The Pokémon movie Giratina and the Sky's Bouquet: Shaymin (Giratina and the Sky Warrior) broke a Guiness record, by selling 2,384,198 tickets before its release in Japan in 2008 and the certificate of "Greatest advance sales for an animated film" was given in the TV show Oha Suta

because of the event not the actual movie. people are getting tired of the movies. the events at the movies are what sell.

some of the movies are actually not that bad, and anyway it probably was for the movie. You do know how popular pokemon is in Japan right?

Its just cause of the events you get for pre-booking a ticket. Then again, it is Japan, and they're pretty Pokemon mad, so I can see that this would have been a fairly big deal over there, even if over here it would be lucky to get a DVD release.

I have seen it 2-1/2 times on Cartoon Network now. Personally I dont think it was the best of those I have seen so far, but it wasn't bad either. Shaymin is cute to look at, but it's personality was rather annoying.

It was a Regigigas for Pokemon Platinum. Also, I think some of the movies were good. For me, Dawn kinda lets the movies down. Ash is ok, and Brock is dealable. Misty made the movies funny and enjoyable to watch, mostly because she triggered Ash into being funny too.

Yeah, the Lucario ones were good...better before Dawn, by far.
