Well, I only watched two episodes of this new series and I like it already. (They brought back Who's that pokemon! 
) But then I realized something caught my eye. Jessie and James are actually acting like trained super agents. They fell in a pit trap and LAND At the bottom. They have smoke bombs and retreat when things get to bad. Not blast off, but retreat like an expert strategist. Where did the stupidity go? Have they always ben like this?

I was amzered too, maybe four regions of stupity was enough.

They were smart when the anime first began, in my opinion. Then the producers basically turned them into the comic relief. However, they've always been smarter than Ash.

Consider how many team rocket diguise that fooled ash. Sometimes they don't every change their hair styles.

Writers wanted Team Rocket to have more of a plot in the story this time around, so Jessie, James, and Meowth got a change. They didn't change completely though.
I like it, I liked Team Rocket before too but this is a nice change.

Seems like it wasn't meant to last though. In the recent episodes in Japan they've switched back to their White uniforms and seem to be operating on their own terms again.
They still have the hi-tech stuff from before this though...

They go back to their white uniforms and previous goal because they've been discharged. Not sure for what reasons.

Discharged? Why now lol after all the constant failure to the goal of Team Rocket? Have they actually ever gotten any pokemon to Giovanni? (I think I spelt his name wrong) .
I still can't believe they're still after Ash's Pikachu. They have gotten smarter but like in the other topic, it's like they are taking Ash's intelligence.
I was really bothered by the episode in the Sinnoh League where they were trying to help Metacross and Ash just runs in ignoring them to save the pokemon. Team Rockets was really trying to help but was caught up in the ice and was blasted off. They didn't deserve that 
. They were helping to try to recruit the pokemon but still could have helped.

Well, discharged from their mission, I mean. They're still in TR, to my knowledge, but something happens that causes Giovanni to pull them off their Unova region, hence why they change from their black uniforms back to the old white ones.
As far as Pikachu, I think they claim it's the "strongest Pikachu in the world," but all the same, a Pikachu? Come on, there are so many better Pokemon you can go after. It's like Pikaderp forgets how to fight each time they go to a new region anyway.

Pikachu probably was the reason why Team Rocket failed during their mission in BW023 and BW024. Those episodes were postponed due to the Earthquake. That probably made them want Pikachu again since it was able to stop their plans(Maybe Team Plasma's too since they were in the episode).
Overall, it's the plot that keeps them going after it.

At first their stupidity was funny and it still is. That have so much determination for trying to snatch rare pokemons for Giovanni and they can be kind sometimes. At least they are much better than Cassidy and Butch.

Team Rocket were foolish and proud, yet stupid in the beginning. They grew in brightness at a speed of 1% each region. In the Unova, however, that changes. They get a new outfit and become much more clever, though they keep their foolishness and a trace of their stupidity when it comes to their goals.
WHY. DO. THEY. STILL. WANT. PIKACHU. It forgets that by now it should be a lvl 80 pikachu, killing everything in it's path. It can't fight in the beginning, and it overall is a waste of time. Team Rocket has seen so many legendaries from following Ash. GET THOSE!!! Are they blind or what?!?
When they do get smart and go after a legendary, they underestimate it and think it's as easy as catching a rattata lvl 1. I doubt they've ever heard of a master ball...

Well they at less change back into their old uniforms, I just can take them being untouchably good, it's immpossible.(unless you're Mr. Chuck Norris.)

Team Rocket always had a level of intellagence in japan espically meowth but the american dubs made them seem like bone heads thru and thru only because the animation could be read that way so lets make it that way. however now that team rocket has had major training and alot of funding so they can support themselves they cant be portraied as complete idiots.. (also above it mentions they got discharged from there current mission reason being is after the events of 23 and 24 they had to lay low for some reason or another)
