I just defeated Barry in Hearthome city. This is my team so far (subject to change):

Monferno lvl 26

Luxio lvl 26

Bidoof lvl 6 (hm slave)

egg(happiny)

Drifblim lvl 28

p.s. I'm not going to keep happiny, and i was wondering if there are any water pokemon resistant to electric moves

There's Gastrodon, which I have and there's Quagsire. Take your pick, I choose Gastrodon because I forgot that there even was Quagsire.

Yes, because Bidoof and Drifblim are weak to Electric, a Water/Ground type would be a good idea.

You can find Wooper on Route 212, just south of Hearthome.
The other option is Shellos. It's only a Water-type, but, at level 30, it will gain Ground typing on its evolution to Gastrodon. Shellos are all over the place. You can find green ones on Route 212, and pink ones on Route 205. These aren't the only places to find Shellos, but you probably can't get to the others yet.

If you're having trouble deciding between Wooper and Shellos, their evolutions aren't very different in terms of base stats. Quagsire's Defense is higher and his Attack is slightly higher than Gastrodon's, while Gastrodon has the better Special Attack/Defense and slightly better Speed (though it isn't even really worth talking about because they're both very slow).

He meant in Diamond.

Squirtle isn't available yet in pre-national dex.

Try Whiscash. He's pretty good.

Too bad many water types that are resistant to electric are slow. I also forgot to tell you that I'm not keeping the Bidoof. It is only temporarly. Also, can anyone give me advice on picking the rest of my team? PLEASE REPLY ASAP! Thank You!

That's not available in Pre-national Dex, like Nightmare Vocaloid siad about Squirtle.

I would say Quagsire or Gastrodon.

Nooooo, keep Bidoof. No matter what HM you need - well, except Fly and Defog - Bibarel's got you. For that, it's very useful.

Okay. If you don't want a Water/Ground type, you can find Buizel (a pure Water type) pretty much anywhere Shellos is found. His evolution, Floatzel, is blazing fast, especially in the rain (though his defense stats are a bit lacking).
And.. who doesn't love Gyarados? True, it's extremely vulnerable to Electric attacks, but hey XD I recommend Gyarados over Floatzel.

...Aaaand we're completely ignoring the fact that you have an extra team slot left over after this. It isn't easy, but you can find Gible in the secret tunnel underneath Cycling Road on Route 206. I highly suggest you get one of these. Garchomp will keep your Electric weakness in check without adding other severe ones as, say, Graveler would.

So, your fully-evolved team, assuming you take my advice, would be Infernape, Luxray, Drifblim, Garchomp, Gyarados, and Bibarel (who is only around to cut down trees and move rocks for you).

Actually, I don't want anyone to get angry or be offended, but... I HATE BIDOOFS AND BIBARELS AS HM SLAVES. I think they are creepy! I'd rather have a furret. Furrets have higher speed and slightly higher defense. Plus Bibarel is weak to grass, electric, and fighting. Furrets are only weak against fighting. Again, I don't mean to offend anyone, this is just my opinion.

Well you can't get a furret unless you also have Heartgold/SoulSilver. You could trade a furret from their onto your diamond game.

If you just send sentret and intend on evolving that, be prepared for really hard training, even though it evolves at Lv. 15- I know from experience.

And if you were to send it over, I highly reccomend using it to the full extent, rather than as an HM slave. Furret can learn some great moves- Mine knows surf, sucker punch, focus blast and shadow claw. Instead of using an HM slave, I reccomend spreading you HM moves through all of your pokemon.

I would try a Whiscash too. They're pretty cool.

Well guys...I can't really trade unless my cousin comes over my house and he lets me use his ds to trade from pokemon diamond. He only comes like once a year. I'm just making it clear that i can't really trade all the time... Plus i just give hms to pokemon in my team.

kickass clan,

now theres your problem. giving HM;s to party members (unless its like waterfall: gyarados (aqua tail could be other option), surf:empoleon(hydro pump could work a bit better depends on your likings) or rock climb for most physical pokemon)

LOL
but yeah try whishcash

Zen Headbutt
Earthquake
Aqua Tail (Waterfall is safer with the accuracy, your choice)
Then any move of choice. Hidden Power [Fire, Flying] but to be honest, not even i can bother with IV's and hidden power.
