Under no circumstances did I steal this plot from a friend of mine. Any and all connection with any other roleplay is completely coincidental.

Welcome to the world of pokemon. You know how it works. People are given or catch pokemon, and do whatever feels right with them, no matter if it's breeding, training, or putting them in contests.
But lately, things have been... different.
It seems to happen at random- some people are either born with traits of a pokemon, or gain them later in life. It never affects a trainer or anyone else that is often near pokemon. Why is this happening? The scientists and doctors seem to think that it's a virus. Since trainers, coordinators, and breeders don't get it, they believe that it is prevented by the presence of pokemon by building an immunity.
These half-people... gijinka, as they're sometimes called, seem to have the same abilities as the pokemon that they represent. However, there seems to be some discrimination between the gijinka and humans, mostly towards the gijinkas. Eventually, someone decided to build a school for the gijinka, so that they wouldn't have to deal with their burden alone. They could get helpful advice or tips from older, more experienced gijinka, and rarely, certain humans. Whenever a new gijinka is discovered, an invitation to join the school is mysteriously sent the next day. No one knows for certain who founded the school. Not many care enough to find out. All that matters is that this safe heaven has appeared, seemingly out of nowhere.

This is a big school, so there will be dorms. If you want to room with someone, feel free to ask me. Otherwise you'll be put with someone at random. (Room mates will be of the same gender only)
For now, ONE legendary per person (unless either I feel the need to let everyone have another or if you give me a good reason. Don't be afraid to ask.) Two legendaries now.
Students can be either Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors or Seniors.

Background: Fai was abandoned when he was very young. He had a brother, but hard times made Fai's brother fall ill. Fai did everything he could to save his brother to no avail. Soon after his brother died, Fai fell into a coma. He woke up with a letter in his hand and flygon-like qualities.

Thanks! I based Terra's personality on mine, and Katia's on my science teacher from last year. (who is seriously awesome. She lets us watch Mythbusters, and she let us push the Easy Button at the end of finals.)

Background: She was at a swim meet when some of the others noticed that she sprouted milotic parts.

Not always! There was one "serious" teacher who was kind of strict last year at my school and she ended up letting us eat cookies in class! See my point? They might be serious and strict 99% of the time and awesome the remaining 1%!

And as for my history teacher, he always made things fun. For example, when he was talking about how Columbus "discovered" America, he demonstrated by picking up one of the history textbooks and said "huh. I think I'll call it a book!" ...He also told us about the time he cut his leg with his Uncle Pete's WW2 machete (and then snuck it to school XD)
