Starting now, capture requests and evolution requests may be posted here. All you need to include is:

Type of Request: Capture or Evolution?
1. The name of pokemon
2. Link to profile
3. Link to the RP (if any)
4. Where you plan on capturing (specific city and environment)
5. How will you catch it? (Keep it brief)
6. Link to Current Level post (to check levels)
7. Other: (Additional info may be put here)

Note that evolutions can use the same form. Replace "capture" with "evolve". Also, level up evolutions DO NOT require mod permission.

If you prefer privacy, you may still PM the mods.

Please Note: The term "Capture" is used generically for any way to acquisition a pokemon that is new to your team. So the rules for a capture also apply to trades, gifts, thefts, and self-capturing pokemon.

3.The RP I'm going to capture her in is nonexistent at the moment but its going to be the next one I make. It's going to be about both pokemon and people mysteriously disappearing in the woods outside of Barley and when my character goes to explore she figures out it is a Stantler that is causing the disappearances by using hypnosis on them and causing them to fall asleep, become confused, and get lost.
4.Going to be captured outside of Barley in the forest, but it is also possible she may be caught on the road to petropolis or Gigarte
5. A battle. I hve't really planned out the specfics of it yet.
Other: This Stantler is going to be between Lv. 7-10 and it will be a gal.

This looks alright. To add to this, maybe the stantler drags the sleeping victims to a different location, causing them to become lost. The stantler could be trying to put people in a comfortable place (after accidentally putting them to sleep)... or may find it funny to cause people to get lost (after putting them to sleep on purpose). I'll leave that up to you .

I realise that I have already asked a mod about this particular catch and have been approved; however, I have changed a few things in regard to catching said Pokemon and what condition it would be in prior to the capture. If this is not allowed, please remove this post.

Capture location: The port town of Barley; in a small plot of open land belonging to the Trainer School for overnight stays.
Capture details: The Vulpix will most likely be caught after a brief battle with Waker's Ekans.

Other: As noted before, the Vulpix will be of a Quiet nature at level 15. What I have changed from the first form is that the Vulpix is injured - a small sprain, perhaps, on its left foreleg that makes activities such as walking or running difficult for it. This will be elaborated more on in the RP itself - as Vulpix are rare, especially in town such as Barely, this particular one couldv'e been a young child's plaything that was injured by either the child (accidentally) or another one of the child's Pokemon.


I understand completely if this will be rejected now that I have added onto it; but seeing as how Waker is about to undergo a rather huge 'coming-of-age' thing in the next few RPs and change his life goals, a Pokemon with a slightly less-happy past would help flesh out his new personality.


(by the way, I am loving the Seel of Approval. Very clever.)

Back on topic, I'll allow this. If growlithe can be caught in Barley, then vulpix is not too much of a stretch, especially if it was once a pet. It makes more sense this way. Works for me. Which means this request gets...

An Igglybuff manages to find its way onto one of the ferrys traveling to Barley, and as the boat reaches its destination, the Igglybuff trips from the motion on the ship, causing it to bounce off the ship (XD) and fall into the water, where it gets swept towards shore by the current.

Yes on the gastly, but I'd like to stick with current gen movesets. However, since night shade's damage is based on level, I don't think it would be too overpowering to have. You'll have to wait on curse though.

5. Alex will weirdly decide that Stryk (his Starly) should deal with the problem. While she does lower the HP considerably, she takes too many hits so Alex calls her back. He sends out Treecky (Treecko) reluctantly, who obeys whilst sulking. Then Alex throws the Pokeball. Success!

4. In the warehouse district of Barley, in the black market's hide out when trying to rescue Shadow. Most of these pokemon are wild, though one or two are trainer's pokemon. One of the men running or working in the warehouse will force the pokemon into their path, and in its fright will attack.
5. Entrito will fight it first, but will be recalled before he is taken down. Aimi will be sent out, and Ryazi will attempt to use a poke ball on it. When that fails, Aimi will weaken it a bit more, before Ryazi catches it with her second pokeball.

Your average level is 7, so it can be a level 7 aron. The aron won't be able to use Dragon Rush until level 36. This is comparable to basic dragons, so it's fair. Besides, if it knew Dragon Rush, don't you think that would knock out most of your pokemon?

I am fine with Dig. It should know all the other moves normally.

Aron is part of the Pseudo-legendary group, meaning I want to see one hell of a battle. I expect a struggle, maybe even one of Crystal's pokemon gets knocked out as a result.

Keep in mind that at level 30, those level modifiers kick in. See the first page of RP Grading for details.

If those things are followed, then I will approve it.

Sorry for interupting to add my two cents in... seeing how Aron is Steel and your plan of attack is Tackle, I would see Aron just standing there, taking the blows as they don't do a lot against Aron...

Is it allowed to do two requests at once? Like, cos I'm going to catch two Pokemon in the next RP. They're gonna be spread out over it, I just wanted to get this stuff over and done with.

5. Alex knows a lot about type matchups, so he'll send out Stryk the Starly. She will use Wing attack and Peck once each, and then Alex will throw the Pokeball and he'll catch it.

First, the natives you plan to encounter are NOT the Furites. As said in the wiki, the Furites disappeared well before the Founders arrived. You may have some sort of natives who happen to live in Furite ruins, but not the Furites themselves. This isn't the place to talk about that, but I needed to say it.

For your requests, you could have two, but I can't assign levels until you get your RP graded and distribute new levels accordingly. Riolu can have Iron Tail, but I'd really like it if he waited until evolution to use it. Eevee may have shadow ball but can't use it until around level 30 (when some ghost types learn it).

After the attack, her copy begins to change, and takes on its true form: Ditto.

I understand if I have to wait awhile to get one, but I figured the plot for this upcoming RP would make a good excuse for the trickster Pokemon to make its appearance. I'm not sure what you mods would consider its rarity to be either, as I know in Gen I and II it was a rather common occurrence (same with Emerald) and it became rare in Gen IV.

Plus I figured that a Ditto would be rather fun to have RP wise (with the chance for shenanigans on Tyson xD)

Approved for Gastly. It cannot know Energy Ball until the mid twenties at least. (Precedence sets it lower than the Bulbapedia markers, which is 43+)

5. Mike's on his way to check out the pokemon center in the city, and ends up taking a shortcut. He accidently slips on a wet painting which ends up being a nearby smeargle's recent territory mark. The smeargle paints mike's face and jets. Mike persues and engages in a battle after the smeargle decides to fight back. (It's 'his' territory, supposedly.) Mike's mankey wins and Mike throws an ultra ball at Smeargle while feeling victorious. The ultra ball is successful.

Smeargle Guy - I'll approve this capture. However, Sketch is easily abused as a move. Please don't have him sit in a gym taking in Earthquakes and Fire Blasts etc.

Ice Fang is already slightly overpowered but it has been allowed as an exception this time (learned at level 16 as lowest possible level-up, discounting Heart Scales) as a good will gesture, with the hope that Sketch isn't misused.

How will you catch it?: It shows up at the beginning of the roleplay, and may have several cameos during it. He doesn't really catch it, as the pokemon just follows him to the end. Despite being scared of it, Reino will feel bad for it and allow it to enter a pokeball.

Level of capture is based on the average of your team, so I'll approve of a Lvl. 7 Murkrow. I can't approve Nast Plot because there isn't any way Murkrow can learn it.

5. Castor will be in a forest, at night. The Shroomish himself is a bit lost and angry and because of that, he attacks Castor. After a quick battle with his Charmander, the Shroomish is defeated. Castor becomes interested in the shroomish's spunk and decides to catch it.

7. If possible, is it okay for the shroomish to have Bullet seed? Even though the average level of pokemon that learn it is about 20ish. I really only want to use it since Shroomish doesn't really learn any reasonable attacking moves between level 1 and 13.

A level 14 Shroomish (level based on your team average) actually has plenty of attack options: Absorb, Tackle, Stun Spore, and Leech Seed. Three more levels, he'll learn Mega Drain.

I will allow Bullet Seed at level 18.

5. Summary: While Pan is taking a break, she sets her backpack on the ground. That’s when a greedy little cleffa attempts to raid Pan’s supplies, specifically anything edible. When she moves to take Turnip’s food, that’s when she crosses the line. The ivysaur apprehends the felon, giving her a spanking and a treatment of sleep powder. Pan, thinking she can tame the cleffa, captures her for safekeeping.

Malcolm will realise the hopelessness and will intervene with Pikachu, leading to him befriending the Togepi whilst (unsuccessfully) trying to find a home for it.

Our rule of thumb here is that the offspring can use the move when the father could, but Sneasel only learns it through breeding. Crush Claw is approved at 22 at the earliest.

Frustrated, the rich kid disowns the Buneary and tosses the Pokeball aside. Raine, valuing Pokemon over people, quickly adopts the Buneary as his own.

Headbutt is fine, but there is no way Torkoal can learn Body Slam. Other moves are fine at that level.

Approved @ Lvl. 9. Though you'll receive the pokemon at the end of the RP, it will still be before you receive new levels. Plus, the mods assign level based on current level average of your team.

Port Barley is a port... And so a haven for water-type Pokemon. There aren't any forests *in* the town. If you want an Eevee, it'll have to be found somewhere in the town - maybe eating out of bins?

As long as you sort out a believeable location for its capture, it's approved.

Woah woah woah! NOT approved. Larvitar is the base form of a pseudo legend and as such previous requests from relatively new trainers have been postponed. i.e. yes, you can make the capture but not in your first roleplay. To avoid any form of bias, this capture cannot take place until Raven's second roleplay.

That said, however, I am more than willing for the Larvitar to follow Raven until the next roleplay since you are definitely a good RPer. Think of it as a Mijumaru-type capture (for those of us who are watching Best Wishes).

I did read through -all- of the requests, including the request for a Larvitar on the previous page, (so as I knew what not to do) however, I figured that with such a severe disability in regards to the Larvitar's deafness, that the pseudo-legendary status would somehow be equalized. As for the eggs, they hatch at Lvl. 1. They've just hatched after all. It was silly in Gold and Silver, and it's still a bit silly.

Loch Ranch can count as a qualified breeder, so I guess it's alright. They'll be taking care of eggs while the Safari Zone works on their own hatchery rennovations.

Both eggs are approved to hatch @ Lvl. 1.

@ Luke: PM a mod for Team Deception use approval, preferably Living Arrow (he did create it after all).

How you will catch it: Thomas is quite a skilled coordinator plus he's a lucky person naturally. He will basically get into the semi finals of the contest. He will win his semi final and make it into the final. he'll do his best but lose to the winner. The judges present him with his egg which will hatch later in the RP into a Male Pansear, shortly after leaving the Amazonian natives and heading back to the actual city. He will get a Fire stone here but WILL NOT USE IT until much later.

Inside is a very small selection of shiny poke'mon, with price tags ranging from $50,000 to $500,000. She notices a beautiful black and white Vulpix for a scant $17,000, and realizes that it has been discounted because it is blind, and will soon be transferred for a suspicious sounding "relocation", if it is not sold within the week. Raven purchases it, writing a check. Raven has yet to discover that this poke'mon's odd coloration is due to a genetic mutation which has concurrently led it it's blindness.

Approved at level 10. Iron Tail, as a 100 Base Power move, is unusable until level 29, which is the lowest level that it can be naturally learned by any Pokemon. The extra foot is unacceptable, but Scary Face is approved for use at capture.

As a side note, I'd actually prefer you read your posts in this thread - and in PANE as a whole - for grammatical accuracy and proper punctuation. If you can not muster the will to proof-read, maybe this place isn't right for you.

She'd been playing with the idea of adding an electric type pokemon (or she will be when the RP begins, it's hard to actually say she is when her thoughts haven't officially begun), and the light electricity will make her want to catch it.

After the quick barrage of attacks, Chris will attempt to catch the Carvanha off guard with a quick Poke Ball throw, but to no avail. After one more tackle, Chris will make a second attempt and succeed in the capture.

It's nitpicky, I know. Just change Pond to "River", simply because Carvanha are mostly found in Rivers, Estuaries and the sea, kinda like a saltwater pokemon. Sharpedo in a pond is just terrifying.

Unfortunately, in the RP the Sharpedo encounter in the pond has already happened, so it's a bit hard to change that detail. Both the characters in the RP did note that it was exceedingly strange to find a Sharpedo there, and I think it's safe to say that both of them were more than a little nervous when they realised what had been hooked. I'll happily change the Carvanha side of things however, since finding more than one member of that evolution line in a pond would be more than a little strange indeed, even if the pond does have an adjoining river, which it does in this RP, which I suppose makes it not even a pond at all.

Well, if it's already happened, then there's no changing it now really. But yeah, upon reading it, it's still a pond. But ponds can be pretty big, so long as they're smaller than lakes. So...go for it. You're still approved at Level 7.

@ Pokefan: I'm hesitant on this one. Archen is one of the pseudo-legends, which we usually don't allow captures of until after the character's first RP is done. Since you're doing two RPs at once, I'm stuck as to what to do.

No on telepathy. With a few exceptions, most pokemon capable of such things can use moves like Psychic or Extrasensory via level-up or egg moves. Besides, being a dark type, he would be immune to telepathic replies, which would make them pretty one sided conversations :P.

Alex finds it in the end after it was taken by a stray Growlithe, saving it as it does. when Alex returns it, the clothes maker sees its new attachment to Alex and lets him keep it.

FlyingMew: Denied. Absol has a capture rate of 30, meaning its not easily captured. I fear it would have to be battled first. Also, Fury Cutter is a Move Tutor Move, which would make no sense as to why a Wild Absol has learned it.

@ Xpedential: I'm not terribly fond of how easy James is able to get a dragon pokemon. However, I'm going to assume the maxed-out credit card serves some sort of plot device to be used in another RP. How would a newly hatched pokemon have the experience of a Lvl 15 pokemon? Hatched pokemon start at Lvl 1, and combined with the relative ease of the capture, this is approved @ Lvl 1. Earth Power is a powerful move, so you'll have to wait till Lvl. 40 to use it to its fullest. Finally, level modifiers kick in @ Lvl 50.

@ FirePower: Approved @ Lvl. 9. Agility can be used immediately.

Make those captures quickly. We'll be moving on with the RP this weekend.

Electrike approved at Level 15

Unfortunately, Thundershock is simply not his Electrike's Repertoire, in any way, shape or form. Electrike learns Spark at Level 20, which is also an Electric Attack.

If you really want, Electrike can have shock Wave as an egg move, usable immediately, but that will place a restriction on your pokemon's heritage as a result.

Hmm.... I've just realized something. I've managed to change the Pansear from the Egg for Tom into the original Drilbur.... completely because I have rubbish memory and didn't think of coming back to check... I'm guessing that that's now OK [It was denied because at the time Drilbur wasn't allowed as a Pokemon in PANE]? If that's the case, will I need to repost the form? he won't have any egg moves.

It's just that I've already introduced it as Drilbur in every single one of my Starfall Field posts concerning him.

While I understand that the Pokemon World is a farfetched thing on its own, your story is pretty out there. I don't think having breeders that breed pokemon at Level 15, even if that is their unique selling point, makes any sense, and on top of that, the likelihood of him getting to the ditch as a baby (albeit a level 15 baby), then frozen solid in a mythical place only to be luckily found.

I think you could modify this story in many ways, in order to make it more believable.

So, denied for now.

Gible, and ultimately Garchomp, is considered a pseudo legendary Pokemon, and we typically don't allow that sort of capture while you're still in your first roleplay with this character. Pokemon like Larvitar, Gible, Dratini, etc, are typically not allowed this early on in your character's journey in Furoh.
