Larvitar has been our favorite pokemon, as well as most desired, for a long time. Then Gible shows up and ruins that. Which one would you pick?

But seriously, Larvitar and its evolutions all look pretty badass. I don't see the appeal of Gible or its evolutions...

Both Larvitar and Gible are absolutely adorable, and I love both of their second forms, too, but my final choice is , because I'm not all that fond of Garchomp. I love Tyranitar so much more.

I'm on the larvitar side. It's whole family is just so cute, plus awesome in battle. I don't like the look of the gible family.

Wow, larvitar still got some fans. Nice to know people didnt get rid of the larvitar family for gible. But personally i like both. I dont hate garchomp, i just like larvitar because he was he since the beginning. Well not the Genesis of pokemon, but he was here for a while now. And everyone wanted him since they could get him when hoenn came around.

You guys all are wrong. Gible is so much better than Larvitar! Garchomp can learn Surf and Flamethrower. Guess who can't? TYRANITAR. Gible & company pwn, period.

Ttar can learn both.
And it learns ice punch, which fucks over garchomp.


(also special moves on garchomp suck, just btw. (ttar can pull them off though))

So? I like Garchomp, you like Tyranitar. i'm just pointing out some of Garchomp's awesome features, that's all. And everyone knows Tyranitar can learn the elemental punches.

Larvitar. T-Tar learns Ice Punch which PWNS Garchomp. Although I prefer Garchomp over T-tar.

Oh Larvitar by FAR. I really don't know what people see in Gible. It's about as appealing as Snubbull. Plus, Larvitar [eventually] = Tyrannitar.

look Ive played pokemon from the very begging
and all i can say is ttar sucks.. hes a fricken brick when it comes to speed, lvl 55 just to get the darn thing, AND pupitar is such a mess to train with, they don't learn anything good until like lvl 50 and ttar can get insta killed with a STAB from any pokemon he's weak against.

Where garchomp is a dragon and ground and ice is the only thing that kills him, anything else you throw at him his dragon type knocks it out of the water.

YES.
I've always loved Larvitar. I have a level 100 Tyranitar in Silver and I adore it. 3 Garchomp is overrated and overused and thanks to that it's been turned into a uber. :'C

Woot for my 200th post on GTS+!!! I think I'll go with Tyranitar. No, Garchomp. No, Tyranitar... Ugh, I can't decide!!! Gible is a Dragon, and when compared to all other non-legendary Dragons, Gible beats them. Larvitar on the other hand, everyone loves the thing because of it's moveset and etc. I guess Garchomp/Gible wins this round.
