Shiny Spinarak.. isn't shiny?, What the heck is going on here |

Okay, so I'm on a Spinarak shiny hunt, and just now, I hatched a shiny Spinarak.
 However, her species name is just "Spinarak" as opposed to "Shiny Spinarak" or "Sh. Spinarak", and the miniature sprite is a normal Spinarak.  She also did not trigger the "Congratulations on finishing your shiny hunt!" message, nor did she hatch as a "Sh. Spinarak" or officially finish my shiny hunt. She was adopted from the Lab, as opposed to from the Shelter. I've gotten other parent-less shinies before, a Shellos I obtained from an Egg Voucher back a bit ago. What's going on? Image glitch, some weird reaction to her being a Lab-obtained shiny, or something else entirely? Has this happened to anybody else before? (...please don't change her back to a normal Spinarak, I love her as is.  She even hatched with the alternate sprite I wanted!) --------------------     |

That's the actual sprite for a non-shiny Spinarak in Gold/Silver. The colours probably confused you. Try a sprite changer, you'll see its' other sprites are normal green.

Spinarak's color was way different in G/S/C because it only appeared at night. They fixed it in later generations. The old normal and shiny sprites looked alike.

Wow, I feel kind of stupid now.
That's really weird, though. I found a shiny Spinarak back in Silver once, and then I found a normal one, and they were.. well, obviously different. Thanks for the input, guys -- mods can lock. xD -------------------- |
