SSB4 just came out on the 3DS a couple days ago, and along with it is a new ranking system called the Global Smash Power which is a rating of how many other players you have outscored.
What are your Global Smash rankings for the different modes? I just managed a 741,032 ranking in Smash Run with the Duck Hunt dog, plus I'm ranked at 691,319 in Classic mode. The stat Highest Global Smash Power says 784,541 currently, but I'm not sure where it gets that number from. EDIT- Global Smash Power is the number of players you outrank through all of your stats combined. Mines's at 801,379 now. I love the Duck Hunt pair. My highest GSP is 1,215,758, which would be Donkey Kong on Classic Mode 9.0
Others would include, in the same mode, Ganondorf at 1,144,788; Little Mac at 1,215,241; Greninja at 1,202,147 and Wii Fit Trainer at 1,182,814 When it comes to Smash Run, the same characters (including DK) have, respectively, 994,630; 1,010,985; 808,726; 1,086,911 and 909,251. -------------------- |

I'm not quite good enough to do Classic on 9.0. I've done 7.0 several times and could probably do an 8.0, but 9.0 is out of my range right now......

9.0 is really tough, not gonna lie; I fail it 7 times out of 10. It took me quite a few hours just to get it once with Greninja, DK and Little Mac followed. I've succeeded it with Bowser Jr., King Dedede, Duck Hunt and Charizard as well.
I absolutely love fighting Master Core though, it's a perfect boss imo, badass music and all. -------------------- |

I haven't fought the Master Core yet, but he does sound like an interesting boss. Is he only on 9.0?
I feel like they made All-Star mode harder too. In Brawl I was pretty good at it, cleared it with every character on either Very Hard or Intense modes. But now I can barely do Normal difficulty. My ranking is only 393,201, compared to 500,000+ for Smash Run, Classic, Target Blast, and Home-Run Contest Maybe I'm just not as good with the 3DS's controls as I was with the Wii remote and nunchuk...... and I've already changed my control setup three or four times. -------------------- |

If I remember correctly, Master Core is on 5.0+, you have to choose the black path at the end. To fight all his forms you need to be at like 7 or 8 minimum. If he starts as a giant humanoid, you're fighting all his forms.
I actually feel they made All-Star easier, at least if you use power characters like Bowser and Ganondorf: two smashes and the CPU usually dies since they take much more damage and knockback than usual. Also, got myself a nice 1,000,000+ GSP on Classic Mode with Robin. -------------------- |

I've chosen the black path on 5.0+ (I think 7.0 is the highest I've chosen it) before, and the fight was just against Master Hand and Crazy Hand.
Maybe. I've barely tried it, but I couldn't get much going with Ike and he's normally a powerhouse. Took me three tries just to beat Normal with Duck Hunt. With the exception of Ike, I was never real good with the heavy characters. I always preferred lighter, faster characters with good ranged attacks like Pikachu or Falco, or at least a good way to move sideways fast like Ike's side-B. I barely played today, apart from a few matches as Samus to get the 10 win challenge and a while spent in Training trying to figure out what Arceus did (it throws you to the ground really fast if you're in the air, but does nothing if you're already on the ground). -------------------- |

Huh, that's strange, the black path always gives me Master Core; after you do about 100 damage to them Crazy Hand disappears and Master Hand freaks out and transforms into him.
What I do is do my best to stay in the center of the stage (when it's not one of those damned moving stages I hate...) and do my side and up smashes. Dash attacks and grabs tend to work well; they basically react like the Fighting Mii Team except they actually recover. Yeah, Arceus feels a bit underwhelming considering its status as God. To be honest though, I'm much more of a For Glory player than a For Fun player... I feel like the random items and the gimmicky stages disrupt people's abilities to play well and I don't like losing because I smashed someone right when a Smart Bomb spawned in front of me or because my opponent got Dragoon or that... big cannon thingie. When I lose, I want it to feel like my fault, and with how ridiculously overpowered the items are in this SSB, it's hard for me to play with items at any time. Stages aren't as bad, but I've always hated moving stages because they don't put every character on the same footing: fast and jump-y characters have an instant advantage. The latter point is actually my problem with Smash Run; the map design (in my opinion, mind you) is terrible. Though it's based on Kirby Air Ride's City Trial, it doesn't start everyone on equal footing. High jumpers like Greninja and Zero Suit Samus have an instant advantage over characters like Little Mac, Ganondorf, Donkey Kong and others because of how large the world is vertically. Now I know a racing game is different than a fighting game and I can't think of a way to actually fix what I said, but it would have been nice to have things more equal. The final battles are also much less varied than the events in Air Ride and way too short. 1 minute matches make up a large part of the final battles and it's just too anti-climatic for me. I still like playing Smash Run, but it's definitely not as good as it could be. Edit: Wii U release date has been revealed: November 21st in NA and December 5th in Europe. Areus is definitely underwhelming. It should be made as an extremely rare but extremely powerful assist, instead of the somewhat uncommon and underpowered assist it currently is.
I'm definitely a For Fun player, but I also play with a large number of items turned off, such as the Dragoon and the other cannon thingy, all types of health items, and the motion sensor bombs. I also don't usually play with Smash Balls. I also prefer stock matches over timed ones. I'm not a fan of the Smash Run map either. Heavier characters that have custom items that reduce their speed (which I think reduces their jump) start the map practically unable to jump. And the ones that have bad vertical recovery moves just can't get anywhere. I sadly don't have a Wii U, and am not planning on getting one. Will probably be upgrading my Xbox 360 to an Xbox One instead. -------------------- |

Yeah I just blast my up smash but I also used customs and boosted the hell out of my defense. I also took the path with the easiest stage (based on the logo) so I don't have to struggle much to get there, and my goal is ultimately to lose my first life AFTER the scorpion. The first form of core's attacks take a bit to start up so you can tell what's coming, but typically for all forms of the core AND Master/Crazy Hand I just do one smash, wait for their counter attack, then I do another one. I play very patiently because playing aggressively will get you killed.
Also against the Scorpion I used Ike's Down Smash a ton. -------------------- |

I gotta say, the only thing kicking my ass in Classic Mode is the team battle... the teammate is so useless and I can't deal with two characters at the same time.
Also, my scores for Classic have all been done with no customs and all red. -------------------- |

I mainly do Classic, with the occasional All-Star thrown in and a single Smash Run which I sucked at. I just can't get the hang of it. Anyway:

Under stats, my GSP for Smash Run is 2,638,631 as Charizard. Classic is 2,189,718 as Yoshi. Solo All-Star is 1,680,885 as Lucario, and Group All-Star is only 269,996. Target Blast is 1,979,269 as Sonic, HRC is 1,836,894 as Ganondorf. I love/hate Smash Run, I don't play group All-Star much, and Stadium events are kinda meh to me.
