I was wondering, kind of like some real life creatures, can pokemon cross breed? For example... Say that a Mightyena and a Houndoom lurve each other. Can they boink and have beautiful cross-breeded behbehz?
(Translation: Mightyena and Houndoom mate, can they create a sort of hybrid?) I mean, it seems like it would be possible, although difficult. Besides; they are both pretty much the type basic shape and base, so it seems it would be possible. Not saying this would be possible with all matches. Like Eevee + Squirtle = NO. Just for similar things like Houndoom + Mightyena or Delcatty + Glameow. Just adding on that they also might not be able to evolve. Just a Houndoom + Mightyena making a mix of the two. (not a half poochyena half houndour.) My question is; IS IT POSSIBLE? This post has been edited by Ceilni: Aug 31 2009, 05:05 PM -------------------- Ahem... Er... Click please? It might be. It's not in PANE. We are following the main three games' guidelines for breeding.

So, a Luxray and a Eevee can breed right. Will it be the female is what the egg hatches into?

That is correct. The mother determines the species. Egg moves come from the father.

Where would we take them to be bread? do we have a daycare, or do we just throw them in a field and come back an hour later, or what?

Necropost, but I'll allow it because it's a question.
Breeding is not an overnight process. Every day-care breeder in the games has been old. This means that it takes years of commitment to create the right environment necessary for proper breeding. The green-aproned Pokemon breeder trainers are likely children of those day-care progenitors. Pokemon won't just STUDY THE BIBLE because they're in daycare for a couple of hours. It takes compatibility and other things that sound like an eharmony ad for things to get cooking. In other words, your Pokemon won't be STUDYING THE BIBLE together anytime soon. -------------------- |
