I personally love the hunger game series <3 It was the best book I think I've ever read. Just wondering what you guys thought of the series? I finished it within a week and can't wait for the next book, MockingJay to come out
I sort of want them to make a movie out of it but it would be almost a definitely R rated since it would involve so much blood. I am only on the 2nd book. I am a terribly slow reader.
Its a pretty food series. -------------------- |

I've only read the first book in the series, but I do plan to read the rest. As for my thoughts on the book, I really liked it. The plot was unique and it kept me interested.

Anyone else really excited for March 23rd?
Been constantly listening to the theme song by Taylor Swift. Such a beautiful song... really cannot wait for it to come out. Been reading up on everything earlier this evening. Really can't wait for this! -------------------- Don't forget to love yourself. I liked the books (though, in my opinion, they got worse, numero uno being the best, tres being the worst, but I still liked the series), so hopefully the movie will be good, just hoping that it's not another Eragon/Percy Jackson movie

First is always the best
I really should get round to obtaining the books. They seem like a good read. I haven't read a book in ages so it'd be nice to sit in bed and read for a bit -------------------- Don't forget to love yourself. I am so excited for them! I'm a huge potterhead so I'm skeptical that they'll produce anything on that scale, but all the content that's been released so far looks really promising. The books themselves are fun reads but a bit light: I finished them in one day. But the content is different than what you'd find in most other YA fiction. I don't know if it's outright scary but it's much closer to a psychological thriller than just your average YA love-triangle dystopia. But I'd recommend them to anyone who hasn't read them yet, because the movie will inevitably change a few things.
Is anyone going to the midnight premiere? A bunch of my friends are but I'm too much of a serious student to consider going on midnight Thursday when I have class on Friday... -------------------- |

Been recommended by a few friends to read the books -- one even demanded I go see with the film with her when it comes out. She gave me a brief description of the series, though, and it's got me interested to see the movie.

I'm so looking forward to this trilogy. I read the books early last year, and thoroughly enjoyed them. I'd mention what I enjoyed about them and what criticisms I have, but I'd probably spoil quite a lot of the plot.
I also keep listening to the Taylor Swift song and trying to guess which scene in the film it will be played to. -------------------- Shiny Shiny (click to show ) |

I'm just happy I'm done the first book at least. I WANT TO SEE THIS. And yes, I agree with you Sideswipe. Percy Jackson was a great book but the movie kinda stunk. Hope they don't fuck this one up too much.

I liked the books (though, in my opinion, they got worse, numero uno being the best, tres being the worst, but I still liked the series), so hopefully the movie will be good, just hoping that it's not another Eragon/Percy Jackson movie I hope not. Those movies utterly prevented for the sequels to be made, taking out important characters and other necessary things to make time. Bleh. The trailers look very accurate so far, and I can't wait to see it. 12 days!! I might not get to see the midnight premier, but I will see it probably on the 24th. (GO Gale!) The first book was superb, the second not so much, and I wanted to burn the third. If you haven't read them or are just starting to, DO NOT READ THE THIRD. It is horrible the way it ends, let your imagination end it instead. -------------------- Pane (click to show ) Percentages and Truths (click to show ) |
