If a character's Pokemon is at the right level to evolve already (without the lvl 50 upgrade, of course), could it evolve outside the battle arena without the special level boost provided? Or is that a no-no, since this is an in-between RP's type of event?

Only if it would be able to evolve without the level scaling. Ie, a level 40 charmander could evolve, but a level 12 one could not.

Sorry everyone! I changed the first post rule so that each person's preliminary is only 1v1. I read Hunter's entry, and realized that I didn't change it on this thread! My bad!

For prelims, it's a 1x1 match, so you're good there. The next match could be a 2x2 if need be. Otherwise, Kamai can rng a pokemon for you.
