3DS Global Link will shut down for Ultra/Sun and Moon on Feb 24th 2020.
A Special Gigantamax Eevee/Pikachu is available in Sword/Shield if you have Let's Go Eevee/Pikachu, respectively.
A Special Gigantamax Meowth is available in Sword/Shield via mystery gift if you purchase the game before January 20th 2020
A Special Jangmo-o and Larvitar raid battle will be available to anyone who purchases the Sword/Shield doublepack
A Special Butterfree raid is available from now until January 15th in the Wild Area.
A Special Gigantamax Snorlax max raid battle will be available in dens in the Wild Area from December 4th until early January.
*NEW* A Special Magikarp raid with an increased chance of having a shiny Magikarp is available until January 3rd.

I'm seeing some really fun explorations up so I think imma perhaps attempt one of those
I also like how they're keeping Sw/Sh interesting even after beating the game and completing the dex

Nah, it doesn't concern 3DS online features outside of tournaments, and i think ranked matches.
It's an end of the era regardless, even though i hardly used Global Link after Dream World got axed.

That's just a result of lag causing you to be able to grab too many things at once; just remove some of them from your party and the limit will go back to 6.
