Talk about whatever you want, whether it's GPX related or something going on in your personal life, just be sure to read the rules first before posting. There's always someone on the forums to read and respond to your posts, so chat away and maybe you'll meet some great people!

Rules

• Regular forum rules still apply here. Basically don't double post. Don't ask for clicks every time you fill your party. Unless it gets out of hand*, I'm okay with you linking to an exploration Pokemon who needs a specific berry.
  
  *out of hand meaning I don't want to see Pokémon being linked just for leveling or if they need drinks for happiness. These kinds of interactions can be handled just fine by being in your parties and signatures.
  
  
• Do not post your shinies here, there's a http://forums.gtsplus.net/index.php?showtopic=5491 for that. Discussing them is OK though! Just make sure you add content to your post.
  
  
• Make sure your post contains worthwhile content. If you're posting an exploration Pokémon to be fed berries then be sure to add other content to your post. Same with discussing shinies. Find people to reply to or start a discussion yourself! Your post must, with the shiny portion and berry feeding hypothetically removed*, not read as if you're talking to yourself. To clarify, your post should not be an out-loud thought to yourself, and should contain more general discussion than just information on your current shiny luck.
  
  *if you were to read your post, skipping over any mention of shinies, the post should still sound like a good post.
  
  If any posts are found breaking this rule then they will be instantly deleted and handed a 10% warn.
  
  
• Do not post your GPX+ gear grinders in this thread either. There's also a http://forums.gtsplus.net/index.php?showtopic=49472 for that. This is mostly for raging at staff or site events that you don't like.

Monthly Raffle

Nominations are now gone, and I'm using post count to determine how many entries you have into the raffle. The first 19 posts you have will count as one entry, and every ten after that will count as an extra. Think of it as the first number of your post count is how many entries you have. To see what your post count is, click on the number of replies any certain thread has. Nothing else on the site will influence the amount of entries you receive, so if you'd like a chance to win, then post here frequently!

The raffle is what chooses who gets to choose what's in next month's egg distribution. There are no other site advantages other than that, and even then the whole site gets a chance at that Pokémon that you chose!

How to get an egg from this event

• You must keep at least one slot open in your party.
• You MUST have logged in sometime on GPX+ in the last two weeks.
• You can not be in the restricted group.

IMPORTANT EVENT NOTES

1. No, you do NOT have to be online at the time I am sending out eggs.
2. These eggs do NOT show up in the Lab for the event. They are sent out randomly.
3. There is ONE set shiny for each Pokémon, but every other egg has a regular chance of being shiny.
4. If you obtain ONE of the eggs from this event, you will NOT be able to obtain another one from this same event. This means if you get an egg on day 1 of this event, you can't get an event egg from any other day during this event. By the way, abandoning an event egg does nothing. So if you get one you might as well keep it and be happy.
5. If we find any accounts being made just to get eggs from the event then they will be immediately banned along with your main.
6. If you were a winner of the raffle, your chosen Pokémon will be spawned into your party on the day of the event. It won't be forced shiny, but there's always a small chance just like any other egg! This will not count as an event egg and you can still receive one from the event.
7. There is no guarantee that you'll receive an egg.
8. Eggs chosen will not be available to pick from again for 3 months. If x egg was in the January egg distribution, then it can not be chosen again until April.
9. The event runs at 4 p.m. server time.

Event dates and what's being handed out

• September 2nd: Palkia - Winner: Wingcap - 200 eggs
• September 3rd: Shaymin - Winner: Gato - 200 eggs
• September 4th: Fake Groudon - Winner: Makoto Naegi - 200 eggs
• September 5th: Entei - 200 eggs
• September 6th: Suicune - 200 eggs

September always makes me a little sad, but my birthday is in a few days, plus I have a game (Monster Hunter Stories) and a fun weekend to look forwards to in the coming week.

I can't wait to try the new explorations, once I get DotW out of the way.

I didn't even realize it was September. I was way too busy dealing with Hurricane Harvey. :/ So glad my house/neighborhood is fine. But man, did that put a wrench in a lot of plans that I had. (Go away, Irma. Don't you do that, too.)

Guess I'll attempt to go for Suicune as my event egg. Knowing me, though, I'll just forget.

And yeah, go do the new explorations!

What do you mean it's already September? I could have sworn it was January not that long ago.

Anyway, I am planning on doing both of those explorations. I'm doing Xerneas' first. It seems OK enough so far. As for the event, I haven't decided on which one yet.

Well I'm done the Yveltal exploration and I was the first one to complete it! The exploration was so much fun, I'm glad that I decided to stay awake to finish it. It took me one hour and 19 minutes to complete the exploration. I'll probably do the Xerneas exploration later in the month, for now I'm giving my fingers a break.

I'm not sure which of the Pokemon I'll go after for the distribution. I'll just try to remember to leave a space in my party and get whatever comes to me first.

Started the Xerneas exploration, and after this one, I might go for Yveltal, but I'm also missing Landorus, and I really want to complete the set and get the mirror and change forms for all three... But getting both Xerneas and Yveltal this month also sounds nice...

I'm officially on vacation for the next 10 days . I was supposed to work tomorrow from 9 to 12:30 but there's going to be a power outage from 7am to 12pm. I would only be able to work for 30 minutes so my day off was switched around. I worked today from 9 to 12 so I am officially DONE. I am so glad, I really needed a break, now I can catch up on sleep.

I'm going to start the Xerneas exploration in a few days, just so any Pokemon I might need will be available. I rushed through the Yveltal exploration just so I wouldn't have to worry about finding Pokemon for tasks. I'm happy that I finished it though, now if only this Yveltal would hatch shiny.

September? Already? WHEN? did that happen?!

Hey All. It's been super busy this past month as my work held its annual business meeting at the beginning of the month and then we were busy packing up the old office, going through tons of tons of TONS! of paperwork for shredding and recycling, and then moving into our new, much more compact, location.

With all of that going on it has been difficult to be a "visible presence" out here. I didn't do well with last month's scavenger hunt, but that just makes me a tad more eager to do better next month. Especially since I shouldn't have to be involved with the Board meeting at all! *happy dancing*

So I'm considering returning to the exploration side of the website. I've missed doing them. Guess there's no time like the present to just dive right in, right? LOL

As for the Event Eggs this month - they're all really good choices! Thank you to our winners for their Pokemon choices. *cheers* I don't have any specific one I'm interested in since I like them all so I'll just let the spots be open and see what comes - if any. In the mean time... I think I'll go with one of the newer explorations to get the ball rolling again.

Oh! And enjoy your Labor Day weekend, everyone! I hope you find yours relaxing.

Happy September everyone! Might finish DotW quickly so I can get the two new explorations.

Also, my tri-wing arrived today, so I've spent 4 hours nerve-wrackingly replacing the batteries in my GBA games. Went with the ol' ply the contacts + electric tape everywhere method, so half of that was me trying not to scratch the internals with a flathead.

I completed both new explorations as of earlier today. This has to be the first time in a while that I did the two of them I could do for the month. Usually I'd get lazy with that second one.

Last month I managed to finish some shiny hunts I had piled up so I'm satisfied. I'm especially happy about finishing my sh. Bunnelby hunt, which took me more than a year mostly because sometimes I couldn't find any eggs. Well, it's finished now.

I started reviewing the names I gave my old shinies and I'm now renaming them and naming all my shinies. When I'm free of course haha.

Swsh votes are up and these are my votes:

May change them though (not snorunt, I really want snorunt to be a swsh choice, please vote!! XD)

Also, anyone having trouble with the new explos? My, I have to refresh so many times for an egg of a task mon to appear. Well, at least I can take my notes, and I'm liking the explo a lot. I'm doing The Antlers of Life.

Wow I can`t believe it is September already, another new school year. Summer just passed by so quickly. I am excited though for fall since I love the season.

I need to complete that burning desire still, but hopefully I will be able to try one of the new explorations before the end of the month.

For the shiny hunt, I know I will definitely be voting for whismur. Not sure yet on the other two options since I got a shiny bounsweet in August and salandit was chosen last time.

I'm having no trouble with the one I'm doing, the Kami one. This is the fastest I've ever gotten 65 berries for a task, I don't even need to post it here because it'll be done by the time I get the link. But yeah, it's the first day, new explos with the same tasks on each, of course everybody'll be looking for the same Pokémon. It should clear up in a couple days when people start to breed the eggs and what not. another reason why my choice of explo was smart

That doesn't make sense. Since the raid battle mechanic is already in the game, releasing the legendary beasts is a serve-side change. It's not related with the client-side at all. The reason why legendary beasts where kind of scarce yesterday is because the legendary birds+Lugia are still out there when they shouldn't be, therefore occupying "space" in the Gyms.

Friend pointed out the voting went up, so I chose Dhelmise/Gligar/Spheal, since I'm not too sure on what I'd be keen on hunting from Gen 7 that I haven't already. As for the raffle, I'll try for Suicune, the rest of the choices don't have shinies I'm particularly thrilled with.

Finished both the new explorations. Either one of the duo would be cool to have as a shiny, but even if not, I do need a neutral Xerneas for my legendary collection.

On the topic of the Kalos trio, I'm really curious about how Zygarde's formes are going to be handled. I don't imagine the whole merging/separation thing will be implemented, since they didn't go that route for Kyurem, but I've got a couple extra 50%s ready to go just in case.

Thanks for pointing this out! It seems that they offer a better discount if you link your Nintendo Account, so I did just that, but the 36% discount isn't showing up in the shop. I did get a 20% discount on nintendogs+cats using their reward system, so at least that's nice

It doesn't appear right after linking account. I had to wait 3-5 hours before it finally showed up in eshop. So all you need to do is wait.

I'm a little bit tired with the SWSH focused around Alola Pokedex, so I'll vote Snorunt, Weedle and Squirtle, but can change it - probably will stay with Snorunt and Squirtle, but Weedle is totally random. Still surprising for me that Squirtle haven't been chosen before

Hello, y'all! Excited for the coming SWSH (though I still can't vote as of now, but that doesn't matter). Anyway, I'm so relieved that my laptop is not consuming that much data anymore (I can enjoy GPX+ on a bigger screen. Yay!), I didn't know that Windows 10 eats a lot of data even when I'm not surfing the web, but with little tweaks on the settings, everything now works fine.

In other news my gym kit shrunk in the wash. Flatmate somehow managed to wash my stuff with his on a hot wash which ultimately shrunk my stuff.. so just had to buy more, ugh. Thank you sports direct constant sale!

I voted for Sandygast, Shelmet, and Skiddo. Shelmet is one of those 'mons with no one breeding it, but it also has what seems like such a small amount of eggs out in the game; a swsh would do it some good. Skiddo is more consistent recently, but I'm shiny hunting it right now and I want to make my life easier if the people currently breeding it decide to breed something else.

I'd breed a bunch of random, low breeder stuff myself, but I'm still stuck in my valentacool hunt.

also it looks like I missed the palkia giveaway, but oh well. since I never had one before I can always just repel/summon at some point.

Yep, got Red and Blue, since I already had Yellow from a while ago. I only have one badge on Yellow, and I haven't played it in ages, so who knows when I'm gonna play Red or Blue.

I kept my party open all day in hopes of getting a Palkia egg and I did . If it would hatch shiny that would be great *hint hint*. Now I don't have to worry about keeping my party open for the rest of the week. I got another Cosmog header today, first one in a while. Again, sprinkling some shiny dust on this.

I thought I would have today off to start my vacation but my boss called me late last night. The power outage that was supposed to happen they ended up cancelling it last minute. My boss pretty much begged me to work for her so I did her a favor. She's going to make me some molasses bread so I 'forgave' her .

I did the same with Dewpider; there's only 6 people breeding it right now, discounting me. Then again, there's even less people who are currently breeding Hoppip [last I checked, just 1 person], and I'm shiny hunting that as well.

First time posting in a community thread, hope everyone is doing well.

Death of the World is finally coming to a close, but it's the task I've been dreading, as I have no control over it, hah.
Also glad to see Celebi is in the explorations this month, here's hoping Dedenne doesn't take a month to feel better.
If you guys could, could you help me out with that, if you haven't already?

It was a scheduled power outage that didn't end up going ahead . If I knew a few hours earlier that it was going to be cancelled I would have stayed home on Friday instead of working.

Well my vacation is off to a lovely start, I think I have the flu. I woke up this morning with a itchy throat and a slight cough. At first I thought it was my allergies acting up, as I've been cleaning my room, but I feel bleh. I usually get sick this time of year but why couldn't it happen in a few weeks instead.

I got another Portal in the header so I got another Cosmog egg. I didn't realize it was there until I refreshed the page and there it was. I'm going to cross my fingers that a shiny is in it, as unlikely as it will be.

Voted for Minior, Dhelmise and Snorunt for the SWSH. All of these are shinies I was going to hunt eventually, but if they make it to the SWSH I'll get a bunch of free eggs instead of using shelter grabs.

Also, trying to find a level 100 Honchkrow for my exploration is proving to be a right P I G. I'm constantly looking in the shelter, but so far, no luck. Any tips for looking for a specific pokemon? Or is it purely luck?

Also, looking back on the previous scavenger hunt ... how on earth do people complete the ones that require a specific pokemon at a stupid level like over 80? How do you even get a pokemons level that high in a day? It baffles me no end! Again, tips would be welcomed greatly!

I remember taking French till the end of grade 12 and then stopped after that. Part of me now wishes I had continued it in university, since I can't speak it anymore and read it as well as I used to.

For getting pokemon over 80, sometimes if I am able to click a lot that day I can do it by putting the pokemon in my walker. I have also used the mobile walker in the past. Since I drive a lot I can easily level up pokemon, this might not work for everybody though. However, last scavenger hunt I was unable to spend a lot of time on the site for those higher level tasks due to being busy. October might be better. Still need to complete all tasks for that achievement.

Use the Poké Walker. For both. Get yourself a Murkrow from the Safari - hatch an egg from the Shelter if you have to - put it in your Poké Walker, and click. If you have a bicycle and a good speed of clicking you can get a Pokémon to level 100 inside an hour.

I did take French all the way up to Leaving Cert (= when I left high school) but I was never awfully good at it. Still a lot better than I was at Irish, though. Your English is a heckuva lot better than my French, Shaoo!

My SWSH votes were Jangmo-o, Cutiefly, and Wishiwashi [Solo]. I don't really care what gets picked, but I tend to pick stuff I don't have shinies of yet.

I'm not sure if I want to leave a spot open for Fake Groudon or for Suicune. I think I'll go for the latter as I really like Suicune (and would love a shiny of it), but I wouldn't mind a shiny of Fake Groudon, either. Eh, I suppose I'll actually go for Suicune, but I guess I won't be too upset if I forget to fill my party tomorrow.

Exactly that. Actually finding the Pokémon can be more work than leveling it sometimes. Especially if you have to hatch it. For Scavenger Tasks I struggle way more with getting the egg hatched because it can only be in the party or the Mobile Walker. But as soon as it's hatched I can just put it in the PokéWalker and click for a bit. I think it's probably the most efficient way of leveling a Pokémon on the site if you have a good enough clicking speed. The dress-up items the Pokémon find can even be a good source of points. The only downside is that you have to be able to take a bit of time for clicking.
If you can't do that, the Mobile Walker can be good as well if you move larger distances. I personally forget to prime it on time a lot, though.
And putting the Pokemon into a Versus Seeker battle (especially in the Training division) can never hurt if the time is close enough to XX:18. Usually you end up gaining about a level's worth of XP, but you can get lucky frequently enough and gain about 7 to 10 levels.
I personally use a combination of VS Seeker, PokéWalker and Mobile Walker, but most of the leveling I actually do with the PokéWalker. And even if you don't click that fast, putting your Pokémon there while you click will almost definitely give it more XP than letting it sit in the party during that time.




For the SWSH I voted Squirtle, Weedle and male Nidoran, because I'd like to hunt some more Kanto Pokémon. But I'll gladly hunt anything that's decided, so I don't really care that much.
I just hope I'll be able to finish my November 2015 site wide Cubone hunt sometime soon. That's almost the last of the SWSHs that were clogging up my Shine recorder. Then I can concentrate on hunting Bidofo and then probably the Kanto starter's clones, alongside those Kanto starters I need to have each of the lines as a shiny version.

Also I feel like I'm really back to the site right now after becoming active again around July. I was absent for more than a year and a half before that due to real life being bad. But I'm largely caught up on my Pokédex again (still missing some things, and I really need to work on getting the Mega forms) and on the explorations that I hadn't done yet. Now I'm only missing Twelve Days of Christmas (never got around to complete it, somehow) and Death of the World to have each exploration completed at least once. And being able to embark on the latter is only a matter of time since I'm only one Flame Shard away from getting my first plate after managing to hatch a shiny Ho-oh (!!!) not even an hour ago.
Long story short, I've managed to get my total rank back under 1000 for the first time in ages (it's 875 right now), so I feel like I'm really back to this site.

Also I'm almost proud of myself for remembering to fill my party the last few days, because I want to wait and try for Entei or (if I don't get that) Suicune. In the last events I always forgot, and got something else than what I planned for XD. But I actually remembered this time.

Anyways, for the past few days I haven't been able to get anything done because of the heat wave. Which is bad, because I have a calculus assignment due. Should be pretty easy; it's just review of something I did last semester, but still. It's too hot to concentrate on anything, even personal projects. At least I finished the Kami Trio + Yveltal explos despite having to rely on cellphone data for the majority of the day [got the slowest time thus far for Yveltal and finished the Kami one in 7hrs, 7 min exactly]. Would be cool if my first Landorus on the site hatched Shiny, but I'm not going to treat that as if it's going to be certain fact.

Also, @stripes545: Sorry, but no. You're just having really bad luck, I'm afraid. Keep on trucking!

You've hatched 62 eggs. You should be expecting to hatch on average 300 eggs to find a shiny one, and it could take over a thousand. Just keep at it, and you'll get your prize

I've had some difficulty lately getting many Pokemon I'm shiny hunting because often only one or two people are breeding them (including me). Do you think adding a slot for a second Daycare pair would help that? Is that even something functionally possible on the site?

I'm doing the best I can Poke-Hunt wise, though sometimes I can't find anything with good IV's and end up having to submit random fodder as a last-ditch effort. Lately all I've been placing in is Rank 2, and while I'm certainly not complaining, getting that Achievement for placing in the top rank 5 times would be nice.

Thinking of going with Aggron for this week's hunt, though I might not end up placing all that high because of Aron's common Rarity..Hmm, decisions. But yeah, more shards would be a great bonus, especially since I've only got 2 completed Plates [Toxic (auto-given to me for a SWSH prize one time, I believe?) and Dread] so far, and just need 1 more Shard to complete both the Spooky and Earth Plates. All the rest have a long way to go, and it'll be even longer before I can get to doing DOTW.

I saw that we were all talking about the upcoming SWSH so I opted to try and share my votes as well. As it turns out, I opted to chose one from each of the first 3 posting their picks so, in a way, their kinda random.

Well. As it turns out? Photobucket will no longer allow you to "3rd party share" photos. Well, not unless you want to pay them $399. WTH?? So I go to another online photo site... but no go there, either. So poo! on that idea. My 3 choices were:

Go with http://imgur.com/, most of us on staff have been using it to host our images for a couple years now. Just bear in mind that it has community integration with Reddit, so just make sure in Settings that your Default Album Privacy is set to "hidden" so you don't get random views and comments but can still share image albums if you'd like. Definitely don't give Photobucket anything for their ransomware.

Anyways, I voted for Dewpider, Mimikyu, and Wishiwashi but I feel kinda bad since they're all sprites I did. I just want shinies of them real bad and they're some of my favourites from 7th gen.

Speaking of long hunts, my longest official one so far has been my Misdreavus hunt, which took 1,172 Eggs and netted me a fair amount of Achievements in the process. Longest unrecorded/unofficial would be Kyogre, at least in terms of days. I really need to stock up on Blue Orbs, I've got a measly 7 Eggs hatched currently and it's been a little over 2 years. Don't have anything else I want to use my Prize Points on currently, anyways.

EDIT: Also, I'm at 12/13 on Bringer of Legends and I have no idea what I haven't summoned yet. ;n;

Finally finished the Xerneas exploration, it took me forever. I couldn't find any of the Pokemon for the tasks, I actually had to go to the lab and get eggs for all of them . This Xerneas better have good IVs or be shiny! I haven't had a Xerneas egg in so long I actually forgot what it looked .

Speaking of long shiny hunts:

My longest hunt by eggs was my shiny Girafarig from the November 2012s SWSH and it took 1194 eggs before I got my shiny. I hatched 1124 Dratini eggs back in September 2012s SWSH before that. My longest hunt time wise was my shiny Ditto hunt, it took me 1250 days(September 28th 2012 to March 1st 2016!).

Huh. Well, I know I've summoned several Kyogre before, along with Dialga and Giratina. And Latios, got that out of my last Soul Dew. Heatran, Cresselia, Lugia, and Shaymin as well, and I'm pretty sure I've Summoned a Rayquaza before [then again, maybe I haven't. trying to check my released Pokemon, everything states "summoned by someone else" so now I can't tell if I was the one who originally Summoned it or not]. Can't remember whether or not I got Ho-Oh, Palkia, Groudon, and Latias from my own stock or if they were someone else's summonfails, so I guess that narrows it down to those 4. Good waste for my Prize Points, certainly.

Thanks for the help, all who responded. Also, just got a shiny Shaymin, so I'm pretty happy about that. I hope the person who originally had the Egg didn't accidentally release it, though, that would be unfortunate.

I completely forgot about the poke hunt this week, really need to get started on that. Otherwise I am still working towards that burning desire. I went shopping yesterday for most of the day and then went hiking on Monday so I am a few days behind on it. The hike was really nice on Monday, the smoke has been bad for us on some days but Monday was actually nice.

@AregularFrankiefan: I reckon Ho-oh is the one you need to summon yourself, based on the timings your released Ho-oh summons were adopted by you from the lab. There was a huge time gap (longer than 10-15 minutes) so they all seemed like someone else's failed summons.

I'd recommend doing the Exploration: A Vacation to Remember. It'll allow you to choose a Rainbow Wing. Alternatively you can purchase the wing from the Prize Shop if you want to and it's in rotation.

I just hope I'm not wrong aha!

Yeah, the colors of it actually look quite nice. and thank you as well. I'm pretty pleased about it haha. Same with the Underground thing, I haven't been getting all that useful Items lately. Did get a Griseous Orb yesterday, though, so that's nice. But mainly it's been either things return empty-handed or they return with something I don't particularly need, like Focus Sashes.


EDIT: Also, @x sam: It was Ho-Oh that I was missing lol. Thanks once again! Hopefully this hatches with decent IV's at the very least, and the prize for the Achievement is a pretty nice one if I do say so myself. Unsure what to use it on, though. Maybe a Tapu, or maybe I'll hold on to it until UB's get released [or am I mixing up the Plus Voucher with the regular one yet again?]. Ooh I got suicune today, nice. I have many achievements still to unlock, actually I still need to summon latias and darkrai from the lab to get that achievement. I get nervous summoning though since I usually am pretty unlucky with finding my summons XD. I know I have a number of items to use, one day I will use them.

For headers, I haven't had one in a while. I think a few months now. Thankfully someone dropped a korechu egg in the shelter once so that was nice to get it.

Is it better to use level 100 pokemon in the underground? I usually use pokemon at any level.

You can't summon Darkrai, that's only from an Exploration [though I don't remember the name of said Explo currently]. And I've personally found that it doesn't matter what level you send a Pokemon in at; they've all got the same chance of finding stuff.

I've had 4 Grey Magikarp in the daycare for days now and I can't pick any of them. I want to take at least two of them for my shiny hunt but I can't because I have no Heart Sweets. I've been hoping the shop would get some of them, but after 4 days of waiting I still can't get them. I want to spend my prize points but the shop is being mean . I can't do the exploration for another 27 days to get more either. I guess they'll stay in the daycare until I can get some.

So, which exploration is harder: TBD or DotW? Do I need to have the EXP All for both of them? I want to start one of them, but I don't know which one will make me want to tear my hair out more . I don't want to be stuck with the SWSH coming up so I think I should wait until after the SWSH.

Definitely TBD
There's much more clicking involved plus the reward is not a motivator whatsoever.
I prefer DotW because I know the reward is worth is, plus since there's less interactions necessary, I can do DotW clicking tasks in a few days, while TBD would take me weeks to months just doing interactions ^^;

Between DotW and TBD... well I did TBD once because of the achievement to do every available exploration, it was boring to do haha and DotW severals time now, and I'm already dying internally by thinking that I need to do it for every type... I'm going to say DotW because if you want to complete the pokedex that's the only possibility, whereas TBD it's only a question of will power, that's how we say it?

Well, think about it long term. If you want the achievement, you'll need to do TBD 3 times. If you want all of Arceus forms, you'll need to do DotW 17 times (plus getting the plates). I found doing DotW extremely challenging because I did it at a time where it was new and I felt like I was racing with other users to see who could get them all first. TBD is somehow boring for me, mainly because of the rewards. It has more clicking and a bigger amount of berries to get iirc. And you'll definitely need EXP All for DotW. For TBD is optional since you've to do an absurd amount of clicking and can use that clicking to level up 'mons.

Well, you don't strictly need the Exp All for DotW, but the past two go-arounds have been significantly faster now that I have it. A task that took me 3 days without it can now be knocked out in an hour or two.

I'm with you in that regard, AregularFrankiefan. While the Exp All would be highly beneficial for DotW, it can definitely be accomplished without it. You just need patience. It'll lock all but 1 slot of your party so you can, technically, still vie for the SWSH as well. I'm contemplating giving it another go and, if I do it right, I'll just hold off on continuing to the point where I'm "party locked" until I get my SWSH. It's been ages! since I last tried DotW, but I agree. The prize at the end is VERY worth it!

I've not tried TBD but it is on my GPX Bucket List.

For now, I'm exploring alongside Ditto and he's in need of berries. But since it isn't (thankfully) a specific berry I'm just going to wait that task out and hope for the best.

In other related GPX news... I got a 2nd shiny Missing No. today! Sweet! It'll be nice to eventually have that shiny family, but for now, I'll just have to see which forms look cooler in the shiny form. *smirk*

Oof, shiny hunting's pretty tedious when you've only got 1 Party Slot. Thinking I'm going to hold off on that Explo for a while longer just for the purpose of getting some of my hunts done, then. Maybe if there's another Christmas Exchange and I'm lucky, I'll get an Arceus that way. Chances are slim, but I'm hoping! Lol.

I haven't tried TBD, either, but I'm running out of Flame Orbs thanks to the Jump Karp novelties. So I'll probably have to embark on that one at some point. And, a second shiny Missingno? Lucky you! I've been meaning to hunt for one, but of course my Shine Recorder's a little clogged at the moment and I don't want to cancel anything.

I actually haven't been shiny hunting the Missing No.s *smirk* Just got lucky. I tend to take the header events more times than not (except for the stupid salesman one). I only heard that the prankster can change into the worm holes; I haven't heard that about the Old Man. So I figured I'd click on him. Now I'm glad I did.

As for the Christmas Exchange, they usually do like type swaps. So if you're interested in an Arceus, you'll need to submit one of equal value. As for me... I'm hoping for a shiny Spike Eared Pichu. Yeah. I'm not one for large plans. LOL But I've been on that hunt for YEARS now. And I know there is at least 1 shiny SE Pichu out there; just don't know if that person would donate it and if I'd be the lucky recipient. But I"m hoping to try again this Christmas if they hold the exchange again.

Just curious though, 'cause I am only picking Daycare eggs for most of the time (seldom from the Lab whenever I'm lucky to find one). I am hunting for a Shiny Aron, which I started a few days ago, and considering its high maturity requirement (and also low number of users online to warm them), my Daycare lays eggs even before I could even hatch one in my Party. So, after hatching one, I just took an egg from the Daycare. Hope you, guys, understand what I'm trying to express. I need your thoughts about this. Thank you!

After three months of willing an Ultra Wormhole to appear, I get two of them within a few days of each other. I don't have to make the difficult decision of what my Nebby should evolve into anymore

For the SWSH I voted for Dhelmise, Snorunt, and Trubbish. If there's going to be any Alola Pokémon this month, I want it to be Dhelmise. A shiny Glalie to go with my Froslass would be nice, but the Ice Plate is the only one I have (I've been party locked in DotW for many days now since I've been too busy with school to do much clicking), so I'm mostly voting for it since a lot of people seem to want it. I also feel obligated to make sure my favourite trash bag gets at least one vote each month.

Getting as many eggs as possible is going to get you through quickest. If you can fill your party on daycare eggs then that's great, but I always find myself needing to go to the shelter to fill my party (although two of my current hunts are Purple Magikarp and Togedemaru which have low maturity requirements and hatch more quickly than your Aron).

Yeah, I tend to snatch up Headers as soon as they appear, too. And, random shinies are sometimes the best shinies. Will definitely keep the type swap thing in mind. Good luck with your SE Pichu hunt!

Also, @Zuzu : I personally think it doesn't make a difference whether or not you take from the Shelter, Daycare, or Lab. Either way, you'll get your shiny when you get it, random chance be damned haha. Plus, Shelter Grabs run out after a while.

During the next Multiplier day, you more than likely will have a vacant slot at some point, so no worries there! And I always worry about one of the Eggs I didn't pick being the shiny I want, as well. Happened to me a lot so far.

Also, have any of you tried that Peet's Dark Chocolate Cold Brew? I usually don't drink coffee, but it's pretty tasty in my opinion.

Honestly, I'm wishing there was some kind of second Daycare slot at this point. Yeah, it might be a little hard to code, and it's kind of a weird idea, but I think it'd help users who're hunting multiple Pokemon at once/essentially no one is breeding the Pokemon needed for said hunts.

Or those Mission Cards like x Sam suggested, I'm completely down for those. I'm just a tiny bit salty that my Daycare has been pumping out Dewpider for quite a while now and I'm basically locked in until I get that shiny, in a way.

Yeah. The two Magikarp novelties I'm still hunting are in that awkward rarity zone where breeding them feels like a waste of my daycare, but they're still uncommon enough in the shelter that my hunts would be significantly slowed if I wasn't breeding them myself.

We wouldn't prevent you from changing the form of the shinies and allow you to change the form of the regular ones. It all functions the same, the only difference is they're different colours lol.

In regards to the Magikarp, my pair have bred 5 shinies in 260 eggs or so, which is actually ridiculous. I'm thinkingof changing them out for something different, is there anything anybody would like me to breed? Either a pure pairing (same species) or different compatible species is fine as I'm stuck with what else to breed these days.

In other news, I'm doing two lots of 37 hour weeks back to back and I think it might kill me off. Especially as one of the weeks is Freshers Week (student night is Wednesday night so I'll be catering to 18 year olds drinking) - it's going to be SO much fun ID'ing them all I personally cannot wait, but I'm going to be so ugh.

I start back at uni around the 26th of September and get my timetable on the 15th - this coming Friday I think. Hopefully my timetable won't be so bad this time.. last year I had three 9am's in a row (Monday - Wednesday) and Thursday was a 12pm-6pm day. Gross.

The Pokewalker helps with fast leveling, by the way. Just throw something in and start clicking! I personally find that the mobile site helps with that, since you're getting batches of 25 at a time.

I recently switched over to a Mac and let me tell you, the trackpad has increased my activity on here tenfold. Clicking is so much less intensive with it, and there's no more muscle pain

I actually managed to get through the Yveltal exploration in a few hours thanks to it, and since I finished the Celebi exploration just after midnight server time, it means I could actually manage that three explorations in one day achievement!

I managed to finish the Kami trio exploration without much bother, I think I only need either two or one more now. I've started the Xerneas one, but I'm going much more slowly with that. Haven't bothered to level this Furfrou. I hear there's a few grab Pokémon tasks people are having trouble with, hopefully those will be easier by the time I get to them.

What the amount of people just in this thread alone who voted for Snorunt, I figure that we'll have a pretty good chance of getting it as one of the SWSH options. But as for the other two, I can't make any guesses because I really have no idea what's going to happen. So, it's a wait-and-see type of thing, which I'm fine with.

I can only hope I get a shiny this time around..Haven't been doing too great with SWSH's lately. Also, anyone else hoarding Pokechests so they can open them all when October comes around? And wow, do I confuse Hail and Snow's effects a lot haha.

Even if all the choices miraculously end up being things which I already have, I'll more than likely still pick something out of that pool to hunt anyways. Unless it's primarily Dark or Poison-Type, I already have both of those Plates. I just need more Shards for all the other Types.

And yeah, 1 person breeding Hoppip while almost 200 people are shiny hunting it? It would definitely go a lot faster if we had a second Daycare slot. And 7 people, including me, are breeding Dewpider..

But you CAN control it. Partially, at least. When you return a Pokemon from the Underground, DON'T put it into your Party. I used to put them into the PokeWalker to avoid Pokerus, and then release the newly returned pokemon. But recently, I've been kicking the UG pokemon back into their PC Box, since I'm going through my Living Dex now.

I don't normally breed for my shinies. The Novelty hunts I am, but for the normal, run of the mill ones, I attempt to grab Lab eggs. Or sometimes Shelter.

So. The other day, I finally picked up my shiny Tapu in Sun that had been sitting in there ever since the event. Reset it a couple of times looking for one with good IVs. Finally ended up with one that had 5 Bests listed. My Moon shiny is still waiting to be picked up, since I haven't beaten the game yet, and as such, don't have access to the IV judge.

EDIT - I knew I forgot something. I grabbed my third Wormhole the other day, so I only need one more to complete my set. And it didn't change from anything, since a day or so before the Wormhole appeared, I got a Tiny Egg that I had to pick up.

I wonder when Ultra Beasts and the last set of gen 7 pokemon will be released. Been quite some time now. I also think we should increase the amount of pokemon being shown in the shelters. 60 for the shelter and 15 for the safari zone aren't enough. Especially for the safari zone.

Looking for a pokemon can be nightmare sometimes... with about 450-500 pokemon unique pokemon present at the time.
Having a second daycare set seems interesting.

EDIT: Going off that point, maybe having a certain amount of achievements (a really high number), or a certain amount of clicks a day, or a really high amount of pass orbs allows you see more species in the shelters.

Same, I want a Mareanie..Especially since I still haven't been able to find one in the actual games. Speaking of which, I still can't work up the motivation to actually complete Moon. Also, legit shiny UB's would be nice, even if they're not technically legit in the sense that you can't port them over to your games. Some of their shiny palettes actually look quite good, though. And I couldn't get a shiny Tapu because I no longer have a WEP connection..which is what Nintendo products run on. Will have to look and see if my father demolished the whole thing, or if he just turned it off. Been unable to progress in Super Mystery Dungeon for quite a while now because of that.

And I will agree that it's a massive pain, especially when you're on some kind of "grab X Pokemon from the Safari Zone/hatch X Egg" task, but there's none of the species you're looking for to be found anywhere.

Gah, I really should click to increase my Shelter Grabs so I can take more hunt Eggs, but at the same time I have 2 oneshots to finish, various papers, and some digital drawing that I'm debating on whether or not to just leave flat-colored.

Yeah, that's what I did on my three infected Pokemon. But as of now, since I just started, I am still saving up points. My current goal is to get over 100k points, at least. So for now, spending for an antidote is a bit of a pain in the pocket for me.

Hey All! I am currently punishing myself. I opted to begin, for a 3rd time I believe it is, DotW. The nice part is, if memory serves, since it isn't a special monthly explore, I can literally take my time as it won't expire.

I'm on the first of my "long walk" in the explore and hoping to take advantage of after start early grabs. I had been hunting for Swablu (ever notice how the Safari always has a bunch of a specific type of Pokemon... or the Shelter that egg.... UNTIL you really need to grab one of them?)

So I opted to breed my level 100 Altaria with a Ditto. I was a bit nervous though... Ditto is only level 1. *eek* But at least they are falling in to sync with each other. So I'll be donating those eggs for those searching for or hunting their shiny forms. At least, until the SWSHy starts in a few days.

Yeah, it's kind of weird how the moment you're actively looking for something, it just vanishes. Wonder why that is? And eek, 3rd time? Well, at least you already know what to expect.

Also, shiny Sandygast looks great. Love that color. Then again, I think that most of the black shiny Pokemon look good. Except for the majority of the Tapus, they all blend together in an unpleasant manner.

AregularFrankiefan, I think I've heard tell that there are explores for the Tapu's, right? I'll have to give it a look. I was lucky enough to score a Tapu Bulu from the July event egg but don't really know much of what the other Tapu's look like. Of course, I know Tapu Kuku (?) from the game, but am looking forward to scoring one of my own some day. As for their shiny forms, shiny legendaries don't really like me. It'd be nice to have one, again, some day, but I'm not going to hold my breath or bet the farm on acquiring one.

How do you get those little emoji things at the side of your posts? There's a cartoon heart on my screen now.

Also, lately I've seen nothing in the Backroom but the occasional Battle Tower Gem. Disheartening, since I find that spending regular Points on things like Heart Sweets and Quick Claws is better than having to shell out Prize Points for them. Especially since I need Blue Orbs for this one hunt. ;~;

If you scroll down below the message box, and just above the "Add Reply" and "Preview Post" options, you'll find some lil smiley face emojis. I usually only change them for the questions - as I hope that they'll stand out and someone "in the know" will answer. If I'm really jolly, I'll add the laughing one. Or, like how I was super grateful and thankful, I use the heart one to show extra affection.

I'm a HUGE buyer of the Quick Claws when I see them. I can only get the vitamins in the back shop though because I can't battle successfully enough to win them in the Tower. So I rely heavily on our battlers to release them when they have an over abundance. I save them for the Poke Hunts (when I'm participating).

I'm really excited about the ultra sun and ultra moon, I can't wait to play with it; idk if I'll have the money to buy it but I hope so.
Also, I really like this anipoke season in Alola. Some people think it's boring but if you think about it, Ash is on holidays so it's normal that he has more fun than fighting all the time. We can see for once how it is to live with pokemon not only for leagues, and that's a nice thing. I enjoy it very much and I can't wait to watch the come back of some characters of my childhood! (I don't want to spoil idk if people watch the show so...)

Pff, I completely forgot that you could actually use Vitamins on Poke Hunt candidates. If only I hadn't sold all of mine several months back, maybe I could finally complete that "place in Rank 1 five times" Achievement.

I haven't mentioned it here yet but I voted for Cutiefly, Bounsweet, and Spritzee for this month's SWSH. I have a feeling that Cutiefly will be one of the top picks, along with Snorunt (my feelings could be wrong, though).

I like the Alola series too.
The humor is on point, the characters are a lot of fun (haven't liked any characters in the anime since hoenn) and I really like how everything moves!

Now ok it has not a lot of fanservice and lacks romance (which I've heard was what made xyz so great) but I'm not a fan of romance anyway so I like this new approach.
Alola doesn't seem like the most straight forward to explore in an anime.

I fell off the anime-watching bandwagon around the Gen5 part of the series, though I will say that I've watched at least a couple episodes of X/Y. Maybe I'll have to check out the Alola part, judging by how everyone seems to be gushing over it. Might end up not liking it, or I might end up liking it. Who's to say? I don't watch much anime or read much manga anymore to begin with..

Oh, and speaking of the Pokemon anime, what was your favorite season? Also, what was your favorite Pokemon movie so far? For me, anime season's a tie between Johto and Hoenn, with both the original series and the Orange Islands series coming in at a close second. In terms of movies, Pokemon: The First Movie, Destiny Deoxys, and Pokemon Heroes are all favorites of mine.

Anime wise, I really liked Hoenn. Although Johto had the better opening theme.
Movie wise uh definitely Latias and Latios. Manaphy second.
I miss May, and Misty. They're by far my older series' favorites.

Hoenn's opening theme was at the very least somewhat memorable, though. But I agree that the Johto theme was better. And yeah, haven't seen May in a while., nor Max. I'm starting to miss them..At least Brock and Misty seem to be coming back for an episode in the new anime, at least? Poor Misty hasn't had a speaking appearance since 2006, I believe.

Also, just noticed there's a writing forum. Pity this place doesn't get all that much overall traffic, maybe my work would be slightly better received here than deviantART or my personal blog or anything like that. Then again, it seems that no matter where I post things, few people will see it and even fewer will bother to like or comment on it.

In the anime, I like the Kalos. Though now, I'm starting to like the Alola, too, and also starting to get used to Ash's new appearance. Movie? I think I like the one with Hoopa in it, I really forgot the title.

Also, the first few episodes of Alola, I watched it Japanese-dubbed with English subtitles, and I have to say that it really sounds amazing.

Title would be Hoopa and the Clash of Ages. From what little I watched of Kalos, it definitely showed promise. Can't say if that promise held up in my opinion, though, since I haven't watched the season through and don't really plan to. And I will agree that the original voice actors for characters sometimes sound better than the dub voice actors [though sometimes the dubs sound better than the originals].

Anyways, not much longer to go until the SWSH choices for this month are revealed! I'm excited. Hopefully I'll actually hatch a shiny this time around..

I have yet to meet a person who likes the Diamond and Pearl anime, yet alone someone who ranks it so highly. Not that it's a bad thing; that wasn't a terrible season.

And I liked that movie well enough. Younger me cried when Lucario died, also when those red blob things showed up. Those were just freaky.

Bah, maybe I should have voted for Jangmo-o, as well, now that Alchemists Fire mentions it. Been meaning to hunt one of those at one point, and the multipliers would have helped with trying to collect Draco Shards. Even though it reminds me of strawberry-banana smoothies lol. And I personally find shiny Pika-puppet to be more noticeable on this site than it is in the games. Despite being grayscale, it looks really dull and washed-out in SUMO.

I was really torn between Cutiefly and Alolan Rattata, and while I do like shiny Cutiefly more, I decided to go with Alolan Rattata because it has lower maturity and I actually had an Alolan Raticate for a good while on my Sun team. Can't wait to actually start hatching eggs tomorrow!

I gave up on my painted torchic hunt for now. My pair is over 11k children. Been hunting it since it came out I think. Decided to start breeding some pokemon that are needed for others hunts. Starting with blitzle and probably move onto the hippo next. Anymore suggestions? I'll breed each until I get at least two shinies out of a pair. There are a lot of pokemon that don't have breeders right now. I hated that when I was hunting bergmite.

I am a bit surprised by the choices too, especially for rattata and cutiefly. Not sure yet which to go for but leaning towards cutiefly since I am close to finishing off that insect shard. Maybe fomantis will get in next time, I noticed it was 7 on the list (probably the closest I have been so far in terms of votes). I noticed I was the sole vote for whismur XD.

I will check out their shiny forms and then decide.

I'm just happy that four other people liked Tauros lol. I love that garishly yellow/green little dude. As for the current choices I had no idea what their shiny counterparts were but after looking them up I think I'll go with Cutiefly, but I'm not super fussed about getting any of them.

I know this is a super delayed response, but I 100% support being able to have multiple breeding pairs! I struggle to find Rowlet in the shelter but I've been hunting for a shiny Winter Vulpix since 2012 so I can't retire those buddies yet.

..I made the mistake of picking up all my Mimi's from the Lab on the assumption that they were some of the ones I'd seen in there yesterday. I was horribly wrong, haha. Now I have to impatiently tap my foot for a while waiting around for them to hatch, unless I want to burn through all of my Flame Orbs within the first hour or so of the SWSH.

Now I just have to think of names for a potential shiny. Also, thinking of selling all of my Heart Scales. I really don't use them, and I've got nearly 100 at this point. Then again, I currently can't remember whether or not any Exploration tasks require you to have one.

Me, too, I took Lab eggs for my first batch and have to wait for a few minutes for them to hatch. For my second batch of eggs, I stalked in the Shelter, but I can't find Cutiefly eggs, so I ended up seeking in the Lab again.

I've started grabbing Alolan Rattata eggs from my daycare, but since I'm at work, I can't afford to spend too much time stalking the shelter, so I'm also still taking some random jump karp eggs whenever I see one. At least they hatch fast, so it all works out until I get my 15 hunt eggs so I can use honey.

Another Alolan-only SWSH. Pretty much completely uninteresting to me, nor is it surprising. Snorunt did get 32 votes which is not bad, but is only 14th, and only half of what even the 3rd-place one got. I'll hunt Cutiefly to get the prize (it has nice colours) but I hope I get it early because I'm just... not invested at all now.

I still need to get the 1 shiny egg achievement too. Although I realized after from the exchange in December I could have gotten that achievement then by starting a hunt for the dratini I got XD. Oh well, one day I will get it!

Speaking of the prize, I wonder what it'll be? Guess we won't know until it gets released, but I'm somewhat hoping that it's something cooler than just a new breedable. Yeah, that sounds a bit selfish, but with breedables, 1 person can get their hands on it and then suddenly everybody has it. Takes away the rarity of certain shinies that way.

I wouldn't complain if it was, though. I'd just be slightly disappointed, then return to going about my day. Anyways, do any of you think there's going to be another Christmas exchange this year? Got a fair amount of random Legends I've been hoarding so I can see whether or not I'll get a new Dex entry if I plop them in.


Also, @Rita Zyon: Unfortunately, things you get from an exchange don't count towards that Achievement. I asked yesterday, and Spades Slick told me that they wouldn't. I was planning to do that, haha.

At first the design of the Alolan episodes is a bit awkward because it's totally different from what we used to see on the 9 previous seasons. We've got a new ambience with funny focus on characters' faces ^^ Like Luneon I don't really enjoy romance in the anipoke, it's not the most important for me in this show, unlike pokemons obviously. Serena was a cute character tho.

I'm a bit old-fashionned but my favourite season is still the first one I disovered as a child haha and the first movie too, mewtwo vs mew.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of romance, either. Especially if it's forced, ugh. And I agree, Serena was interesting from what little I saw of her. And you can't go wrong with the first season of the anime.

Wish they hadn't cut out part of the opening scene of the first movie, but then again, dying clones [one human, even] might have been a little too harsh of a sight for kids. Then again, it was shown in Japan, so...I don't know why it wasn't kept in, really?

I've started the SWSH with Cutiefly too. I've run into an issue and wonder if anyone else has the same experience. I've been trying to use the sweet honeys to find Cutiefly eggs in the Shelter once I hatched 15 eggs, but none are appearing. Is the stock of Cutieflies just that low? Or does Sweet Honey not work for Alola? Or not for SWSHs? I'm confused.

I'm honestly thinking that the Cutiefly stock is just really low, Storskarfen. Sweet Honey definitely works for both SWSH and Alola Pokemon.

I opted to go with the Pikachu wanna be. No real reason why... just figured I'd go for it.

I'm also closing in on finishing my first "long walk" of many in DotW. If all goes well I should be able to jump ahead to the next long walk with nothing but minimal raising up.

Hey! Has everyone else seen the news about Build a Bear? They're celebrating Meowth's (what??!!???) birthday and doing a 2 for $45 Pokemon thiing. It's just this weekend and next, I believe. My youngest and I are planning on going this Saturday after the dogs' vet appointments. I think she wants/hopes to get an Eevee and, yeah, why not? I'll collect Meowth with his Team Rocket Tee. LOL

I don't know... Japanese have got a real different cultures than in Europe or in US, for little I know about it, death takes for them a big part of their culture, it's a natural thing, unlike us; it is always a subject we barely speak about, so that scares children here for what I know of them.


I started the swsh with cutiefly, I'm already hunting alolan rattata and it was a bit difficult to find its egg so it's a good thing haha; but alas I think that hunting two targets at the same time like in the previous swsh is going to be fateful to me.

I'd love to get a team rocket tshirt, they are awesome! 8D

My grandmother [well, the non-abusive one] is Japanese, and she still eyed the movie pretty warily when that scene started circulating around the media. Said something about it being too morbid for small children. So, dunno.

And few if any people are breeding it, so I couldn't grab an egg.

@Those questioning the lack of eggs: It is only the first day of the swsh. It's only a 1.4 multiplier, eggs aren't going to be produced a huge amount. There will be plenty by the weekend.

Alternatively, you could help by breeding it. It's a two way street.

I managed to hatch a Shiny Cutiefly. Now, I'm hunting Alolan Rattata and I'm over 100 eggs now. I wonder how long will this hunt take, but hopefully not too long.

As for the SWSH, I'd say just average. Been pretty busy yesterday.
I kind of hope I will be able to hatch more next week.

My hunts often take about 300something eggs so I'm still pretty far from my goal.

I'm going for Cutiefly. Hoping to get a few more Insect Shards. Disappointed that Snorunt lost again, but there's always next time. I noticed that it was the most voted Pokemon on the poll that wasn't from Alola.

I hope the November SWSH isn't Alolan-only again. We've had four of them already. This Honey+ is greatly appreciated, though.

Speaking of the SWSH, I know I said I was going to hunt Cutiefly after I finished Mimikyu, but now I'm not too sure. I mean, do we get extra Prize Points for signing up again and hatching more Eggs? I don't remember, I've never actually won a SWSH in quite some time. I thought that was only a thing that applied if you didn't actually hatch a shiny, but still tried to.

I know it increases your affinity's ranking in that month's SWSH if you hatch more shinies, but does anyone know if you can get more Prize Points by hatching more shinies? I've personally just never noticed.

What I remember from the last times I participated (a while ago), you don't get any extra prizes. Just the shinies you hatched. So if you don't want to hunt the others, you'll get the same reward as if you did.

Yeah I can expect alolan pokemon in the shiny hunt for awhile too, based on how the vote totals went.

In other news, I have recently been playing ffix. Never played it before, but I really like it so far! I ended up having to restart the game though as our ps3 needed to be wiped clean due to being corrupted. Sucked though because we didn't think that would happen so we lost tons of files, never even considered backing it up.

You can get 15 extra prize points if your affinity hatches the most shinies altogether before the event ends, and that's just about it. You don't get extra points depending on how many times you signed up or hatched shinies.

Speaking of which, I hatched my Alolan Rattata earlier today, which after the past two times, was refreshing to get it so early on. Now I'm on to Mimikyu and I think I'll stop after that.

Also, would any of you mind feeding the Wooper in my Party a Rawst Berry? Still on 4/28 for Alphabet Soup, geez..

Well, the SWSH only actively started on the 14th, so you only missed two days of hunting. So you can probably catch up easily.

I just realized that I've probably been too active in terms of explorations lately, since I've actually had only one option of starting a new one today after doing Yellow Forest again. All others are still in cooldown. That's the first time I've had that happen... I guess I should focus on getting all those missing achievements instead. (There are so many I've never done for no reason... Some of the party ones and quite a few badges for example.)

Speaking of the Badge Achievements, I've just remembered that I've done exactly none of them so far. Eep! Maybe I should work on those.

Also, that feel when you pulled an all-nighter, but found nothing interesting in neither the Safari Zone or Egg Shelter. Well, except a Festive Makuhita Egg that somebody sniped me out of. None of my hunt Eggs are showing up, I think everyone's busy breeding the SWSH crew.


EDIT: So I started the Ditto explo and I'm stuck now because I'm supposed to find and hatch a certain Pokemon Egg and there's none in the Shelter. ;~;

I wish that the "People currently breeding X Pokemon" stat didn't include inactive users who just so happen to have had the Pokemon in their Daycare at the time they decided to leave the site. Messes up my estimates, ugh. Come to think of it, I haven't seen an Axew in general in several months now. So, guess I have to put my Dewpider hunt on pause to restock the Shelter a little. Man, another Daycare slot would be handy right about now.

Anyways, glad to see that so many people are getting their SWSH shinies [or just other shinies they were hunting for] already! Good luck to all of you who still are hunting.

Ah yes, I noticed that as well. I also started breeding Axew, and kept the pair for a week for others to grab the eggs. I only switched the pair because I wanted to breed the SWSH Pokemon.

So, I've been playing some games lately, namely Kirby (a lot of them because I never played Kirby), Hamtaro, Shovel Knight, still playing Pokemon sometimes, and this game called The Battle Cats Pop! (on the 3ds not the mobile game). I love the last, it's so fun.

Gpx+ wise, I've hatched my Mimikyu on the first day and now I'm in a 312 ongoing hunt for Alola Ratatta. It's going nicely~

Today I was out hiking so didn't use too much of the plus today, but I was quite active yesterday which helped me . Now I am home and a bit sore from the hike, particularly my feet.

For some reason I thought I was further on that burning desire exploration than I actually am. Oops! Hopefully I will finish before next month then.

Yes, kids toys can add up to quite a bit, especially the more popular toys like lego or electronic ones.

Sam is absolutely right about that, I couldn't agree more, we're paying for the name.

In addition, there are "less known" brands selling a certain type of product that bigger brands also sell, generally speaking. Both of which has the same or almost the same quality and specifications, but "less known" brands are selling it cheaper.

There are times when I'm low on budget or if I am saving money, I go with cheaper ones. There are instances, though, that a cheaper version of a certain product has a poor quality, we call it an 'imitation' of the original. So you also have to look out for that, as they have the same look with the original and a cheap price, and it can be deceiving.

Surprisingly got my Alolan Rattata in just 36 eggs. Haven't had SWSH luck like that in a while. My oldest and I started watching the SuMo anime. Even though I don't dig the style much, it's not so bad. She usually asks to watch either the indigo league or XYZ but I figured we'd give SuMo a shot.

Yup. Same can be said about many things. My toddler was really into Thomas & Friends when she was younger and holy cow, the trains are so expensive. The smallest ones are like $10 for just a single train. She's a super grateful child though so she likes any toy we get for her whether it's some top name or not.

I think a lot of it also has to do with more companies deliberately designing and marketing toys to appeal to both kids and collectors. Like when I was a kid, Beanie Babies and Americal Girls were the only toys I really remember being deliberately made for both demographics; it seemed to me that most other "collectible toys" were either not really meant for kids, or were meant primarily for kids and just happened to appeal to enthusiasts for whatever reason. I mean, there were always those "collect em all!" sets of fairly cheap toys and figures, but those always seemed to me like they weren't meant to have any serious value for adult collectors.

Now you have stuff like Funko, amiibos, and those weird hatching egg pets that people spend hundreds of dollars on, and I also see a lot of companies more openly acknowledging and embracing the adult demographic they always had. Toy collecting used to be considered either a niche hobby or a sign of being a major creep, but it seems to be a lot more accepted now. So it's a lot more common now for companies to target both demographics with the same product.

I was mad on Thomas the Tank Engine as a kid (but being a kid in the 90's was much cheaper) - had the wooden train sets and everything, used to spend hours upon hours playing with it lol.

Then I discovered collectible cards that everyone was playing at school, much to my mum's disgust - started off with Jackie Chan cards and you could collect the talismans (unfortunately without the powers). Was never really into Action Man or soldiers.. that was my brother.

But the rest of our entertainment went into digging up my parents garden or watching VHS stuff.

Anime related, I watched a Sun and Moon episode last night, the one with a Morelull (Nemasyu), and it was really a fun episode, the Morelull was so cute. I thought Ash was going to catch it, but no, he didn't. I actually did not watch the episode before that, I'm not interested with baseball in the slightest.

I actually just got a header event just a couple of days ago, it is the youngster event just like last time. I haven't clicked it yet in hopes it changes into the wormhole or maybe even the slow poke tail seller - both of which I haven't seen yet. Though I do admit I will need to save up some money just in case it does become the slow poke tail seller XD.

On another note, I really need to get back into reading. I used to be an avid reader but, lately I haven't been reading very much. I think part of it is due to trying to finish the current book I am reading and finding it a bit dull at least right now. Has anyone read any interesting books lately?

Me neither, I haven't read some book that much lately, I'm more into gadgets and music right now. But before, when I was still in school, far away from home, I bought some books to read and entertain myself since we are not allowed to use gadgets in the school and I'm staying at the school's dorm, and we can only use our phones once a week. My life was like that for three years. Pretty boring right, but I got used to it. Good thing I already graduated. Haha! Anyway, back to books, during those years, I've read some novels, some I really didn't finished yet. One book I finished is 'The Lovely Bones', there was a film adaptation of this book, it was a good story. I'm hoping to finish reading some novels when I have the rest of my things delivered here at home from school, including those books.

Moving went off without a hitch! Movers kinda forgot a lot of stuff, but all of it's at the apartment now and now begins the slow unpacking process.
College is going well so far. My classes are all in the morning. I gotta say it's weird going to like one class at 9 AM and then coming home with nothing to do the rest of the day.


SWSH has been cruel to me. I'm not even really that tempted to finish it, haha. I hope Mareanie comes soon.

Considering that I work 15-16 hour days usually, sadly not. Which is a bummer, since I love reading..and doing things with the various fictional characters I've made, but I haven't been able to do much lately except a quick sketch here and there or a few half-sentences added to a oneshot.

It does take some getting used to going in early for class and coming to lunchtime and realising 'Oh, I'm done now' But it gives you a chance to do stuff in the evenings, socialise and that. Unless you have three-hour labs twice a week like I do

I'm at 102 Cutiefly so it's really not going well, heh. Probably won't get a shiny but I'll be able to buy whatever the prize is, I think.

Finally got my Cutiefly just before I went to bed last night. I wasn't sure if I was going to do another of the SWSH 'mons, but I decided to go for Spooky Pikachu after all. Also, shout out to the seven people who got shinies from my Cutiefly breeding pair. And as of right now I'm actually #3 on the most eggs hatched list which is pretty neat. I don't imagine that's going to last long though.

But what does everyone think about the new Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon trailer? I find it really funny that after all these years of surfing in Pokémon games, there's finally actual surfing (that even gives you the ability to front flip for style).

EDIT: Got my Spooky Pikachu a lot quicker than I thought I would. Maybe I'll try to go three for three after all.

That's is similar to me as well, more into music and electronics like video games and my tablet. I love my tablet, I use it more than my phone or laptop because it is a nice size and it came with a pen to write or draw with. When I was in school phones weren't as popular as they are now but now I don't know if I could live without my phone XD. I love technology too much.

I never did read the lovely bones though I enjoyed the film adaptation for it. I am currently reading life of pi, but, I have been struggling with it. I might put it down and read something else. I had planned on rereading to kill a mockingbird since I haven't read it since 10th grade English.


AregularFrankiefan-Yes it is definitely hard to have time to read when your work schedule is long. I was also surprised at how many shelter grabs I had today!

I think it is great that they introduced surfing in the Alolan region - I think it fits quite well there. I am really excited about the photography element though, I hope we can take more pictures than what we could do in sun and moon. By the sounds of it, potentially yes, so I can't wait to get the game.

What game is everyone hoping to get? I got moon last time so I am planning to get Ultra sun instead. I tend to trade with family when I want to complete my pokedex. Actually I am almost done with my moon pokedex, just need to find a razor claw from the dragon pokemon to evolve my sneasel and then a few other evolutions like vullaby, cranidos, and rufflet. I don't think I have ever been so close to completing a dex before!

I honestly don't know on the game front. Last time I bought both Sun and Moon, but now Sun's still in its package and I haven't worked up the motivation to finish Moon yet. It doesn't help that even with Mandibuzz and Alolan Persian, my theme team is painfully slow..So. Maybe neither, for once in my life? Got some issues with having a WEP connection still active, as well, so my Pokebank probably ended up expiring [R.I.P. Legendaries] and I can't even download the update necessary to start playing Miitopia.

In other news, my dog has a habit of guarding me while I sleep, so this morning I woke up to a small face shoved into mine.

Avocado nomnomnom I love that. I eat some these past few days after several years and it was so tasty ^^ I changed my alimentation since I decided few months ago to not eat meat anymore, and it was a relief. Salmon and avocado are just so damn good.

I'm impatient to play with usum. I don't play with video game very much because I'm really picky, and I don't really have much ideas of which game I can play with.

I feel those who don't read very much. I read so many books since I'm young it's a tragedy that I don't read anymore, or a few. I don't find any book, any story wonderful enough to let me escape from my life. It's quite sad. I found a little freedom by waching some tv series now, but like in video games, I don't know what to watch.

Started a new school year with a new class and it's going well. But it's been taking up all my time and energy, so I haven't been on the site as much as I would've liked. I've been super lucky with the SWSH - hatched a shiny Cutiefly after just 36 eggs! I'm hoping to get Mimikyu as well, then I'll have gathered all I wanted from this month's SWSH (already had a shiny A. Rattata).

I love reading, and would love to get into a new series of books.
I can really lose myself in a book, people can tell me a complete story without me noticing haha~
When things at work calm down, maybe I'll take another trip to the library for some new stuff to read.

Also, that feel when you've been listening to a lot of songs lately [namely stuff by Say Anything and Marianas Trench for me, but there's been some Good Charlotte and the Bleachers thrown into the mix as well] that strike up character muse, but then you don't have the time nor energy to sit down and write something. Also, none of your characters will cooperate and you simply can't seem to get a scene done, ugh. ;~;

I haven't posted here in a while. My aunt had to get emergency open heart surgery done and I've been worried for her. She was only supposed to go out and do a stress test, but she bombed it. They had to do a dye test only to find she had a 100% blockage in one artery, 80% in the other. She had the surgery yesterday and is finally off the ventilator. She had to be kept in the ICU for another day, and hopefully she'll get into a room tomorrow.

For the SWSH, I hatched my first shiny Alolan Rattata. I forgot that shinies gave Shards as long as you didn't have the plate, so I got my 4th Dread Shard. I decided to try and finish my Dread Plate so I went after a second one. I just hatched my second shiny Alolan Rattata so now I have my Dread Plate. I just need to get 3 more shards(1 Sky and 2 Fist) to get all of the plates.

Thanks for all the replies about my DotW/TBD question. I have to do both of the explorations eventually, I haven't done either of them yet. I'll probably start with TBD, I actually don't mind clicking all that much. I really do not want to do DotW without the EXP All and with how terrible my battle luck is that won't happen anytime soon. I only want to do them once so I can at least knock out the Insatiably Curious achievement, then I'll decide if I wanna do TBD the other two times .

Only a few more days until the Digimon movie release, I hope it's going to be fun but my expectations aren't all that high.
The thing they've been setting up the past few ones.... to me it seems difficult to deliver properly so I hope it all works out.

I remember watching the first Digimon movie that came out last year? But I have to watch the other parts still. This is the last part of the Digimon movie? If so, I really need to catch up then XD.

Tonight most of my shows come back on, survivor, svu, and criminal minds. I am not too thrilled about riverdale moving from Thursdays to Wednesdays though as I already watch too much on this day. Oh well, taping it is for some I guess. Are there any new fall shows that anyone is watching? I saw the good doctor on Monday which was OK and I know my dad and sisters boyfriend watched star trek discovery.
