Have you ever heard the story of the Ancients? No? Well, you have now.
Once upon a time, (clichéd, I know,) there lived seven ancients spirits who watched over the land, and made sure that no-one did anything naughty. Now, one of these spirits, was jealous of the other spirits, and wanted to be the only spirit alive. He went up against the against the spirits, and tried to kill them. He was overpowered though, and to protect themselves, the six other spirits trapped him in the demon mask.
This, of course, did nothing to make him happier, so he started scheming, and gradually becoming more powerful. Time passed, and the Ancients went into hiding, giving the demon mask to the person they thought they could trust. Turns out they were wrong. Intrigued by the mask the Ancients had given him, an ordinary baker tried on the mask. The Ancient trapped in the mask entered the mind of the baker, and eventually, persuaded him to go after the ancients, and kill them. So the baker went out, wearing the mask, and found the Ancients, hiding in their special place in London. Do you know what happened next?
Ever heard of the Great Fire of London? Well now you know where it started. Long story short, the Ancients defeated the Ancient in the demon mask, and killed the baker, for good measure. But the power they used up exerted them too much, and so they themselves turned into masks. These masks were found, and were separated, for the man who found them knew of the Ancients, and knew of the trouble they could bring.
Many years later, and here we are, in Japan, modern era. A business man is looking through his (deceased) father's belongings. He comes across a strange ornate mask, that reminds him of a demon. Remembering his father's words of "Even masks can have stories," the man become curious, and decides to try the mask on...

You are a person either living in Japan, or visiting Japan. You have come across this flyer for a mask festival, and decide you might as well go. You go to this mask festival, and realize the mask you had brought along (If you had brought one along) has vanished! You see a stall with six masks hanging on it, and decide to buy one.

You put it on, and nothing happens, but for some reason you have the feeling of suddenly waking up from a long nap. You shrug this off, and continue walking around the festival, until you hear a voice murmuring. You look around, seeing no-one, and feel puzzled, until you hear a voice introducing itself as an
Ancient. Naturally, you're a tad shocked.

The Demon Mask - The mask that contains the Demon Ancient, Akuma. Akuma is impatient, and prone to fits of rage. Karu is his brother. His main magic is Darkness magic.
The Sun Mask - The mask that contains the Sun Ancient, Karu. Karu is very regal, and the bravest out of all of the Ancients. Akuma is his brother. His main magic is Light magic.
The Ogre Mask - The mask that contains the Ogre Ancient, Oni. Oni is actually kind hearted, and wants nothing more than peace. He will still fight as strong as possible for his companions and those he cares for. His main magic is Power magic.
The Fox Mask - The mask containing the Fox Ancient, Kitsune. Kitsune is cheeky, sneaky, sarcastic and cocky. She is an accomplished thief. Her main magic is Fire Magic.
The Forest Mask - The mask that contains the Forest Ancient, Ha. Ha is kind and gentle, but can be very fierce if you get on her wrong side. Her main magic is Earth Magic.
The Princess Mask - The mask that contains the Princess Ancient, Kanari. Kanari is snobbish, but can maintain her head in bad situations. She always goes with the easiest option, and is very vain. Her main magic is Water Magic.
The Raven Mask - The mask that contains the Raven Ancient, Karasu. Karasu is untrusting, and looks at others with a distasteful eye. He only respects his fellow Ancients, but is still wary of them. His main Magic is Wind Magic.
Yes I know some of these aren't Japanese masks, but they're still masks that suit their Ancient.

Alright, seeing as I know what I want these Ancients to look like, here are their descriptions.
Akuma - a man with red skin that is dressed in a black suit. He has black hair, and has a permanently angry look on his face.
Karu - a man with white skin that is dressed in a white suit. He has gold hair, and is wearing his sun mask.
Oni - a very large man with red skin, frizzy black hair, and very large muscles. He is only wearing a loincloth, and has white fangs jutting from his jaw.
Kitsune - a very large white fox that has nine tails, and has red lines all over it. He nine tails are always moving, and the tips are a pure silver.
Ha - an elegant lady wearing a ball gown that seems to be made of green leaves. She has long, flowing brown hair, and has a rose blossom tucked in her hair. She is wearing her leaf mask.
Kanari - a lady wearing a japanese kimono and carrying two fans. She is wearing her princess mask.
Karasu - a large, black raven. He as markings on his face similar to that of his mask, but he has a scar over one eye.
The faces of each Ancient look exactly like their mask.

Name: Yokuza 'Kuzu' Suiton
Age: 19
Gender: Female

Personality: Yokuza, or Kuzu, is a whole lot different from the Ancient inhabiting her mask. She is adamant towards anyone opposing her or, god beware, threaten her. She is very strong-willed and determined to always do the right thing. It isn't uncommon that she disagrees with somebody and unless she can be shown something else is better, she will defend her opinion.

She is also very easily annoyed. She will get annoyed easily and give of some snaky comments that aren't mean enough to count as insults, but at the same time can be seen as such. Kuzu speaks German due to her upbringing and will often insult people in that language. She is quite sure that very few people speak that language in Japan.

However, Kuzu can also be completely different. sometimes, she can be un-caring, giving a damn about what other people do - or at least seem so. In her head, she stocks all information she can get, be it faces or places or whatever. She has an excellent sense of direction and is able to find her way back practically anywhere.

Also, she can control herself immensely. es, she gets anoyed easily, but if she doesn't want to give off a good impression (she isnt too prone on people getting angry with her), she can be very polite. However, she will still get annoyed, but will keep all that frustration to herself.

Mask: The Princess Mask

History: Kuzu was born in Japan nineteen years ago, to a Japanese mother, Saruka, and German Father, Ray. Ray had emigrated three years prior to that to Japan, where he met Saruka and fell in love. She became pregnant soon after that, and Kuzu was born in a small village in the north of Japan.

Kuzu's life was rather normal, but not completely. She was surrounded by mainly completely Asian kids, and although she had inherited the black hair and dark skin from her mother, she had also inherited the crystal blue eyes of her father, a rarity. She wasn't particularly picked on, but sometimes some older boys would do so, ad she learned to throw insults back, but she wasn’t stupid - she never got caught.

When Kuzu finished school, she had already established dreams and goals, and she knew she would have to leave the village if she she wanted to realize them. And so she left behind her parents, promising to stay in contact, ad her little sister Naomi, to leave for a bigger city in Japan to study Arts.

Here, she furthered her knowledge about Arts and the things she liked most. She learned to write a variation of different Kanji, older and newer ones, she furthered her Nin-Jitsu and she tried learning new languages in addition to Japanese and German - Failing miserably.

When she found the flyer for the Mask festival, she was excited, wanting to go there. She had always wanted to go o Venice but it had been too expensive, and this was as close as she would get. Luckily, it was held in the city in which she lived now, and she didn't have a far way, and so she bought a mask on the market.

This mask didn’t seem to sui her, but according to her own opinion, masks rarely should - after all, acting is no fun when you can be yourself. Oh if only she had known...

Anyway, here's Timothy, I'll have Yukito up later:

Name: Timothy Kaguya
Age: 20
Gender: Male

Personality: Timothy is very hot-headed, and has a tendency to get irritated over things people say. He is always itching to pick a fight with people, a side effect for being picked on all his life. He is quick to respond with wit, and is quite cocky when it comes to fights.

Timothy can be quite sarcastic, but he can change his attitude immediately, and be very polite and gentlemanly. He is arrogant, and can get very rude when it comes to people he really doesn't like. He has no patience for other idiots, and people who are blatantly trying to be sleazy and trying to impress their friends. He has a lot of courage, and hates it when he can't help anyone.

Mask: Fox Mask - Kitsune

History: Timothy was born in Tokyo to a mother who had been abandoned by her lover after he realised she was pregnant. His mother called him Timothy, after the english doctor who helped birth him, but gave him her last name, Kyoto. Timothy grew up with his mother in a single bedroom apartment in downtown Tokyo, and always tried to help her.

As Timothy grew up, he went to the best Japanese school his mother could afford to send him to, which, unfortunately, wasn't saying much. Timothy was picked on for his mainly english looks, as the only thing he had gotten from his mother was her straight hair and green eyes. He learned to fight back, and stand up for himself, although this usually got him into trouble.

Timothy's mother, Tohru, was working as a part time waitress in a café, but was barely able to support herself and Timothy. One day, when she was working, a man seemed to fall in love with her, and kept asking her for her number until she finally relented. He called, and they set up dates and movies, until one day, he finally proposed.

Tohru instantly accepted, and they were married the following week. Timothy was about ten when this happened, and accepted it, although grudgingly, for he liked it when only he and his mother were family. They moved out of their one-bedroom apartment, and into a fairly large house in another town. Tohru moved Timothy out of school (the one thing he liked about this marriage) and into a state school.

More years passed and Timothy became a big brother to Sakura and Shigure Kyoto (his new father's name). He grew to like his father, until eventually he felt like his real son. Timothy got through school with flying colours, and took up a job as a waiter in a restaurant. He got into a university course for Computer Programming, and moved out of home at age nineteen.

One year later and Timothy is still going strong in his university degree, and doing quite well at his job. His little brother and sister have grown up quite a bit, and are now in school. His mother and father are doing fine, with his mother being promoted to the actual owner and manager of the café, and his father keeping going with his career of being a lawyer. Timothy had come across this flyer for a Mask festival, and decided he should go.

He went to the festival, only to realize that the mask he had brought had vanished. He didn't think this mattered though, and so he bought a cool looking fox mask off a stall...

I actually came up with Kanari because I wanted a really prissy and stuck-up character, and what was better than a princess? I do like how your character differs from Kanari, it should make this fun.

Ok, here's the form!
Not much, really, but it's something.

Name: Rin Hara
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Personality: She is usually quiet and reserved, but does have a hidden fun side. She goes to as many parties and on as many trips as she can, but doesn't usually show her emotions. She takes organization seriously and never goes anywhere without a plan. She prioritizes things in an instant and usually doesn't change her mind. She is also caring for her sister and those friends she trusts.

She is spontaneous at times and this can make her sister happy. She is intuitive, but doesn't know why and this is without detailed knowledge of the subject at hand. She is usually right and knows it, but doesn't like to gloat or throw her opinions out at that moment. She has an uncanny insight into people and situations. She sometimes gets "feelings" about things and intuitively understands them. She is very sensitive to conflict, and cannot tolerate it very well. When in a conflict, she can become easily agitated or angry.

Mask: Raven Mask

History: She has a mother and a father that work in the same business, so they are constantly on business trips. She grew up with a sister younger than her by one year. Her sister's name is Aki (A as in at, K as in kitchen, I as in I) and Rin is very protective. They are always together and no one has ever seen them apart. They get along better than anyone in the world and don't keep secret from each other. They have two nannies, one nanny for each of them, but Rin and Aki are usually together, so their job is easy.

Rin has always wondered what business her parents were really in, but never questioned them about it. She and her sister each have a dog. Rin has a German Shepard and Aki has a Beagle. The German Shepard is named Ace, only Rin and Aki know why, and the Beagle is named Max. Rin and Aki speak Japanese, but they know English and Latin as well. Even though both of them were able to skip grades many times, Aki only skipped once to be in the same grade as Rin so they could be together. Every year they make sure they get the same classes, lunch wave, and locker locations. Aki skipped second grade and went to third grade with her sister and their nannies made sure they were in the same class. Almost everyone who doesn't know them calls them twins, but that isn't true, although they do pretend it from time to time to get a good laugh at people's reactions.

Question: What is the basic plot that we will be following?


Name: Tatsuo Nasami
Age: 23
Gender: Female
Personality: Tatsuo is a very determined person. All she wants to do is please and to not be looked down upon. She is afraid of making herself look like an idiot but through her manga has been able to open herself up more. The ability to convey characters to others as being just as loved as they are to her is greatly uplifting.

She however has grown mostly to be antisocial; simply because she works so often that she doesn’t have time to see anyone besides her partner. Her partner, although nice and all, isn’t the perfect person to practically live her life with so she often tries to find little escapes (her reasoning for going to the festival).

She does not want to stand out when around people. She would much rather blend in but at least be noted for being there. She sometimes has basic fears like others that people around her are talking about her or noticing some fault which is another reason why she isn’t around people a lot. However, when it comes to tradition she is all for it.

Japanese culture is highly important to her and a great inspiration in her life. She is also quite friendly to tourists and helps them when they do not understand proper Japanese; however, she has never settled down with anyone and does not decide to. The complications of a relationship are far too distracting in the lifestyle which she leads.

Mask: Sun Mask

History: Tatsuo is of mixed origin. Her mother was Japanese and her father American. The pair met for the first time in Tokyo, Japan during a festival. Her mother had been going only because she wished to place her wishes on the wishing tree. When she went to place her tag upon the tree, wishing for good fortune, she ran into the man whom which she would marry.

He had not even intended to participate in the festival until a few of his friends, Japanese born, forced him to come along and partake in Japanese Tradition. It so happened that both were going to place the same tag upon the wishing tree which was what drew her mother to her father while her father was drawn to her mother simply due to looks.

He had seen plenty of Japanese women but for some reason this particular one seemed more beautiful than the rest and so they spoke with each other, her putting up with his broken Japanese. The two left the festival intrigued and somewhat loving of each other. It wasn’t long before they fell in love and had produced Tatsuo.

Giving up on his work, the family decided to remain in Japan so that their daughter could be raised as their mother had lived. During her younger years, Tatsuo loved everything that was traditional and always begged her father to buy her new kimonos or other forms of the Japanese culture. And as she aged, she was drawn to a classic Japanese setting, manga and anime.

They soon became her greatest love and she set out to become a mangaka, writer and/or artist of manga. She hoped to find a writer and create a manga that would one day become an anime. However, her hopes were low as a child. She wanted her dream so much that she criticized her work harshly and thought of herself as no good but it was her mother who continued to push for her daughter’s dream.

When Tatsuo was eighteen she met the man who would become her writer and her, his artist. The pair spent many months working on a plot until they hit something which they both agreed upon and believed would be popular enough to at least get them noticed if not a basic run of the line publication in JUMP. Their first attempt however proved to be incomplete.

Both of them were criticized and they scrapped the story there after. Since then they played around with stories and concept art until they hit something else, a refined version which their editor had pushed for. Taking it to JUMP, they were able to get it posted in Jump. They ranked fourth in the reader polls which was good in all but not good enough to get them anywhere.

It was not until they were twenty that they hit their seller which allowed them to get a series in JUMP which when she was twenty-one became a series of its own. Now that she is twenty-three, she and her partner are still working on their manga which is now in their eighth volume. She quite often only works on this and does not go outside but she decided to go to the festival because she thought that the peace might do her some good.

Who da man?: Blazikid or I’m da man.

Appearance: Tatsuo is 5’9” which is only slightly taller than average female height. Her skin is rather pale and devoid of marks as she is still young and has not had any unfortunate encounters that would leave scars. Her hair, which is brown and thin, reaches half way down her back. It has a slight curl in the end and is easily moved by the wind.

Her face, which is soft in complexion and form, is cheerful yet calm. Her smile is opening and receiving but is rarely shown. Her attire to the festival consists of a kimono in more of the style of a ceremonial kimono. It consists of a white frock underneath, a darkened soft green frock on top with gold trim and a red kimono with a tan circular pattern.

The kimono itself reaches to her feet which are covered by traditional Japanese styled sandals while the sleeves reach to her palms, in most cases covering them. The outfit, which is slightly showier than would be worn to a festival, is tied with a red sash, the same as the trimming around the gold. She carries a small bag which is tan in color and ties with a draw string. On the string is a small cherry blossom ringlet.

@Wishful: ACCEPTED! And you didn't really need to add the appearance, I was going to get to that when all the people were in. A more detailed plot will be up soon, but here's the bare bones: our characters are all at the festival, when demon guys shows up, and tries to kill us all. We escape, but he continues to chase us, and we need to find out how to deal with him.

@May: Something about your character seems off... Do you mind making the History a bit longer, and break it up a little bit? If you do that it should be fine. (And your character maybe a bit older?)

@Yurianni: Do you reckon you'd be able to give me a RP example? I'll reserve you, but no promises. I'm only doing this because I haven't seen you around before, but I'm grateful you said please.

This lokos kinda neat. Reminds me of Zelda Majoras Mask ;D

Name: Tenguntai Noctis
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Personality:

In battle Tenguntai acts vicious and never gives up. Even at certain death he won't give up and battles onward to win.
He fights with power and skill but lacks some speed as Tenguntai wasn't really good at this skill. When he kills someone by battle, after he places a black rose on their chest and takes the weapon of his opponent.
The skill Tenguntai has is something inpresive as he can do all sorts of stuff like wall running, wall kicking (just to get behind the opponent) and he can also do some moves with his weapon like stand on the hild (handle. Don't know if this is the proper name) and get some extra jump or he can lunge his weapon in solid material and use it to hang on to something.


His eating and drinking habit is what Tenguntai loves best. He can eat all sorts of food coming from spice, sweet, bitter or even a mixture of wierd and wonderfull foods like bannanas and chocolate milk (Is some nice food).
Tenguntais favourite taste is Spice and would do anything to get the most spicyest thing in the world and taste it to fell whats it like and to see if he can actually eat it all.
His drinking is also one of his favourite past times. He can drink anything including blood if forced. But he likes drinking coffee if he wants to stay awake or sleep himself to bed with some nice herbal tea.



Tenguntai loves myths and legends and researches them to know more about it. He is highly curious about the orbit and other spacial worlds if there were some to be found.
But legends is what exites him the most as he wants to find out if it is true and if anything can be gained from it like some ancient artifacts, power and so on.






Mask: The Ogre mask (I would chose the fox mask but your other character has that =( )

History:

He is currently visiting Japan for the festival but his original mask has vanished. So he found this very neat mask that looked like it can give someone big power. But that was what the appearance says.
But as a child he was just a silent child. He dd have a few friends but nothing major. He just hangs around with them and have a good time.

A couple more years later he was in training and was doing good so far.
When he came home he found a flyer stuck on his tellevision with the japanese mask festival and decided to go for a little break and to get away from home for awhile.
In the past Tenguntai was always interested in Japan and it's culture. Like swrod fights, remedies and other related terms.


He was interested in Japan when his father gave him a a flute which was only made in Japan and also gave Tenguntai some sushi for lunch one time.
Ever since he always was on the lookout in shops for stuff like his special flute if he had the time.

Tenguntai never really did find love in his past because he never plucked up the courage to ask someone for a date but now he hopes to find someone in the festival he likes and spend some time with. Maybe even be in a relationship...who knows.

@Luna Luke: No. Just, no.I can see several things wrong with your bio. 1. The Ancient's name is Oni, not your characters. I'm quite sure no-one would name their son Oni. 2. No Surname. 3. You're personality is, I'm not kidding, FOUR SENTENCES LONG. AND IT'S NOT EVEN A PARAGRAPH LENGTH. 4. Yukito has the Demon mask, AKA, IT'S ALREADY TAKEN. and 5. I specifically said no tragic backstories. Guess what you have? A TRAGIC BACKSTORY. That's about the size of two paragraphs.

Fix those, and I just might consider it.

Name: Luna Opus

Age: 17

Gender: Female

Personality: Luna is quiet and very self contained. She doesn’t interact with many people, but is very big on traveling and exploring the world. She’s a big fan of nature and enjoys spending time in the woods alone. She’s very nervous and jumpy; she isn’t a fan of large crowds and doesn’t enjoy spending a lot of time around actual people. She’s a big fan of art and loves reading about different cultures and arts.

Mask: Forest Mask

History: She was born in America; and abandoned at a young age by her mother. Her father died when she was born, and her mother abandoned her soon after. Though it wouldn’t really have mattered because she died just three days after giving up her daughter.

She was adopted by her foster mother Maria. Maria cared for Luna until she died of cancer at forty, when Luna was just thirteen. Maria loved her like her own mother never did. She would take Luna to all sorts of interesting places; such as the zoo, the Amusment Park, or the mall. She raised the girl through school and taught her most of the skills she uses in life.

Since then Luna has been tossed from foster home to foster home, but never found a woman like Maria. She is currently living with the Jenkins family. She has kept her last name from her original mother. The Jenkins’ are a family of four, with two parents and two sons, both of which are adopted. They were hoping for another boy, but instead they got her.

She lives with them in Florida, the house is an old plantation house, with lots of yard space for the kids to run around. Luna has taken to exploring the woods around the house, and knows them very well. She spends a lot of time away from the family.
