Imagine this hypothetical situation-

You're looking for a particular rare egg. Be it a novelty or that elusive Lunatone.

You refresh the Shelter, hoping you'll get lucky. And when you do, there it is! Your rare egg is in there, the first time you've seen it in weeks, or even ever.

BUT!

At the top of the page, there's the elusive Little Man, Treasure Chest or Manaphy egg. And of course, you can only click one! If you click the egg, you'll miss the treasure chest or egg. If you click the rare egg in the shelter, you'll miss the banner chance.

If it were me, I'd click whatever was in the banner. The rare egg will come around again, eventually. The treasure chests and eggs are far more elusive.

But what would YOU do?

This is a no brainer for me. I will go for whatever is in the banner.
If it's a Treasure Chest: Sell it.
If it's one of the other two, hello new party member.

Probably get what is on the banner. Because I could miss the egg on the shelter and anyway I would probably see it another time.

if it was the treasure chest or little man then i would click them and hope for the egg i wanted at a later date but if it was manaphy i would give it a miss seeing that i already have 3...

I'd go for the egg. I don't care much about Manaphy or Missigno and only really want them for dex completion. I have all of the account upgrades except for the item finder and I'm not in a rush to get one. Points are easy to earn for me since I mass click a lot. I'd be too paranoid to use the summon item.

Depends on what egg I was looking for. If it was a legend or novelty, I would definitely go for that.
Otherwise, whatever's in the banner.

It depends. If the banner item was a treasure chest or little man, I'd grab the egg. If it was Manaphy, I'd grab that unless the egg was a rare novelty or legendary.

I'd take the Shelter egg. Seeing as how the only thing I've ever seen on the banner is the Little Man, it would be difficult if it were a treasure chest or Manaphy egg... but things are harder to find in the Shelter. I've never seen a novelty or legendary in the Shelter... EVER. So I'd definitely take that.

Little man or little blue egg- Get the egg from the shelter.

If it were a treasure chest or the little man, I'd go for that, but if it was the manaphy egg, I'd ignore it, since I already have one anyways.

I would give up the shelter eggs since I with my failing luck I won't see another little man/manaphy when I have room again. (never knew lunastone was that rare btw o.o).
Btw you don't really have the time to think about it lol, the shelter egg would probably be gone 5 seconds after you realize what it is.

If it was the little man or tresure chest(to most likely sell), I'd take that. If it's manophy, i'd take the egg. But if the egg was a ditto or legendary, i'd take that no matter what was in the banner.

Banner. I've seen a total of 3 banner items during my time here. A rare egg I can get any time, banners are harder.

I'm going to assume that the egg in the shelter is something really, quite rare here. So, let's say there was a mewtwo and/or giratina egg just sitting there, completely unclicked, in the shelter. If there's a little man, it's not really worth it to me, I seem to find him more often than I find normal items :/

If it's the chest I think... I'd still go for the egg.... same with manaphy. So, um.

Okay, let's assume the rare pokemon is one I'm not that interested in. Let's say it's, like, lugia. Then I might go for the chest and either use it or sell it depending on the item. Still not sure about the manaphy.

I guess to a fairly large extent it depends on the pokemon. A sure fire pokemon-get is pretty tempting compared to a chest.

Treasure Chest, because I could sell the contents for stones to evolve some of my Pokemon that need to evolve. Evolve > Party Member to me. Plus, the egg may still be there after you see the chest.

Definitely pick the little man/treasure chest/whatever else is up there. It's rarer. You'll get Lunatone or whatever it is next time. The stuff in the "up there" part is a once in a lifetime chance, probably.

This is one of those easier questions. I'd so go for the Manaphy egg 1st,, rare egg in Shelter 2nd, Lil Man 3rd and then the Treasure Chest. I know I can only pick one, and so my choice was the Manaphy egg. But if the opportunity presented itself again, I'd go for the Shelter again the next time.

I've never noticed (I hear it is best, with my amount of clicks, to say noticed instead of seen) the Lil Man and have seen only 1 chest. I never clicked the chest. Looked more like a glitch on the screen then a chest of treasures. So if the chance came by again - I'd go for Manaphy before a rare egg. But only the Manaphy egg. Everything else lines up after the rare egg.

Stupid question, but say if you had two spots free in your party. Could you get the shelter egg first, and then pick up whatever's in the banner? Since it's only the dialogue box which shows up - it's not really refreshing the page as such, so I was just curious.

Though I'd probs go for the banner. Unless I was shelter stalking, in which case I'd go for the egg in the shelter since I fail to see the thing in the banner.

Click the banner, then quickly try to get the rare egg. If I didn't get the shelter egg, tough luck, but hey, I got Missingno, Manaphy or 50k

I would say tresure cheast/ lil man. Well, only if i notice that their their. i had that happen where i clicked my egg and their was a pause, i look up, and it leaves. cuss my egg got done laoding.

It depends... lets say it was between a Crystal Onix and the Little Man, I'd go for the Onix. P: B-but if it was just a normal egg and not a novelty/legendary I'd probably go for whatever was in the banner.

It matters what it is

Manaphy Egg:get the rare egg, i already have a Manaphy egg

Treasure Chest:get it, and sell it

Little Man: get it, cuz MissingNo. is on my want list

MissingNo. as rare egg, and Little Man: does it matter? I'll get a MissingNo. egg either way

MissingNo. as rare egg, and Treasure Chest or Manaphy Egg: MissingNo. this is very rare

Legend/Novelty egg, and Treasure Chest or Manaphy Egg: the egg probly

Lunatone as rare egg, and Treasure Chest or Manaphy Egg: Treasure chest if there, Lunatone if other

chances are, if I want it so badly, it'll be cuter then anything the little man or the treasure chest'll give me. manaphy's a little iffy. but pretending im looking for jirachi, i'd totally choose jirachi

lol, I'm not sure how to answer this. I have all the breedable novelties and rares, so unless the shelter egg was an abandoned ditto or legendary it's not going to pique my interest. I already have Manaphy, MissingNo. and all the account upgrades too, so the banner isn't worth much either.

If I had to choose I guess I'd only go for the Treasure Chest, and use it; though I probably won't get my summon.

I'd be very torn if this happened to me. DX If it was the little man, I'd pass him up. Both of my Missingno came from the Shelter anyway. XD If it was Manaphy, I'd take Manaphy. I want one. ;__; Never seen one. And if it was a Chest, I'd spaz and take the Chest. I know giving up that rare egg would be terrible, but there are more awesome people out there breeding what you want, so it'll come again... Unless it was a legendary egg, which I'd take that over anything up top.

The egg. Definitely the egg. Granted, I already have a Manaphy and a Missingo, but even then, I know one of those will come around eventually. But a legendary? Gonna take MUCH more time. Even a novelty I don't have and want will bother me more.

Maybe I'd go for a treasure chest if it wasn't a rare egg, though (e.g. if I can find it in the Lab later and am just being stubborn...). But that banner thing will happen again. And it DOES glitch.

I'd click the little man/treasure chest/manaphy egg, no question about it. I'd certainly be very tempted if the rare egg in the shelter happened to be a ditto, but the thing is, I could click it or any other egg or pokémon in the shelter only to learn that someone else had gotten to it first and I'd end up with bupkiss, having forfeited whatever was on the banner. There's no risk of someone else grabbing something on the banner first.

This is a hard choice for me. I have only ever seen the little man twice and got a missing no egg each time I seen him. But I am wanting all 4 forms of the missing no and I haven't seen him for months and months. I have also never seen a treasure chest and only seen Manaphy once but I had a full party. I think I would click the little man.

If egg in shelter was novelty or legendary I'd probably go for that but if it was only rare I'd go for banner. Also going for novelty or legendary in shelter chances are you would be told someone had already got it.

Would the thing in banner disappear if you clicked an egg in shelter 1st? As you wouldn't be going to another page or anything.

It all depends on the egg in the shelter. If it's just a rare, definitely would pass it up and go for the banner. Novelty or legendary (not phione) I'd pick the egg. I probably wouldn't even notice the banner if I saw a novelty or legendary in the shelter and got the little man/manaphy/treasure chest because I'd be too busy clicking the egg as quick as possible.

It is possible to open the treasure chest / little man / Manaphy egg in a new tab when clicked on and then pick up the egg?
