The following thread and subsequent RP thread is a Private RP between Darkrow and Dorito Ninja (ME). You are welcome to read along, but please no posting. When Cyrus disappeared into the Distortion World, Team Galactic fell apart. Charon was arrested and Mars and Jupiter went their own way, leaving Saturn in charge of Team Galactic's assets. Unsure of what to do, Saturn began to look into new ways to bring Team Galactic back to power. One night, when looking through Cyrus' computer archives, Saturn stumbled upon something he had not seen before: Project Hybrid Status Update:
Snowpoint Facility online and operational. Pokemon DNA extraction process begun Research into Genetic splicing at dead end Please contact with advice
Admin MercuryThe message was 3 months old. Intrigued, Saturn made the journey to Snowpoint City. Using his contacts He found the facility, hidden on the far side of Lake Acuity. Meeting up with this Admin Mercury Saturn witnessed what Cyrus hadn't let him know. It seemed Cyrus also desired a new kind of soldier to lead into his new world. He had tasked the admins stationed there to research he possibility fo combining Pokemon DNA to create new creatures that only obeyed them. Mercury informed Saturn that while the DNA had been extracted from multiple Pokemon, the separate strands were too volatile to bind together. It was then that Saturn hit upon an idea: if the Pokemon DNA was too volatile, too varied to be combined together, what if it could be combined with DNA that was more structured, more stable; like human DNA? For the next 6 months, Team Galactic continued their experiments. Using volunteered Grunts or Lost Trainers captured in the snowstorms, dozens of Human-Pokemon Hybrids were created. Progress was slow, and many initial creations were failures. However, slowly but surely, the Hybrids became stabilised Physically, they kept their humanoid shapes, but they gained many physical traits of the Pokemon they were combined with. However, the mental stability of the subects were varied; Some retained the power of speech and independent thought, others regressed to a beastlike state, relying on instinct instead of logic. Soon Team Galactic began to train the Hybrids, turning them into living weapons, soldiers who never questioned their master's orders. The new Hybrids began to improve in intelligence, and Galactic Scientists believe they are close to a major breakthrough, one that can allow them to create even more powerful Hybrids. However, not all the Hybrids were willing to co-operate. A few have rebeled against Team Galactic's actions. These rebels were quickly restrained and imprisoned. They were then used in many cruel experiments to work out the powers and limits of the Hybrids. Then they were put down when they burned out. But now, 4 Hybrids have broken free of their cells. Working together they must escape the Galactic facility, and find some way to survive in a cruel world that should have no place for them. Hybrid Form (click to showhide) Name: Full name

Admin Neptune (click to showhide) Name: Neptune
Age: 35
Gender: Female
Appearance: Neptune is a tall (over six feet), rather shapely woman who wears a long white lab coat over her Team Galactic uniform. Her hair is very long, reaching the back of her knees (which, of course, means it must be taken of quite rigorously), and is dyed a very pale teal color, much paler than the hair of the lowly grunts. Showcasing her love of herself, Neptune’s Galactic uniform is much more similar to Jupiter’s than Mars’s, yet still different from those two women: it’s much more akin to a dress that covers one leg and has an opening that shows the other leg, in this case, the left leg. Unlike her fellow commanders, Neptune wears thick white gloves, not wanting to soil her hands with anything. However, despite this, she still opts to paint her fairly long nails blue. Similarly, despite wearing small heeled boots akin to Jupiter’s, she paints her toenails the same shade of royal blue. She also wears quite a bit of jewelry, having a few golden necklaces, large earrings and few jewel-incrusted hairclips. Also, her eyes are a deep violet hue.
Neptune, as previously mentionned, is a bit on the round side, having a plump stomach, large thighs, round face and a somewhat prominent chest. This, combined with her height, slight wrinkles and her usual posture (which makes it clear she’s the authority figure) makes her quite hard to miss and impossible to mistake for someone else. As nigh-on scary as she can be, Neptune truly is rather beautiful for a woman her age, but the pair of small blue-rimmed oval glasses she wears don’t make her seem approachable at all. Regarding Neptune’s lab coat, it has a lot of pockets that are filled with pens, notebooks and so on. Her pokéballs are also in the lab coat’s pockets, but inside one of the interior ones.
Personality: Neptune is a tough, vain woman who always seems relaxed, flashing a calm smile at everyone she meets. Despite her rather intimidating appearance, she is very approachable by anyone within Team Galactic, but she clearly sees the grunts as lower beings than her. Despite her usual calm yet authoritative behavior, she does raise her voice at times and has somewhat of a short temper, sometimes coming close to having temper tantrums before calming herself down. Being an Admin within Team Galactic is very telling of the kind of person the aging Neptune is, however: she is absolutely uncaring of other people’s lives, to the point of being nearly psychopathic. Furthermore, Neptune is very self-centered, and while she’s quite approachable and friendly with others, it’s quite clear that, in her mind, she (and her pokémon) comes before everyone else. If an accident happens, then she will make sure she’s fine before saving others. This is a large part of the criticism aimed towards her within the Galactic Admins.
However, her sheer brilliance and talent are the reason she’s still within Team Galactic, not to mention her loyalty to the villainous team as a whole. There’s a reason Neptune works with Mercury and was trusted to work on such an important and secret project, after all. She is definitely one of the stronger brains within the villains, something people say is due to her not being afraid to test theories hands on. As you might have guessed, Neptune is much more suited to action than planning. This leads her to being seen as a very risky person despite her being very conscious of every risk her experiments could engender and her taking every safety precaution possible. Whether it be success or failure, however, she never feels any guilt for either ending or ruining lives, seeing it as something necessary for Team Galactic’s goals.
As previously mentionned, Neptune is vain, very much so. She takes immense pride in her looks, especially her hair. In fact, she often has a yellow comb on her at all times and is prone to playing with or combing her hair absent-mindedly at all times. As a result of her vanity, insults or negative comments about her appearance will immediately set her off, as will any comment about her age, something she’s very insecure about. Her vanity will never take over her focus, however, though she is prone to whining about it afterwards. In fact, sometimes she can act very childish, especially when it’s revealed that she’s a very sore loser who often refuses to admit a loss.
Pokemon: Besides the Team Galactic staples Golbat and Bronzong, Neptune’s signature pokémon surprisingly isn’t a Poison Type: it’s a Normal Type that shares her vanity, Lopunny. Neptune’s Lopunny is a force to be reckoned with, knowing a wide variety of moves (mainly thanks to TMs) such as Ice Beam, Shadow Ball, Charge Beam and Grass Knot. It also knows all the Fighting Type moves Lopunny can learn as well as Fire Punch and Copycat. Neptune’s Lopunny is widely feared in combat, even more so due to its uncharacteristic violent and sadistic behavior, though it always acts adorable and cuddly with its master. Hybrid Character 1 - Marisol Twiss (click to showhide) Name: Marisol Twiss
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Hybrid Species: Skuntank
Appearance: Marisol is a very overweight young lady, weighing upwards of 300 pounds and boasting subpar stamina and agility, as you would expect from such a large young woman. With wide hips, a bulging belly that hangs down a few inches and a constantly visible double chin, Marisol is hard to miss in a crowd. Though she has lost a lot of weight during a stay with Team Galactic (she was even bigger), she is still very large and not very athletic, which made her an easy target for Team Galactic as it made her very unlikely to escape. The overweight Skuntank Hybrid’s formerly blonde hair has turned dark purple with a jagged white line in the middle, like a Skuntank’s tail. Her hair is also quite a bit longer, going from reaching her neck to reaching her past her shoulder blades as well as being extremely rebellious, making it very hard for her to keep it straight and kempt.
Marisol’s eyes have gone from pale blue to almost black due to the experiments done to turn her into a Skuntank Hybrid. She has also gained sharp teeth and claws. The most noticeable change, however, is clearly the huge Skuntank tail poking out of her tight white Team Galactic bodysuit-like uniform, the tail with which she can use Poison attacks as well as Flamethrower, the latter of which frightens and slightly hurts her. Surprisingly, Marisol doesn’t stink at all, which makes her easy to approach. Marisol’s clothing preferences tend to include warm jackets, jeans and stitched hats. Generally, she made her own clothes as well. She requires reading glasses.
Personality: Marisol is a passionate and curious journalist who is clearly more brains than brawn. She is very knowledgeable and intelligent, but she is definitely prone to getting too overzealous and bold. When excited (which isn’t rare considering her general cheery behavior), Marisol starts talking quickly and switches subjects often in one spiel, sometimes ending up saying nonsense. Though not very athletic, she is often capable of finding ways around her lack of said athleticism through her wit. Furthermore, when determined to do something, she’ll often put her physical well-being aside.
Marisol is far from being shy, often being the first one to speak out about something or someone. However, at the same time, she is extremely friendly and even admits that she gives too many chances to people. Nonetheless, if you draw her anger she is very much the kind to keep grudges, but even then she’s often too nice to be mean with people (though there are exceptions; see: Team Galactic). Marisol is also prone to joking about herself, a way to cope with her low self-esteem. Similarly, she’ll always put others before herself, feeling like she’s not worth more than anyone else. Since becoming a Skuntank Hybrid, only one thing has changed in her behavior: whenever surprised she will let out a dreadful toxic fluid that smells absolutely terrible.
This overweight Hybrid is a being driven by an endless thirst for knowledge, neverending curiosity and wonder. She also wishes to spread this knowledge to anyone willing to listen, and before being captured she was studying to become a teacher. While incredibly knowledgeable on pokémon, she did not own one prior to being transformed into a Hybrid. Despite the gruesome and painful transformation process, Marisol still is yearning for knowledge and it is her main reason for escaping, the boredom and sorrow becoming too much for her to handle. Motivated once again, the large Hybrid is looking to escape, hopefully saving a few others along the way. She is, however, well-aware that becoming a teacher and a journalist is now out of her reach, who would ever hire a freak like her? Hybrid Character 2 - Choi Lihua (click to showhide) Name: Choi Lihua
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Hybrid Species: Nosepass
Appearance: The youngest of the escapees, Lihua is of Chinese descent, which explains her slanted eyes as well as her name. Lihua is short, being about 5’5”, and quite thin. She is often seen standing pigeon-toed, more so when embarrassed. The young girl’s body has gone through two very visible changes to make her seem more like a Nosepass; the first being that her nose is now larger (but not in a cartoony way) and is bright red and magnetic and the second being that her skin is now dark gray and made out of angular rocks, giving her the appearance of a statue. Due to the latter enormous change, Lihua is now extremely heavy and strong to support her new weight. As a result, stealth is very difficult, as is finding furniture that’ll support her.
Despite being a teenager, Lihua has a very flat chest and can sometimes be mistaken for a boy, at least until she speaks, as her voice is high and very feminine. She is still unable to control the magnetism in her nose and is very insecure about it, often wearing scarves and such to hide it. Quite fortunately for her, the Galactic uniform that was given to her has a very large collar, enabling her to hide her nose under it. She is also ashamed of her rocky skin, preferring baggy clothes. In general, however, Lihua is small and very cute, even with her rocky skin and big red nose.
Personality: Once an outgoing, loud girl, the sheer amount of torture Lihua has gone through has rendered her very submissive and easily afraid, flinching when people raise their voice or even just make a sudden movement. She keeps to herself a lot and gets embarrassed extremely easily. However, when speaking, she doesn’t stutter and isn’t quiet, signs of her old personality reemerging. Lihue, though submissive, will take any opportunity she can to escape the Galactic Hideout, if only to save herself from more torture. She doesn’t talk much and is a victim of frequent nightmares and night terrors as well.
Though she’s frequently in a sad mood, it’s not too hard to cheer her up or make her laugh or even just befriend her, though she’ll be very hesitant to call anyone a friend. A big part of her sorrow is her knowing that her parents will reject her in her current form, meaning that she’s practically an orphan. She is also faced with somewhat of an existential crisis: what is she supposed to do with her life now? She’s nothing but a freak and an outcast who will never have a job or be able to live normally… is it really all worth it? At the moment, though, her only goal is to escape the hellhole she’s in. She would much rather die in the cold than stay there and keep being useful to Team Galactic, that’s for sure.
Lihua’s transformation has given her an array of very useful powers, however. Firstly, her magnetic nose is very useful to get metallic objects from afar such as keys. Secondly, her weight makes her ideal for tackling through obstacles or pinning people down, as does her increased strength. Thirdly, she now has access to Electric attacks, enabling her to short circuit electronic devices with ease. Finally, she now always knows where the north is, enabling her to never truly get lost. However, all this comes at a rough price: she cannot swim anymore and her body sometimes cramps up due to the intense stress it’s put under 24/7.

Hybrid Character 1 - Raymond Thompson (click to showhide) Name: Raymond Thompson (Ray for short) Age: 22 Gender: Male Hybrid Species: Tauros Appearance (click to showhide) Personality: Ray is a smart and studious man, who is often questioning the world around him. He marvels at the way Pokemon and the world work and exist, and pursues knowledge wherever he can. Around others, Raymond is cool and calm, and very friendly to new people. He is somewhat overconfident in his abilities sometimes, and doesn't like to admit when he's wrong. He is also something of a womanizer, not wanting to attach himself to anyone just yet, content to wander life freely, and study the world as he goes. He has a good sense of humor, and doesn't mind helping out those in need. However, Ever since he became a hybrid, Raymond has noticed changes in the way he behaves. Because he was fused with the DNA of a Tauros, Raymond has found himself becoming more and more angry, and quick to flare up in his temper. As such, he has become more focused that ever on escaping from Team Galactic and trying to find a possible cure or way to control himself. For now he has taken up calming meditation techniques to try and help. Hybrid Character 2 - Tyson Davies/Kai (click to showhide) Name: Tyson Davies/Kai Age: 19 Gender: Male Hybrid Species: Sharpedo Appearance (click to showhide) Personality: The first thing Tyson will do when you meet him is say something sarcastic. It's pretty much the only thing he can do well, besides hunting. A wise-cracker till his dying day, Leo always has some smart-alec thing to say for every situation. Usually he mouth ends up landing him in trouble, but he is always prepared for that more-than-likely outcome. The main reason he does it however is to make sure that no-one grows too close to him. Tyson is very much a loner. The reason for this is very simple; He's scared of what will happen if he let's Kai out near anyone You see, Tyson was one of the first Hybrids to retain human intelligence after he was experimented on. As such he was also one of the first to speak out and rebel against Team Galactic. Because of this, Tyson was subjected to torturous experiments and gruelling tests, going through intense pain and trauma as well as watching his fellow Hybrids be killed by going through the same experience. However his Pokemon instinct relished in the pain and suffering of others, bringing about a twisted split personality; Kai. Kai is a sadistic, ill-tempered, bullying psychopath. He relishes in the pain he can inflict on whoever gets in his way, be they Team Galactic grunts or his fellow Hybrids. Kai initially tried to become the dominant personality, but Tyson's willpower and mental strength managed to keep him at bay. Now the two live in tandem, with Tyson managing to normally keep control. However, when he becomes stressed or tired in battle, his mind can slip, and Kai can take over. Tyson finds himself with little time to himself these days, constantly battling to make sure Kai doesn't take permanent control of his mind, but it's a battle he is tiring of. Admin Mercury (click to showhide) Name: Mercury
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Appearance: Mercury is quite short, at only 5' 9''. His hair is a dark silver, which is midlength and slicked back, with a small goatee of the same colour. He wears his Team Galactic uniform a lot like Saturns, but with a low cut collar. He also wears a black waistcoat with several pockets for holding pens notepads and other tools. On his feet are formal black slimline shoes, which he finds more stylish than the large white boots his colleagues wear He has a very sharp face, with thin nose and tight lips. His eyes are a smoky green colour.
Mercury's build is very thin, with gangly arms and long legs. this with his thin face and sharp features, give him a look of gauntness, and he looks much older than he is. However, He is much more physically fit than his body suggests, and should not be taken lightly.
Personality: Mercury is a skittish and seemingly high-strung individual, as he always seems to be three places at once. He is a very intelligent and respected individual member of Team Galactic, and despite his eccentric ways, he does get on well with Neptune and his subordinates. His quick-thinking and broad knowledge-base allows him to adapt to many situations that he finds himself in, and he's usually on hand to quickly fix problems caused by Neptune's risks occasionally backfiring.
However, Mercury is overall not a nice guy. Underneath his stressed out exterior lies a devious and conniving mind, the one that has led to the creation and destruction of many Hybrids. He takes a sick joy in his work is never afraid to step over anyone who might threaten his work. He view the Hybrids not as people, or even as Pokemon. To Mercury, all Hybrids are his soldiers, his pets to do with as he please, and woe betide anyone who tries to get in his way. He is also very cunning, and seems to know everything his enemies are thinking before they do. This also makes him a very good strategist and dangerous foe in battle
Pokemon: Besides the standard Brozong and Golbat, Mercury also has his own spy within the Snowpoint facility. That is his very own Pokemon, Weavile. Weavile is the main source of all Mercury's information. Being as Quiet as it is cunning, Weavile can be anywhere in the facility at any one time without anyone noticing, meaning everyone ha to be on extreme caution not to get caught out by it. Weavile is also extremely bloodthirsty, taking a sadistic pleasure in personally taunting and testin the Hybrids when Mercury commands it. It has a wide range of powerful moves to back up its high speed, including Night Slash, Ice Beam, Poison Jab, Dark Pulse, X-Scissor and Shadow Claw
