The hunt is now over!

Congrats to all participants and winners! Being that we just introduced two new novelties last month, we decided against doing a new one for this month. However, in light of the fact that a large number of users missed out on the Dreidel event last month, we've given all SWSH winners one as a prize this month. See y'all again in March, yup yup!

First of all, we're making a slight change to how user group promotions work. Starting now, in addition to posting 10 times to promote from Newbie to Member, you may also do so by unlocking all the "Newbie" achievements in the base achievement set. Anyone who has already met these requirements should promote immediately.

In light of issues that came to my attention at the end of the last voting period, in November, as well as qualms I've had with the voting system for a while now, the voting system will work a little differently from now on. First, in order to prevent people from registering multiple accounts in order to rig the vote, you'll no longer be able to vote for the SWSH if you registered after the poll opened, have not validated your account, or are still a Newbie. Second, in order to inhibit tactical voting, the vote totals won't be published until after the vote has closed.

Moving forward, you'll be able to vote from within your Shine Recorder, choosing up to three Pokemon (providing they meet a few requirements, as outlined in the Shine Recorder). You can change this vote at any time up to the point that the vote closes, and once the vote closes, the three Pokemon with the most votes will be used for the hunt.

You'll be able to start voting immediately - the vote will then close on January 12th at Reset (11:55 PM server time). Following its closure, signups for the hunt will open, and the hunt will officially start the following night (January 13th) at Reset (11:55 PM server time), and run until the end of the month.

As always, please read the help section prior to signing up for the hunt. It is your responsibility to understand how it works, and you won't be compensated for your ignorance.
