It seemed like a great idea in the "Member's Clubhouse", so we went ahead with it!

Welcome to the next Fanfiction Contest! Yaaaaay!

I brought up the idea of "Mottos" in the Member's Clubhouse after watching too much Game of Thrones. So at Dragonwish's suggestion (and the support behind it), it seemed like an excellent idea for a Fanfiction Contest.

So, we'll call it:

Fanfiction Contest: As the Saying Goes

Let's assume that your character has a motto, saying, slogan or catchphrase. I'm working off of the various Houses/Clans in the Game of Thrones world. For instance:

Those are some examples of the various phrases. They're used as battlecries, as threats, as boasts, etc. For instance, Robb Stark yells: "Tell him that Winter is Coming for him", which takes the motto and adds upon it.

I'd like you to imagine that your character possesses a motto. I'd love if you told the story of how they came to hold it, cherish it, use it, etc. Do they use it as a battlecry? Do they use it when they summon their Pokemon? Do they use it when boasting to a Gym/Hall Leader?

Just like the previous contest,
YOU ARE ALL JUDGING.

1.) One submission may be made per member. Choose carefully: The chosen character will be the one to receive the rewards. Prizes are non-transferable
2.) You may not use a placeholder. You'll be PMing your submissions to me, so don't PM me placeholders. I will put up all the entries shortly after the due date for voting. The entries will not be anonymous this time.
3.) This is a Human Character only contest.
4.) The contest will end at 11:59 pm on Tuesday, April 23rd. No submissions after midnight will be counted. This gives you two weeks.
5.) Grammar, spelling and syntax should all be correct. Once I put the stories up, you will no longer be able to edit them. Likewise, I'd prefer if you only sent me one copy of the submission, to make things easier on my end.
6.) Voting will begin shortly thereafter. Votes need to be in by 11:59 pm on May 1st. I'll announce the winners after that.
7.) YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO VOTE FOR YOURSELF.
8.) The contest is open to everyone with an active PANE profile.
9.) This thread is for questions, comments, snarky remarks and sarcastic digs, so please make use of it. Do not PM me with any of the above.
10.) I'll be the tiebreaker.
11.) Mottos are like haiku; they should sum up a lot with very few words. With that being said, I'd like no motto to be more than FOUR WORDS LONG.

The Prizes:

First Place: +15 Levels, and a TM/Move Tutor move for three of your pokemon.
Second Place: +12 Levels, and a TM/Move Tutor move for two of your pokemon.
Third Place: +9 Levels, and a TM/Move Tutor move for one of your pokemon.
Honourable Mention: +6 Levels
Consolation Prize: +3 Levels + Tissue

The TM/Move Tutor moves will not be under the restrictions that Pokemon normally face when requesting TM or Move Tutor moves from the Move Request Thread. For instance, if you wanted your Bulbasaur to learn Giga Drain, Charmander to learn Dragon Claw, and your Squirtle to learn Ice Beam, it would be totally cool and not fall under the restrictions we normally place.

And my Q: so no pokémon involved or just that the main character is a human? (presuming last one)

Also, for this one I'd prefer if the protagonist or POV is that of a human character.

Friendly suggestion: Make the title of your fic your motto to remove any ambiguity about what the motto is.

Yeah I know Latey-late smacker-style but I have two stories in case... Anyway, doe sit even have to be related with Pokémon and does it have an RPG-grade in any way (depending if I need to change some few things)

It's about your character, in this case...Jill Ariana, right? It doesn't have to specifically be about Pokemon, but since it's a Pokemon Roleplay, I figured it probably would.

Yes, there's an RPG Grade, as in bonus level points for your pokemon, as shown in the prizes.

That would work perfectly for me, as I had a change of heart last moment... I already have half of the story but schools getting there too and it'd be a shame to not enter again.
