I just captured Mespirit!

I got plain tired of doing it the old fashioned way of Mean Look and hoping Future Sight doesen't kill my Golbat. Anyway, what do you use most often in the case of moving pokemon (EX: Moltres, Zapdos, Articuno, Cresslia, Mespirit)

I weaken them and start throwing quick balls and hope one works.

PS: can you trade a pokemon w/a special ribbon over wi-fi if you have someone's fc

Personally, I don't like to hunt them down and take all the effort because the RNG tends to screw me over, so I just use Master Balls I've saved up from previous games to catch runners.

i just use quick balls and pray i caught mespirit full health 4th try with quick ball yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most of the time I end up doing the same thing, with using master balls. However, it blows to try to get them becuase they are so rare.

since i have all 3 games i trade masterballs over to the game i want to catch the moving pokemon in and use them

much easier than trying to set up mean look or use ultra balls

I use a master ball. Becuase of Emerald's clonning glitch I have a unlimited supply. I'm not usually one to cheat or take advantage of glitches, but trying to catch those little bastards pisses me off too much to do it by the book.

I usually go at night, so I stock up on Dusk Balls. If not, then, surprisingly, Poke Balls seem to work really well.

I like Quick Balls. Don't know why but I like keeping my Master Balls as "trophies." I haven't used a single one since the GBA games (I have like 20 now). I'm willing to trade them to people though. I've gotten quite a few deals because of them.

Don't capture Palkia/ Dialgia with a masterball, they have an 80% catch rate and most other ledgendaries have a 3% catch rate. I got Palkia with Ultra ball and Dialga with quick ball~! Yay!

Quick Balls or the combination of Mean Look/Shadow Tag and Ultra Ball...Except in Latias' case, i think I managed with Timer Balls...

Groan don't get me started on roaming pokemon. But anyway my technique for catching them involves getting a pokemon to weaken them to red, then paralyse them (much easier now with thunder wave as a easily obtainable tm), then hurl quick balls at them whenever I see them, or when that fails get a golbat etc, (who should now be fast enough to mean look them without it fleeing first) to mean look them and hurl dusk balls (i hunt at night)

(Sidenote: Dialga and Palkia are jokes, I caught so many on my Pearl with only a quickball as i was soft resetting for modest, then on platinum i caught them both, syncronised with a weak kadabra out front for modest and caught them both in one quickball each)

I don't waste the Master ball on something that you can encounter again. I use it for shinies.

I just got their health down and put them to sleep. Then I used Great ball (ultra balls are fail, amirite?)

i just keep throwing quick balls until one catches it, or i get a really strong wobbufet and use timer balls.

I caught Cresselia with a master ball, and I have yet to catch Mesprit. Ill prolly try quick balls or dusk balls. My fav ball is Dusk Ball.

I just clone Master Balls in Emerald then migrate them with the Pokémon to my 4th gen games and use those balls to catch the roaming Pokémon.. >.>
