Name: Darryn Kellor
Age: 17
Hometown: Celadon City
Appearance: Darryn is visually a classic jock. He’s slightly taller than average and is built strongly but not bulkily. To go with his lightly muscular physique, he has perfect glossy brown hair (around 5 inches long so it curls around his ears) with a reddish sheen styled expertly with three different products every morning. His eyes are a dark brown and contrast spectacularly with his pearly white teeth. :P
His clothes come from a designer closet of items that are hung neatly and in order of colour and warmth for best accessibility. Everything fits him extremely well, showing off his assets and making him look like he just stepped out of a catalogue.
Personality: Darryn may have the looks of a pop star, but the stereotypical image of an airhead is completely wasted on him. He is pretty intelligent yet falls far short of being a genius. Even so, he gets well above average grades at school and is hoping to study for a qualification in pokemon fashion and care.
Biography: Living in Celadon, Darryn was raised in a fairly average family. His father, an accountant, and his mother, owner of a catering business, raised three children in a modest four-bedroom home on the outskirts of town, two streets from the Pokemon Center. All three children had their own rooms but even so, they were inseparable.
Cleo, the oldest, was a budding Watcher who loved nothing more than to spend close on all of her waking hours at the Celadon gym, sketching and playing with the grass-type pokemon that lived there and chatting with the girls that trained under the high domed glass roof. Much to Darryn’s annoyance, however, he was not allowed in the gym unless making a formal challenge so had to accept the theft of his sister for hours at a time. Darryn was very close with his sister – she was the caring, understanding kind of girl who would listen rather than talk and she sympathetic ear was regularly borrowed by Darryn when he had a problem at school or a project that he needed help with. So, it was not implausible for him to develop a certain dislike for grass-type pokemon that manage to pry Cleo away from him.
The youngest of the three, Joey was what most parents would call a little monster. Not only was he as restless as an Aipom, but he was practically as noisy as a Loudred, shouting rather than speaking at any opportunity. Three years Joey’s senior, Darryn felt somewhat distant from Joey at times due to the kid’s immaturity and so often left the younger to his own devices.
When not with his siblings, Darryn usually attended Celadon High where he studied for Pokemon Behaviour, Pokemon Anatomy, Pokemon Nutrition and Fine Art. A peculiar combination but all four subjects were placing him on a straight course for an internship at Celadon’s most popular pokemon salon – Clarke’s.
It was his dream to learn everything he could about pokemon health and fashion so that he could help Co-ordinators and trainers alike in pokemon care in ways that breeders couldn’t dream of. Then he could arrange plans for his own salon that would one day rival Clarke’s and every other pokemon style organisation in the Kanto region.
The day that the Kellor’s decided to move to Furoh came not long after Darryn received his certificates from Celadon High upon graduation. His father’s job called for a relocation to Gigarte where he would be running the accounts for the pollution-control sector after the unfortunate events at Lenoilia.
Darryn had kicked up immediate fuss over this, demanding that he be left behind in Celadon to work at Clarke’s but his parents had insisted on his participation in the move. He didn’t he funding to pay for an apartment in his home city and the internship would not be paying enough for him to afford living away from home. His inevitable fate carried him from Clarke’s and to a town that completely lacked what he desired – lights, fame and fashion.
After months of grievous depression, Darryn’s opportunity to chase after his dream came in the form of spam mail in the morning post. A simple flyer, announcing the latest trainers to embark on their pokemon journeys in the city gave him the best opportunity to leave the organic fruit juice lifestyle he had been forced into and to chase after the glaring lights of his future.
Enlisting his sister and her partner pokemon, a Cherubi she had befriended in the Celadon gym, Darryn set about locating his first pokemon and leaving home. Much to his disappointment, the best his sister could do with her shockingly small amount of battle experience was an overweight Pidgey and a scraggy Caterpie. No matter his disappointment, Darryn decided to make the most of his first pokemon and gathered the accessories together that he needed for his quest, his dream still set firmly in his mind no matter how distant its realization seemed.

In an attempt to calm her down, Darryn has given Lady an Soothe Bell to wear but its effects are yet to truly be seen.
Since joining Darryn, Lady has gone from strength to strength and not only in battling. Her psychic ability has grown dramatically in Darryn's presence and her beauty has been bolstered by daily treatments from the Co-ordinator. <div class='quotemain' style='display:none;'>When Darryn caught his Eevee in Gigarte Park after battling with his Pidgey, his greatest beautification challenge so far presented itself. The Eevee had crazy-long hair that made it unidentifiable at first but a stylish haircut made it the most pampered puppy in Furoh. Not only that, but the Evolution Pokemon seemed to be incredibly childish and playful - walking into windows and tripping over his own feet were not unheard of. Since then, Romeo has battled on several occassions and proven its strength in different ways, including drawing out the power of his Egg Move - Swift.
When first taken to a Joy, Romeo was diagnosed with Canine Hip Dysplasia but his evolution inot a Jolteon seems to have repaired the disorder. On land, Romeo is the fastest in Darryn's team and his maturity has increased upon evolution to boot.

. Female. Tinted Lens. Level 17
First Appearance: Gigarte Park
Evolved from
during Gigarte Park
Evolved from
during Lenoilia Ruins
Current residence: Floaroma Town
Confusion // Supersonic // Ominous Wind // Stun Spore // Gust // Sleep Powder
Biography: India was a timid Caterpie when given to Darryn with a plethora of health issues. Treating her fungal infection while training her, Darryn realised she did not enjoy battling when she reached the Butterfree stage and also noted her comparative weakness within his team. As such, he had no problem sending her away to watch over his friend Mindy when she returned to Floaroma Town.
When Darryn went in for his first Contest, India was his only option for a Appeal Pokemon and so he called her back for the event. As it turned out, the Butterfree was an extremely talented performer - getting him through to the Contest Battle. After receiving his Ribbon, Darryn sent India back to Floaroma Town, promising to bring her back in the future.
Since Starfall Field, Darryn has taken to keeping India in his storage space at the Pallet Town laboratory.
November (click to showhide)
"November". Caught at the Ranch on the Arasam-Lenoilia Road. Repeat Ball. Female. Flash Fire. Level 40
First Appearance: Arasam Adventures
Evolved from
in Divide and Conquer
(Fury Attack) Take Down // (Flame Wheel) Flame Charge // Stomp // Hypnosis // Charm // Megahorn // Poison Jab // Fire Spin // Morning Sun // Inferno
Biography:Captured on a ranch between Lenoilia and Arasam, November was another project for Darryn's beautification skills. Her flames were dull when he was given her and she lacked the luster that all fire types should have. With that in mind she has been trained specifically for the bolstering of her beautiful flames and to give her a much-needed confidence boost. Recently, however, that has shown to have made the equine beast particularly vain.
Since Darryn decided that November was not cut out for battling, he has focused on her Appealing abilities, aiming to enter her at the Petropolis Contest Hall as his Appeal Pokemon. They have managed to create a dance routine that Darryn is confident will wow all witnessing the show. True to expectation, November's beautiful Appeal got Darryn through to the battling round where he won his second Ribbon. Deciding that November's time in the limelight has come to an end for the time being, Darryn has transfered her to his storage space at the Pallet Town laboratory.
Zulu (click to showhide)
"Zulu". Caught on Mt. Carello. Luxury Ball. Male. Mold Breaker. Level 30
First Appearance: Climbing Mt. Carello

Headbutt // Focus Energy // Take Down // Scary Face // Hammer Arm // Assurance // Ancientpower
Darryn rapidly befriended a wild Cranidos when he fell into an abandoned mine on Mt. Carello. The Cranidos led Darryn to the exit, only to be attacked by Team Deception. Not keen to battle, the Cranidos stayed in the background, watching as Darryn fought for their freedom. Deciding that Darryn was a caring and sharing soul, the Cranidos decided to go with him.
Despite having some pretty fearsome moves, blinding speed and excellent battle capability, it has been highlighted that Zulu is very lazy and does not enjoy battling. Since evolving, Zulu has become something of a powerhouse but rarely chooses to battle unless he becomes enraged with an opponent.

The Mirrormist at Twilight
Posted by: Living Arrow Apr 15 2010, 05:09 PM
PARTNER CHARACTER
Name: Lyla Moore
Age: 17
Hometown: Celadon City / Mauville City
Appearance: Lyla is what most people would call a classic cheerleader type. Curled blonde hair lies perfectly past her shoulders and her shoulders are in line with her hips, providing her a crisp hourglass figure. Her eyes are hazel and are always wide and bright above a naturally smiley face. She dresses very well, following her own motto “Respect your looks as you respect your health” and so must make the effort as long as she is alive and kicking. On hotornot, she is currently scoring a 9.4 – watch out, boys!
Personality: While fairly even-tempered, Lyla likes to have everything planned out meticulously and recorded in a little pink diary that she takes everywhere she goes. She even plans the week’s meals ahead of time and organises what time they should be to fit into her schedule of studying and Pokemon training. When something disrupts her plans, the little diary always makes an appearance for Lyla to re-arrange her life to the finest detail once more. This can be a problem in battles when he plans don’t work out as expected. She is a nice girl, friendly and polite, but would rather that her friends arrange appointments to be sociable, rather than drop in unexpectedly for a chat.
Biography: Growing up in Mauville city, Lyla watched many trainers come by and collect their gym badge from Mr Wattson and always wondered what a real gym match would be like. School, however, took her away from a training lifestyle until one day she took a wrong turn on the way home from school to investigate a strange crying sound. This led her to the Daycare center nearby where a myriad of adult and baby Pokemon were residing. Taking an immediate interest in the different pairings and wailing babies that arose from the multi-coloured eggs triggered her to factor studying Pokemon Breeding into her normal school studies. An opportunity to enrol at the Pokemon Academy on the Element Isles south of Johto arose when she graduated in the form of a local competition to draw out a strategic battle plan to submit to Mr Wattson for him to use in gym battles against specific types of Pokemon by using the only Pokemon that live in the Mauville gym. Lyla had tried very hard to make hers stand out, extremely excited about the possibility to learn all about Pokemon breeding like that she had seen in the local Daycare. As a special gift, Mr Wattson also included the donation of Lyla’s starter Pokemon – a bouncy little Plusle with an eccentric personality that causes all sorts of problems that disrupt Lyla’s various plans. As such, her diary has many scribbles since obtaining her Pokemon where changes have had to be made due to the electric-type’s antics.
After her time at the Pokemon Academy in the Johto region with a passion for Pokemon phylogeny, Lyla made her way back to the breeding center in Mauville City and was appointed their Lead Field Breeder to learn what she could about Pokemon lineage and the passing of certain egg moves between parents and offspring. As such, she has taken to expanding this research by tailoring her very own research team (detailed below).
By breeding, raising and training her research subjects, Lyla hopes to uncover the mysteries of Pokemon attack heritage.
Lyla’s current aims:To evolve her Skitty with the use of a Moon Stone so that she can attempt to breed the resulting Delcatty with another breeder’s Togetic to pass on the move Wish to a litter of Skitty for sale.
To discover the difference in attack capabilities in baby and evolved Pokemon – specifically in her Azurill – by recording before and after evolution.
To get Kaki to CALM DOWN.
Lyla has travelled to Furoh in search of a Moon Stone where meteorites have been said to have recently fallen on the isle of Fidona.
