Hoo-HOO...!
Greetings, everyone!

Our hearts flutter at the thought of this fun little event! Dust off those shovels, brushes and mattocks, because... we're going on an Archeology Adventure! Yes! Our nocturnal specialist at the Noctowl Museum can't wait to see the fine specimens you find (as long as they don't include Bug-Pokémon, eek!). Find enough bones, and we might even be able to put together actual Fossils!

Allow us to give you a detailed description of the event! Starting August 28th at 11:55pm EST (site reset), everyone will be able to find Fossilized Bones when hatching certain Pokémon (listed below). The event will run until September 13th at 11:55pm EST (site reset). If you've collected 15 Fossilized Bones, you'll be able to exchange them for a Fossil of your choice.

The following Pokémon might hatch holding a Fossilized Bone:There will be no new Fossil Pokémon added to the site for this event, but this is a great opportunity for all of you silly people hunting shiny Fossil Pokémon (looking at you PokéNOM, with your Fossil Archen hunt since 2012 shift.gif). Ah! I beg your pardon! I was about to go on a tangent there! Anyhoo, we're keeping our wingtips crossed for you!

You have our deepest gratitude for participating! Hoo!

Update: We've extended the event an additional 2 days, so it will end right as the SWSH begins on the night of Tuesday, September 15th, at 11:55pm EDT (server time).

OOOOOO!!!! This is different and I love it! Been shiny hunting fossil lileep for a long time. Hoping to get one from the event! Thank you!

Posted by: Kingis Aug 27 2020, 11:51 AM

Yay that's really exciting! Sounds like a lot of fun. Good luck everyone!

The owls! Always with the owls! srsfacts.gif
It's no Snom but this might be a nice opportunity for me to start a fossil hunt. Fossils are cool.

Oh, this is so cute! I like hatching events, and the fossils will make this one more challenging. Very cool!

we Animal Crossing now, huh

Cute event, though happy.gif

How long can we keep the Fossilized Bones for? Can we only redeem them during the event or will they be redeemable whenever? I'd love to shiny hunt a Fossil but don't have space in my Recorder rn

Since there are remains of most old event items in my inventory I would guess they would remain until any repeat of the event like Halloween candy.

This is a different event and I like the flexibility it offers regarding selection of any fossil.

Regards,
-TM

Sounds like a great event for people to pick up some shards! (not sure if I'm allowed to say which one lol, but all the fossils are primary type rock!)

Posted by: Oshcara Aug 27 2020, 02:10 PM

Can we maybe get bones for hatching the novelties too?

Yes, good idea, that makes sense! I'll include it in the 1st post, too.

Posted by: Pyotr Aug 27 2020, 02:54 PM

Yess!! Let's start those fossil hunts!

Posted by: SallyAnn Aug 27 2020, 07:06 PM

Aww, I thought it might be the release of Dracozolt, Arctozolt, Dracovish and Arctovish since they need fossil pieces.

Still looking forward to it though.

Great idea! If you do change your mind and add the new fossil types, know that we won't be upset about it! But looking forward to getting more shiny fossils! Kubuto and Lileep are done, now for the others. Going to be a relicanth breeder for everyone!

Posted by: Manticore Aug 27 2020, 10:50 PM

As long as we get a Blath-ahem *special* Noctowl, I'm down with this so hard lol.

Posted by: Kazz Aug 28 2020, 12:48 AM

Neat event! Looking forward to hatching a lot of eggs this weekend (hopefully lol).

Oh my gosh!! I love how this was presented! My two most beloved games combined into one fun event. lol.gif I love how this event was presented and I look forward to vying for as many fossilized bones as possible. And if a shiny is unearthed - all the better!

This is quite the laundry list of available Pokemon, too. Very sweet! I have been wanting a shiny Relicanth ever since I saw someone out here with it a loooooooooong time ago so this might be just the event where I dump a few shiny hunts in favor of adding a couple fossil ones instead.

This is turning out to be a great Friday. Yay! happy.gif Thank you, GPX!

Honestly? I kind of want to ask for this event to turn into an annual event because: YES, FOSSILS.

And also, the event looks like a GIFT FROM HEAVEN for all of us who want to hunt for sh. fossils!

So, idk, maybe think about it? -wink wink-

In fact, I'd suggest October 16th or around that time to commemorate the International Fossil Day, but that's just me

In any case, this sounds AMAZING!

The event has started at rollover!

Good luck and have fun, everyone!

This sounds like fun, a creative new event in which we ourselves can decide how much we want to put into it ^^

I've been hunting for shiny Tyrunt for four years, come the 4th of this month. crying.gif I feel called out. (It's not the Fossil version but STILL.)

Posted by: Darky Sep 13 2020, 08:30 AM

Zero shinies for me so far. But the event is so fun=)

How many bones can someone get in 2 days? Guess I'm gonna find out

Posted by: Rookie Roo Sep 13 2020, 08:55 PM

This feels like an early-Christmas present

Posted by: Pyotr Sep 15 2020, 08:15 AM

Are we gonna be able to use the fossilized bones in our inventories to obtain the fossils after the event is over? Or are they only gonna be usable until Sept 15?

Quick question/suggestion:

If its possible, wouldn't it be a good idea to add the Fossilized Bones to the list of items that you can get from the Underground?

Anyway, thank you so much for the Event! I had lots of fun grin.gif

Posted by: Kingis Sep 19 2020, 07:25 AM

Thank you very much for the fun event! Yielded some nice results and a lot of Bones so I'm curious to see what I get from them! (The Fossils, I mean.)

Oh drat, I totally missed this 'cause of playing primarily on mobile. This would've been fun!
