Talk about whatever you want, whether it's GPX related or something going on in your personal life, just be sure to read the rules first before posting. There's always someone on the forums to read and respond to your posts, so chat away and maybe you'll meet some great people!

Rules

• Regular forum rules still apply here. Basically don't double post. Don't ask for clicks every time you fill your party. Unless it gets out of hand*, I'm okay with you linking to an exploration Pokemon who needs a specific berry.
  
  *out of hand meaning I don't want to see Pokémon being linked just for leveling or if they need drinks for happiness. These kinds of interactions can be handled just fine by being in your parties and signatures.
  
  
• Do not post your shinies here, there's a http://forums.gtsplus.net/index.php?showtopic=5491 for that. Discussing them is OK though! Just make sure you add content to your post.
  
  
• Make sure your post contains worthwhile content. If you're posting an exploration Pokémon to be fed berries then be sure to add other content to your post. Same with discussing shinies. Find people to reply to or start a discussion yourself! Your post must, with the shiny portion and berry feeding hypothetically removed*, not read as if you're talking to yourself. To clarify, your post should not be an out-loud thought to yourself, and should contain more general discussion than just information on your current shiny luck.
  
  *if you were to read your post, skipping over any mention of shinies, the post should still sound like a good post.
  
  If any posts are found breaking this rule then they will be instantly deleted and handed a 10% warn.
  
  
• Do not post your GPX+ gear grinders in this thread either. There's also a http://forums.gtsplus.net/index.php?showtopic=49472 for that. This is mostly for raging at staff or site events that you don't like.

Monthly Raffle

Nominations are now gone, and I'm using post count to determine how many entries you have into the raffle. The first 19 posts you have will count as one entry, and every ten after that will count as an extra. Think of it as the first number of your post count is how many entries you have. To see what your post count is, click on the number of replies any certain thread has. Nothing else on the site will influence the amount of entries you receive, so if you'd like a chance to win, then post here frequently!

The raffle is what chooses who gets to choose what's in next month's egg distribution. There are no other site advantages other than that, and even then the whole site gets a chance at that Pokémon that you chose!

How to get an egg from this event

• You must keep at least one slot open in your party.
• You MUST have logged in sometime on GPX+ in the last two weeks.
• You can not be in the restricted group.

IMPORTANT EVENT NOTES

1. No, you do NOT have to be online at the time I am sending out eggs.
2. These eggs do NOT show up in the Lab for the event. They are sent out randomly.
3. There is ONE set shiny for each Pokémon, but every other egg has a regular chance of being shiny.
4. If you obtain ONE of the eggs from this event, you will NOT be able to obtain another one from this same event. This means if you get an egg on day 1 of this event, you can't get an event egg from any other day during this event. By the way, abandoning an event egg does nothing. So if you get one you might as well keep it and be happy.
5. If we find any accounts being made just to get eggs from the event then they will be immediately banned along with your main.
6. If you were a winner of the raffle, your chosen Pokémon will be spawned into your party on the day of the event. It won't be forced shiny, but there's always a small chance just like any other egg! This will not count as an event egg and you can still receive one from the event.
7. There is no guarantee that you'll receive an egg. There have been about 3k users online daily and there are only 1,750 eggs going out, so that at least gives you a little more than a 50% chance at getting something.
8. Eggs chosen will not be available to pick from again for 3 months. If x egg was in the January egg distribution, then it can not be chosen again until April.
9. The event runs at 4 p.m. server time.

Event dates and what's being handed out

• July 2nd: Shellderboy - Winner: pumpkinking0192 - 350 eggs
• July 3rd: Articuno - Winner: Gigadweeb - 350 eggs
• July 4th: This Pokémon fills people with determination to get through any of life's difficulties. ~ Azelf ~ 350 eggs
• July 5th: Excitement, joy, love, calm, anger, disappointment, fear, sadness... Without this Pokémon there might not be any emotions. ~ Mesprit ~ 350 eggs
• July 6th: Darkrai - Winner: Crasyforce - 350 eggs

Sweet, nice picks for the egg distribution. Going after either of the mystery eggs, they are the most interesting to me.

Aaaaaaaaand it's July. Just like that. My plans are to get my life more in order... and move into our new house. That will be a huge undertaking.

That one mystery Pokémon sure is some Undertale. (Victini?) I'll probably go for Articuno.

I'll just continue my thoughts about the new leaked Pokémon since my last post in the June thread was right before reset. Anyway, I like Vikavolt a lot -- it's sleek and pointy, which I like. Not big on Drampa other than the fact that it's finally an Eastern dragon, but maybe it doesn't pull a Druddigon and actually has a cool evolution. Cutiefly is very cute. Otherwise, I'm just neutral on the others with the exception of Tapu Koko, which I do not like.

Edit: Darn, I didn't finish DotW like I meant to. I got way too sidetracked. Well, that's all right; last month's Special Explos just weren't interesting to me, and I'd rather go for the options this month anyway.

Ah! So it's Canada Day. That explains, I take it, the multiplier? Sweet! Happy Canada Day! And thank you, GPX, for the multiplier. I'm hoping to take advantage of it tomorrow.

Congrats, again, to the June raffle winners. Shellderboy has been a choice of mine for a while, but there were other novelties before it that I was wanting. But Shellderboy was definitely next on the list. If only it wasn't the first Pokemon coming up in the running. Articuno and Darkrai are also very good choices. But these two mystery Pokemon are really toying with me. Gah. What to do what to do. My youngest just told me I should vie for the 4th. I can't figure which Pokemon either the 4th or 5th would be, so I'll probably aim for one of those two. I hate missing out on the Shellderboy opportunity. (man! GREAT choice, pumpkinking0192. Great choice!)

I'm about to head off to bed but am looking forward to a hopeful simple day tomorrow so that I can click like crazy and chose which special exploration to start with. Since I've only done Finding Your Muse and Diamonds are Forever the once, I'll probably work on those this month. Not sure which one I'll start with, but I'll check my "cheat sheets" and see which one I *think* I can get through easiest. Take it from there. *blush*

I also love the prize points I'm coddling, too. 1,103. Sweet. Pretty soon it'll be time for me to buy a special legendary voucher. Oh! If only the shop would sell the shiny vouchers. I'd even pay 1,000 points for it. I already know what I'd purchase with it, but I guess that isn't to be. *wistful sigh* So for now, I'm going to sign off for the night and tomorrow I'll make my special exploration choice and begin to enjoy this new month on GPX. I'm glad this month is the SWSH (although I seriously need to finish one of my hunts and free up some space) because next month is the Annual Business Meeting (Indianapolis here we come for a week!) and I wouldn't be able to get on for several vital days.

Yay July! It means Winter break for me I'll be spending it sleeping and catching up on anime and Fire Emblem Fates, and working a few days here and there ^^ Also planning on going on a short holiday for a few nights, haven't decided where yet. I'll probably end up just going to stay with my grandparents. I love the town they live in

I'll go for Articuno for the distribution, in hopes of a shiny, and I'll also do the Three Singing Chatot for another shiny chance. Then it will be time for DotW round five!

Also happy to have some prize points back after the Scavenger Hunt...my Twinkie funds were running low :P

Lol, I was thinking the exact same thing. I believe it'll be Victini, too, and the other is most definitely Mesprit.
BUT I'm going for Darkrai without a doubt. It's my favorite Pokémon, so a chance at a shiny would be incredible.

Wow, already July? Can't say I'm so thrilled about that... That means the first day of school is getting closer and closer.
But oh well, at least that also means it's closer to the release of Sun and Moon.

Edit: Oh yeah - don't forget about the Shaymin distribution this month guys! Grabbed mine a little while ago.

Happy Canada Day to you guys up north! We Americans are having our Independence Day on the fourth. I wonder if there are any more nation-specific holidays in July?

I decided to go for Summon the Hero. Along with Giratina, Reshiram is my second favorite Legendary. I don't get why people think Zekrom looks awesome. It looks kind of bland to me and they decided to make it look "edgy" to make it more appealing. Reshiram, at least to me, looked like it had more effort put to it. Not saying I don't like edgy things (all eyes on Giratina), but I would like some thought put to it.

I just got "Box of Bliss"! I got a Rainbow Wing out of it, which I plan to use as soon as my fossil egg hatches.

Anyways, because I have no longer have use for all of these Blissey, expect a mass release of Blissey sometime in the afternoon tomorrow for those seeking them for their achievements.

I also have enough points for a Silver Wing and another summoning item, so I have an excuse to use my Corruption Orb for a corrupted Legendary.

I can't believe July marks my 7th anniversary on GPX+! It seems the website wanted to celebrate with me 'cause I hatched a shiny Clamperl today.

Shiny Clamperl was my first shiny Pokemon hunt started back when you guys first implemented the Shiny Recorder, but I hated hatching all those eggs and I ended up missing a shiny out of my own daycare so I ragequit the hunt. Six years later (I don't remember when you guys put in the sh. recorder tbh so that's probably off), voila, here's my Clamperl!!! Pokemon Goal accomplished haha, even if I wasn't hunting for it.

Is anyone else's GPX+ anniversary this month? What's everyone's GPX+ goal for July?

Hard to believe we're already halfway through the year. It's just been flying by lately.

I'm doing Diancie right now, but I'm pretty tired right now because I've been up since 5 in the morning. I'll probably do the Three Singing Chatot next. Not sure which distribution Pokemon I want to go through yet.

Wooo! Two shots for a shiny Articuno this month (great choice, Gigadweeb) As for the mystery pokémon... I'm guessing the first is Azelf (though I wouldn't be too surprised if I was wrong) and the second one is Mesprit.

Also, hadn't noticed the multiplier until you guys mentioned it, happy Canada Day to everyone who celebrates it . I guess that's what I get for a grand total of 2 1/2 hours of sleep, I'm trying to shock my terrible sleep cycle into submission.

Rank2 with a 104IV is pretty good actually
Means not a lot of people sent in high IVs

Usually you can get rank 1 with a pokemon classified as Rare
130-140 and/or more IVs
Final Stage Evolution
and if you're submitting one with unequal gender ratios (like Eevee) be sure to send in the one that has less than 50

I got a rank one with a female eevee evolution and 128IVs once

One of the first Seviper eggs I hatched ended up getting 141IVs so I snagged Rank 1. That means I got my third Toxic Shard and those 12 sweet Prize Points. I'm finally over 200 Prize Points again but this time I'm going to keep them until after the SWSH this month.

I'm glad I decided to stay up late last night and finished Summon the Hero. I found two Timburr very quickly so that task was a breeze. It helped that at the time there were only two other people doing the exploration and they were only on the first tasks. I ended up releasing them after the task so hopefully someone who needed them got it. I have two more to release once their cool down is up grabbed two eggs from the Shelter before I found the two in the Safari Zone.

Not sure which exploration I'm doing next. I said I was going for Three Singing Chatot but I might go after Diancie instead. I'd rather get a chance at a shiny Diancie. At least there are no specific Pokemon tasks like Summon the Hero and their Timburr .

Haha now I have Timber stuck in my head, thanks guys .

Rank 1 in the hunt (153IV Seviper), a free Toxic Shard, the Meloetta exploration, July trinkets, another SWSH coming, it's not taht hot here and I feel like talking again. A bit at least. (I might disappear again in a few days though.)

Let's see if I can remember to keep my party full until Darkrai and not mess up on the first day probably not

Just sleeping and video games, my health issues don't allow for more than grocery shopping 1-2 times a week. And even though it's not that hot, it's still hot and there's no way I'll go outside unless I have to.

The SWSH voting is up surprisingly early and the last one had my two usual votes, so I have to come up with new ones. I think I'll vote Klefki, but I don't know about the other two.

I just released one of the Timburr I hatched last night thanks to getting a random heart scale, so it'll be available soon. The other I need to wait another hour so it should be released then for someone to snag.

Well I decided in the end to do the Diancie exploration over the 3 birds. I remember one of the tasks in Three Singing Chatot was annoying the last time I did it, so I went with Diancie instead. So far all of the tasks have been really easy, I snagged a very awesome IVd Diglett from the Shelter. I figured it would be easier to find a Diglett and level it up over finding a Dugtrio.

I voted Binacle/Klefki/Seedot. I don't have a whole lot of options I could use. At least we have plenty of time to think of what to vote for.

The bug Cutiefly's possibly based on looks so cute!

I'm not doing the Reshiram/Zekrom one, but when I do, I always do that one first so I can find the Timburrs quickly and I usually drop them soon after. But seriously, that task is always a problem.

Don't know what Pokémon I'll go for, maybe Articuno if I don't have it. Also, Mesprit is on there, but I'm doing the exploration to get that right now! So that's annoying. :/

Went downstairs to get food to hear my mom on the phone with my brother, who was apparently in a car accident. He thinks he has a broken ankle but he's on the way to the hospital and I don't know anything else
This is actually nerve wracking
I'll keep updating on this as it goes

Okay so my mom's going there now
turns out my brother was the only one seriously injured(figures...) and he's probably gonna need surgery

Update from like 10 minutes ago, he's got a broken ankle and is on crutches, other than that he's okay which I'm relieved about

Wow, is it July already? I sure don't feel like it.

I really like the 7th gen designs so far. I think they work really well as 3D sprites.

I'm trying to start biking more regularly. I've never been good at sports, so I'm starting really slow. I don't have any kind of goal, I'd just like to be a bit more active. I can manage about an hour of biking on flat-ish roads, but I still have to cheat by walking up the bigger hills. The weather is my worst enemy so far - there's been so much fog and wind!

Just wanted to say I've noticed (I think) quite a few of the gen 6 sprites have been revamped and they look fantastic. Sprite contributors, keep up the great work.

I don't remember the last time I resurrected some fossils. I've been a bit conflicted about what to shiny hunt now that I've gotten pretty much every regular Pokemon in its shiny form. I could shiny hunt another novelty but I'm still not quite over that EB nightmare.

Anyways, I mass-released my box of Blissey along with the two Timburr from one of my previous tasks. Hopefully I helped someone out.

Since I have several days before the SWSH, I decided to hunt for Absol to get a Shiny Mega. Hopefully this will be a quick one, but if I don't get it before SWSH, I'll pick it back up as soon as the SWSH ends.

Also, I voted for Bellsprout, Delibird, and Gligar. Hopefully they weren't in a previous SWSH, but I don't think they were.

Aww, that is cute! And I do think that Cutiefly will probably have an evolution. It just doesn't come across to me as an unevolvable Pokemon.
And I find it funny how I referred to it as a "bee/fly thing" in the June Community Thread then it's categorized as the "Bee Fly Pokemon."
Then I was right about Grubbin being connected to Charjabug - but I wasn't sure that they would have been evolutions. I guess I doubted that since they look quite similar in size.

Well, if they were in a previous SWSH, then you wouldn't have been able to vote for them. Past entries are absent from the list.

I voted for Frillish, Oddish, and Shroomish. I picked the first two then I noticed that they both ended with "ish" so I decided to keep the pattern going for the third one.

And I decided for the explorations, I'm gonna do The Three Singing Chatot and Finding Your Muse. I haven't done these two yet, so that's why I chose them.
But this is only if I ever actually get around to doing the explorations. I tend to forget to do them quite often.

My laptop charger finally came in today - so that means I can finally finish my fourth Undertale playthrough.

@Gigadweeb: I just noticed that I have 24 escape ropes.
I didn't realize I had that many.

Meanwhile, some impatient people are already setting off fireworks.
I really wish they'd wait because our dogs keep tripping out when they go off. If they'd all shoot them off only on the fourth then we'd have to deal with our dogs barking like crazy only on that day.
Though my one dog seems pretty relaxed laying on me, so she's not joining in on the barking fest like she usually does.

Aww, she's so cute! Is she a Dachshund? My family owns Dachshunds right now, and they all have their own personalities. I do miss my slightly dumb one, though :c His name was Bleu and he was a double dapple. While he wasn't blind or deaf, I'm not convinced he was missing a few brains because he would just sometimes sit there, looking a little lost. He was very sweet, however.

New Pokemon look great! Vikavolt looks seriously badass and I can't wait to use one. Drampa initially made me think of Valoo when I saw it, and while Togedemaru disappointed me at first I guess it could be pretty useful once it evolves. Tapu Koko is also really interesting for a legendary, and the other Pokemon are pretty cool too.
Hope we get more in the next few weeks, but not too much, you know?

Yeah, she is. Her name is Anna. She's the daughter of my other dachshund Zack (who mated with a chihuahua named Little Bit we had a while back - so she's part chihuahua even though she doesn't really look that way). Then I have another dog that's a chihuahua named Baby. They all also have their own personalities - and so do my two cats.
Anna is very attention seeking and will growl at you until you pet her (she also gets very jealous if the other animals get attention ). Zack is a grump sometimes but he's also kinda weird and likes to roll around in blankets and stuff (he also likes to take people's spots after they get up ). Baby is 100% obsessed with food and licking things and will beg like crazy if she thinks you have food (she's also really clumsy).
Then for my cats I have a fat calico cat named Belle - she's really lazy (but gets playful occasionally) and doesn't like any of the other animals (and the dogs are afraid of her ). She also looks mad all the time and purrs really loud. Then my other cat Abby is really soft and fully (she's a Himalayan) and is super jumpy and tends to hide out in the kitchen or laundry room (pretty much the only time she comes out is when she's ready to be fed - which then she won't leave you alone ).

Yeah, when I first saw Drampa I instantly though of Valoo, too. I really hope that it's shiny version is red.
But I don't think Togedemaru will be evolving. None of the Pika clones evolve.

I think my Pokemon Moon party so far will consist of Rowlet, Rockruff, Pikipek, Cutiefly and Drampa. So I have space for one more hehe. It'll probably change as more Pokemon are released :P

I finally got my phone screen fixed today! (I accidentally cracked it a couple of months ago). I found a shop that was doing discounted iPhone screen repairs this weekend, so it didn't cost me as much as it was going to. It feels like I have a brand new phone again now :P

We were upgrading our home internet this week to a faster connection and plan. Our ISP said it was done, but our internet doesn't even work...hasn't since Thursday. Tried to call them up about it and they said 'they were looking into it' but didn't hear back, and now their support lines are closed over the weekend So I'm sure it's going to be another few days at least until it's fixed. Luckily I have a heap of rollover data on my iPad, so I can use that as a hotspot for now. Why are these companies always painful to deal with.

Loving all the sporting events on TV at the moment: Wimbledon and Le Tour de France, plus the standard AFL games on each weekend. And the Olympics are coming up in around a month's time. Going to keep me amused for the next two months Literally all I watch is anime and sport.

About Sun Moon, I definitly go with Sun. I love this lion legendary and Sun is ma favourite planet.
I would like to get the three starters for once, it's pretty rare that I fell in love for the three starters haha but idk if I will be able to get them.
Pikipek is also a choice. and the little tsum tsum electrik pokemon I forgot the name is also a favourite to me!

I'm going for Moon, and my starter will likely be Litten (unless Popplio ends up being something really good).

Cutiefly will definitely be a permanent member of my team. It's just too adorable to ignore! I won't have to worry about a permanent Fly member, as Lunala will likely be able to learn Fly.

As for incorporating a 7th Gen Pokemon into a competitive team, I'm looking towards Bruxish for its ability. Great way to counter Gale Wings Talonflame and Pokemon with Bullet Punch or Extreme Speed.

I thought the same thing, but I'm sort of glad they're throwing these unexpected wrenches into our assumptions. I sort of envision Solgaleo as a big steel statue to honor the sun or something like that.

I'm going to get both versions, but, as was the case with the last few releases, will likely not even play the other version I buy. Sigh. Well, I'll definitely play Moon at least.

I decided to go for the legendary birds in terms of the July exploration -- I roleplay Moltres on a RP forum, so it seemed fitting, oop -- and am excited to hopefully finish that up in the next few days! I'm also hoping to finally hatch a shiny Fennekin this month, or maybe a shiny Vulpix... Preferably before the SWSH begins, so I have less to focus on. I managed to successfully complete a Golett hunt last time, so I'm hoping this time will be successful as well!

I voted for Mawile, Pidgey, and Natu based on personal preferences more than anything else (though any possible shiny Mega Evolution would be cool, especially if I already have the stone).

Re: Sun/Moon Pokemon (Spoilers, possibly?):

I'm really fond of a lot of the new Pokemon! Drampa's my favorite of the recently-unveiled ones, but Cutiefly is also really nice, even if the name is silly in my opinion. I'm waiting excitedly for possible starter evolutions, though I doubt they'll be released anytime soon.

About the Lion legendary on Sun, I'm also very upset he's not fire type. I mean COME ON, he is the personnification of the SUN.
If I can"t get all the starters, I still don't know if I start with Litten or Popplio. this water fairy type is really interesting. I think I will make a decision when we will see the evolutions and types.

but if I can still give some feedback:

I always click palpad and added palpad first before moving onto other lists ^^;
(I always have tbh... that still dates from the time I only had 15 mins of internet per day(that was back in 2010/2011) and back then the site wasn't as fancy as it is now)

But I think that helped me with social network cause I think a lot of people added me due to that.
So it might be a nice one to add?

As for the "show you're an active clicker" I agree 100%.
I know that the more active you are, the more likely you'll be added to a palpad even if it's just temporarily.
Long time ago I think I got PM'd by someone saying they replaced me with a more active clicker which I thought was pretty reasonable.

I hope this helps you. Cause I really like the idea behind it

If you get lucky with that one task, the Reshiram/Zekrom one is short. I did that one plus Yellow Forest and Sweet Success (they have berry tasks but the amounts aren't too high).


And there's a little trick: you're only required to complete them within a day. You can start one, finish it after midnight then complete two more before the next midnight, and it will count.

Putting my two cents in, I would suggest the Spiky-Eared Pichu one. The task list is very short, and it's even easier if you do it on a multiplier day (which there will be more of during the coming SWSH).

Ughh getting so frustrated with these VS seeker achievements. I'm now 0 wins 17 losses on the Smoochum one using a 120+ IV pokemon, and 0 wins 6 losses using 2 Golbats with 120+ as well.. Kinda lost about what to do at this point, I'm just throwing points into the sink once a day ;; I've been trying over 3 weeks now

Why are you throwing points away? Are the pokemon you're using already Level 100? If not, use training. If they ARE 100 already, get different pokemon and start at Level 1 or so. They don't have to BE Level 100 in the fights. Win the three fights and then level them up. It's easier and cheaper that way.

Also, using VS Seeker items is helpful! Look at what the weather is, then when you put your Pokemon in the VS Seeker, give it a hold item to make it into a type that the current weather gives an advantage to. Gives your Pokemon more of a chance of winning

I've been trying to be more of an active clicker lately. Who knows, that might help me get the achievement! Though I doubt that won't be for a long time, ahahaha. I definitely need to get my points back up to 100k, though.

I'm on the Diancie exploration now. I'm hoping to get this one out of the way relatively quickly so I can focus on the Absol hunt and try to get some badge-party achievements as well.

Well I hatched a random shiny Chikorita the other day. I was trying to use up all the Shelter grabs I got from clicking so much, it was one of the final eggs I got to hatch. It doesn't give me a shard because I already own the Meadow Plate but another shiny is always nice.

Trying to get a few more achievements done. I'm currently on the task to try and get Smoochum to win so I can get the Powerpuff Girl achievement but she never wins. I got one win a long time ago but haven't been able to win since. I'm also trying to get a few more of the Battle Subway/Battle Tower achievements out of the way too. I have about 80 wins to go before I get the first achievement but I still have a long way to go.

Subway achievements are just about focus really Just focusing on that I suppose.. once the team is fine you can sail through pretty quick.

Speaking of newbie luck

A few days after my first hiatus(I somehow forgot about GPX+ only a few weeks after joining)
I went to the lab and found a rayquaza egg xD
It didn't hatch shiny but with there not being explorations for things and summoning items being super rare, I thought it was pretty cool I got a legend out of the lab.

Anyone else who got good luck in their newbie days?

For the longest time I just completely ignored GPX+,it actually took me like 6 months after making my account to actually go on GPX+....

I just refused to spend time to do explorations and click for atleast 2 years, but hey I'm doing my first exploration in like a year so if anyone wants to help my little buddy out it'd be really appreciated.

Anyways, I'm going for the Bidoofo exploration, as I'm also trying to get all the forms of Bidoofo, Zergoose, and Pokii for the achievements. I won't focus on Zombie Bidoofo for a while of course, as I plan to get all the corruptable Legendaries first.

Also, I'm hyped for Fourth of July! We're gonna have steak tomorrow (my favorite "fancy" food), and there will be pretty fireworks! I'll upload pictures of them tomorrow night so you guys can see the awesomeness. One of the only things I like about my own country, actually. (I will admit I live in a crud country compared to other developed nations.)

I don't know how I feel about the 4th of July this year. I used to really look forward to it, but this year has just been all around bad for me, so I don't feel very festive :/ Doubt we'll be able to see the fireworks from my house (they do one at the park around 10 and while I'm not too far from the area, we're surrounded by huge trees that make it hard to see them up in the air) but if we do, that might be the only thing that cheers me up even just a tiny bit

I found out there's an egg design contest. When I try to use Enzimba to make the background transparent, OF COURSE I can't save the transparent background image as a PNG. ._.

If I can't figure out how in the world I get it as a PNG (as the image in the top left corner keeps the opaque image), I may forced to leave it with the white background. *Sigh* I hope the egg design makes up for it.

We're barbecuing for 4th of July tomorrow. We usually don't do much on that day anyway. A long time ago we did the whole fireworks thing but we haven't done it much since then.

Well I left my party open accidentally Saturday and ended up with a Shellderboy. Coincidentally, with today's distribution and all, I ended up choosing Articuno when I did the bird trio exploration.

I also just got a way better score on Shuffle for the competition, enough to push me into the top tier, but I wish I would have ended up with the one that gives out the Mega Speedup instead.

I just hatched a shiny Pokemon and I was really excited at first - but then I realized it was my Bagon egg that hatched shiny.
I was so close to getting to 1000 on that hunt.
Now I'm gonna have to wait for another long hunt to come my way and hope it doesn't end before 1000 again.
At least I got a shiny anyways.

Oh, and an egg design contest?! I'm really excited for this.
I already created an egg, but I'm gonna hold off on sending it in incase I think of another idea that I like better. But I feel like I'm probably going to stick with this one - I'm really happy with how it turned out.
And hopefully plenty more people join in for this! Even if I don't win (which I'm sure I won't, I'm not that lucky), it'll be nice to see all of the other designs.

I suggest you enter it anyway, even if you think you're not good enough. You get a prize anyway, and who knows, you might make it to 1st place if you try hard enough.

On a sidenote, I wonder what the grand prize will be. I wonder if it'll be a normal Arceus like the last one. Novelties are cool, but they generally lose thwie... novelty by the end of the month afterwards because everyone and their mother breed them. Maybe if it's a novelty based on their design and unique to the user, that'd be pretty rad.

I got some crazy ideas for the egg disigning contest, but I suck at making it digital. My drawings arent that half bad if I take time for it, but my artistic sense digitally sucks badly. I usually never join these things.

The multiplier of today is great, now I can finally make some progress in my Beldum hunt. Im slacking on it since they take forever to hatch without a multiplier, and now there being a 3x one is a great help. Time to click some pokemons ^^

It's been a while since we had one of these site wide contests ^^ The last egg design contest I only made it past the first round, but my bauble entry was better getting me 4th :P I have also already done my egg and pretty happy with it. I got a cool design drawn on paper, now just getting it digital. I doubt that will happen. I rarely draw so this was fun for a change.

The grand prize is a Normal Arceus spawned directly into the winner(s) party. There is no voucher for Arceus as some people seem to think. Art contests like these are practically the only way to obtain Arceus, as only a very small amountof Arcei have come from the lab, and other than that I think all the other Normal Arcei have come from the admins.

Granted, activity is down, so it's very possible that someone got one and the wider community didn't notice, or that they've been being missed, but from what I've observed they used to pop up once a year or so. Has anyone else seen a Lab Arceus around the site?

I got Azelf from the distribution. I thought it was gonna be Victini And for that matter I had everything this month except Articuno, which I didn't get, so... eh. I still have to finish my explo from last month as well.

Doubt it was the event. It went down at like, iirc, some point between 12:22 PM Eastern and 12:32 PM. Because I had eggs that would have been ready to hatch right around 1 PM Eastern and I was unable to get them hatched because of downtime. And I was attempting to refresh to see if my Daycare gave me a Novelty egg, and since I'm Malachite, my Daycare breeds at xx.32.

The site was down pretty long yesterday but it didn't affect me much, I was sleeping at the time.

About the new pokémon generation. At first new pokémons looked super cool and I've been so hyped but the bug ones and the new dragon makes me little less hyped. I don't like them and hope the whole gen won't be designed like them.. Ugh. We'll see.

I was fortunate enough to clear (and then almost fill) my team 20 minutes before the distribution, as I ran out the door to go to work I'm hoping my Azelf is either shiny or high IV ^^

MS Paint is a nice program to do really small edits with, tbh
Besides I seen some pretty awesome things made with ms paint sooo xD

Just about to submit my egg for the contest ^^ I keep trying to make other designs, but they don't work quite like I want them and I still like my original one the best. So I'm just going to submit it so I stop thinking about it haha :P

I've been on the phone to our ISP a few times yesterday and today, and they've finally decided that they must have sent us a faulty router So still no proper internet for me. They're sending out a new router and they said that we should receive it by the end of the week, but I'm not holding my breath.

Good morning Everybody!

Today seems like it will be a nice quiet day and, considering the 5 hours of sleep I'm working on, I'm really liking that plan. Here's hoping it holds true all day long.

I'm not sure which Pokemon I'll vote for in the SWSH, but I do have a bit of surprising news that happened to me yesterday. While playing my Omega Ruby game... I got a second shiny from it! *jaw drops* *happy dancing* It was a Trapinch. I missed the sparkly indication, but because of GPX, and its oh so different coloring, I knew right away what it was. I couldn't believe it! Got to love those repeat balls! *nods emphatically* So that's two shinies from the same game. I didn't know they did that! So it was a real nice holiday surprise to have come across that.

Regarding GPX... I've just begun one of the monthly explorations, Finding Your Muse. Hopefully the battle scene won't be traumatic or problematic for me. *blush* Other than that, I'll just be clicking away today.

So... happy Tuesday everybody! Oh. Yeah. That reminds me.

The Poke Hunt. Yeah. Not sure if I'll be successful in that regard, either. I think I've struck out these past few hunts, but hopefully I'll find something that can do well for me. And if you're vying for it... good luck to you, too.

Yep. You can find multiple shinies in any game. Sometimes it's not very likely. In the earlier games, I think I've only found one random shiny, a Gligar. Red Gyrados doesn't count, since it's set in the game. But the newer ones, I've found, iirc, two randoms in one game, and at least one in another. And that's not counting the chaining/Horde options.

And also? Congrats on the game shiny.

when you know what pokemon you're up against, you look up what they're weak to
then you fill up your party with whatever they're weak to
aaand watch them beat up the opponent
oh I recommend leftovers and quick claws too

For the pokehunt I'm having a hard time finding Eevees >__<
and I also need a few for a certain task...

I've found several shinies in Pokémon Y's friend safari where the odds are higher than normal but still my only random shiny encounters are TWO shiny magikarps, one in Pokémon Emerald and one in Omega Ruby. In Emerald I missed it totally because I didn't know back then it was a shiny (there's pokémon anime episode where's golden magikarp and I think it was "normal"). But in OR I managed to catch it and was super happy. I have fishing chained a few shinies including magikarp but this one was random.

I made my egg design entirely with MS Paint since I don't have any other program for it and don't even know how to use any other. I think it turned out to be just fine. Paint is pretty good software to be used to do pixel art.

Ah the egg contest. I'm stuck on the design, but I usually paint on real eggs so I have a few ideas. XD

I might draw a few sketches before hand.

Back when I did a lot of Pixel art I used MS Paint too. I might use it too even though I got other programs because it is just easier for me.

When I was younger I had a shiny Clefairy from the Odd Egg in Crystal. I never figured it out until a few years down the line of course but there is a higher chance for that Pokemon in the egg to come out shiny so half of the time I never really counted it.

Just sent in my design did it on SAI (using pixel brush nothing else)

Used 42 colours (apparently) but hey, I'm happy with it so hopefully it'll get accepted in a few days. I can't wait to see others' designs.

Oh man. I got excited yesterday with the 3x multiplier and decided to start trying for the 3 exploration in a day achievement.

But no multiplier today. Which means getting clicks is slow. And now I'm stuck with an exploration pokemon that still needs 42 clicks and I've only got a little over an hour of time left.

I'm excited to see what happens re: the egg designing, though I'm not sure if I'll enter yet! I did want to practice using SAI a little more, but designing a small egg sprite seems a lot more intricate than the weird scribbles I do, whoops...

Going to attempt to hatch a shiny for this Poke Hunt, but I need to wait for my current eggs to hatch. I managed to finish one of my recorded hunts today, though, which is really nice! 460 eggs wasn't TOO bad for a shiny Fennekin, and I did want to finish him this month...

He'll be a Braixen forever, and his name will be Mercury. c:

I started a new Exploration (Punishing a Poacher, which I quit last time because I wanted to do a special exploration instead), so hopefully that won't be too time consuming... I finished the bird trio one, which was exciting! Got myself a lovely little Moltres.

When I was designing my egg my first draft was 487 pixels and my altered version of it was at 541. I had to remove some features of the design and decrease the blending (because that had like 50 different shades of the same color ). That made it under the limit - so then I added just a couple extra things and bumped it up to exactly 64.

...Is that a typo... or a pun?
I'm gonna take it as a pun because I like it that way.

My favorite of the trio is actually Uxie. That's because of it's role in PMD2 (which is the source of a lot of my favorites).

Sounds like you guys are using interesting brushes I was tempted to use the blending tool but it would have given me 328746874638 different colours so I chose each colour individually

Timely but oh well!

I used the Microsoft Paint tool for my design, relying on the pencil tool, eraser tool, and rarely the fill tool for coloring. I don't use many colors for original recolors anyways. Mostly because if I do, it would become an eye-hurting mess as I start going overboard.

Work has been quite busy so far this week. One of my coworkers is gone on vacation so its taking a lot longer to finish freight. Another coworker is dying with a chest/throat/sinus infection thanks to the flu from another coworker. I really hope I don't get what she has, I can't afford to be sick now. My coworker and I managed to get the back room somewhat emptied, at least you can walk in there without bumping into a box.

I probably won't join the egg decorating contest, mainly because I don't have any programs to use(plus the fact that I suck at digital art). It'll be nice to see what awesome ideas people will come up with.

Well my Smoochum has now lost 30/31 battles in the VS Seeker. I am getting quite annoyed by the thing, I'll never get the achievement if she keeps sucking at battling. I would hatch a better one but leveling it to 100 is quite a pain. In other battle news, I am currently on battle 31 in the Battle Subway . I have no clue if I'll be getting any further than that, but at least the EXP All is a more realistic goal now. I just want that thing to start the Arceus exploration so I can get my first one.

Oh yeah, that was really pretty. I love that game, too. Not sure what my favorite video game is, but PMD2 is definitely one of my favorites.
This reminds me, I need to play some more of my Explorers of Sky game. I think I'm right before the final boss. But I've been holding off on doing that to complete some more missions to level my Pokemon up some more.

I settled on which egg to send in. It's still pending, so I'm gonna wait to post the egg design I was debating on just incase my other one doesn't get accepted (I don't see why it wouldn't as it meets all the requirements and stuff, but just to make sure, you know).

Looks like Pokemon Go is only available in Australia and New Zealand at the moment, according to what I've read wow we're the first country to get a game release I've driven and walked around my neighbourhood to find out where all the gyms and Pokestops are around here, and I met my work mates during their lunch break to scout out the area around our work too :P Already having too much fun with this! I even have a few friends who have never played Pokemon before getting into Pokemon Go, so it should be fun

Though it did drain my phone battery pretty quick (could just be my phone though), so I'm going to play it from my iPad instead, which has better battery life.

And, Bonnie Clyde, those egg designs of yours are gorgeous

Somehow, despite having zero creative talent, I was able to put together a basic egg design to submit. I'll probably drop out in the first or second round, but at least I'll still get the consolation prize now! I am looking forward to seeing the other entries, though, as well as the SWSH picks (surely we can do better than March's this time...)

When I first saw the aurora I was disappointed that I wouldn't be able to do the Deoxys exploration, since I'm still finishing up DotW, but then I realized its cooldown from the last time isn't up yet, so I wouldn't have been able to start it either way. Oh well... Speaking of DotW, I have a rat that needs some help again:

For the VS Seeker achievements, a much easier way is to level the poke up to 76 (so it's in the highest stat bracket) and put it in the Training division. Even a Smoochum can win sometimes if it runs into a lower-level opponent! Then just level it the rest of the way to 100 after it gets the three wins in Training, and the achievement will still unlock.

I saw some talk about what program everyone uses for spriting.
I always use MS Paint for all my sprites. I know it's kinda old school, but I just feel like I can make it do exactly what I want without complicated buttons and things everywhere haha. I love how even just one pixel can make a difference. That's what I like about spriting, the details.

Looking forward to hearing about Pokémon Go from you guys! It sounds exciting, I want to know more. ^^

Yeah, my daughter checked last night and our news reports showed Pokemon Go available only in Australia and Japan. I'm still not sure if my AT&T phone would actually work with Pokemon Go or not (it's a Samsung) when it becomes available for us, but it'd be just our luck that we have the wrong type of so-called smart phones. LOL I kind of feel your pain, Pyrowall. My first cell was a flip phone. Texting was a lot of fun! Key pad 1 through 9. Yeah. Back then, we didn't text so much. But now? We don't call much. Way nice! Sadly, all the Eevee eggs seem to be hiding behind the aura streams. LOL So I've switched to finding other ice Pokemon for this week's hunt. I did submit a Glaceon, but I don't have high hopes for a 1st place. I did feed it some vitamins and such, but still... it's starting point was pretty lame. Here's hoping I can find a higher ice Pokemon to replace it with.

This Swinub is totally replacing that Glaceon! LOL While I already have the submit a shiny in the Poke Hunt achievement, to submit it with the 145 IVs as well... well... I'm not sure if it'll get 1st place, but if it doesn't, I know it'll be dang close! *thumbs up*

I'm just leveling it up at the moment to get it fully evolved. Not sure what level it needs, but I'll be waiting until it gets there.

Texting? What's that? I use my phone only for conversating. I text no one. And I don't even use my phone that often. It's a TracFone flip phone, and currently has over 3000 units, since I have to buy a new card every 3 months to keep my service active. Add double minutes for the life of the phone, and even with buying the 60 minute card, I get 120 every three months. But it seems like I'm going to need to get a new phone soon. I got a message the other day saying that 2G is being phased out or something?

My current weekly entry is a 136 IV Glaceon. Which is borderline, imo. But if all else fails I can probably give it a vitamin or so. What WAS your shiny/IV total?

And also? I summoned a Rayquaza with close to 1250 eggs in the Lab. Found it on the FIRST refresh. Quickest summon search in a while.

Officially, it's only available in Australia, NZ and some other places, but unsurprisingly the apk got shared on the internet and people can get the game regardless of location. I tried to get it through QooApp and test it a bit (I don't get out much so I wasn't particularly interested on it), but it told me my phone wasn't compatible. I looked up the game info on the Play Store and it turns out it requires Android 4.4 or higher.

Not sure. Common rarity eggs usually need higher IV totals. There's no gender bonus since Swinub hatches 50% male/50% female. It's 5120 egg steps, so no bonus there. There IS the shiny bonus, but I'm not sure what that adds. Where's Silver? LOL

I personally would say wait until late tomorrow night to see if you can find a higher IVed one with higher egg steps, which doesn't seem too likely at the moment, since at 12:35 PM Eastern, there are only 101 egg species in the Shelter and of those, I didn't spot a single high-level Rare with Ice capabilities. And then, if you can't find one, you MIGHT want to add the vitamins.

Of course, this is all speculation on my part, since I mostly play by ear with the weekly hunts. You should get better ideas from someone like Silver. Who else has knowledge on the weekly hunts?

Definitely keeping an eye out for when Pokemon GO's released here in the states. I think my phone is good enough to use.

Well my 3DS charger went kaput so I had to use my sis' old DSi one. I was able to catch Giratina (Origin) and got the Skill Swapper, but I don't get why a cheap item like the Exp. Points one is obtained later than that one.

It's already been 16 hours (actually 20 hours by now, I believe). Don't believe any rumors you hear. Neither Niantic nor Nintendo have said a word about it — not even to announce the Australia/NZ release.

The only thing I've seen even resembling an official statement is this series of tweets last night from Takashi Mochizuki, a tech journalist from the Wall Street Journal who seems to have gotten in touch with The Pokemon Company regarding the release:

Just in case Mamanator, I've got Pokemon GO by using an APK, kind of plug that allow me to dl the app and make it run. The app is a normal one. It's just because the app is not already open to every area of the country yet.

I remember when I was using my old phone (I think it was the second one I ever had), I used to text all the time, but now I rarely ever text or call.
That phone had the basic key pad as well. Let's see... what type of phone was it? *looks it up*
Ah, a Sony Ericsson W350. I remember I had a lot of fun with the music maker thing on there.
And the flip part broke off. But I think that happened when my brother was using it (before it was my phone).
Now the back won't stay on.

Can't do the Deoxys exploration since I'm still on cooldown for the last time it appeared.
Also it seems like out of all of my shiny hunts I can only find Deino eggs in the shelter.

Right then, I've just spent the past two days on my egg design and I've come up with a better one. Still, trial and error, plus I've developed a few extra tactics I didn't have a week ago. I'm so glad that this one has come round again I'm so excited to see what everyone else has done!

When someone shows somewhere eggs she/he didn't put in the competition, I'm a little scared that someone else have had the same kind of idea to make their own egg and then they change their idea because the one who showed same kind, to avoid being called copycat. When no one shows any eggs yet it is safe to make your own egg design. Like example the beautiful crystal egg, what if someone had already made that kind of egg and submitted it already? And now someone who saw the crystal egg here thinks that the crystal egg in the competition is just a copycat and don't give it any votes because of that. D: I hope that I'm just paranoid with this but I've been once in a community where copying others ideas was totally bannable and made showing your own ideas very risky, you might get a lot of hate even tho you haven't seeing the one you was "copying" in the first place. It was awful.

Anyways the eggs were beautiful and I can't wait to see all the eggs in te competition!

I'm seeing a lot of hype over the Pokémon Go and I'm also super excited about it. Only that I don't have a smartphone. And won't be having in the near future. Ugh. Bye bye Pokémon Go.

Thought of sharing my "leftover" models here, but thinking about this it might be better after the first round starts :P
I made four eggs, which of one seemed nicer than the others so I polished it a bit more (with a lot of time compared to what went making it in the first place..) and sent it. Got that done now, will share the other 3 later when the voting starts
I hope everyone saves their other designs for later too, because this might actually happen.

I'm doing the Deoxys exploration also, going to level my gardevoir now!

All this talk of old cell phones reminds me of when I got my first cell phone in 2003 back when I was 17.

I didn't even have texting. It was pretty much calling and nothing else. Well, I could play Snake, and that's about all I did since I hardly called anyone. I'm so happy we have smartphones now.

I'm not that looking forward to Pokémon GO, but all these images of people seeing Exeggcute or Magikarp in their frying pans are hilarious enough for me to want to try it.

Oh gosh, the mass Pokemon searching. I seriously hate those kinds of tasks, since I find them to be pretty tedious. I'm mostly worried that there's a chance the exploration will automatically end at the end of the aurora. Hopefully not, but I still would like to get this out of the way as fast as possible just in case.

This seems to be generally a really nice community, so I don't feel like anyone here would do that sort of thing against supposed "copycat" eggs. I mean, people sometimes think of the same ideas - even then they execute them differently (and great minds think alike, right ).
For example, after I made my flower egg I noticed that there were a couple of designs in the old egg contest that were kinda like it:

But I completely understand what you mean. My entry has gotten accepted, but I hold off on showing my "runner up" design incase anyone may feel this way (though in the old contest there are some eggs that have similar design qualities related to it, but in any case I'll wait to show it).

When there's any sort of contest going on I always have this competitive urge inside of me that's like "YOU GOTTA WIN" so I always really want to make it to the end but even when I don't I don't really mind much (*points to self* the apathy is strong with this one (lol, is it bad to reference something you're not even a fan of or haven't even watched )).

@Synx Itax: Oh yeah, I remember playing snake on my first phone (I don't remember what kind it was so I can't really look it up - I'm not even sure on whether or not it was a flip phone, I just remember it being gray ). We don't even have the phone anymore, we loaned it someone and never got it back (or we gave it to them I have no idea - either way we don't have it ).

Against all odds, Smoochum was the winner.

Finally, I got that darn achievement . I've wasted so many points trying to get the final win I needed for the achievement. So glad that it is finished, I can let the Smoochum rot in the box .

Pokemon Go isn't available in Canada yet so I can't test it out. I probably won't download it anyways, I'd much rather play the handheld games. From what game footage I've seen, it isn't my type of game.

I downloaded it and I guess it works OK even though my phone is kind of old. It does have iOS 9 so I don't see why it wouldn't work. It's been laggy though. I tried to catch a Bulbasaur and it crashed, plus it's pretty late so I can't do much right on there right now anyway.

I saw that Pokemon GO was trending so I downloaded the app but can't sign up for an account. Looking at twitter, many people experiencing this problem. Bizarre thing is that the app doesn't seem to want to bring the keyboard up so I can't even really sign in if I got an account anyhow. Really weird. I have a feeling I'll use the app once or twice but might wear off fast... The screenshots people are sharing online are hilarious though. hehe.

I couldn't sign in the first time, so I thought I got the wrong password. Tested my abilities to sign in into the Trainer Club on the official Pokemon website, and I got in. Guess I somehow goofed up, as I got in just fine the second time. I have no idea how the keyboard issue is happening, though. It worked for me when I signed in.

I feel like it was probably the app instead of you typing in your password wrong. I entered mine in over and over and it finally went in after I had went back to the main screen and clicked on the Trainer Club option again.
That was kind of frustrating because I went to the Pokemon website and the PGL and both of the were being weird (half of the pages had maintenance alerts on them - I didn't even put my login info in on the Pokemon website and it logged me in and the PGL kept saying my info was incorrect).
So I'm not sure what was going on, but I'm just glad it finally let me in.

So, which would be better for the weekly hunt: a 136 IV Primary Ice type Glaceon, or a 134 IV secondary Ice type Lapras? Lapras has the egg steps bonus, but it's 2 IVs lower AND secondary typing.

Well today is fun, I had a dentist appointment earlier this morning. I've been having issues with a tooth for months now and it had a cavity. I had to get two cavities filled today, my mouth still hurts. My face is currently squish right now because he had to numb me twice. It'll take a few more hours for the numbing agent to wear off.

Apparently I have a few more cavities that need to be filled. My dentist blames it on my acid reflux. He told me that I should make an appointment to see if I can get some medication to stop it. I was on some a few months ago but my prescription ended. This is going to be funnnnnn .

Not much luck hatching any good Eevee. I currently have a 137IV Lapras as a temporary entry until I get something better. I've noticed that Eevee eggs were quite hard to find for a few days. There's always been Eevee eggs in the shelter but yesterday I found 4 eggs in 5 hours.

That new Pokemon is AMAZING, I want 10 of them. Now where's my dolphin Pokemon, *hint hint*?

Speaking of more..... I GOT POKEMON GO! I GOT POKEMON GO!

I am enjoying it! I am not quite sure how it all works or how to view my team or anything... but the first Pokemon I opted to catch was Squirtle and I've caught 7 Pokemon since. Abra was cute - I caught him at the gas station. But Ekans! Oh my! He was sitting on the sidewalk and actually "struck out" at me!

I've seen several gyms in the area, but I'm a level 3 at the moment and haven't battled any Pokemon (just caught them) so I don't know how, or when, I'll be ready for that. Currently, it looks like the closest gym believes in Zubats (if the Pokemon above the gyms are any indication of what they use there). I'm looking forward to figuring the game out and, especially, how to use my captured Pokemon to battle.

I like the look of that new Pokemon, too! I am so excited for this new game release. I'm definitely counting down to its release. I should be finished paying the games off within the next few weeks so... yay! Maybe I'll treat us to the Poke Dex once it's available, too. *blush*

We had similar problems with Pokemon Go here yesterday (and still are a bit). It's pretty laggy at times, and you quite often get 'our servers are experiencing difficulties' messages or the app crashes :\ I think their servers are getting absolutely smashed with the number of people playing :P But once it's up and running, it's so much fun! My friend and I walked 10km around our town yesterday in search of Pokemon and Gyms. We even bumped into another group of random people playing it too, and somehow we ended up having a race to see which group could make it to this nearby unclaimed gym first ^^" we were mature adults

That new gen 7 Pokemon is adorable If it evolves, I hope it stays on all four legs.

What about the Sun & Moon Guide? Do you even buy that? Or just meander your way through the games? Me? I like having the Guide beside me so that I know what pokemon are in what area, so I can attempt to "Catch 'Em All" before I move onto the next area. Which reminds me that I still need to reserve my guide. The last time I was in GameStop, the guide wasn't available to reserve yet. But I think it might be now.

A friend told me he opted for the Google route so I was able to finally get into Pokemon GO but the app keeps crashing. Then I had to jiggle the GPS on and off to get the app to recognize what was going on. After lots and lots of fiddling around, I caught a Bulbasaur. I went on catch an Eevee and a ... Spearow, I think? I can't remember. GPS has not worked since and the app is crashing so much. It was kind of interesting, from what I could experience so far anyhow.

Oh, I love the new Pokemon! I feel like that may be another Pokemon taking up a spot in my team.

So after I got up this morning and ate and stuff, I got dressed and got ready to head out on a walk with Pokemon Go - but of course when I try to log in in says "unable to authenticate".
It's been about an hour now and it's still saying the same thing and I can't say I'm not a little aggravated. It just annoys me that I got completely ready only for it to not even freaking work. And I had gotren on it shortly after I woke up and it let me in just fine.

*sigh*
Maybe this is just a sign that I'm not supposed to exercise.

Also I chose Charmander as my starter when I got on it last night. The personality quiz on Explorers of Darkness (my first ever Pokemon game) had aligned me to Charmander, so I've always preferred that one out of the Kanto starters.

Just got my better entry for this weeks Poke Hunt. I hatched a 147IV Female Eevee and I've since evolved her into Glaceon. That's definitely a 1st place entry for sure.

Well still no Pokemon Go here in Canada. I've been checking the App Store on my iPhone and nothing listed under Pokemon Go except for a Pokedex. I want to test it out and see if it will actually be worth it. It doesn't really interest me all that much just from the videos/pictures people are posting. Maybe I need to play it myself, but it needs to get on the App Store first .

I'm also worried about whether or not I'll be able to get any Pokemon with it. I live in pretty much the middle of nowhere so I have doubts I'll be seeing any Pokemon/Gyms/etc. They really didn't think of places with small towns, mostly people who live in cities imo.

I'm pretty sure that's the case, but I'm not 100%. I logged in to the Pokemon website earlier, so that must have stopped working more recently. However, it's been about 5 hours and I still can't log into Pokemon Go.
My brother had texted me not too long ago that they were taking a break in his class (he's taking a couple summer classes) and that some people were playing Pokemon Go and it appeared to be working.
The only thing I can think of is that they may be using their Google account instead or something? I really don't know.
I looked into the problem just a little bit earlier and, iirc, people that were signing in with there Trainer Club account were having more problems. But it still said that others were still experiencing the crashes and other problems if they got logged in.

Then I saw the whole island is empty because we don't have access to Ingress, so there are no landmarks...

Also, not luck for me this month - got neither the Shellderboy, nor the Articuno.. (more sad about the Shellderboy, already have Articuno.)


Edit: just took a look at Pokemon Go - seems interesting, though I'm sure it will kill my phone. And of course it's not available in my country, what did I expect?

Sometimes I can't log in (or rather, I log in and as soon as I change to any other side on Gpx I am logged out again), but since I haven't seen anyone complain about it on the forums I blame it on my computer. So yeah, blamed this one on it as well...

And I wanna play Pokemon on my gameboy! But I forgot it at my parents place last time I was there and they have moved since then so nobody knows where it is... Hope they find it, but I fear someone threw it away, as my camera (SLR in a huge metal case) is nowhere to be found either
Also frustrated about finding a ne camera - picked a few interesting ones that were recommended to me, now I can't decde which one ti buy...

Despite my idjit move from the other day, I did still have my female Glaceon entered into the Poke Hunt. Her IVs were only 134 so I didn't really expect much. Maybe 2nd place, if I was lucky. But! She got 1st place!! Atta girl, Glaceon!!

I've also managed to beat the battle for the exploration despite my Pokemon's best IVs being 134 (Onix). Oh, did I mention, Onix wasn't even necessary? My IVed 88 Torkal swept the field. Nice! So I'm going to be mass clicking in a bit to search for the missing item. After that, I got a ton of walking to do.

In Pokemon Go!, my eldest just nabbed an Eevee lurking in our pantry. I'm still trying to figure out how to take "live" pictures while remaining in the game, but that isn't working out too well. Don't know how others are doing it. Gah. My strongest Pokemon right now is a Cubone with CP 130 and then I have a Metapod, Abra, Zubat, and Sandshrew all at CP 10. I'm fairing well with Poke balls and getting close to having enough candy to evolve my Rattata. As for my base Pokemon, I chose Squirtle, C 13. I'm a level 5 and trying to determine which team to join. Team Instinct (I really like their position), Team Mystic (my youngest really wants someone on her team), or Team Valor (my eldest and her friends are ganging up under that banner). So how about you? If you're playing, what team are you joining?

A 134 IV Female was always going to take first, since it had the gender bonus. It's the males who I thought were iffy for that IV spread.

No Go for me. Flip phone for another few days. {TracFone is phasing out my network, so I need to upgrade. New phone should be on its way.} But I don't know if the new one will be able to run Go either. I guess I'll find out once it gets here.

As for who to join? Idaknow. Maybe stick with your Yellow option? Since if you choose either of the others, your kidlets might think you're taking their side over their sibling? Or their sibling's side over theirs, depending upon the child in question. But then, the youngest might be unhappy that you DIDN'T choose her. Which leads me back to the "Idaknow" I originally said.

Yeah. Kids. Sheesh. I don't think my oldest cares too terribly which team I join, and I'm kind of liking us all being on different teams. But for the help in defending gyms... they might prove quite useful.

And ugh! I just tried to catch a Graveler... but the screen stuck and I think I lost it... and the 4 balls I threw at it. Grr. Argh. But when I went back in... S-U-C-C-E-S-S! That's the way we spell success. *happy dances* I even manged to get 10 extra points for a "nice throw". LOL And wow! CP 144. Sa-weet!

But I have the choice between using a not-totally-legal version from another country, or waiting till it comes to Germany whenever... choices x.x

And about the team thing... ask your elder kid (I didn't catch what age?) if it would mind if you joined their younger siblings team, if yes, join the third team, if no, join the younger sibling?

I'm excited about fighting at the gym later today (the ones showing up on my screen right now are too far away and, being at the office, I really am not at liberty to stroll over to them. LOL) Hopefully, between the three of us, we can hold that gym in the park. *determination*

Ah reading all of these comments makes me wish Pokemon Go was available in the UK - It's not on the App Store yet!
The only thing that's available for me is the Chat App!

But on GPX+ - forgot about the Poke Hunt but completed the Zekrom / Reshiram exploration in a couple of hours so I can't complain
Edit: Just got the Speed Reader achievement, definitely can't complain

Still no shiny Fossils either - and there's still about 80 fossils left in the inventory so fingers crossed!

Depending on your phone, you need to hold either the home button + power/lock button, or power/lock + volume. To be sure, just google something like "how to take screenshots *your phone model here*" and it will surely come up.

(btw I love to read your anecdotes about playing Pokémon with your kids. The closest thing to playing it with family I've had is my oldest nephew asking me for tips whenever he got stuck on Fire Red )


I haven't been doing explorations lately, so I decided to do as many as I can before the SWSH starts. I did the Deoxys explo last aurora, and I'm currently doing the one for Meloetta. I've been stuck in a berry task all day, but it's almost done now. I think I'll do the Diancie one next and after that I guess it will be Ditto > Unown > any one for items.
