We've all seen it, right? That one egg. The one that's just sitting smack center of and happy in the Shelter, kind of like scenery as you F5, looking for the eggs required to fulfill your quest. And then you start a quest that requires that one egg...and it's not there. Ever.
Alternatively, you search the Lab and Shelter for days on end, looking for a particular egg. As soon as you acquire it? It seems as it's constantly in both places. And pft, was it rare? Doesn't seem so now, does it? Stories you'd like to share? I ran into four Mantyke eggs this past hour, and it seems like there is always a Ralts egg in the shelter now that I actually have one. And of course, the moment I'll want another Mantyke, the eggs will disappear. Related motivational poster (NSFW language) -------------------- hooked back up to the cathode ray |

Oh dear god. yes.
I had the EXACT same situation with Snover. I spent DAYS looking for one. DAYS. And once i finally got one, the shelter and the lab exploded into Snover-palooza. It's called GPX+ love eff!ing with our minds. -------------------- No longer available on GPX+ for now. Don't bother clicking me. Thank you. |

Gible. Still rare, but I've seen more in the past week than I have in the three weeks before that. Same with Dratini, except Dratini aren't that rare for me at all. Every time I go to the shelter, a Dratini is there. Guaranteed.

That happened to me with Bulbasaur. XD Now I have to fight the urge to click a Bulbaegg every time I see one. Exact same thing with me. And then whenever I keep seeing it, I get that twinge of bad feeling, that sappy part that wants to take it because no one seems to want it. And miltank too. I hunted for these pokemon until I got them and now it's rare if I don't see one every other refresh. -------------------- |

A story?
I wanted a zangoose egg so badly. I went to the shelter and forgot to PC a pokemon. Guess who was sitting smack-dab in the center of the shelter? Well, it wasn't zangoose, but he was just a bit south-west of it. -------------------- |

I was that way with torchic. Couldn't find it couldn't find it. I finally find it and then I see 3 more in the shelter within minutes.

You JUST described my experience with Cyndaquil and Vulpix. I was so psyched to get them, and then they have always been in the shelter ever since.
BTW, blasphemy, I love your display picture. Just saying. -------------------- |

Minun. When I started they were EVERYWHERE. I get around to wanting one? Nope, not a one. Took me a week to locate one and I was so desprate by then I locked myself for it.

Ugh. Yes. I spent DAYS looking for a Porygon egg and it seemed literally no one was breeding them, then after I gave up and starting searching for more common ones, finally one popped up followed by many more a couple days later ._.
Basically once you truly stop caring about whether or not you find it, is when you most likely will. -------------------- |

It took me ages to find a bulbasaur egg once I started looking, but for the week prior to that I'd seen so damn many of them. Same with torchic; now that I'm looking, I can't find one.
If I start seeing Beldum eggs everywhere once I find one, I'm going to snap... -------------------- |

Ugh, this was my EXACT experience with Misdreavus. I kept seeing it constantly in the shelter, but never grabbed it, cause I was working on other eggs first, then when I decided I wanted a Misdreavus, it became the rarest pokemon in the world. Nothing showed up in shelter and I finally had to snag it from the lab after a lucky refresh. *shakes fist @ gpx site!*

I used to see Caterpies all the time in the Shelter, but once I decided I wanted to focus on filling up the Kanto dex, I didn't see a single one for almost a full day of Shelter watching. I ended up finally getting on today by stalking the Lab (something that I almost never do because I'm horrible with word descriptions and I'm always afraid I'll get the wrong ones). Ah well.

Porygon. I used to see two or three a day. Now that I want one? Nope.
I wanted a Chikorita for the longest time to breed with my Tangela, since starters are largely male and every other Grass type I hatched ended up female. Now I don't want one, they're everywhere. I don't see Relicanth, Skarmory, or Ditto anyway. When I start hunting, they'll be impossible. -------------------- |

That has happened to me.
Being one of my favorites, the pokemon I searched for from day one was growlithe. After what felt like ages I said "I'm going to the shelter and I'm not leaving until I have a growlithe egg." Eventually I found one. Now I see a growlithe egg every time I'm in the shelter, and I doubt they're the ones I bred. I don't mind too much, I plan to raise a team of them anyway. -------------------- |

Ponyta.
It was everywhere before. Now that I want one? Shelter and labs been over run by rock/bug types for me. Not a darn flamin' horse in sight. -------------------- One of these days I'll get around to posting my art blog. I DON'T have a gender. It, Ze, they, or Jay(my nickname) please. |
