Introduction ---Welcome to the "Think Outside The Egg" Group, or T.O.T.E for short. This group is dedicated to those who love the artistic styles of the egg sprites in the GPX+ and those who love to collect and see many different kinds of eggs. By Joining This Group, You Are Dedicating Yourself To The Art And Beauty Of Every Egg, And Every Pokémon That Is Born From Every Gorgeous Capsule Of Life~ (basically, this is just a simple club for those who are interested in spriting, spriting eggs, the GPX+ itself, and/or egg sprites). If you would like to enter this group, please read the "Rules And Sign-Up" section.
Rules And Sign-Up ---~ Follow the basic rules
~ This is an art group. There will be no thieving or stealing from this club. EVER.

The Eggdex ---
The egg dex can be found in the "Egg Dex". Current Eggdex Was Taken Off The Original and previous T.O.T.E Group. If anyone wants to post up any original egg Pokémon they came up with, I have a separate egg dex for it.

You can have stuff sticking out, you just need to keep the dimensions the same.

Most people use MS Paint. You don't need a super fancy program.

I can't speak for anyone else but I scratch stuff on to the eggs. I think cutting parts from the actual pokemon would be an odd way to do it. I only use the pokemon for coloring the egg.
Is that what you were asking about?

I'm can't scratch that well either but eggs are a little easier for me than custom pokes. So far I think my best are the gyrados and starmie.

There's two octillery eggs up there. The one I made from when this group was first started and then a recent one made by ghraal I think. They look a lot diff which is probably why no one noticed.

I do believe there should be like, 3 assigned judges, to decide which to keep, which to not. If, of course it's theirs, the other 2 can handle it.

As people have told you in Novelty Ex, you need to save images as png and not jpg which is why the quality of those sprites is so bad.

All you need to do is make sure you save it as the correct file type and it'll save exactly the way it looks before saving. I'm sure you would have gotten the same result as Corrine had you done that. The other file types destroy the quality.

I was just talking to my sister and I'm just going to add the eggs, even if they're repeated. Way too much trouble to do it the way I was intending to. It's everyone's way of making something for the group, ya know? But I'll still keep the made up eggs in another dex though.
I'll add up everyone's stuff to the pokemon dex.

A made up egg, i'm not sure if this is against the rules? It isn't really from anything I know, i hope that doesn't matter...
No, it's not against the rules. I just add it to the made up eggs dex. I think I made myself clear on it? x___x;;;

Edit* Just so you know, I did it on paint, since I have NO idea how to do pixels and what not.
And I forgot to darken the lower part and lighten the higher part
Sorry hon, but it needs to have no background. I think it needs more detail as well, like shadows and highlights. I think I should have an egg tutorial in the first post, if you want to look at it ^^

I guess I'll elaborate some more on it ^^;;
I recolored actual egg so it actually looks like a
egg. I would say since someone already made the egg previously, but you just recoloured it. It wouldn't be fair to the creator who made it before. Maybe put effort into making a made up one and I'll accept that.

I would say on your eggie, it needs more ... depth, it looks a bit too flat.
Also clean up the little horn on it, some pixels are there ... and it makes it look really choppy. Otherwise, very nicely done ^^

I Try to make the shades the sme as the Ralts from Pokemon Platinu which is the sprites GPX+ uses! Also does ralts get into the Egg Dex?

Hmmm let's see.
Well to be honest, to me it doesn't look like a shinx. You have to think, what would make it look like a shinx.
If maybe not by image, but by colour as well. Look at the tail, that's a big characteristic to me. Along with the yellow in his ear. That and it doesn't have the major colours of a shinx. Try adding the light blue as well.

@ shanani - The shinx egg basically lacks shinx's parts and all... u shud add the star somewhere, and like pheonix said, the colours arent proper, maybe give the egg a blue and black division?
As for ur horsea egg, i find it great, though it mite be slightly above dimensions.....
@NoveltyHunter - It just isnt regigigas without a bit of white.............

I tried to make the Flaffy that Pheonix did and it was worth it! I guess 1hr and 1/2 to fully scratch the colours and head thing and orb tail! Here it is! 
I didn't just copy paste I spent so much time on it!

I had exactly the same thing when I started spriting. If you don' want it to be transparent, then you have to save it with a coloured background (still 28X30) and the colour has to be different of the colours you used on your sprite.
There's also one little thing: Your bottom shade is supposed to smooth in a bit by that little line of shade above it.
So, you should make the little line a tiny bit brighterthan the bottom shade, to make it smooth. You made it brighter than the enlightened part, making it a highlight.

And forrestera - ure rite, but for sum pokemon its quite tough to get a proper shade like that, or else the bottom shade ends up being a border colour.... in that case i find its good enough without the middle line, so i just remove it completely to avoid ugliness

Well, my sister has a very creative mind, and came up with a fakemon that looks basically like a demonic change purse--it's pink with a little red heart on it, and the opening is a bunch of vicious teeth. There are several evos including a back pack and a suitcase, but among all of them there are the trademark eyes. They are shown here on the egg I made for it:

Your egg is out of dimensions. Please use the base egg that is on the main page and do not resize it. Stuff may be sticking out as long as it stays withing the 28px x 30px (i think thats the size).

Paint. I only have paint. My other computer had photoshop, but I wasn't very good at photoshop and that computer got a really bad virus...

Oh right =/ Paint is good to some extent but personally I don't recomment using it. It lags. If you can, try downloading paint.net. Its available at http://www.getpaint.net/ . Its very good

Okay, so remember that cranidos egg I did? I resized it to 28 x 30 and it looks HORRIBLE.
In 30 days this thing is gone because it's on iaza. So basically, I wouldn't think it would be accepted because of what it looks like now.

They aren't ears. xD They are the horns on a cranidos. I did use the egg format pheonix put on the front page, though. it's just once I finish a masterpiece,(Not really, I do it quick,) it is larger than 28 x 30. I'm not allowed to download anything and I only have paint.

1. You broke the rules by advertising your pokemon. Your not suppose to be advertising your pokemon here, and by clicking them links you are clicking your pokemon. Thats breaking the GTS+ rules. Not just T.O.T.E
2. The secret pokemon is so to make sure that you read the rules.
3. No advertising other groups unless it is in your signature.

when I read the secret pokemon I though it was your favorite pokemon and I wasnt intentionally advertising my pokemon that was my link to my page... this is the one club I actually like and I want to get in...I know the secret pokemon is not your favorite it is part of the form but I decided to put it up thanks ozzy and sorry bout the rules
