[Master Houndoom]

Jaima sighed at the blue haired woman sitting across the table from him. He didn't know how many times he could go over this, let alone how many times she'd ask.

"No, ma'am, I've never met the man before. Yes, ma'am, Tuesday has, but it wasn't exactly pleasant for her."

Jenny tapped her pen on the pad. "And Tuesday is the little girl."

"Yes, ma'am." Jaima's eyes drooped. "Why are we going over this again?"

Jenny smirked. "Mr. Kuonji, if that's your real name," she began, and Jaima's brows shot up. "We recovered three people who claim that you and your little band of... Friends," the last word was drawled out, Jenny's brows raised almost to her hairline, "attacked them."

Jaima sat back. He had to fight the urge to yell, and then the urge to cry. "Weren't you there?"

Jenny shrugged. "I wasn't. One of my cousins was. But I've seen the other three's pokemon. Pretty bad shape. Who would willingly do that to their pokemon?

Jaima's mouth opened, but the door opening interrupted him. There stood a woman in many ways identical to the one sitting across the table from Jaima. The only difference was that her face was slightly older.

"What's going on here," said the new Jenny, with an air of confusion.

"I'm interviewing one of the principals in the Mount Carello case."

The older Jenny looked around. "Cousin... This is an interrogation room." When the younger Jenny nodded the older pressed on, her voice taking on a hint of incredulity. "This young man was one of the victims, not one of the suspects..."

The younger Jenny's eyes narrowed. "Or maybe that's what he wants us to think!"

Both Jenny the older and Jaima stared at her, blinking. Then the older woman smiled at Jaima. "I'm sorry for the inconvenience, Mr... Kuonji, right?" When Jaima nodded, she motioned him out the door. "You're free to go."

Jaima stood, glancing back at the other Jenny. She looked disgruntled, but pointed at her eyes with two fingers, then at him with the same two. The meaning was clear. 'I'll be watching you.'

He stepped out of the station, blinking in the bright sunshine. There was Tuesday, reading a book, Darryn, looking slightly impatient, and Meiko, looking ready to storm the station.

"What's going on," Meiko cried as soon as Jaima appeared.

"Evidently one of them is convinced we were the bad guys." He chuckled. "We're Team Rogue, or something"

Meiko patted his arm. "Well, let's get some rest. I'm sure our teams are ready now, and I want to use the PC before the night's over!"

"What's next, Jaima," asked Tuesday, quiet but strongly enough to be heard by all of them."

Jaima looked down at her, then shrugged. "Rest, sleep, food, then we'll go scope out the gym. I want to try for another badge."
