or third release batch I was doing when it happened.

Just wanted to get some fed in case they didn’t find new owners/homes, before they eventually get erased, even if the site wants to keep that data of those you feed/release for personal statistics and Daycare Offspring pairs, like showing I did over 1800 Litwick when I bred it with a Ditto years ago and not that many still exist on here.

Under the second Q&A, it says: "However, you cannot obtain from the Shelter or Safari any Pokémon (or egg) that you previously owned. This includes eggs donated from your Daycare and any Pokémon you choose to release."

Funnily, I kinda looked there earlier, but didn’t search beyond a quick search about what happened if someone’s released Pokémon, so missed that. I already had my suspicions I could do that, but still... know it’s my fault it happened and I do still have credit I guess for the SWSH completion, in addition to being one of the fastest/lowest number of eggs if you look there and see my name. Still, wanted to keep it and level it to 10l, use it in the Underground, etc.

Anyway, dunno if there’s Pidove in the Shelter, says I need one for current step of an Exploration never did before but has to be from the Safari Zone it claims, hatched from an egg from the Shelter won’t count I believe. If you or others who see this could adopt eggs and then release them for me to grab later, once the 12 hour wait is up or before, with the use of Heart Scales.
