This is a thread to do with sad moments within games, normally it's someone dies, but how did you feel?

I was shocked to find out that Shepard was evil in CoD Modern Warfare 2 (i play it on my cousin's Xbox).

Actually, Lucas's brother died, Though their mother died at the beginning of the game.

I think I cried at the end of Kingdom Hearts 2... it's just all this reunions and the little quotes of life that come up which made me cry xD

When I was playing KH: 358/2 Days, at the end. Defeated Xion, sad cutscene ensues. Except when Roxas goes "Who will I have ice cream with?!" Then I cracked up.
Also, Mother 2/3, the ending of PKMN Ranger: Shadows of Almia, when little Luma leaves Mario near the end of Mario Galaxy, and Yume Nikki (some areas are sad).

EDIT: How could I forget the endings of ALL THE PROFESSOR LAYTON GAMES *headdesk*

I almost cried in PMD 3. Almost. i spoiled it by looking on bulbapedia... Very Sad!!!

I definatly also cry in PMD2 (PMD3 is bascially a upgrade of PMD2), when the main character starts the go. the music, and the way the character's faces's look, really made me say 'No! don't get erased from time itself!'

I finally got my hands on a copy of Sonic Adventure 2: Battle, and I finished it around a week ago. ): The ending was so sad... It made me cry a little ;-;

I bawled on PMD1 at the part where the team has to become fugitives. The music was so sad. I almost bawled on PMD2 at the end. I didnt because I knew Dialga would bring me back

Fire Emblem 9 when Greil dies. Reminded me of Lion King lol. Father/son relationship ended by a villain. Ike was so tough about it, but I know I'd be a mess if I had to carry my parent's dead body back to the fort.

Spyro Dawn of the Dragon at the end. I thought Spyro died. Out of the three I've posted, this one got the most waterworks out of me. I played Spyro before I played Pokemon, the little dragon has a permanent place in my heart.

I played A New Beginning on GBA and The Eternal Night and Dawn of the Dragon on wii. Beat them all. I love the songs that play at the end of The Eternal Night and Dawn of the Dragon...This Broken Soul and Guide You Home respectively.

How is that sad? If you don't consider the fact that Navi is SO FREAKIN ANNOYING, that part is happy. Link was the only person in the village without a fairy you know.

Oh my God! That was honestly the saddest scene I've ever seen in a game ever. The saddest part is that Roxas won't even remember Xion, one of his only true friends in the Organization. T_T
And the ice cream quote, I thought that was out of place too...but then I saw someone's interpertation of it, something like "Roxas thought a friend was someone who you could have ice cream with, so it would be kind of like him saying, who else would will I be friends with?" and it just made me feel even sadder.

Ugh yes, that was so sad at the end...and afterwards when it played the cutscenes of you and your partner...I couldn't stop my tears.

Above are the only two moments in games that made me cry. Think of that what you will.

The ending of Shadow of the Colossus (sp?) was downright depressing, and I never even played it! Heck, that whole GAME seems downright depressing from what I know.

Same with Mother 3 and Spyro: DotD, never played either of them (well in DotD's case, never finished it), but the endings seem so sad! D=

The final operation on Trauma Team for the Wii. I had to operate on my favorite character in the game and just seeing what the disease did to the heart was heart-breaking. When I had to stop the heart to excise the main body of the disease was even worse, I was crying enough beforehand. The cutscene before it was also making me lose hope of saving her because when one of the doctors asked what was her condition, she said that it didn't look good. After the operation I was crying tears of joy because not only was the disease eradicated fully, it also got rid of her genetic disease.

Hands down that two saddest moments for me were: (these are kinda spoilers)



1. When Nanako dies in Persona 4. Expectantly if you get the bad ending.
2. When all of your teamates die in Digital Devil Saga 2.

UHMIGOD! How did I forget the ending to FF7: Crisis Core?!?! One of my favorite characters ever dies! T_T
