I have an idea for a new item (do not have a name for it.)
Basically you use it to change the gender of your pokemon. E.g- you get a shiny male bidoof and you wanted a female you can just go to the shop and buy that gender changing thingy and use it on your shiny bidoof so now you have a female. -------------------- |

Or, you just keep hunting for more Shiny Bidoofs.
I don't suppose this suggestion because I find it a bit silly to be hunting for Shiny's of Both genders for the same Pokemon. That's sadly the only thing I can think to say against this. I'm not one of those elite users that just have to have both genders of all the Pokemon, gender-less Pokemon removed from that list. so I don't see it the same way an elite user would. -------------------- "Thus the metric system did not really catch on in the States, unless you count the increasing popularity of the nine-millimeter bullet."

I like the idea, because when one's shiny hunting something for, let's say a male friend, then they wouldn't want a female shiny hatching out of the egg. It's true that a person can start the shiny hunt over to try for another male, but since it's based on luck it could take forever to get the gender one wants. The female could be lucky egg number 7, but then hunting again for the male could take over a thousand eggs. (Not exaggerating. xD) I suppose if one doesn't have hatching insanity that might be a good thing, but I don't know. Anyways, I support it.

I'm opposed to this suggestion, for a number of reasons.
First and foremost, I'm opposed to it because different species have different probabilities of hatching male or female. All the starters are 87.5% male, for instance. It'd be unbalancing to let users just gender swap their pokemon. Second, it doesn't make sense, canonically speaking. Who ever heard of a gender-bending pokemon? Granted, the female Mr. Mimes are a bit disturbing, but still... -------------------- |

I just shot down this same suggestion a couple weeks ago I think.... it better not be time for me to update the do not suggest list with something new.
Anyway, I pretty much agree with Pikaruge and the fact that it's just an easy way out of something. -------------------- Overtaken by Net & Zodi on that track!
