Darci blinked, hearing everything around her. It seemed to all swirl together in her head into one garbled mess. Before she knew it, the young girl who had come in was upset and DC seemed irritated and had gone to bed. Realizing what had happened she felt a sharp stabbing guilt nail itself deep into her heart. She looked back and forth between Sora and DC.

"I..." She didn't know what to say. She could see the uneven breathing of Sora, a thing which most people have when upset. She looked over to DC and frowned. Oh no. I said bad things to them, didn't i!? She jolting into a upright sitting position and slammed the palms of her hands against the side of her head, her wounded left arm stinging in pain. She closed her eyes and held her head almost crushingly tight. "DC, Sora, I..." She stuttered. She had not wanted that to happen. "I-I'm sorry, Sora. I'm so very Sorry." She said quietly, her voice shaking slightly. Knowing it would be best to make it up to them she stood best she could, spreading her black sheet over her pokemon and lightly laying a small blanket over Sora. She was glad that most of her blankets were thin, portable, foldable, sheets. DC was the only one with the non-sheet blanket which was a blanket She, Vincent, and Victor had made, their names embroidered into the soft fabric.

Standing, she quietly opened the tent flap and stepped out, the cold rain pounding against her pale flesh. She didn't mind it though, she was going to go find some berries! Since she was also a coodinator, she knew where the find the best berries! Slushing barefoot through rain she stumbled over a branch, nearly falling on her face. Instead, she threw herself against a tree for support. Regaining her balance, she sprinted through the woods, jumping over rocks and roots and ducking under branches until she reached a small clearing, barely a mile from the tent. Looking around, she saw berries of almost every type. She smiled happily, plucking a Pecha berry off a bush. Placing it in her mouth, she bit down, surprised at the sweetness. Looking at the berries around her, she started picking Leppa, Pecha, Cheri, Chesto, Rawst, anything she could pick and fit in the makeshift basket of her dress. She looked up and nearly dropped all the berries she had gathered so far. Three. Perfect. Rare. Spelon Berries. She stared in awe for a moment before rushing over and picking all three. She continued to pick what she could, the rain flattening her hair against her black and drenching her black silk nightgown, causing it to wrap and mold around her thin, lanky body. It was really a poetic scene.

Happy with what she had, she started making her way back, hoping that maybe while she was walking back, DC and Sora could have some pleasant conversation without her stupid face ruining it. As she started back, there was a flash of lightning and loud crack of Thunder. She jumped a bit and looked up.

"It's gonna hail soon, better hurry back." She said, walking back as a brisk pace.

The sand-man claimed DC alright, but she still slept restlessly, tossing and turning until Devil and Cheepie became fed up with dodging her rolling body and went to sleep near the top of her head. Being a light sleeper, DC's eyes began to flutter open when there was a bright flash of light outside, illuminating the silhouettes of the forest around the tent. When it was followed by thunder, DC snapped awake, sitting up quickly by instinct. Devil made a grumbling noise and covered his head with his front paws. Breathing heavily, DC scanned her surroundings before realizing that she was indeed, still in the tent with Darci and Sora. ...Wait. Where was Darci?

Darci was indeed missing, and DC at first wanted to believe she was imagining things. Dreams were still buzzing around her mind, putting her brain in a fog, but the instant she tried to recall one it flitted just out of grasp. DC closed her eyes and massaged her forehead, but when she opened them again her fears were confirmed. Darci was nowhere to be seen.

"What the..." DC murmured in confusion. This was not good. Darci had been acting strangely before, but DC would have never thought that she'd just get up and leave. And why? Why would she take off into the storm in the middle of the night? Visions of Darci alone in the woods, getting lost, attacked, even struck by lightning flashed through DC's thoughts. She tried to brush them away, but she couldn't help being worried. Truthfully she already had formed a certain fondness for Darci, perhaps because the girl had selflessly helped DC out and welcomed her into the tent. Needless to say DC would truly hate for something bad to happen to her. Not to mention she felt slightly responsible for the whole thing. She should have just asked Darci what was wrong, or something, anything would have been better than ignoring the unknown problem and hoping it went away.

DC edged over to Sora, the pain in her ankle rudely greeting her the second she moved her body. "I hate to wake her up, but..." She gently nudged Sora. "Psst. Hey Sora, Darci's gone. I don't know where she went. Were you by any chance awake when she left?" DC paused. "I'm just really concerned because she wasn't acting like herself. She's normally very kind and friendly. The way she treated you was completely out of character, at least from what I've seen. ...I think something must be wrong, and I can't explain it, it's just my gut feeling."

[Jay Shay]

"Psst. Hey Sora, Darci's gone. I don't know where she went. Were you by any chance awake when she left?"

Sora slowly got up, with tired eyes she let out an "err..." of laziness. "Huh What?" She said once she was finally awake.

The words set in to her brain. Darci's gone.

Sora's blue eyes opened wider than usual. "G-gone?" She asked, just to make sure.

This is all my fault...
She thought sadly. Realized she was being asked a question she said, "No, I didn't even know." Hanging her head down low she said "It's probably because of me." She stood up. "I need to find her."

"I'm just really concerned because she wasn't acting like herself. She's normally very kind and friendly. The way she treated you was completely out of character, at least from what I've seen. ...I think something must be wrong, and I can't explain it, it's just my gut feeling."

Sora nodded her head. "I know how you feel. I get feelings like that too. I would have never guessed this one but..like I said before, I need to find her.

Sora walked out into the rain and mud and there was a flash of lighting, and a crack of thunder. Her hair became soaking and her curls were no more. "Darci?" She called. "Darci where are you?" She had a worried tone in her voice.

Darn it! I read a manga online called Absolute Boyfriend and Darn it! It made me cry! *Dramatic Sob* *Throws herself onto bed and has over dramatic sob tantrum* I didn't know i was such a girly girl!

Darci continued to walk towards the tent again. Her long, slightly longer then waist length, black hair was getting pretty heavy with rain water. She shivered a bit. Her bandages were soaked through and so was her Nightgown, although the Silk was actually surprisingly warm for being drenched. Her feet were somewhat muddy from the ground, even though the few clean puddles she stepped in cleaned them every so often.

"Man, i really don't want it to hail..." She said, pouting slightly. She was only several minutes from the camp site when there was another loud clap of lightning. She jumped again and walked a bit faster.

"Darci? Darci where are you?"

She could barely hear the extremely faint sound of someone calling her name. Slightly ashamed of alarming them, which she presumed she did, she walked faster. It was easiest to spot her with her pale skin or her bright ruby eyes, anything else was either drowned out or... well... black. She took a deep breath and called out.

"Stupid! It's gonna hail soon! Get inside the tent or so help me....!" She continued to walk quickly towards the campsite. Unsure if the heard her or not. She looked down at the large mass of berries on her dress hem. "I hope they like them." she said, looking down at the mass, and more specifically, the three Spelon Berries.

Bang!

A clap of thunder caught her off guard and she jumped, nearly sending all the berries into the muddy soil. Instead and fell forewards and hit her forehead against a tree. It cut her just above the left eye. She straightened.

"Ooowwww." She whined. She continued to walk to the campsite, a slight pout on her face as she did. The rain washed the blood down her face, making it much worse then it really was. Besides, the face usually had a lot of blood, so really, it was like getting a bad paper cut.

DC was quick to follow Sora out of the tent. Or at least she would have been quick if her ankle wasn't wrecked. By instinct she had started to stand up in order to bolt after Sora, but she was quickly impeded by the swollen, pulsating pain, shooting from her toes up to her shin, that she had been so keen to forget about in the heat of the moment. Swearing under her breath, DC began to crawl towards the tent flap on all-fours. She could hear Sora calling for Darci out in the rain, and felt a fresh burst of pity for the young girl.

The rain pelted DC's emerging head like little bullets. It was even colder and more powerful than before, and she inhaled sharply as the freezing rain touched her skin. The forest around her was dark and sinister, illuminated only by occasional flashes of lightning. Judging by how closely the thunder followed it, the lightning wasn't too far away from their current location. Great, that's all we need. Now we're going to be electrocuted or have a freakin' tree fall on us. What a perfect ending to a perfect day.

Just then, DC thought she heard a voice other than Sora's out in the trees somewhere. It was possible that she was imagining things, but it seemed like it might belong to Darci. DC couldn't make out the words it was saying though, they were drowned out by raindrops striking the treetops and forest floor. Then there was a particularly loud clap of thunder, startling DC so badly that her hair seemed to stand on end. "Holy... Hey Sora, are you alright? Do you see Darci out there?"

Nature decided to answer DC's question before Sora could by producing a massive bolt of lightning that lit up the entire area. From the quick burst of light, DC could see a pale girl in a dark dress coming toward the campsite. DC would have been relieved, but Darci's face had looked all bloody. DC prayed it had been a trick of the shadows. Biting her lip, she called out, "Sora, I see her! She's coming towards you and she looks like she might be hurt! Can you help her out?" Then to herself DC muttered, "I would help too if I could walk. Curse this ankle, why do I have to be so useless?"

From the shadows, Sora heard another voice that sounded like DC's.

"Sora, I see her! She's coming towards you and she looks like she might be hurt! Can you help her out?"

Sora nodded, knowing she could not be seen in the darkness and rain. "Darci? Is that you?" She said, walking a little foward, being careful not to trip on anything like earlier. "Are you ok? DC said you were hurt." While walking on the muddy ground, she wasn't even sure she was going the right way, but as the forest was illuminated by a flash of lightning, she knew she was. She saw Darci, with her bloody face. "Darci are you ok?" She said rather loudly to be heard over the thunder.

"The tent is this way!" She said, probably sounding stupid because Darci put it there, but she just wanted to help who she hoped was her new friend.

Darci heard a small sound. A murmur of some sort but was able to make it out as speech. She strained to hear what was being said, her walking pace slowing just the slightest.

"Holy... Hey Sora, are you alright? Do you see Darci out there?"

A short pause...

"Sora, I see her! She's coming towards you and she looks like she might be hurt! Can you help her out?"

"Darci? Is that you?"

Darci smiled slightly.

"Yes. It's me!" She said, sounding particularly happy. She quickly approached them, able to hear them much, much better. There was blood washed down the left side of her face, avoiding her eyes since that was the eyebrow's main function in it's inanimate (and partially useless) life.

"Darci are you ok?"

She smiled brightly, tasting copper as some dripped watery blood from the side of her mouth into her open mouth. It really didn't bother her, neither was it that bad really.

"Couldn't be better!" She said, rainbows, bunnies, sparkles, and everything happy and cheerful emanating off her like rain from the skies. She ran to them, the large bundle of berries enclosed in the makeshift box called the front of her nightgown.

"The tent is this way!"

She laughed. It was like being outside in a snowstorm with Victor yelling at her to get her 'Stupid Idiotic Face' inside. She ran to them, smiling like the happiest idiot in the world. She quickly approached the tent and stood before them in all her bloody soaking glory.

"Hi guys!" She said, happy that she managed to her the berries for her friends.

DC stared, dumbfounded as Sora and Darci made their way back inside the tent. She herself had already scooted back inside and was drying off her hair with a small facecloth, holding Devil on her lap for comfort. Switching the flashlight on, her fears were confirmed. Darci's face was covered in blood. The girl didn't appear to be in any pain though. Contradictorily, there was a huge smile plastered to Darci's face and she appeared quite cheerful. OK, now this is just weird. Strangest damn night I've ever had. What is with the mood swings? DC shook her head and decided not to question it. After all, seeing Darci in a happy state lifted DC's mood considerably as well.

"Darci! What happened?" DC had originally intended to sound worried and serious, but Darci's good mood was apparently contagious. DC couldn't help smiling along with her. "You're bleeding," she said, very matter-of-factly, whipping out her first aid kit. "We'd best get the cut cleaned off and bandaged. Come on, get in here you two, you're drenched!"

DC pulled out some gauze, tape, and rubbing alcohol and motioned Darci over. "Umm... Are those berries in your dress?" No, it couldn't be. Nobody would go out in the middle of a monsoon to collect berries, would they?

Ugh, short post sorry. I'm in sort of a bad mood today so it's giving me writer's block.

On another note, do you guys want to have our characters go to sleep fairly soon and then have it be morning?

"Couldn't be better!" Darci said, like nothing had ever happened.

Sora was a bit puzzled by this response and followed the soaking, bloody Darci into the tent.

"Darci, I'm so glad you're ok." Sora said, letting out a sigh of relief. Even though she hadn't known Darci very long, she really hated seeing people get hurt, and was very glad she was at least semi-ok.

"We'd best get the cut cleaned off and bandaged. Come on, get in here you two, you're drenched!"

DC said to Darci. Sora nodded sharply. "She's right Darci, even if you claim to be ok, you look seriously hurt." Sora said with a concerned tone to her voice. "Why were you out there anyway?" She puzzlingly asked. She never really expected someone to go out into the pouring rain and darkness with no good reason. Soon she spotted the berries. ".." She opened her mouth to say something, but no words came out.

She went out just to get berries...? Sora thought dumbfounded. Is that what being a coordinator is like? You do anything for the condition of your pokemon? She thought, her mind going back to the question of whether she should be a trainer or a coordinator.

"Darci, I'm so glad you're ok."

"Me too!" She chirped, stepping into the tent.

"Darci! What happened?"

"I ran face-first into a tree!" She said, her hand reaching up to touch her face. She wiped off the thin watery blood and smiled. "'Tis a flesh wound!" She said, using a heavy british accent.

"You're bleeding, we'd best get the cut cleaned off and bandaged. Come on, get in here you two, you're drenched!"

"She's right Darci, even if you claim to be ok, you look seriously hurt."

Darci watched as DC pulled out some gauze, tape, and rubbing alcohol and motioned Darci over.

"Actually, it's probably not even half as bad as you think!" She said, about to go on a medical rant. She stopped herself.

"Why were you out there anyway?"

"Umm... Are those berries in your dress?"

"Well. I wanted to apologize for what happened by getting berries! look! I found Oran, Pecha, Leppa, cheri, Chesto, Rawst! Even Spelon berries!" She said, getting go of her dress and letting berries tumble onto the tent floor. Indeed, the named berries fell onto the floor. "I got Spelon berries for each of us!" She said, picking up two Spelon berries and handing one to each of her friends. "Take it! Take it!"

"Ee?" Darci's new Eevee looked up from his place on the floor to stare. It stood up and walked to the pile. Opening it's mouth, it bit into a bitter Rawst berry and went back over to it's place on the floor, starting to nibble on it. Darci got on all fours and went over to DC, waiting with a large smile on her face.

In Darci's next post, she's gonna fall slepp (practically pass out) So really, my next post is when Darci's gonna go to sleep. You guys can do the same i guess.

DC couldn't help but smile at Darci's fake British accent. And truthfully, the fact that she had managed to run face-first into a tree. "Well, I'll take your word for it. I suppose faces do bleed a lot, but it's probably best to clean it up anyway. Unless you want blood all over your blankets and tent." When Darci came over, DC gently cleaned the blood off her face with a towel and put a bit of disinfectant on a clean gauze pad. She then taped it to Darci's forehead. "There, that looks a lot better. It appears to be finishing bleeding, which is good."

When Darci released her dress, a variety of colorful berries spilled out onto the tent, like DC had expected. Both Cheepie and Devil's heads perked up. Cheepie darted over immediately, randomly selecting an Oran berry in her talons. She nibbled the lush, blue fruit with her beak. Devil was a little more cautious about approaching, but he came over to take a Cheri berry all the same, snatching the little red fruit by the stem and gobbling it up, savoring the spicy flavor. He looked up at Darci with wide eyes and wagged his fiery tail at her, as if to say 'thank you' in his own way.

"Wow Darci, these are great! Thank you!" DC gushed. She grinned at Devil. "Aww, look, he's warming up to you! That's a real compliment, 'cause he doesn't trust people easily." DC examined the funny looking berry that Darci had handed her. "What's this you say, a Spelon? I've never seen one of these before, but I've heard of them. They're pretty rare, right?"

DC yawned, stretching her arms idly upward and to the sides, the toes on her good foot curling. She looked around at Darci's various bandages and at her own swollen ankle. "You know guys, when we start traveling tomorrow, we're going to look like a walking hospital! Well, except for maybe Sora. You might want to get some injuries, or else people will think you're beating us up!" she joked, grinning wickedly. Despite her fooling around, DC was seriously wondering if she would even be able to walk tomorrow. Maybe they'll have to leave me behind... I'd hate to hold them back. But without a car or an ATV, or a Pokemon big enough to ride on, I won't be going anywhere very fast. She restrained the frown that her worries threatened to bring on, but she couldn't help wrinkling her brow a bit. After all, she didn't want to dampen the general good mood.

Sora smiled big at the british accent. It was nice change from the hurting and drama of earlier. She still was a bit confused at Darci's sudden mood changes, but since she was ok, Sora figured that was all that mattered. Sora realized she was still soaking wet. She didn't really mind though, she was happy that the mood around was nice.

As Darci let the berries spill on the ground, Leafy slowly walked over, as if to show she didn't know if she could take any. "Come on Leafy, it's ok!" Sora said, trying to encourage Leafy to be less shy. Leafy, hearing Sora, picked a Pecha berry and began eating it. Twiggy was a lot less shy. Twiggy ran up, picked a Chesto berry and took big bites out of it.

"What's this you say, a Spelon? I've never seen one of these before, but I've heard of them. They're pretty rare, right?"

"I can answer that." Sora said speaking up. "Those are Spelons, and they are pretty rare. It's lucky if you find any." Sora said. "I was studying berries and such before I left for Furoh, I'm thinking about becoming a coordinator. I'm still not sure.." She said, trying to hide that it was Darci that left her doubting.


"You know guys, when we start traveling tomorrow, we're going to look like a walking hospital! Well, except for maybe Sora. You might want to get some injuries, or else people will think you're beating us up!"

Sora playfully jabbed DC with her elbow and said, "Hey, I resent that!" She then laughed. Looking at DC's broken ankle she realized something. Will she be able to walk tomorrow?

Darci watched as the pokemon enjoyed the berries and smiled slightly. She let the words around her mix into a difficultly understanded jumble of syllables.

"Well, I'll take your word for it. I suppose faces do bleed a lot, but it's probably best to clean it up anyway. Unless you want blood all over your blankets and tent."

Darci gave a a goofy thumbs up and licked her upper lick clean of the thin layer of Crimson.

"There, that looks a lot better. It appears to be finishing bleeding, which is good."

Darci nodded, her eyes falling half closed. She looked down at the pokemon which were all jumbled together in a large mass of feathers and fur. Smiling lightly, she laid down, listening to the conversation around her.

"Wow Darci, these are great! Thank you! Aww, look, he's warming up to you! That's a real compliment, 'cause he doesn't trust people easily."

Darci nodded, letting the warmth from Torchic dry the side of her dress. She was careful not to touch the Fire-Type though.

"What's this you say, a Spelon? I've never seen one of these before, but I've heard of them. They're pretty rare, right?"

"I can answer that. Those are Spelons, and they are pretty rare. It's lucky if you find any. I was studying berries and such before I left for Furoh, I'm thinking about becoming a coordinator. I'm still not sure..."

Darci lost track of conversation as her eyes slid shut and she unconsciously grabbed the neatly folded silk sheet and spread it over herself, using her backpack as a pillow. She made a mental note to call her brothers in the morning. With one last completely random, almost inabudible, blathered word, she slipped into the gaping jaws of oblivion, to, tomorrow, emerge from the depths of unconsciousness with one of the worst headaches known to man-kind, like usual.

"Chopokobo..."

"Chopokobo..."

DC turned to Darci, who was sleeping contentedly with her head resting on her backpack. DC smiled and shook her head. "...Umm... I guess all of today's excitement has finally caught up to her," DC said to Sora, gesturing at Darci with her thumb. "Not a bad idea either. I don't know about you, but I'd like to do the same." Warm pain throbbed in her ankle, a reminder of the difficulties tomorrow would bring, and her eyes glazed over for a moment as she glanced at the swollen joint. "Sleep helps things heal anyway, or so I've heard."

DC gave a great, luxurious yawn, stretching her arms up as far as they could reach, grabbed one of the blankets and settled down on the ground. It took her a moment to find a comfortable place as before, but once she found it, DC could already feel waves of sleepiness washing over her. She curled up, her lithe body scrunched under the sheets. The leg that bore the injured ankle was stretched awkwardly to the side. Devil toddled over, his eyes half lidded with exhaustion, and flopped down beside DC's chest, falling asleep almost instantly. Cheepie, nestled into her feathers, was 'roosting' near DC's head.

Sleep, take two, was DC's thought as her eyes closed.

Another short one, sorry about that. I just didn't have much to work with, because everyone's supposed to be going to sleep and all. ^^

"Chopokobo..."

Sora turned her head to the noise, soon finding that it was Darci, her head lying on her backpack. She laughed.

"...Umm... I guess all of today's excitement has finally caught up to her,"

"Must of." Sora replied, yawning. "I'm a little tired myself." She grabbed her blue bag and put it under her head, taking out the blanket she packed. "Man am I glad I packed this..." She said stretching, getting ready to fall into slumber.

"Not a bad idea either. I don't know about you, but I'd like to do the same."

Sora laughed, wondering if DC even needed to ask if she wanted to sleep. "Me too, definatly, I'm worn out." She said putting her arms back down from what felt like a stretch to the sky for Sora. She saw DC looking at her ankle, and then she said,

"Sleep helps things heal anyway, or so I've heard."

"Yeah, I heard that too." Sora said, trying to reassure DC that it was going to be alright. She let out her pokemon, Leafy and Twiggy, who seemed almost as tired as she was. "Tur....twig.." Twiggy said lying down next to Sora's head, quickly claimed by the sand man. Leafy followed suit on the other side of her head. "Good night..." were Sora's last mumbled words, as she went to sleep.
