I checked the "Do Not Suggest" thread and didn't see this.
In an older suggestion, there was an idea to throw away or discard Trinket boxes and I thought I'd bring that up again. Why not create a way to forfeit or gift Pokechests without opening them? I'm thinking that a player can randomly gift or forfeit 5 Pokechests at a time for 1,000 points. Maybe make it a gamble? Perhaps call it Pokechest's Fate Coin Toss and create an Account Upgrade for a Magikarp Coin? Heads {Magikarp) makes 5 Pokechests get randomly gifted to someone else (in hopes the receiver wants them) Tails(the Pokeball) makes 5 Pokechests disappear The player has to call the outcome correctly but 1000 points are still deducted if the player chooses wrong. That way, they still have to spend points if they want something to occur. Or, if that is too much work to implement, perhaps Shaoo's suggestion (in the previously mentioned thread) about being able to gift a whole Trinket box to a mutual PalPad friend, only the ones of the same affinity? Maybe each would cost 1000 points to spend? If anyone has any opinions, I would like to see them. Most importantly, these ideas would need to be able to be used -without- opening the Trinket tab since doing that causes lag for people who have huge amounts of Pokechests.
